Growing up in the Assemblies of God, the second-largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States with approximately three million members, Paul Jensen witnessed firsthand the controversial culture and beliefs that define this religious movement. Founded in 1914 and initially considered a fringe group by mainstream Protestant denominations, the Assemblies of God gradually gained acceptance. However, as Paul discovered, this movement's high-demand and questionable history are often concealed from public scrutiny. He shared his journey of discovery after growing up in the Assemblies of God, the world's largest denomination of the Pentecostal and Charismatic “Spirit Led” movement. He reveals the little-known authoritarian cult roots of the Assemblies of God and how the church has created an official narrative that conceals its true history. Unfortunately, the protections of law that prohibit religious groups from engaging in supporting political campaigns has been sidestepped in the USA, so understanding the fraud used to control members and their beliefs that they “hear from God” has caused intense polarization with all who do not subscribe to their “certainty” of commitment. Episode 96 of Inside the SCCA was the first installment of my Racers Roundtable. I've always said that I should be the sole arbiter of what's interesting so tonight I invited Gabe Fehribach, Paul Jensen, and Trevor Hermance on the show to talk about whatever they wanted to talk about. I didn't know what their topics were until after we started the show. Our three topics... the Super Tour races at VIR and some of the problems keeping the racing green; making the SCCA more attractive to younger racers and enthusiasts; and flagging at LeMans and other professional events. A big thanks to all three for a great conversation. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/racingwire/support

This week the Moonlight Graham Show takes a dip, and we aren't talking about the Thanksgiving appetizers. What better time for our first episode about swimming than just as the first rounds of snow hit the ground? Tim sits down with Paul Jensen and Don Appleby of the 1985 Minnesota state swimming champions from Burnsville High School. This team was a true underdog story. Minnesota might be the land of 10,000 lakes, but most think of fishing, recreational swimming, and frozen lakes for ice hockey more than racing lanes. “Swim or die” is a Minnesota mantra because of how much time is spent around water. Every little kid needs to learn to swim just for safety. But Paul Jensen and Don Appleby went from being swimmers to champions in the mid-1980s and credit their teammates and their legendary coach for making that jump. In 1984, the Burnsville swim team set the goal of qualifying for the state meet. The qualifying times were very fast, so making it to state was an achievement in itself. That 1984 Burnsville team finished 22nd in the state and was very accomplished. That changed the expectations for the 1985 season, though. Paul and Don were part of that 1984 squad and entered the 1985 season as a senior and junior, respectively. Coach Dennis Dale had been an all-Big Ten and All-American swimmer at the University of Minnesota in the 1960s. After his time at Burnsville, Dale won Big Ten titles as the head coach at the University of Minnesota in the 1990s and 2000s. Paul and Don consider Dale one of the best leaders they have ever seen in any field. His coaching philosophy, expectations in the weight room, and the way he ran a practice were what helped to set their team apart. This episode tells the glory-days story of how the Burnsville underdogs went from 22nd in the state to the top of the podium. The lifelong relationships, life lessons, and memories of that season shaped these teenage guys and helped them lead successful careers in the Navy and their professional careers. There is nothing like a good high school story to kick off Thanksgiving weekend.

