Giovanni Morale"Il polittico di Monte San Martino"Milano, Palazzo MarinoCome ogni anno, la grande mostra di Natale a Palazzo Marino, l'appuntamento ormai tradizionale che regala ai milanesi e ai turisti un'esposizione straordinaria, gratuita, allestita in Sala Alessi, il grande e storico salone di rappresentanza del Comune di Milano. Fino all'11 gennaio 2026, sarà possibile ammirare uno dei più grandi capolavori del Rinascimento italiano: il Polittico di Monte San Martino di Carlo e Vittore Crivelli, opera del Quattrocento che raramente ha lasciato la sua sede originaria nella chiesa di San Martino Vescovo a Monte San Martino (Macerata).La complessa ‘macchina' pittorica, datata intorno al 1490, è composta da dieci tavole con una predella raffigurante Cristo benedicente tra i dodici apostoli. Al centro, la Vergine con il Bambino evoca il Mistero natalizio, offrendo ai visitatori un'esperienza artistica e spirituale di grande intensità. Nei suoi oltre cinque secoli di storia, il polittico è stato spostato solo tre volte: Ancona 1950, Fermo 1951 e Venezia 1961. L'allestimento a Milano rappresenta dunque un evento di rilievo straordinario, reso possibile grazie a un articolato lavoro di collaborazione istituzionale e culturale tra enti e amministrazioni.L'organizzazione della mostra a Palazzo MarinoProdotta e promossa dal Comune di Milano, Arcidiocesi di Fermo e Intesa Sanpaolo, Il Polittico di Monte San Martino di Carlo e Vittore Crivelli è un progetto di Palazzo Reale e Gallerie d'Italia, in collaborazione con il Comune e la Parrocchia di Monte San Martino, realizzato da Civita Mostre e Musei con il sostegno di Rinascente. Il catalogo, che include saggi introduttivi e di approfondimento, oltre alle schede delle opere, è edito da Allemandi.Chi erano i fratelli CrivelliI fratelli Crivelli erano originari di Venezia, crocevia commerciale e artistico del Quattrocento insieme a Firenze. I collegamenti tra la Repubblica veneziana, le coste adriatiche e i centri manifatturieri dell'Appennino umbro-marchigiano favorivano gli scambi e il movimento di artisti. Carlo e Vittore Crivelli soggiornarono infatti anche a Zara, una delle principali città della Dalmazia, che in quel periodo era sotto il dominio veneziano, ma operarono prevalentemente nelle Marche. Qui realizzarono, di solito lavorando separatamente, numerosi polittici dorati, in maggioranza conservati oggi in importanti musei nazionali e internazionali.Il polittico della chiesa di Monte San Martino è l'unica opera realizzata insieme dai due fratelli: avviato da Carlo, che interruppe il lavoro per motivi sconosciuti, l'altare fu completato successivamente dal fratello minore. L'esposizione a Milano consente quindi sia di apprezzare la maestria di Carlo, sia di riscoprire la figura meno nota di Vittore, costituendo un'importante occasione di approfondimento per studiosi e pubblico.Le opere dei Crivelli a MilanoMilano è profondamente ‘crivellesca', soprattutto grazie a Napoleone che ordinò il trasferimento dall'Italia centrale di molte tavole di Carlo Crivelli: una quindicina di queste sono custodite alla Pinacoteca di Brera, due si trovano al Castello Sforzesco e altre due al Museo Poldi Pezzoli, testimonianza della lungimiranza collezionistica di Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli. Fu quindi il periodo storico napoleonico a portare a Milano le opere di un autore allora poco conosciuto che oggi è entrato a far parte del patrimonio culturale cittadino, e proprio a questo periodo sono dedicate a Milano due importanti mostre, aperte anche durante le festività natalizie: una monografica a Palazzo Reale su Andrea Appiani, ‘primo pittore' di Napoleone ed epigono del Neoclassicismo a Milano, esponente di rilievo della Pinacoteca proprio quando arrivarono le tavole di Crivelli; una mostra alle Gallerie d'Italia su ‘Milano Capitale', che rievoca il periodo napoleonico in Italia (1796-1815), epoca di profonde trasformazioni politiche, economiche e sociali che segnarono anche il mondo dell'arte. Roma, custode del patrimonio antico, rimane la capitale universale delle arti, mentre Milano, cuore politico e culturale del Nord e sede del Regno d'Italia, diventa un vivace centro di innovazione artistica. Un capolavoro di spiazzante attualità, «a metà strada tra Georges Perec e Agota Kristof» (Télérama).Con la distaccata curiosità di una zoologa intenta a decifrare i comportamenti di una specie animale sconosciuta, in Bambine Alice Ceresa osserva un particolare gruppo di mammiferi: una famiglia borghese del Novecento, formata da padre, madre e due figlie. Attraverso il suo sguardo scientifico, vediamo come le sorelline