The Spin Chagrin, a concept that finds Frank having to watch a movie he's never seen before based on the random spin of a wheel filled with off-the-wall genres, continues into its fourth year. All the categories are quotables from Frank himself. In this episode, Frank's category was "Future Imperfect Bullshit.” For this category, he watched and reviewed two movies - the recent Netflix sci-fi flop, The Electric State, starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, and the b-movie classic, Space Mutiny.
It's a mutiny in space! SPACE MUTINY! The most 70s sci-fi movie to come out of the late 80s. A rip-roaring Star Wars ripoff that's chock-full of reused footage from a much better Star Wars ripoff, Battlestar Galactica. Steve and Justin beam aboard the Souther Sun and discover one of the craziest production histories this side of the moon. From a director on their deathbed to locations that look ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like a spaceship, Space Mutiny doesn't often get it right, but when it does, it usually involves a giant explosion. And that's just fine in the boys' book.SH*T!WATCH SPACE MUTINY HEREBUY OUR MERCH! Fern, Artemis, Bobby, and Mike continue their deep dive into Cameron Mitchel films with another David Winter's "classic" Space Mutiny. Fake beards, directors quitting, space nepotism, this movie has it ALL!
A pilot is the only hope to stop the mutiny of a spacecraft by its security crew, who plot to sell the crew of the ship into slavery. We discuss the good bits of a kind of enjoyable space romp that clearly inspired Austin Powers during his jaunts in Dr Evil's lair.We rented this movie from Prime Videohttps://linktr.ee/iseebadmoviesMusic by ZakharValaha from Pixabay Hosted on Acast. As we continue into our March Into Madness uh....gimmick? We're looking at a special brand of madness. Specifically space madness, which is a pretty common trope you've probably seen if you're at all into Sci-Fi. Sunshine is pretty widely unknown and some people have issues with the final act, but for me, great flick. Then let's talk about Space Mutiny. It's just an hour a a half long laser fight with about 15 minutes of bad acting / line delivery. This week Jim is back from a break, Darren is off touring the galaxy in the game Starfield and Lee celebrates a 25th wedding anniversary with food and alcohol decadence... Elton on the other hand is off this week because the double whammy of Space Mutiny and Indiana Jones 5 broke his mind. After some feedback (mainly giving Indy a kickin') we move on to this weeks film. Then after some hastily cobbled together jingles (thanks fruit based megacorp for the obligatory third party legal requirement buy in) we move on to this weeks film... Acomi and Turk182 are brought together to compete in a Let's Watch! rematch featuring South African karate master James Ryan. Consisting of three films, Kill Or Be Killed (1980), Kill and Kill Again (1981), and Space Mutiny (1988). Martial artist Steve Hunt (the Hunt comes before the Chase. See Let's Watch! Kill and Kill Again.), is hired by a Nazi to compete in a martial artist competition against his Japanese adversary, Miyagi. Having lost to Miyagi at the 1936 Olympics, the team leader needs Steve's expert skills to finally win. But, he's a Nazi, sooooooo... Join Acomi and Turk as they fight Nazis and apartheid by making fun of a movie that's more karah-tee than karah-tay. In this Let's Watch! competition it's either Kill or Be Killed! Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience. So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so. Note: This video is the commentary recorded by Acomi and Turk182, and selected screenshots. It is NOT a viewable copy of the film. Hillary and Tina cover Mutiny in Space and John Joe Gray. Hillary's Story In 1973, NASA sent astronauts to the Skylab space station. BUT when they stop contact with ground control, many wondered if it was an act of rebellion. Tina's Story John Joe Gray is a self proclaimed sovereign citizen who doesn't believe in Federal authority. BUT after an arrest, he ends up leading the longest armed standoff in US history. Acomi and Turk182 decide to watch Battlestar Galactica, but don't want to invest the time. So, they choose the next best/worst thing, Space Mutiny (1988). Starring Captain America himself, Reb Brown, and the martial arts master of Kill or Be Killed and Kill, and Kill Again, James Ryan. Described by some as Mutiny on the Bounty in space (no one calls it that), the film is a taut political thriller about a military coup in space. A space coup. A Space Mutiny. What more can be said about a movie whose plot is as thin as the air they're flying around in. If you want to see boxy, low riding, go-carts along with hula hoop dancing, incredibly wide shoulder pads, a man with an unexplained limp, and the cult of Stevie Nicks, then sic semper tyrannis. Join Acomi and Turk as they struggle to understand the plot, and strange future fashions, that await us in the not-too-distant-future. A time when we've left the Earth behind. Along with storytelling, common sense, and quality special effects. And, the only thing we brought with us is mutiny. Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. Μπορεί το Alien να μας έμαθε ότι in space no one can hear you scream, αλλά αυτό σίγουρα δεν το είπαν στον Ρεμπ Μπράουν ο οποίος πολύ απλά είπα "ναι, αλλά εγώ βροντοφωνάζω".

We're kicking off this month with the number two fav of most MS3K fans, Space Mutiny, starring Reb Brown. Who is Reb Brown? He's a B action star that is famous for shooting, screaming, shooting and screaming, and making awkward love on camera. You will also get some vibes of Nichelle Nichols dancing from Star Trek 5 in this episode as well. Scott shudders, barfs, and mutters, “Dear God, Why?!
