Mick and Tristan really like music, and other stuff too. You better believe we're gonna talk about it. With insightful dissection on everything from exciting new albums and live shows to mostly kick ass movies and delicious craft beer, they try to answer the truly meaningful questions of life.... li…
Hello friends and welcome back to BORP. For EP 53 Mickey and Tristan collectively accepted the demoralizing transition from summer to fall is in full swing. Mickey is handling this metamorphosis with the grace and dignity he is known for and Tristan is... coping. So really everyone is maturing. Moving onto the show, for our album pick (11:50) we listened to the 1996 snarling and pugilistic hip hop opus Wrath of the Math by Jeru The Damaja. For movie time with Tristan and Mick (1:18:20) we watched the psychedelic sci fi fantasy erotica of a trip, Heavy Metal. For New and Noteworthy (2:00:00) we check out some cool stuff from Cannons, Sassy 009, Stereolab, and Circuit des Yeux. For Three Questions for Tristan (2:22:03), Mickey makes Tristan channel his inner hair metal fan and really just a bunch of other weird stuff. Find the episode on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. You can also find our EP 53 playlist on Apple Music and Spotify. Thanks for listening, don't forget to rate & subscribe and follow our IG page @beatsonrepeatpod for more from the show.
Hello friends and welcome back to BORP. Between adjusting to semi post pandemic summer activities, Mickey's continued furtherance of scholastic studies, and Tristan essentially moving to the beach to teach surfing to unsuspecting passers by despite barely being able to swim himself, it's been a while since we were able to get an episode finished. Luckily, what an episode it is for you all. Tristan is still at it nagging everyone with Covid regulation PSAs and Mickey busted out some truly stellar Chinese greet tea for this one. Our album pick this episode (15:36) is Metric's 2003 debut LP, Old World Underground Where Are You Now? Mickey and Tristan discuss the post 9/11 surveillance state and ever expanding millennial income gap that contributes to the anxiety and cynicism that permeates the album. For our film pick (1:11:15) we watched the 2018 Lars Von Trier film The House That Jack Built. Is it a bitting satire that critiques our normalization of violence, or is it self important pretension that delusionaly conflates fetishized abuse with high art? For New and Noteworthy (1:56:30) we check out music from Koreless, Rhye, Sleater Kinney, and Sau Poler. For Three Questions (2:22:48) Mickey tries to go easy on Tristan but Tristan bombs anyways. Find the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and our website Midrange. Follow us at Beats On Repeat Pod for more content from the show. You can also find our episode playlist featuring all of the songs we discussed on Spotify and Apple Music. Thanks for listening!
Hello friends, welcome to BORP EP 51 and get ready for some fun- sorry about the lame rhyme there. It's great to be back in the studio and sharing our hot, occasionally silly takes on music and film. Mickey is fully immersed in that micro dosing life but if you thought that would calm him down a little think again. Tristan had just returned from the mountains before recording so he's still shaking that Shining-esque cabin fever (note- we recorded this episode before the current pandemic travel restrictions). For our album pick (12:30) we listened to the masterful and ambitious Dots & Loops by Stereolab. Tristan and Mick get into some heated discussions about what actually constitutes pop music in doing so- it's spicy! For our film pick (1:28:14) we watched the 2015 art house (maybe) horror (definitely) film Green Room, and dive into the ideological implications of the characters in it. For New & Noteworthy (2:00:28) we checked out music from Nick Hakim & Roy Nathanson, Tkay Maidza, Sun June, and Spirit Of The Beehive. For Three Questions (2:20:38) Mickey takes Tristan on a trip down memory lane, but also makes him talk about hockey. Rude! Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or our website Midrange. Do your thing with the likes, subscribes, and comments as the algorithm demands it. You can also find all of the tracks we discuss on our EP 51 playlist on Apple Music and Spotify. Thanks so much for listening!
Hello friends and at last welcome back to BORP! after a long pandemic safety related hiatus we are finally back with the big EP 50! We're super excited to be back and have missed you all very much. After so long of not being able to record together Mick and Tristan spend time catching up on their newly hermetic life styles. Mick is drinking a lot more tea and Tristan mostly just wants to play with Pete The Cat. Because we've hit one of those fun mile stone episodes (where's our congratulatory letter from the queen?) we went with some extra special topics for this round. For our album pick (18:05) we listen to the colossal break up record, and Tristan's favourite album of the 2010s, Take Me Apart by Kelela. For our film pick (1:14:50) we watched the seminal, monumental, and towering anime epic Akira. We're equal parts mollified by the technical wizardry and the convoluted thematics but what a ride. For New and Noteworthy (1:57:20) we checked out tracks my Rósín Murphy, Jerry Paper, Playboi Carti, and Jeff Bryant. Moving on to Three Questions (2:25:02) Tristan reveals himself as the uncultured swine that he is but at least he likes trees. We had tons of fun recording in Mick's newly flexed out studio space and are pumped to be making new episodes again. Find the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or our site Midrange. Also find our episode playlist featuring every track we cover in detail on Apple Music and Spotify. Thanks friends!
