The story so far: After stumbling down a mysterious dried-up well and tunneling through the stone walls to search for an escape, the boys have been trapped in a mysterious, underground, 80s-era-inspired VHS rental shop called Moleman's Movie Hole for months. Recently dying and coming back to life has left them with concerns. After drifting through space and heading for heaven, the boys are back to life in the Movie Hole, and are visited once again by their savior Moleman! Eric, now having died 3 times, is looking to stop that from happening again. Moleman brings him a gift and the foursome sit down to watch Godfrey Ho's martial arts classic(?) Ninja Terminator (1986)! They have a lot of questions about the logic and plot of the movie, but at least they figure out where to buy a vintage 1980s Tyco Garfield telephone! Ninjas ruled in the 1980's! James Eldred from the Cinema Oblivia podcast joins us this week to discuss two underground ninjaspoloitation classics: Miami Connection (1987), directed by YK Kim and Richard Park, and Ninja Terminator (1985), directed by Godfrey Ho. As well as marvelling in the bizarre delights of these insane films, we discuss the place of ninjas in the popular imaginations of Eastern and Western audiences, and also get an impromptu tour through the recesses of James' arcane knowledge of obscure prog rock and Japanese techno. Oh my God!!! We will be announcing a Spoiler Territory section for both films, so if you haven't seen them before you listen, you can nevertheless avoid spoilers for Miami Connection by skipping ahead to the 1:06:52 mark, and for Ninja Terminator by skipping ahead to 1:50:38. Welcome back to Not A Bomb! This is the podcast where we dive into some of cinema's biggest box office failures and explore whether they deserve a second chance! Listener Request Month takes a little pause as the guys gather in the same room to record a special episode with Jose and Alex from Watch Skip Plus. To celebrate this momentous occasion, there was only one film that could do it justice: The Substance. Equal parts Cronenberg and Showgirls, The Substance stands apart from anything previously covered on the podcast—and with its current box office flop, it's officially podcast-worthy. The hosts also dive into their favorite finds from Baltimore Comic-Con and share thoughts on the movies they've been watching lately. So, grab a seat, relax, and tune in for conversations about fame, body image, chewing sounds, and the ever-debated pronunciation of Demi Moore's name. Plus, everyone experiences a weirdly flavored drink for the plus! The Substance is directed by Coralie Fargeat and stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid. Our first ever Turkey Month kicks off the only way it possibly could: with a z-grade ninjasploitation movie Frankensteined together out of two different movies. We are of course talking about the "great" Godfrey Ho's Ninja Terminator! CHAPTERS: (00:00:00) - The Nextlander Watchcast Episode 67: Ninja Terminator (1986) (00:01:16) - Intro. (00:03:59) - Dealing with any pertinent questions up top, and discussion of the '80s ninja boom. (00:08:15) - A brief history of Godfrey Ho, a scam king. (00:16:38) - Poor Richard Harrison. (00:18:34) - Talking about the various ways to watch this movie (and how they're all broken in different ways). (00:20:09) - The rampant use of stolen music. (00:22:30) - Alex tries to John Moschitta his way through a LOT of ninja movie titles. (00:25:50) - The set-up for the movie (such as it is). (00:30:56) - We've established our ninja movie, now let's introduce a completely different movie. (00:33:29) - Break! (00:33:46) - We're back, and we're trying to figure out who is being mourned here. (00:37:23) - Who is working for who and who the hell is sending robots. (00:42:42) - We may have broken Brad. (00:47:46) - Trying to pick apart how exactly Jaguar escapes. (00:52:03) - Some of these fights aren't bad. They aren't the ones they shot for this actual movie. (00:55:08) - Bopping around various memorable moments. (01:04:32) - Brad is very disappointed in the filmmakers. And trying to figure out what Jaguar's movie was originally about. (01:11:27) - Here's your ninja slop, pigs. (01:17:53) - Final thoughts. (01:23:03) - Outro.
"Der tödliche Panther" a.k.a. "Deadly China Dolls". Ho oder No, könnte man also sagen. In this episode we delve into more Godfrey Ho with Mitch Lovell of the Video Vacuum. We look at two of his movies, "Ninja Terminator" and "Robo Vampire", and talk about not only the process of combining movies, but also how he took something like how he heard Americans were into Garfield, and turned that into Richard Harrison talking on a Garfield phone. In the first episode of Season 3, the guys review Christmas Evil, a wretched mess of a story about an idiot that falls into self delusion so much he starts killing people. (Same as that god-awful Joker movie that came out last year) Featuring the worst ending of any movie ever. Yes, worse than Ninja Terminator.
Ninja Terminator is not so much a movie as a series of incoherent and unrelated sequences, most of which are pretty generic fight scenes. For a move called Ninja Terminator, it’s pretty short on ninjas and cybernetic killing machines from the future.