Reb Brown returns to the podcast, a year after his astonishing debut as Yor! This time, he's receiving the full Actor Autopsy treatment. But does he have the opportunity to show off his acting chops, or just his chiseled physique?First up, we have Bruno Mattei's version of Rambo. And when you can't get Stallone, Reb Brown seems like the obvious choice for option number two. Get ready for screaming monkeys, staredowns with cobras, shirtless Reb, headbutting standoffs, exploding mannequins, more shirtless Reb, popcorn trees, cotton candy mountains, a lot of wasted ammunition, and evidence of advances in Russian dentures, in Strike Commando (1986)!You know those novelty energy plasma balls that were all the rage in the 80s? Well, this movie has a lot of them. And the filmmakers seem to be determined to bring back the hula hoop, by suggesting that it would make an irresistible accessory for erotic dance exhibitions. Yeah, other than Reb Brown, and poor Cameron Mitchell (in a bad Santa beard), those are the most interesting parts of Space Mutiny (1988).And then from there, it's the revenge of Bruno Mattei! This time, we're subjected to the Italian version of a certain Schwarzenegger jungle romp, featuring a not-so human hunter, stalking its prey. And when you can't get Arnold, Reb Brown seems like the obvious choice for option number two. Get ready for severed limbs, melting corpses, and plenty of digital vocalizing, in Robowar (1988)!
This week, it's time for the Sci-Fi genre to join the BMC as hosts Dominic Lawton & Ken B Wild deep dive the 1988 film - SPACE MUTINY. The boys discuss MST3K, fire safety and Lia's docking bay! Meanwhile, Dom talks Reb Brown as an action film star whilst Ken explains his love for Calgon's evil laugh! The film pitch this week sees the BMC talking us through a Prequel to today's film. Before they mutinied in space, MacPhearson and Calgon were young cadets with a dream to serve aboard the Southern Sun. Until a rouge gang of Space Pirates with eyes on the Southern Sun's power lead by Commander Carl Weathers starts to turn their heads by telling them there's more to life than one spaceship. Lou Diamond Phillips and Sam J Jones star in BATTLESTAR WARS GALACTICAL TREK PART 7: THE LIMPING DRAGO! Cast includes Reb Brown, Brian Blessed, Billy Idol, Shooeboogie as himself, Sasquatch as Herself and Carl Weathers as Commander Carl Weathers! This week, Charles, Mike, Corinne, and Nick talk about the infamous and perplexing Space Mutiny starring Captain America himself, Reb Brown! What do they have to say about this cheap science fiction movie? Come listen to find out!
Steven McClintock returns to TalkandRockRadio with a special Christmas episode. Steven is an American singer, songwriter, and a music producer, with almost 20 million records sold to his credit. He has written top 40 hit songs in country, pop and AOR. He has been a part of the music group Fertitta & McClintock (with David Fertitta) since the mid-1970s (they won the "Overall Grand Prize" and "Best Group/Duo" at the International Acoustic Music Awards). He also has done solo work like the song "Maybe Love" on the Jetsons: The Movie soundtrack, as well as "Edge of a Dream", the soundtrack to the movie Space Mutiny, which was memorably lambasted by the cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000, the song was likewise mocked when it appears in the closing credits, with the 'bots (Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot) "singing along" using lyrics from other tracks. In January 2009, the track was finally released commercially through McClintock's official Myspace website.
Can this legendary MST3K-riffed movie stand on its own without the riffage?

And now a moving tale of resurrection. Like the Bible, only the resurrection is a continuity error, and the movement is of the bathroom variety. As our Year of Hell continues, the hosts must endure a movie made watchable only by the good people at MST3K. We're doing the Cameron Mitchell classic(?) sci-fi schlock-fest Space Mutiny. Enjoy. Or don't, I'm not your boss. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Tyler and David discuss what they've ben watching, including The Final Year, The War of the Worlds, Damsel, On the Seventh Day, Tag, Greaser's Palace, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, The Fallen Idol, Space Mutiny, The Three Musketeers, Ant-Man and the Wasp, I, Tonya, Calling All Earthlings and Smokey and the Bandit.