Technology Alone Won't Integrate Your Supply Chain with Paul Jensen Joe Lynch and Paul Jensen discuss why technology alone won’t integrate your supply chain. Technology is critically important to a connected supply chain, however, there are limitations to what technology can do. To have a truly integrated supply chain companies need to have a supply chain partner that will couple the technology with the people and physical assets (trucks, terminals, warehouses, etc..) required to be effective and efficient. About Paul Jensen Paul Jensen is a graduate of Iowa State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Navy as a submarine officer and nuclear engineer. Jensen retired from the United States Navy Reserves in 2010 as a Commander (O5). While serving in the Reserves, Jensen began his corporate career in 1999 with Jacobson Companies, where he eventually served as executive vice president. From 2011-2016, he worked for DuPont Pioneer as senior manager of logistics and contracting. Paul joined the Ruan team in 2016 as vice president of logistics, leading our fastest growing service segment and a team of more than 100 employees in managed transportation and brokerage. He now leads the Supply Chain Solutions Division, which additionally includes value-added warehousing operations and dedicated contract transportation. Paul lives in Des Moines, IA with his wife Karla. They have two grown children who also live in the Des Moines metro area. About Ruan Founded in 1932, Ruan is a family-owned transportation company providing Dedicated Contract Transportation, Managed Transportation, Value-added Warehousing, and Brokerage Support Services. With 90 years of transportation and logistics experience, Ruan is one of the top 10 privately owned transportation service companies in the country. The company operates from 300 locations nationwide and employs over 5,500 team members. Key Takeaways: Technology Alone Won't Integrate Your Supply Chain In the podcast interview, Paul explains that while technology is a critically important element of the supply chain, the technology must be coupled with people and assets (trucks, terminals, warehouses, etc..) to have a fully integrated supply chain. To ensure that the plan-source-make-deliver process works, companies need a partner who can execute the logistics from beginning to end (order to cash). Many supply chains have unrecognized risks because their logistics function is disconnected with different parties owning the trucks, warehouses, technology platforms, etc. that manage their logistics. Ruan has the technology, people, warehousing, and trucks that enable them to be a true supply chain partner to their customers. Ruan’s suite of services includes Dedicated Contract Transportation, Managed Transportation, Value-added Warehousing, and Brokerage Services. In this episode of GoGreenfields, River and Terran interview a mentor, Chef Paul Jensen, owner of the Dotted Lime in Columbia, Tennessee. They also work to prepare a recipe sent to them by Chef Paul. You can try making these biscuits at home as well. Check out the recipe below. The Dotted Lime is relatively new to the Tennessee restaurant landscape, but it is founded on 25 years of professional culinary experience. Chef Paul and his wife, Chrissy were well prepared for running their own kitchen. Not only had he worked in many well-respected restaurants previously, he also feeds a small army every night - 13 children! His wife's resume is equally impressive and she lends a great deal of knowledge, based on 18 years of experience in nutrition. She worked with the medical community to craft diet plans for individuals suffering from severe food sensitivities or illness. Now, the family-run operation is taking Columbia, Tennessee by storm with deliciously prepared meals offered in-house, as take-out, or served at catered events. Want to try some of the fantastic food for yourself? Visit The Dotted Lime online ordering and use code GOGREENFIELDS10! Dotted Lime Biscuits Ingredients 1 tablespoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup butter, cold ¾ cup milk Directions Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. In a large mixing bowl sift together flour, baking powder and salt. with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make sure you do it fast so the butter doesn't heat up and the biscuits stay flaky. Pour milk into flour mixture while stirring with a fork. Mix in milk until the dough is soft, moist and pulls away from the side of the bowl. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and toss with flour until no longer sticky. Roll dough out into a 1/2 inch thick sheet and cut with a floured biscuit or cookie cutter. Press together unused dough and repeat the rolling and cutting procedure. Place biscuits on baking sheets and bake in a preheated oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes depending on your oven. In this special episode of It’s Your Dime, Mike Maharrey switches roles and becomes the interviewee. Mike recently appeared on Inside the News with Paul Jensen and Suzanne Sherman on K-TALK AM1640 in Utah to talk about the popping of the auto bubble and more generally how the Federal Reserve has set us up for the next big crash. Mike, Paul and Suzanne talk about the recent layoffs announced by GM. Mike explains how this is yet another sign that the Fed-induced bubbles are starting to pop, and how Federal Reserve monetary policy pumped up the bubbles in the first place. He also discusses President Trump’s strategic error in taking credit for the “booming economy.” Mke, Paul and Suzanne also touch on the issue of rights. Mike emphasizes that despite the name, the Bill of Rights does not actually give anybody any rights. It restricts government from infringing on rights we already have. SchiffGold’s It’s Your Dime hosted by Mike Maharrey features “straight talk” interviews with movers and shakers in the world of precious metals, investing and economics.