We watched the incoherent 'Ninja Terminator'! We cover all the important topics in this martial arts epic. Robots, tiny ninja steps, and curious choices in telephones are only the tip of the iceberg with this contender for 'Woist of da Woist'. Chase & Blake go head to head in the Quiz. Will Blake take the lead or will Chase even the score?
Godfrey Ho - Who is he? What is he? How can one man steal so much footage to make his own movies and never be condemned? Why is he so revered? All this will be answered by Jeff & Aaron, as Nazli was busy lawyering the hell out of something! We are joined by Special Guest & Godfrey Ho extraordinaire Casey Nielson. The gang dissects one of his films, "Ninja Terminator", which splices two completely unrelated films together, utterly confusing the audience. But don't worry there's a ninja with eyeliner throwing knives at crabs, because that's a thing! Enjoy this Kung Fu Grip episode of Bad Movie Nite!
Another episode? So soon? Well, Lain insisted upon getting us directly back onto our usual schedule so we're going straight into (well, as much as we generally are capable of being) discussing the Godfrey Ho B-movie mistake that is 'Ninja Terminator', and Joss Whedon's short musical web series 'Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. We also get sidetracked occasionally, so that's something to look forward to.Show notes: - While there's a sort of direct sequel called 'Golden Ninja Warrior', there's also another movie starring Richard Harrison, still wearing that damned camouflage ninja suit, called 'Ninja Dragon' which I now suddenly have to watch.- The Writers Guild of America strike still took place between 2007 and 2008. That information has not changed since the previous shownotes.- IMAGINAAAAAAASHUNNNN!Our theme music is by Abru aka colonthree, used with permission: https://soundcloud.com/colonthree

Hot Dog #42- This week, as requested by Ethan, Frank-cis and Reverend Zach watched 1985’s “Ninja Terminator”. This film had us asking such questions as; how many movies were spliced together to create this semi-movie? Why is there a guy in a white suit wearing a blond female wig? Why did they dub the chinese pawn shop owner to have an American southern accent? How many red ninjas are there? Is the red ninja the one who is in charge of the ninja empire? What is the ninja empire? Why do the bad guys send tiny toy robots to deliver a message that they also deliver with a phone call? Why do the white guys wear eye liner when they are ninjas? Is there magic in this movie or is it just bad editing? Who the hell is Lilly? And other questions! Join us for this Hot Dog! Edited by- Zach, Music Composed by Nick April.

This week, Gill & Roscoe are joined by friend of the show and renowned sexologist/film critic Jonathon Jonathon Junior to discuss some lost classics of the VHS era, including "The Eliminators" (1986), "Project Shadowchaser" (1992) and "Ninja Terminator"(1985). We also finally discuss the obscure high-brow critique of privatisation and ghettoization that is "Robocop" (1987), and wax nonsensical about how utterly awesome Astron-6's "Manborg" (2011) and "Biocop" (2012) actually are. Chaos naturally ensues, as Jonathon tells us a pack of lies, we give props to 1990s sitcom "Blossom" and some names are most definitely dropped. All characters (and presenters) appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. http://searchforschlock.com/media/podcasts/sfs-030-NinjaTerminator.mp3 Download MP3 White guy ninja Richard Harrison wants to assemble the three pieces of the Golden Ninja Statue that grants its wielder invincibility, so that he can fight the Evil Ninja Empire. To that end, he makes frequent phone calls to Jaguar Wong, a Chinese man in a completely different, much more competently-made kung fu movie. Such is the genius cost-saving style of Z-movie auteur Godfrey Ho, whose modus operandi was to cut redubbed bits and pieces from a bunch of movies, add some of his own inept footage, and call it a terrible, terrible day. Ho even cut up and reused a bunch of his own work, turning what was supposed to be a few Richard Harrison films into a dozen, and effectively killing that actor's career. Godfrey Ho is an essential part of any schlock cinema education, and we certainly feel like we've learned our lesson.Original post located at searchforschlock.com.
