No Shoes At Work Is The New TrendA trend of workers going barefoot in the office has spread across Silicon Valley startups, sparking a debate as to whether shoeless workplaces could drive creativity or create conflict. Cursor, an AI coding company valued at nearly $10billion, as one of several firms adopting shoeless policies.  Some commenters saw it as aspirational, one calling it a “bucket list” workplace. Others mocked the idea with sneezing emojis or worried about hygiene. We put up a poll, I clocked the "barf" emoji.Cozy Cardio Trend                                                                                                                        Imagine swapping sweaty gym vibes for fuzzy socks, candles, and your favorite show while strolling on a walking pad — that's cozy cardio, the revived TikTok-born fitness trend that blends light exercise with maximum comfort. Here's how to get started:                                                                                                                                Gather cozy basics like candles, soft lighting, and a favorite beverage                                                Choose a simple cardio option: stationary bike, treadmill, or elliptical                                       Set the mood with a movie, TV show, book, or music you enjoy                                                            Go at your own pace at a time of day that feels rightCorey's Neck UpdateI've been dealing with crazy pain since I tripped over my German Shepherd's dog hammock. It was dark and the hammock was put together with metal bars. My neck landed on the metal bar. I have been seeing a chiropractor, but the pain just got worse and worse. I had an MRI and it showed stenosis, However, that wasn't the culprit. The nerves were already somewhat arthritic, but the fall exacerbated the situation and my nerves are in the seventh circle of hell. This is where "ablation" comes in. It's basically burning the nerve endings...which could keep pain at bay for up to 16 months. They do grow back but that is better than all of the pain killers I am taking. Thank god I am not pregnant; I'm keeping Tylenol in business. #autismSecond Date UpdateAlex said he met Marissa online and their rooftop dinner felt magical. He booked a table with a view, ordered a bottle of champagne, and said their conversation flowed all night. He figured they were lining up a second date for sure. She ghosted, and he wanted to know why.

Some cryptos stand out for their dynamic movements and substantial possibilities. As markets evolve, certain tokens attract attention for their rapid fluctuations and appealing potential. Looking forward, specific projects may lead to significant gains, though accompanied by considerable volatility. This analysis explores which tokens might deliver the largest returns next year. Hyperliquid: The Gas-Free Speedster Aiming to Rewrite DeFi Hyperliquid runs on a fresh base chain built for fast moves. Its own voting system, called HyperBFT, locks trades in seconds while keeping them safe. Every order sits on the chain, so anyone can check the book at any time. Traders zip in and out of endless future swaps without paying gas. This makes the service feel like a top web app, yet it stays fully open and public. A team of sharp minds from Harvard, Caltech, and MIT guides the code, and they fund it themselves, keeping choices clear of outside pull. Many users now hunt for lower fees and faster trades; that trend lifts chains like Solana and Arbitrum. Hyperliquid goes further by cutting fees to zero and keeping the book on-chain, a combo few rivals match. If the bull run keeps warming, fresh volume could rush to places that feel smooth yet fair. Early signs show tight spreads and lively flow, hinting that the idea clicks with pro and casual players alike. While no one can promise price moves, a lean set-up, clear vision, and growing need for speed make the coin one to watch this cycle. XYZVerse Sets a New Trend, Could This be the Next 50X Meme Coin? The buzz around XYZVerse is real. As the first-ever all-sports meme token, it is going to break records in the meme coin space, targeting 50X growth upon launch. The current presale gives early investors the chance to grab $XYZ tokens at a significantly discounted price, far below the expected listing price. Bullish Mood on $XYZ XYZVerse is already featured on CoinMarketCap where the community has shown a strongly bullish mood on this coin, with 95% voters anticipating $XYZ to grow. XYZ was further noticed by reputable crypto influencers. DanjoCapitalMaster, who has close to 800,000 followers, recently expressed his support for the project, calling XYZVerse a "moonshot opportunity." More Than Just a Meme Coin Unlike most meme coins that ride trends without much substance, XYZVerse is setting a new trend. It is blending the high-energy world of sports with the viral nature of meme culture. And it's working. The presale is moving fast, with early buyers locking in tokens at a fraction of what some believe could be its future value. Right now, XYZVerse is still in its presale phase, but demand is high. The price has already climbed from $0.0001 in Stage 1 to $0.005 by Stage 13, with over $15 million already raised. Investors who got in early have secured a steep discount, and with a target listing price of $0.1, those numbers have people paying attention. Still Time to Get in Before the Presale Ends Beyond just hype, XYZVerse has a structured tokenomics model aimed at long-term sustainability. A share of 15% is allocated to liquidity to create a solid market foundation. To reward its community via airdrops and bonuses, the team has put aside 10% of the total supply. Moreover, a big chunk of 17.13% is designated for deflationary burns, which could reduce supply and drive demand for $XYZ over time. A Community-Driven Project With Big Plans One thing setting XYZVerse apart is how it engages its community. The team recently launched the Ambassador Program, giving users the chance to earn free tokens by supporting the project. And that's just the start - there are already talks with major sports celebrities to help boost visibility. The recent partnership with decentralized sportsbook bookmaker.XYZ underscores XYZVerse's commitment to expanding its utility. It's a big move that gives the community something to actually use. As part of the deal, $XYZ holders get a special bonus on their first bet -...

