I Ain't Lookin' At You. @MikeLeDonne СЛУШАТЬ АЛЬБОМ - https://album.link/i/1713816727 PARTNERS IN TIME - https://t.me/discor/4322 IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT - https://t.me/discor/6098 BLUES ON TOP - https://t.me/discor/6511 THE HEAVY HITTERS - https://t.me/discor/6690 Лучший трек альбома в плей-листе JAZZ по-русски 7 на AppleMusic и Spotify Поставь лайк ❤️ и подпишись на канал JAZZ по-русски https://t.me/discor --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/konstantins/message

©️ Jazz Avenue 1 Records 2022 Mike Clark - drums Leon Lee Dorsey - bass Mike LeDonne - piano #bebop --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/konstantins/message

Mike Ledonne tells us about his new release, “It's All Your Fault” on Savant records, featuring the Groover Quartet and a big band. It's available on CD and all major streaming platforms. We talked to him about some of his earlier recordings, and how he came to concentrate on the Hammond organ and develop his own unique style on the instrument. He takes us track by track through the new album with insights into its title and inspiration, and finally gives us his thoughts on the importance and joy of swing. Enjoy the interview! This week we talk about Valentine's Day and when we get to open the kiss vault, go into the Space/Ocean debate (again) and what game show hosts we'd like to be. We also chat with Mike LeDonne of the band Chaser and listen to music from: God's Green Apples The Upfux Chaser Vault: Redacted Choir
Comprised of Mike LeDonne (singer), Jesse Stopnitzky (bassist/vocals), Bill Hockmuth (guitarist) and Davey Guy (drums), CHASER shares the same love for punk rock as the rest of us, hoping to make a difference. Jesse shares, “Growing up in the 90's, no sound has struck a chord for us like the Fat and Epitaph era punk bands. Although the scene continues to evolve, we stick to what we love most about this genre…catchy melodies, anthemic choruses, passionate lyrical content and as always, a beat that has you rushing for the pit.” New Single 2020 Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rMIXPJ4TNM http://chaserpunkrock.com/ https://www.instagram.com/chaserpunk/ https://www.facebook.com/chaserband This episode is proudly brought to you by: #Betterhelp : https://www.betterhelp.com/sipod for 10% off #CBD #Wildflowerhemp https://wildflowerhempco.com/ BUY MERCH!!!!! #Merch Store: https://www.dckproductions.com/shop Follow me: https://www.youtube.com/c/suckitpodcast https://www.instagram.com/suckitpodcast https://www.facebook.com/suckitpodcast https://www.twitter.com/suckit_podcast --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thedarksideofmusic/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thedarksideofmusic/support
Together with American Songwriter, we had the pleasure of interviewing CHASER!Established in 2000 in the heart of the SoCal punk scene, CHASER made a name for themselves playing fast and melodic skate punk. With energetic, infectious, and heartfelt performances, they always leave you wanting more.Comprised of Mike LeDonne (vocals), Jesse Stopnitzky (bass/vocals), Bill Hockmuth (guitar), and Davey Guy (drums), CHASER is your classic example of 4 close friends that share a deep love for this music and hope to make a difference with it.On September 4, 2020, CHASER released “Look Alive”, a 2-song 7” record in collaboration with Thousand Island Records, Sound Speed Records, SBAM Records, and Pee Records. Jesse from CHASER shares, “Our proceeds from the record will be donated to 4 carefully handpicked charitable organizations: Equal Justice Initiative, Educational First Steps, Crisis Aid International, and Surfrider Foundation. 2020 has been a year like no other. In the face of such unprecedented crises, one’s impact feels further minimized. However, if we have learned anything from these experiences, it is that we are all in this together and have a responsibility to do our part. At the minimum, manage what we can control.”CHASER also finished recording their 5th full-length album, “Come Alive!”, comprised of 13 catchy and energetic tracks with self-reflecting lyrics. Jesse mentions, “We’re at a unique moment in time where it feels like the powers of good vs. evil are at play more than ever before in modern society. The general population is quick to attack each other without mercy, compassion, or understanding, and the rest of us are grasping on any sort of hope for the future. ‘Come Alive!’ will undoubtedly have you rocking out and singing at the top of your lungs, while also challenging you to take a look inside and declare which side you’re on.”For the last two years, CHASER toured internationally, playing some of the biggest punk festivals in Europe and Canada. They quickly developed a reputation of a “can’t miss” live show and rightfully earned main stage festival time slots. In 2018, CHASER released, “Sound the Sirens”, on Effervescence Records. With over 500 vinyl LP’s and 1,000 CD’s sold, it was voted by fans as a top punk album of the year. For CHASER, it was a return to the basics of what started it all for them. Jesse shares, “Growing up in the 90s, no sound struck a chord for us like the Fat and Epitaph era punk bands. Although the scene continues to evolve, we stuck to what we love most about this genre...catchy melodies, anthemic choruses, passionate lyrics, and as always, a beat that has you rushing for the pit.”More at: chaserpunkrock.comWe want to hear from you! Tonight's Jazz Feature is all about some of the "keepers of the Jazz flame". These five talented gentlemen are some of the busiest and most active people on the New York Jazz scene. They are all internationally known and all of them are leaders on their individual instruments. They play in other bands but they all come together as they do on this disc and make some significant music. This album recorded just last year in June of 2016 is a fine example of the kind of playing that reflects the advances in Jazz but adheres to it's noble traditions such as swing, melody and an overall feeling of the blues. "That Feelin'" is the name of the album and the players are: organ master Mike LeDonne, tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander, alto saxophonist Vincent Herring, guitarist Peter Bernstein and the always swinging Joe Farnsworth on drums. Nine great tunes cover the spectrum of sound here and the tunes range from the challenging first cousin to Coltrane's "Giant Steps" in Donald Byrd's "Fly Little Bird Fly" to Ray Brown's "Gravy Blues" to Natalie Cole's "This Will Be Everlasting Love". Sit back and enjoy some real Jazz by some of the living and youthful great on today's scene.
Saxophonist Eric Alexander joins Lee on location at the Monterey Jazz Festival to sample cuts from his solo album “Second Impression,” from the One For All album “The Third Decade” and from Mike LeDonne & the Groover Quartet’s “That Feelin’.” Eric describes his long musical and personal relationship with Harold Mabern, talks about how he stays sane on the road, and explains the genesis for his own tenor saxophone model with Ishimori. This episode sponsored by Inner Sanctum Audio.
Mike LeDonne has never been one to hold his tongue, and today’s interview is no exception.
