Just two PLPs reflecting on a beautiful Thanksgiving

Meine Gesprächspartnerin: Tina Ittermann, Systemische Beraterin, Familientherapeutin und Fatigue-Coachin. Tina Ittermann war zum Zeitpunkt der Diagnose Brustkrebs Medienwissenschaftlerin und hatte ihr erstes Projekt als Regieassistentin abgeschlossen. Mit der ersten Chemo war auch gleich die Fatigue da und wollte nicht mehr von ihrer Seite weichen. Irgendwann dachte sie, ich bin im falschen Film. Inzwischen sind elf Jahre vergangen und die Fatigue ist immer noch da. „Ich muss die Fatigue immer fragen: Können wir das zusammen machen.“ Ist eine ihrer zahlreichen Erkenntnisse. Nach und nach wurde sie zur Expertin für ihr eigenes Leben und weiß jetzt, was ihr guttut. Heute gibt Tina ihr Wissen weiter. Sie hat sich als systemische Beraterin selbstständig gemacht, eine Selbsthilfegruppe gegründet und hält Vorträge. Worüber wir sprechen: Zu Beginn versuchen wir zu klären, was Fatigue überhaupt ist, ob sich aus der Long Covid Forschung etwas für die tumorbedingte Fatigue ableiten lässt. Was Belastungsintoleranz bedeutet und wie sich diese zeigt, erklärt sie sehr anschaulich. Ich sag es mal in meinen Worten: Sport oder Bewegung ist nicht immer die Lösung vor allem nicht, wenn eine Stunde Sport in der Woche bedeutet, dass du danach drei Tage lang völlig erschöpft bist und gar nichts mehr geht. Daher nervt sie der Satz „Mach doch mal Sport, dann wird es besser.“, reichlich. Welche Sprüche sonst noch kontraproduktiv sind und warum, erklärt sie uns auch.Die Unterscheidung von Depression und Fatigue ist ebenfalls ein Punkt, den wir uns näher anschauen. Dann natürlich die Symptomatik und vor allem die Methoden, die beim Umgang mit dieser Diagnose helfen, wie zum Beispiel das Energietagebuch und die „Drei Ps“: Priorisierung, Planung und Pacing. Sie hat außerdem noch Tipps für die Unterstützung im Haushalt mitgebracht und wie du diese beantragst, was auf einer Krankschreibung stehen sollte und darüber hinaus hat sie wichtige Botschaften für dich im Gepäck, die du dir besser im Originalton anhörst.