What happens when technology takes a step backward to move forward? This week's episode explores the strange territory where nostalgia, practicality, and innovation collide in unexpected ways.Microsoft is killing off the iconic Blue Screen of Death after four decades, replacing the familiar blue error screen with a simplified black version. While the company claims this will provide better troubleshooting information, we question whether changing such a recognizable symbol of Windows crashes makes sense. After all, when something isn't broken, why fix it?Meanwhile, a fascinating trend has emerged in Portland, Maine, where parents have created a "landline pod" — installing traditional home phones for their children instead of smartphones. What started with one parent's decision has grown to include 15-20 families who are witnessing remarkable improvements in their children's social skills and creative thinking. It's a powerful reminder that sometimes the most innovative solution is returning to simpler technologies. The show takes a deep dive into consumer protection as the FTC approves $126 million in refunds for nearly one million Fortnite players who fell victim to "dark pattern" purchases. Epic Games' deceptive design practices that tricked users into making unwanted purchases remind us that ethical considerations often lag behind technological capabilities. We couldn't help but laugh at the bizarre world of robot pets with the discovery of a $50 "attack dog" from Timu that shoots pellets and simulates urination. This strange creation somehow keeps users engaged for hours, proving there's a market for even the oddest technological innovations. Our whiskey tasting features Wild Turkey 101 8-year bourbon, which received enthusiastic approval from our hosts. With notes of vanilla, clove, and toffee, this $45 bourbon proves that sometimes traditional craftsmanship is worth celebrating.Join us for a journey through technology's strangest corners, where old becomes new again and the digital world continues to surprise us in the most unexpected ways. AI Fuels Infinite Workdays, Job Cuts at Amazon, and New Trends in IT Service Partnerships

AI is increasingly becoming a double-edged sword in the workplace, as highlighted by a recent Microsoft report. While artificial intelligence tools are intended to enhance productivity, they are inadvertently contributing to an "infinite workday," leading to heightened employee burnout. The report reveals alarming trends, such as 40% of workers checking emails by 6 a.m. and a 16% increase in meetings scheduled after 8 p.m. This shift indicates that work is encroaching on personal time, suggesting a need for companies to rethink their time management and workflow strategies to prioritize high-impact tasks over busy work.Amazon's CEO, Andy Jassy, has acknowledged that AI efficiency gains will result in job cuts within the company, reflecting a broader trend of AI adoption across various sectors. Gallup's research shows that AI usage among U.S. employees has nearly doubled, with significant increases among white-collar workers. However, despite the growing integration of AI, concerns about job displacement remain relatively unchanged, with only 15% of employees fearing automation will eliminate their jobs in the near future. The podcast also discusses the transformative impact of autonomous software agents on small to mid-sized businesses, as outlined in PAX 8's report. The findings indicate that a majority of mid-sized enterprises are already deploying AI, with a notable emphasis on the need for organizations to adapt to new operational standards. The report suggests that IT service providers must shift their focus from merely selling AI tools to becoming organizational strategists that help clients redesign workflows and manage time effectively. Finally, the episode touches on the evolving landscape of the technology channel, emphasizing the necessity for vendors and partners to adapt to emerging trends. The shift from product-based selling to outcome-based solutions is becoming essential for survival in a competitive market. As traditional marketing development funds decline, the call for performance-based partnerships is more pressing than ever, urging IT service providers to demonstrate their value and influence in driving client success.  