In S5Ep5 of the PRP, Adam prattles with blossoming long distance runners, local food & agriculture champions, community cultivators and proud park-hopping pals Meg Goldwyn & Laura Matney, who have been preparing for the Glass City Half Marathon on Sunday April 27th, 2025. Tap in to learn how two remarkable human beings are leveraging their passion for fresh produce & funky vibes to build a healthier, more connected Ann Arbor. Meg—Argus Café Store Manager and certified dog mom of the decade is newer to the sport but fully aboard the endorphin express. Laura, General Manager at Argus Farm Stop and lifelong endurance adventurer with a flair for fungi, brings years of grit and community organizing insight to the convo. The squad unpacks how Argus Farm Stop's unique model supports local farmers, feeds neighbors, and keeps the lights on (literally) in a way that blends business, service, and sustainability into one delicious, community-enhancing mission. But it's not just about the veggies—it's about the vision. At the heart of it all is a guiding question: “How does what we do every day serve the local food economy?”Things get vulnerable when the duo deep dives on the power of shared knowledge—how pulling back the curtain on their systems, lessons, and even missteps can spark change across the local & national food landscape. Whether it's telling tales at a farm stop conference, spreading the gospel of pawpaws, or dropping hot tips on turning smoothies into waffles (yes, that's a thing), Meg & Laura live to connect dots and people alike. From park bagging all 162 green spaces in Ann Arbor to gap-trail biking and glacial terrain escapades, this lovely duo reminds us that movement and nourishment go hand in hand—and that the spiritual symbiosis of running, food, and community might just be the perfect fuel to keep us joyful, curious, and snack-happy as we traverse through this wild ride called life. What's in tarnation is an L3C? Laminated life mantras? Sommelier say whaaa?? WTF is a wild ramp?! Volun-told you so? In this episode Aaron shares a story about a family friend: In 1990, a young boy's world changed forever when his father suddenly disappeared, leaving his mother to hold the family together with double shifts and a simple morning ritual. Decades later, during a strained Thanksgiving reunion, the son discovers a small but profound reminder of those quiet mornings—a gesture that speaks louder than words ever could. This episode explores the power of routine and how even the smallest gestures can bridge the gap between past and present. Nichole Accettola is the chef/owner of Kantine, a Scandinavian-inspired cafe and bakery in San Francisco, and author of the 2023 baking book, “Scandinavian from Scratch.” She's long been inspired by Scandinavia, thanks to a summer exchange program in Denmark right after high school. After attending the Culinary Institute of America in New York and working in fine dining, Nichole relocated to Copenhagen, where she continued to fall in love with Danish culture and cuisine. Nichole talks with host Jessie Sheehan about working with laminated dough (they cover how to “lock in” butter and executing letterfolds), her trick for speedy dough proofing, and what decorticated cardamom is. “Laminated dough gets a bad rap, but with a little patience, you'll get it,” says Nichole. She and Jessie also discuss the recipe for Cardamom Morning Buns from her book. Click here to bake along with Nichole's recipe. Thank you to Plugrà Premium European Butter for supporting our show. In todays episode we review Laminated Denim by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
Laminated film is used in a wide range of flexible packaging applications such as food pharma, personal care products, etc. and then disposed off. The annual production of laminates in India is expected to be over 1 million MT with a market growth rate of 15-20%. These are used in your potato chip bags, candy wrappers and varied every packaging solutions. Waste generated from laminates has no productive value as it is expensive to recycle and thus ends up in landfills. Ricron Panels recovers this non-recyclable waste and uses its proprietary technology to convert this waste into forms of sheets that are used as a building material. It creates a product that is a substitute for plywood and in fact at some ways even better. It is waterproof, rust proof, termite resistant, fire - retardant, heat resistant and best of all it is recyclable. It creates a circular economy. In this episode, we learn about this solution from the co-founder Rahul Choudhary of Ricron Panels where he talks about the process and motivation to found this business.Join us on his journey, especially with our sustainable house underway.Be the first to know about our latest episode by subscribing www.mindfulbusinessespodcast.comhttps://www.ricron.com/

If you live in a flood-damaged area, you should consider hiring a professional to do a thorough flood cleanup. This is necessary because standing water may contain bacteria and other contaminants that are potentially harmful to your health. You should also be aware of the regulations and procedures in your city or state regarding the disposal of contaminated items. Professional cleanup will also prevent the growth of mold, which can pose a health risk. You should contact your local health department or the EPA for more information.Water removal is the most time-consuming part of flood cleanup. It involves pumping standing water out of the flooded area with industrial wet/dry vacuums. This will make the drying process go faster and prevent further mold growth. This process may require the hiring of specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals. If you decide to clean up your property yourself, make sure to hire professionals. Besides the structural damage caused by floodwater, mold can also form in stagnant water. Mold is very harmful to your health and can damage your internal organs. You should also avoid cleaning up the mold yourself, as it could endanger your health. Hiring a professional flood damage cleanup company will ensure the entire process is done safely. You should also hire a company specializing in flood cleanup to ensure the job is done safely and completely.Apart from causing property damage and human life, flooding can also affect the economy. Approximately 90% of natural disaster damages result from flooding and associated water flows. Floods kill two times more people than hurricanes or tornadoes combined. Water-related disasters account for 90% of all disasters in terms of people affected. Their economic and social costs have increased in the past few decades and are expected to rise further if not addressed properly.Flood Cleanup Process ExplainedBefore you begin cleaning up after a flood:Ensure all the room furniture has been moved to an unaffected area. If the furniture has been soaked, use a safe cleaning solution for wooden surfaces.Rinse it with a clean towel and set it aside to dry. You can also use bleach to wash down the walls to prevent mold growth.Use a stiff-bristled brush to scrub the walls. If you have cellulose insulation, blown-in paper, or foam insulation, you can hose them off and dispose of them. Fiberglass batts should be thrown away, as they are contaminated. Solid wood, if possible, may be salvaged. Laminated wood, however, may separate and weaken. In either case, it's important to start the cleanup process as soon as possible. Mold can start to grow just 24 hours after water damage, so make sure to work quickly. If your home was flooded and the area doesn't look too bad, you can do some of the cleanup yourself. If the flooding was minimal, you could try to get rid of standing water using a shop vac or bucket. But for major flooding, you should contact a professional restoration company. While you can clean water on your own, it's dangerous and time-consuming. In addition to water damage, you should wear protective clothing and disinfecting wipes.Contact us:Service Restoration 75 Monaco DrRoselle, IL 60172(773) 337-7530

Last year, several major zoological parks named a woman to their organization's top leadership position. In some cases, these appointments mark the first time a woman has ever held the role of director at their respective institutions. As part of our ongoing conversation about increasing diversity in zoos and aquariums, Dr. Brandie Smith, recently named director of the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, discusses what this trend means to her and to future conservation professionals.