vengano iniziate a un mondo di usanze e convenzioni, dalla corretta manipolazione delle posate alla disposizione del mobilio. A questo asfissiante schema si può sottrarsi solo tramite ribellioni minime: momenti di sonnambulismo, disegni che satireggiano i genitori, brevi fughe nella «pericolosità del mondo». Nel seguire le bambine dalla prima infanzia all'adolescenza, Ceresa rileva e rivela «con splendido accanimento mentale», come ha scritto Giorgio Manganelli, i meccanismi della famiglia tradizionale, in cui ogni membro è costretto a interpretare un ruolo determinato da due indiscussi confini: il genere e l'età.Alla prima apparizione del libro, nel 1990, non era scontato cogliere con tanta nitidezza come tali confini, intersecandosi, segnassero le vite; e nemmeno lo era affermare che i ruoli tradizionali (uomo e donna, marito e moglie, figlia e genitore) fossero, appunto, ruoli, con le loro battute e i loro costumi. Ceresa lo rende evidente creando una propria lingua, il cui segreto risiede forse, come ha scritto Dacia Maraini, nel «felice stare in bilico frala lingua dell'intelligenza sperimentale e la lingua della memoria infantile».Alice Ceresa (Basilea 1923 - Roma 2001) nel 1950 si è trasferita dalla Svizzera a Roma, dove ha vissuto lavorando come traduttrice e consulente letteraria per Longanesi. Il suo esordio letterario avviene con La figlia prodiga (La Tartaruga 1967), cui seguirono La morte del padre (La Tartaruga 1979) e Bambine (Einaudi 1990). Nottetempo ha pubblicato Piccolo dizionario dell'inuguaglianza femminile (2007, 2020).Tatiana Crivelli Ordinaria di letteratura italiana all'università di Zurigo, già Visiting Professor nelle Università di Ann Arbor (Michigan) e di Venezia Ca' Foscari, è attiva in diversi comitati editoriali internazionali e dirige le riviste altrelettere (su studi di genere e letteratura italiana) e RISL (su Giacomo Leopardi). Tra i suoi campi di specializzazione ci sono le poetesse rinascimentali (in particolare Vittoria Colonna), le autrici dell'arcadia fra Sette e Ottocento (tra cui Teresa Bandettini, Fortunata Sulgher e Pellegra Bongiovanni) e gli studi culturali transnazionali (in quest'ambito ha diretto anche due progetti quadriennali di ricerca del Fondo Nazionale Svizzero). I love asking people how they either construct a fragrance or brief it into their perfumer, and this particular answer went so far beyond anything I could've imagined in that Thibaud actually doesn't just focus on the scent- his role feels almost more like a director putting an entire scene together. We also had a really interesting chat about how nuanced the wider conversation around raw materials needs to be, which I think is actually true of the need for nuance when we talk about sustainability in general, not just in perfumery. Early on Thibaud told me that since childhood he's wanted to create a cosmetic brand, and the longer we spoke for the less surprising it was to me that he'd had such clear vision from so early in his life- when you listen to him it becomes very clear that he is a founder who is in this industry because of a deep, deep love of it, which is always my favourite kind of guest. In this conversation, Thibaud shares why there's no room for ego in perfumery, how you can tell if a product will be popular within about two days of its launch, and the one emotion that every Maison Crivelli fragrance is linked to- the feeling of surprise. Ma passion pour le parfum est grande, très grande. Selon moi, c'est le super héros dans toute sa splendeur : il vous ouvre les portes de lieux merveilleux, il vous fait voyager, il vous drape de pouvoir selon l'intention et l'humeur désirée pour bien commencer la journée, et il convoque vos plus beaux souvenirs en un temps recors. Un champ des possibles infini qu'un parfumeur de niche est parvenu à raviver en moi : Maison Crivelli. Créée en 2018 par Thibaud, cette maison de haute parfumerie propose des jus particulièrement originaux. Par ce terme j'entends que la partition olfactive sort de tout ce qu'on à l'habitude de sentir, tout en restant très accessible pour les nez les moins confirmés. Ce botaniste émotionnel, comme il se définit, est un baroudeur et véritable conteur. Il a décidé d'incorporer son goût du voyage et des histoires dans ses parfums inattendus que je qualifierais de joueurs. Car les accords sont osés tout en partant de notes que vous connaissez. Ils ont juste ce twist élégant qui marquera votre sillage pour longtemps. Ensemble, nous avons parlé de son parcours, de ses origines familiales qui l'ont nettement influencées, de ses très nombreux voyages et d'odeurs évidemment. Bonne écoute !
