VOV1 - Cơ quan địa vật lý quốc gia Indonesia (BMKG) cho biết, một trận động đất mạnh 6,7 độ xảy ra tại đảo Sulawesi sáng nay. Trong khi đó hơn 6.000 dư chấn xảy ra sau trận động đất mạnh 7,8 độ tại Philippines) hôm 08/06 vừa qua, khiến hơn một trăm người thiệt mạng và mất tích cũng như thay đổi địa hình ven biển, nâng đáy biển lên tới 2m.Theo Cơ quan địa vật lý quốc gia Indonesia Tâm chấn của trận động đất nằm cách Palu khoảng 42 km về phía đông nam, ở độ sâu 10 km, làm dấy lên lo ngại về thiệt hại và dư chấn trong khu vực. Theo một số thông tin đã có 3 dư chấn mạnh xảy ra sau động đất, nhưng chưa có thiệt hại lớn nào được báo cáo.Trong khi đó, Viện Núi lửa và Địa chấn Philippines (PHIVOLCS), cho biết hơn 6.000 dư chấn đã được ghi nhận kể từ trận động đất mạnh 7,8 độ ở Mindanao vào ngày 8 tháng 6. Trong số đó, 78 dư chấn được người dân cảm nhận, với cường độ từ 1,2 đến 6,4. Dư chấn mạnh nhất có cường độ 6,4, xảy ra vài giờ sau trận động đất chính vào ngày 8 tháng 6.Theo báo cáo mới nhất của chính phủ, trận động đất mạnh đã ảnh hưởng đến hơn 176.000 gia đình và khiến ít nhất 65 người thiệt mạng. Trận động đất cũng gây ra hiện tượng nâng cao địa hình ven biển ở một số khu vực. Tại Glan, Sarangani, hiện tượng đáy biển đột ngột dâng cao được cho là đã dẫn đến cái chết của nhiều sinh vật biển. Theo các chuyên gia, về cơ bản hiện tượng nâng cao địa hình thường xảy ra trong trận động đất chính. Các dư chấn và điều chỉnh nhỏ về địa hình có thể tiếp tục khi vỏ Trái đất ổn định lại sau trận động đất. Gempa bumi mengguncang wilayah Palu Palu dan sekitarnya, menyebabkan kepanikan di kalangan warga.Guncangan terasa kuat hingga membuat masyarakat berhamburan keluar rumah dan gedung untuk mencari tempat aman. Hingga kini, belum ada laporan resmi mengenai tingkat kerusakan maupun korban akibat peristiwa tersebut.Wilayah Sulawesi Tengah memang berada di zona rawan gempa karena aktivitas tektonik di kawasan tersebut. Warga diimbau tetap waspada terhadap kemungkinan gempa susulan dan mengikuti arahan dari pihak berwenang.

BMKG merilis hasil pemantauan pascagempa magnitudo 6,7 yang mengguncang Sulawesi Tengah. Sejumlah fasilitas publik di wilayah Sigi, Parigi Moutong, dan Kota Palu mengalami kerusakan non-struktural kategori sedang, seperti plafon runtuh dan dinding retak. BMKG juga memastikan hingga saat ini belum ada laporan korban jiwa serta menilai potensi likuefaksi signifikan sangat minim karena energi gempa jauh lebih kecil dibanding peristiwa gempa Palu tahun 2018.

April 24th marks the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. I grew up in the 1950s in New York in the shadow of that tragedy. I was surrounded by survivors named Garabedian, Giragosian, Hagopian and others who always spoke fondly of “yergeer,” the country they were forced to abandon. My mother, Araxie, was from Dubneh, a village near Diyarbakir, and my father, Bedros, was from Nbishi, a village near Palu in what is now Eastern Turkey. Their memories, and those of others from the “old” country, filled my ears as did their tales of how they escaped death and got to America. I'd listened to their stories in Armenian, not understanding everything, but knowing for them, “yergeer” was a special place. It was home. Cet après-midi, je suis à Saintes, en Charente-Maritime, entre Angoulême et la Rochelle. Plus précisément sur le grand site naturel de la Palu, classé en zone Natura 2000, une zone humide de 125 hectares de zone humide, avec plusieurs espaces. Une partie aménagée au public, une grande prairie au bord du fleuve Charente, ainsi qu'une zone sanctuaire, interdite d'accès au public. C'est notamment pour elle que je suis là aujourd'hui.En fait, ce qui m'a fait venir ici, c'est que la Palu est l'un des lauréats de l'édition 2023/2024 de l'appel à projets du fond MAIF pour le vivant - Nature 2050, qui finance en partenariat avec le Fonds Nature 2050 des actions en faveur de la biodiversité et de l'adaptation des territoires au changement climatique. Le paludisme fait peser sur le continent africain un fardeau disproportionné, avec près de 94 % des cas et 95 % des décès et 70 % de la charge mondiale du paludisme pèse sur 11 pays africains : le Burkina Faso, le Cameroun, le Ghana, le Mali, le Mozambique, le Niger, le Nigéria, l'Ouganda, la République démocratique du Congo, le Soudan et la Tanzanie. En termes de financement de la lutte contre cette infection transmise par les moustiques, la moitié des sommes nécessaires manque à l'appel.En revanche, le Cap-Vert est devenu cette année, le premier pays d'Afrique subsaharienne à être déclaré exempt de paludisme, depuis 50 ans. Où en sont les campagnes de vaccination contre le paludisme ? Le Racing est le deuxième club au classement des JIFF utilisés en Top 14 et ils prouvent tous les 2 que la formation se porte bien pour la "Racing Family" et qu'il est possible de performer sur la durée en mêlant constellation de stars et jeunes issus de la formation !Les ciel et blanc l'ont démontré ce weekend et il faudra compter sur eux jusqu'au bout du suspense en top T4, en espérant, pour le supporteur rose que je suis, un faux pas en coupe d'Europe... même si mes espoirs ressemblent plus a une utopie. A wild crocodile with a motorcycle tire stuck around its neck for six years has finally been freed by an Indonesian bird catcher in a tireless effort that wildlife conservation officials hailed as a milestone Feb. 9. The 4.5-meter saltwater female crocodile has become an icon to the people in Palu, the capital city of Central Sulawesi. The beast was seen on the city's river with the tire around its neck getting tighter, running the risk of choking her. Conservation officials have been racing to rescue the crocodile since residents spotted the reptile in 2016. In early January, 35-year-old bird catcher and trader Tili, who recently moved to the city, heard about the famous crocodile from his neighbors and determined to rescue the reptile after he saw her frequently sunbathing at a nearby estuary. He strung ropes of various sizes into a trap tied to a tree near the river, and laid chickens, ducks and birds as bait. After three weeks of waiting and several failed attempts, the crocodile finally fell into the trap Feb. 7. With the help of his friends, Tili pulled the crocodile ashore and sawed through the tire.