On this episode of the Revival League Podcast, Greg's off doing work for charity, which means Ryan and Robb are in charge. This turns out to be a bad idea. Robb and Ryan spend way too much time dissecting "Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom", somehow even finding a way to connect it to complaints about "Kong: Skull Island." They also chat about Felicia Day's upcoming fundraiser for immigrant families and how MSTies can help. In the interview segment, Ron and Kate chat with FreakZone Games' Sam Beddoes, creator of the hit "Manos" video game for mobile and PC. And in honor of RiffTrax's recent "Space Mutiny" live show, Ron and some fellow MSTies gather at the Belcourt Tap in Nashville to talk about their favorite moments from the "Space Mutiny" MST3K episode. All this and a beefy guy with 48 names, on this week's episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). EDITOR’S NOTE: In June 2019, this podcast merged with the Damn Dirty Geeks Podcast and became The Damn Dirty Drive-in. These are our classic back catalog episodes, dating back to March 2016. From her knitted Thanos Infinity Gauntlet glove to her Crow T. Robot poodle skirt, fabric artist Bridget Thuemmel has gained acclaim for her witty takes on geek franchises. Thuemmel was even recently featured alongside the stars of “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” in a PopLurker.com article about the Women of MST3K. Thuemmel chats with Greg about her art and other creations. Meanwhile, podcast regulars Ron, James, Deana and Robb drop by the studio in person to discuss awards season and the Razzies. (Looking sad-faced at you, “Emoji Movie”). In the Mini Soda Review, everyone samples an excellent Boylan’s Crème. In Music! Science! Cats!, James explains the music of Nerdcore rapper Mega Ran; Deana shares the life and career of pioneering 19th-Century scientist Maria Mitchell; and Robb gives a big thumbs up to polydactyl cats. And in Reviewers In The MST, the gang revels over all versions of “Space Mutiny.” All this, and Woodsy the Owl’s new replacement, Coalie the Canary, is here to wow your kids with the wonders of mountaintop-removal mining, on this episode of the Revival League Podcast! Frank Dietz is known in “Mystery Science Theater 3000” circles for his role as Detective Frank Sorrell in “Zombie Nightmare.” But chances are, if you saw and loved a Disney animated movie of the late ‘90s or early ‘00s, Dietz played a part as a talented animator: “Hercules,” “Mulan,” “Tarzan,” “Fantasia 2000,” “Atlantis: The Lost Empire.” Dietz also reminisces over working with Adam West (“Batman 66”, “Family Guy”). Ryan is out sick this week, so stand-up comic Robb Maynard joins Greg and Kate in the studio. The podcast gang celebrates Rifftrax’s successful Kickstarter to bring “Krull” and “Space Mutiny” to the big screen. And in the Mini Soda Review, the podcast gang drinks “Old Dominion,” a delicious root beer from Virginia. In “Music! Science! Cats!,” Kate explains how chimerism fuses embryos into single organisms that are half-and-half rarities. Robb and Greg review the Rachel McAdams/Jason Bateman comedy, “Game Night.” All this, and a BBC nature special where Sir David Attenborough says, “fuck it,” and fracks a sperm whale for its oil, on this week’s episode of the Revival League Podcast!
On a diplomatic mission to get a race of dog people and a race of snake people to work out their differences, Worf gets electrocuted by space lightning
This week on the greatest podcast about bad movies, Sam decides to punish us for 2 1/2 hours with both Michael Bay and Bruce Willis' first appearance on the show. It's the "classic" teenage-girl loving mega-hit, Armageddon, in which a rock gets sploded by oil drillers. Prepare for some bad science! Streaming Dos and Don'ts The Colony - Netflix Mazes and Monsters - Amazon Prime Space Mutiny - Netflix (MST3K) The Wild Card - The Great Superpower Debate The Iron Foot - 7.25/10 stars
This week on the show, we decided to do things a little differently, by watching an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. Now, you may argue that a podcast about movies literally talking about a show about movies is redundant, but it's hard to give a fuck when the offering of MST 3K in question is this much fun. In part 2, we discussed a whole lot of T.V. and movie villains. For the next episode, the question of the week is: What are the best/worst movie and T.V. themes? Best known for playing the lead in the 1979 television Captain America film, Brown also starred on various TV shows, 1983's Yor, the Hunter from the Future, and 1988's sci-fi film Space Mutiny (made famous in an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000). In a NBRR&M first, we decide to review the review of an awful, awful movie. That's right, we are reviewing a film from Mystery Science Theater 3000! And boy was this one a stinker! Although MST3K are intentionally awful movies, this one may take the cake. Not even witty banter or small side scenes could save this one. Check out this episode to get the full scoop on how bad Space Mutiny really is. Also, we are now on Stitcher! Yaaaaaaay!
Slow Robot A Go-Go Show 222 – The Murder Clinic AND Space Mutiny Tonight Dr. Morbius (from parts unknown) and mOw talk about the movies they watched this week. After that the team tried to figure out what the heck this weird medical place was doing in the middle of the woods. We can tell […]

What are the great cartoons of your childhood? Did you watch Dungeons & Dragons or Super Friends (or the Super Powers show)? Remember Hanna Barbera classics like Thundarr the Barbarian and the Herculoids before Adult Swim caught hold of them? Of were you a robot man? Did you follow Voltron and the Mighty Orbots? Were you a Transformers man or did you favor the Gobots instead? Remember the Batman Animated Series and the awesomeness of the Tick? Everyone watched He-Man and GI Joe, but do you remember Plastic Man and the original Space Ghost? Remember the Real Ghostbusters and the original Ghostbusters (with the gorilla in it)? How about Galaxy High, Teen Wolf and Turbo Teen? The boys talk about these and all the toys that went with them (whatever happened to the Shogun Warriors anyway?), and somewhere in this still have time to discuss cinematic gems like Star Crash and Space Mutiny (the one that used the special FX from the original Battlestar Galactica TV show); we even talk about the Captain America TV movies a little. This show's got it all, folks...
