In AD 180, Charismatic ministry was very different than today. By God's grace, we need to somehow recover what was lost.Irenaeus (AD 180) - “Those who are in truth His disciples, receiving grace from Him, do in His name perform miracles, so as to promote the welfare of others, according to the gift which each one has received from Him. For some do certainly and truly drive out devils, so that those who have thus been cleansed from evil spirits frequently both believe [in Christ] and join the Church. Others have foreknowledge of things to come: they see visions and speak the prophecies they have received. Others still, heal the sick by laying their hands upon them, and they are healed. Moreover, as I have said, even the dead have been raised and remained among us for many years. And what more can I even say? It is not even possible to number all of the gifts which the Church, throughout the whole world, has received from God, in the name of Jesus Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and which Christians demonstrate daily for the benefit of the unbelievers, neither deceiving them nor taking any financial reward from them [on account of such miraculous ministry]. For as Christians have received freely from God, freely also do they minister [to others]” Matt. 10:8 (Against Heresies, Book 2, Chapter 32, Section 4)

Joining us for CHNR Beyond #29. As heard from the live broadcast from Houswerx. Send the decks to Northern California with Uncanney B2B Jawb. BIO: Uncanney Bio Northern California producer of 8 years and DJ of 14, Uncanney is a DNB loving, jungle enthusiast with roots in house, garage & breaks. With his distinctive multi-genre blend, he is an all-star switch hitter sliding into home no matter the time slot or the tempo. Employing a truly authentic aim to relate to his audience and that of a future era through all styles of music, as well as exhibiting an unwavering dedication to the turntablism craft. It has given him the versatility and skill sets needed to play alongside names such as Pendulum, High Contrast, Netsky, Jack Beats, AC Slater, Liquid Stranger, Caspa and more! He has been showcased throughout California at various festivals, from Outside Lands and Bottlerock, to Stilldream and Pure Vision, all while still retaining the legacy that is considered genuine local sound. He is signed to San Francisco labels like 9G and Blue Orb, as well as working with Bay Area crews such as Tech Support Recordings, Runtime DNB, HUSHconcerts, Reprezent Clothing and Higher Conscience; resulting in consistently and creatively upholding what is intrinsic to what we have come to know as West Coast Electronic Underground music. Jawb Bio “justanotherwannabe” aka “jawb” is not the next big thing. Truthfully, he's a rather small individual with a big passion for huge sound systems. Growing up, 90s techno/trance/house took a firm hold on him. Lump that in with top40 radio, alternative, punk, rap, metal, reggae, blues, and anything else he could shove in his ears...you end up with a lifetime of chasing the music dragon. From house parties, to club spaces, renegades and warehouse undergrounds...JAWB has been there. He loves it. If he isn't in the booth with his USB he is in one of three places....inside a subwoofer, standing in the back soaking it all in, or in the bathroom doing any number of questionable things. When asked to describe his music/sets: “I used to be really specific with single genre sets and planning them out track by track, down to how I was going to transition between each one. These days, after years of playing out to different crowds in different settings, I tend to pick a handful that I know I want to play in a set, usually different genres, and I challenge myself to piece them together for the dance floor in a way that doesn't just tell a story, but actually takes you to a place that shouldn't exist. That's how I like to imagine the space anyway. I don't really follow specific labels or genres anymore, I generally follow the sounds that speak to me. Basically if it gives me that euphoria feeling, I'll likely play it out at some point in time.” Follow JAWB Soundcloud: @jawb Instagram: @jawbthestray

