In this economy, traveling millennials and more are flocking to destinations based on their desire to fill their social feeds with swoon-worthy pictures from Instagrammable destinations. Late to the Airbnb game but ready to take the plunge, my guest Jeff Brown, the Co-Founder at Loma Homes, did the research, and the results told them Orlando was the place to be with excellent profitability potential. But upon closer inspection, they found out there were 10s of thousands of vacation rentals in the highly competitive theme park mecca. To stand out and be competitive, they would need to differentiate their units in a BIG way. On this episode of Get Paid for Your Pad, Jeff joins me to share how Loma Homes partnered with specialty contractors to create their sought-after properties. With names such as Once Upon a Castle and Pirates Pearl and showcasing amenities such as a Cinderella carriage bed and Southern-style wraparound balconies, Jeff and his team have taken leveraging Instagram-worthy destinations to a new level. Listen in as Jeff walks us through some affordable ways STR hosts can add a theme to a unit to give it that photo-worthy luxury quality without breaking the bank. Plus, he shares his insight into the opportunities available in the current Airbnb model and why now is still an excellent time for entrepreneurs and investors to jump into the STR market. Topics Covered How Jeff and his team worked with custom contractors to create custom beds, fog machines, and lighting effects for their themed unitsWhy location, location, location is more important now than everHow to invest in resort areas with high seasons for peak income flowJeff's take on the current opportunities available in the Airbnb modelWhat Loma Homes is working on now to compete in the current market and beyondWhy Jeff thinks now might be the perfect time to jump into the STR marketConnect with JeffLoma Homesjeff@loma-homes.comResources Get Paid for Your Pad YouTube ChannelOutdoorsyLegends X STR AcceleratorSTR Legends MastermindGet Paid for Your Pad NewsletterEmail jasper@getpaidforyourpad.com See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Most people don't agree on a lot of things in this world. But if you're a runner or endurance athlete we can all agree that Injuries suck.Whether it's chronic (aka the pain has slowly been around and you've been ignoring it and keep training)Or... acute (aka you twisting your ankle or falling down hard). They suck. But what do you do when you inevitably get injured?First things first when you get injured: You can't compare yourself to the uninjured version.Don't compare times, fitness level, body fat percentage, etc. That is poison and does nothing for you.Learn to put a stake in the ground and scream KAIZEN (which is Japanese for constant improvement)What You Will LearnHow A little bit a lot of the time helps you in the long termwhy Nutrition is more important than everHow to measure your progressHow To stop playing the victim card and accept what's happenedMore on Kaizenand more!LinksReturning to running after injury - https://www.running-physio.com/returnafterinjury/Photos & videos of Mike's progress - Day 1 Crash https://www.instagram.com/p/CamXgHFFRHK/Photos & videos of Mike's progress - Day 4 https://www.instagram.com/p/CatPqzglB1V/Photos & videos of Mike's progress - Day 10 https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca9jC3jPTmf/Photos & videos of Mike's progress - Day 21 - Mike's Park WALK race! https://www.instagram.com/p/CcrujnNljPw/DLake/Daren Instagram - instagram.com/dlakecreates - Mike Trees - https://instagram.com/run.nrgPodcast Concept, Production and Marketing BY POD PASTEOriginal Music Used HereFull Transcript HERE See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

What is the future of the future? And how the heck can you be part of it so that you’re not left behind in the past? That is the topic of today’s episode with the one and only Frances Valintine, founder of The Mind Lab & Tech Futures Lab.Frances Valintine is one heck of a mover and shaker. And she believes that we’re living in a time of great advancement as well as rapid disruption. She believes that the progress and the ability to look forward and plan for tomorrow is essential for long term success.Frances is at the cutting edge of what we need to do to stay relevant as we move into a new era filled with uncertainty as technology takes over our jobs allowing us to essentially tap into more of our human skills. If you listened to Episode 32 on Untapped last week, I shared my presentation that I did recently talking about these major trends and forces happening and the future of work and learning.Frances takes us even further because she is living and breathing this. At the time of our interview, she had just finished up the Future of the Future conference that she hosted where she interviewed all these incredible people on stage. What I love about Frances is that she’s extremely forward thinking by the way she looks at how we reinvigorate our existing skills, adopt new practices, and integrate people who think differently in our businesses. As the founder and CEO of The Mind Lab & Tech Futures Lab, Frances works in the space between the whole ecosystem of learners from young children to experienced corporate leaders. While Tech Futures Lab helps organisations and individuals to navigate the contemporary world of business, The Mind Lab was developed to empower students, schools, teachers and principals to develop contemporary knowledge and practical skills for today’s rapidly evolving world and the future of work. She knows that our economic success has a greater reliance on people who can combine science, technology, design and creativity in ways that we are only just starting to realize. So in our interview, we discuss a lot of those things. And I think you are going to find it fascinating. I hope it’s going to open your eyes, expand your mind, and really get you thinking about what role you are going to play in the future of work and just how you can thrive in it.In this episode you’ll learn:What the future of work looks like and what that means for youWhy reinvigorating your skills and learning new skills is vital now more than everHow to thrive and remain relevant in the rapidly evolving worldFrances’ journey to become one of the most influential leaders in New ZealandResourcesConnect with Frances over on LinkedInLearn more about the Future of the Future live events here See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

As an adaptogen, it’s great at combating stress and preventing the release of excess cortisol. By regulating the body’s physiological response to stress, ashwagandha is believed by a number of researchers to be able to stave off the anxiolytic effects of day-to-day, and even acute stress. In one very impressive, double-blind, placebo-controlled study conducted in the year 2000, 88.2% of all participants who took a form of the ashwagandha herb saw a marked improvement in their anxiety levels after 2 and 6 weeks, the pre-determined follow-up times of observance. Certainly more research  should be conducted, but the more this wonder-herb is being studied the more promise it shows. As a suspected potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, it’s effects on the brain and body have been touted to help support everything from thyroid function, to adrenal fatigue, energy levels, brain cell activity, and immune system virility, to name a few. And if you’re excited like I am about this herb, I’ve got fantastic news… It’s our latest Elite Life Nutrition product!
