It's the day before the presidential election, and a lot of people have already voted – or at least made up their minds. But there are still undecided voters in key swing states who may or may not turn out. Last week, “Post Reports” producers interviewed some of these voters – whom we're calling “The Deciders” – a key voting bloc that The Washington Post has been following all year. We're bringing you their thoughts today.Host Martine Powers also speaks with Scott Clement, polling director for The Post, about what these voters mean for former president Donald Trump's or Vice President Kamala Harris's path to victory.Starting in the spring, The Post reached out to a contact list of voters who were not committed to either candidate, or who had a history of voting infrequently, and therefore might sit out the 2024 presidential election. All live in one of the seven battleground states largely expected to determine the election: Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Nevada. Clement describes how The Post has surveyed this group over time to gain insight into what motivates them and which way they are swinging this November.Today's show was produced by Laura Benshoff with help from Peter Bresnan. It was edited by Maggie Penman and mixed by Sam Bair. Thanks also to Emily Guskin.Subscribe to The Washington Post here.

In this week's episode, host Kristin Hayes talks with Micah Ziegler, an assistant professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, about the science, policy, and economics behind electric vehicle (EV) batteries. This episode continues a multipart series on EVs, which covers some of the most practical matters that EV users need to know. In this second episode of the series, Ziegler discusses the history of the development of EV batteries (which might be longer than you think), the materials that are used in batteries, and technological advancements that have improved battery efficiency over the past century. Ziegler also highlights policy tools that may be especially effective at reducing the costs of clean energy technologies such as EV batteries. Future episodes will dive deeper on charging stations and road trips—stay tuned for those. And as you listen, please let us know if we've missed any questions that you're curious about; we may address those in a future podcast episode or blog post. And if you'd rather not spin your wheels on this topic, then tune back in after a few weeks, when we'll return to our normally scheduled programming, which covers all kinds of matters related to environmental economics. Hello everybody and welcome to episode number 20 of the Crushing It In Construction podcast. My name is Jordan Skinner, I'm your host,  and this week I am chatting to Scott Clements from Inertia Engineering. In this episode, Scott and I talk about how companies can more effectively communicate their value. This is a really important topic because the companies that do a really great job of communicating their value and fully understand the value that they can bring to any given project give themselves a massive competitive advantage. It allows them to build better relationships, build more trust and most importantly, it allows them to be positioned as a trusted advisor and in some cases affords them the luxury of commanding higher fees. CONTACT DETAILS:Scott ClementsLinkedIn: https://inertiaeng.com.au/Website: https://www.linkedin.com/in/scott-clements-a0093915/Jordan SkinnerLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jordan-skinner-685439178/Website: https://moonshotmedia.com.au/