Title: Episode 65:Joining forces from forest to ocean - Tropical timber in the Yachting Industry Author(s): Worm, Loa Dalgaard Description: In this episode we focus on how we through collaboration and innovation can improve the way entire industries source. More specifically we are going to look at how we through joint effort are trying to make the sourcing in the yachting industry more sustainable. Timber has been used on the oceans for hundreds of years. But there is a challenge: The species used most often are technically superior but comes with a high social and ecological price. We must find new sustainable solutions. This will require innovation, collaboration, and new partnerships. In the episode I am joined by Olaf van Tunen from Van Stijn Rijnwoude, Friso Kuperus from Pure Vision, Tijmen Hennekes from FSC Netherlands and Gao Ya from FSC International. The episode was sponsored by Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (https://www.fpa2.org)
How does it feel to be doing something you love for a living? Sounds like fun, right? It must feel terrific to love what you do. Let's hear from someone who wakes up excited to create something truly amazing every day. Tavis Highlander is an automotive designer, illustrator, and artist who also plays in the garage making random stuff. His specialty is custom car rendering. While in college, Tavis completed his first professional work with Pure Vision owner Steve Strope. They worked together on several custom cars and began a friendship that introduced Tavis to the automotive industry. Soon after, he designed valve covers for Mopar, built a HEMI-powered Willys Wagon, and worked with Hot Rod magazine. The snowball was rolling, and it just kept getting bigger. Tavis started HCR (Highlander Concept Rendering) because he has always loved drawing, designing, and making things. After years of hard work, he now gets to do all that stuff for a living, which is a dream come true for this awesome guy. Join Mal and Tavis as they discuss how the design process works and what it feels like to turn design inspiration into reality.“I don't have real numbers or anything, an award or something like that. Just going forward, it's finetuning all the balance, you know. Push forward, expand, but continue to finetune everything to the point where it's manageable.”– Tavis HighlanderIn This Episode:What services does HCR do?Where did Tavis get his inclination for art?A brief background on Tavis and how he got into the automotive design industryHow does it feel to be entrusted with making someone's dream a reality?Tavis shares his design processOther than Tavis, who else is good at executing concepts into reality? How does Tavis adapt to the style of other builders and interior shops?Talented interior builders to watch out forWhen does color come into play? What is needed to begin rendering designs?Tavis talks about his go-to tools of the trade and his favorite podcastsFun facts about Tavis and his familyWhat other goals does Tavis have? You don't need a big shop to build award-winning cars. Strope credits his talented, hardworking and loyal team that has helped him continue to win accolade after accolade, including the prestigious manufacturer's design awards at SEMA.In this episode, Steve Strope talks about how he approaches builds, his favorite car—Martini Mustang, his current “anti-SEMA” Chevelle, and what's ahead. Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
We continue discovering how we can maintain a heart that doesn't drift into lukewarmness as we travel through the Beatitudes. Today we look at Matt. 5:8 where Jesus proclaims that blessed are those who are pure in heart for they shall see God. James tells us that this is pure and undefiled religion, that we remain unstained by the world. The world produces complacency when allowed to defile the gospel message and the faith we are called to walk in. Out of our hearts come the foundations and essence of everything we are and live by. Join with us as we go through God's word and discover what it means to have a pure heart.

The sixteenth-century reformer John Calvin is not generally know for his enthusiasm for the visual arts. Yet he widely praised the arts in general as good gifts of God's creation for the common good and enjoyment of all. In this 500th anniversary year of the Reformation, this lecture takes a closer look at Calvin's comments on the arts in his Institutes of the Christian Religion and considers what may still be of value. A lecture given by Adrienne Chaplin (Independent Scholar and Visiting Research Fellow, King's College London) at English L'Abri on 6 October, 2017. At the top of the hour, Lawrence and Angelina Perri Birney discuss PURE VISION & the Sacred Feminine, The Magdalene Revelation - but this is not your typical Mary Magdalene show. Tonight the overarching theme of both shows can be encapsulated in the Show Topic: What the Divine Feminine Wants You to Know. Specifically, Lawrence and Angelina will offer their perspective of the theme as we discuss: Where are women in the peace process? Women's movements affecting the paradigm shift, the perverted masculine archetype, connecting subjugation and violence against women to global violence, and more on how the Sacred Feminine is actually a very political deity, archetype and ideal because to embrace Her ideals means dissolving patriarchy, predator capitalism, oppression and exploitation of the 99%. This is a theme being heard round the world. In the second half of the show, channel, healer, facilitator of self-actualization sessions and workshops and award winning artist, Roslyn McGrath, will share vital information for women today from the Ancient Energies of Aphrodite, Persephone and the mother of Mary Magdalene. Areas of discussion will include learning to love the physical as is, the necessity of sensuality and sexuality to wholeness/holiness, necessity of the sumbolic world to integration/wholeness, sustaining oneself through difficult times, secrets of key women in the dawn of Christianity and the true mission of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
