INTRO         Elizabeth Payce and her business ‘Payce Your Change' focuses on supporting women in ther 40s and 50s to have the space and permission to face issues head on and to move forward with authenticity.    CONTENT Elizabeth began by talking about how women often get to a certain age where they feel invisible. They have beencaring for everyone else, their partner,their children, grandchildren, other  r relatives, giving them drive and purpose. But then they are no longer needed, leaving ahuge void in their lives. Others in their lives stop seeing them as a person, instead the label they have worn. We spend a lot of time being told it's all about affirmations. You'll get everything you want if you just affirm it. I'm going to challenge that. I wanna introduce a concept called Interrogative Self-Talk - getting a conversation with ourselves going. It's super cool. Here's why: Our brain is wired to believe. So, how do we get to the place where we can believe in order to achieve? We gotta actually challenge ourselves. Kenia Calderon is an activist and recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) living in Des Moines, Iowa. Drake University student Genesis Buckhalton profiles Calderon for this episode of PAYCE stories. Based on his interview with Peter and PAYCE colleague Rana Rishawi, PAYCE Fellow Justen Norcott (University of New Hampshire) shares Peter’s political upbringing and why Peter is committed to non-partisan research.