Four things to know today  00:00 Microsoft Warns of ‘Infinite Workday' as AI Blurs Work-Life Boundaries06:19 OpenAI's Defense Deal and MCP Push Signal AI's Transition from Tool to Infrastructure08:58 MiniMax Launches One-Million-Token Open Model, Undercutting Cost of GPT-4 by Orders of Magnitude10:40 Techaisle: Channel Faces Structural Shakeup as Outcome-Based, Risk-Sharing Models Replace Old Playbook  This is the Business of Tech.     Supported by:  https://getnerdio.com/nerdio-manager-for-msp/ All our Sponsors: https://businessof.tech/sponsors/ Do you want the show on your podcast app or the written versions of the stories? Hey friend, If you love the charm of traditional farmhouse style but crave something a little more elevated and fresh, farmcore might be exactly what your home needs. In this episode, I'm introducing you to a trending home decor style that blends the coziness of cottagecore (remember episode 15?) with the classic appeal of farmhouse design—creating a richer, more layered aesthetic that's as timeless as it is on-trend. I'll walk you through: ✨ What farmcore is and how it differs from traditional farmhouse decor ✨ Why it's not just another rustic trend ✨ How to confidently incorporate farmcore into your own home—even if you're decorating on a budget Here's how to bring farmcore into your space: Wall Treatments – Think shiplap (yes, it's still in!), beadboard, and board and batten to add depth and visual interest. Layered Textures – Cozy it up with wallpaper, window treatments, throw pillows, blankets, and area rugs. Traditional Silhouettes – Choose quality furniture with classic lines like wingback chairs and rolled arms. Antique Pieces – Mix in vintage or antique furnishings for a curated, lived-in look. Rustic Elements – Raw woods, stoneware, and iron accents help ground the space. Natural Materials – Lean into wood, linen, cotton, and clay for an organic feel. Pattern Mixing – Don't be afraid to pair florals with plaids or stripes—step outside the design box! Moody Earth Tones – Create a rich foundation with colors inspired by nature—think deep greens, browns, and terracotta. Farmcore brings nostalgia and warmth with a modern, curated twist. You don't have to live in the country to love this style—and you definitely don't need a big budget. xo, dani   // Links mentioned in show: // Become a Design Bestie by joining the newsletter: https://bit.ly/designbestie Email: hello@figandfarmathome.com Website: https://figandfarmathome.com Join The Collective (monthly membership): https://www.figandfarmathome.com/thecollective Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/figandfarm/ FREE Facebook Community: https://www.bit.ly/design101group

Marcela Lagarde (1968 - present) is a Mexican anthropologist, author, politician and feminist scholar who is credited with coining the term “feminicidio,” first to denote mass killings of women in Juárez, which had begun in the early 1990s. The term was taken up by Latin American feminists, particularly in Mexico and Guatemala, as well as governments, to address the targeted violence towards and murder of women. Segment 2: • Are parents being ghosted by their kids due to the narcissism trend? • Terms like "cutting out toxic people" and "chosen family" are replacing biblical commands. • The Bible warns against abandoning your family—this culture of detachment is dangerous and unbiblical. Segment 3: • We've coddled people's feelings for too long, but this narcissism trend takes it too far. • The idea that you should "torture" or "hold onto your truth" against a narcissist is against biblical teaching. • True Christian love and engagement with others doesn't involve playing games—it involves walking alongside them in truth and grace. Segment 4: • Influencers encourage you to ignore or punish those who don't align with your truth. • This “narcissism” culture isn't biblical; we don't torture people or cast them aside. • Personal preferences aren't narcissism; kindness and understanding are key in relationships. ___ Preorder the new book, Lies My Therapist Told Me, by Fortis Institute Fellow Dr. Greg Gifford now! https://www.harpercollins.com/pages/liesmytherapisttoldme ___ Thanks for listening!