Hello friends, welcome to EP 49 of BORP- we are very excited to have you joining us today! As we transition firmly into Autumn, Tristan fills more and more with existential dread as the onset of winter approaches. However he does get to show off more of his sweaters. Mickey has elected to take a brief sabbatical from drinking in hopes of living his best life and having a shinier beard. You can't see because it's a podcast but it is absolutely working, oh wow. As such, it was just Tristan that brought a beer this time (9:20) which was an Xtra Pale Ale from one of the newer Vancouver spots, Academy Brewing. For our album pick (21:05) Mickey selected perhaps the most atypical and out there album we've ever had on the show. We listen to the minimalist piano ballad, spoken word collaboration by Chilly Gonzales and Jarvis Cocker titled Room 29. We debate if the album, focusing on the excesses of Hollywood, is deeply funny or morbidly sad. We landed on it being a lot of both. For movie time (1:20:35) Tristan selected one of the very best and progressive comedies of 2019, Booksmart. Our New and Noteworthy (1:48:25) selections cover tracks from Max D, No Joy, Molly Birch, and Nubya Garcia. For Three Questions (2:19:27) Mickey attempts to commune with Winter Tristan and it goes about as well as expected. Find the show on Apple podcasts and Spotify. You can also find our EP49 playlist on Apple Music and Spotify. Don't forget to check out our website Midrange, where we host all of our podcasts, and sign up for the newsletter. Follow us on IG to stay up to date on new episodes and learn what's good in music. Thanks for listening!
Hello friends and welcome to EP 48 of BORP! What a time to be alive, yes? Maybe don't think too hard about that. In this episode Tristan and Mick ponder yet again the coming Nickleback reckoning that all Canadians must one day endure. Mickey reminisces on the good old days of the east coast house scene in the 80s while Tristan tries to preemptively prevent Drake from suing us. Not today Drake! Mickey makes the mistake of bringing up Star Trek which segues, obviously, into Tristan discussing an essay he read about how earl grey tea is trash. Our beer picks this episode (7:10) had us checking out the Slow Hand Galaxy Pilsner and an exotic raspberry sour from Brewhall and we had a heck of a time with both of them. For album time with Tristan and Mick (22:54) we listened to -err- It's Album Time With Todd Terje, the nerdy as heck space disco fantasy from the Scandinavian DJ. Things took a turn for surreal and ridiculous paranoia for movie time (1:29:50), as we watched the 1988 John Carpenter cult classic They Live. We're here to to watch that never-ending fight scene and chew bubblegum; and we're all out of bubblegum. For new and noteworthy (2:12:48) we checked out stuff from Washed Out, Seu Jorge, Bully, and Khruangbin. For Three Questions (2:44:18) Micky busts out his hardest rapid fire yet and Tristan is still shaken. Find the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Midrange. Don't forget to rate and subscribe in exchange for good karma. You can also find our episode playlists on Apple Music and Spotify. Follow us on IG to stay up to date on all our episodes and the occasional pic of Pete The Cat. Hang in there kitties!
Hello fellow residents of our dystopian- and hopefully alternate- reality that is 2020. Welcome to episode 47 of BORP. In this round Mick discusses his time spent at the recent indigenous rights demonstration from oration to musical output. Meanwhile Tristan has recently discovered vitamins and supplements so it's a bit of a sliding scale for self betterment. Also, Mick added sound effects to this episode so it's kinda like 90s talk radio and it's awesome. We think. Moving on to beers (5:45) we try some lovely offerings from Electric Bicycle and Ile Sauvage. For our album pick (21:10) we listened to the subversive but no less seminal debut LP from 90s slack hip hop pioneers The Pharcyde, Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde. For movie time (1:25:36) we watched the Tarantino, grindhouse, *literal* thrill ride, Death Proof. In his enthusiasm for the subject matter Tristan mixed up the names of the actors and cars in it several times; he begs forgiveness. New and Noteworthy (2:16:20) from A Tribe Called Red, Special Interest, Caleb Heppner, and Phoebe Bridgers. For three questions (2:46:00) Mickey grossly over estimates how much Tristan eats; Tristan also pretty much forgets how to count to 10. You don't have to forgive him for that one. Find the episode on Spotify or iTunes. We also have our EP47 playlist that features every track we discuss at length on Spotify and Apple Music. Thanks for listening!
Hello friends and welcome to EP 46 of BORP. As this episode airs protests across America and across the world are still being organized in response to police brutality and systemic racism against the black and BIPOC communities. Even as media attention moves on to other topics as it invetibley always does, its important to acknowledge that these protests and the advocates helping organize them are absolutely not going away until some real changes happen. With that in mind this episode will focus on highlighting music and film made by black American artists and their contributions to our culture. But first, some beers (6:20). We checked out a hazy lager from Old Abbey Ales and black raspberry sour from House of Funk. Our album pick (18:25) was the 2006 debut from Lupe Fiasco, Food & Liquor. For movie time (1:15:25) we watched the 1992 deep cut featuring a very young Tupac, Juice. For New and Noteworthy (1:54:04) we checkout new music by Terrace Martin/ Denzel Curry/ Kamasi Washington/ Daylyt, Robert Glasper, Run The Jewels, and Elah Hale. For Three Questions (2:19:45) Mick got extra Inception-y with his queries and broke Tristan's already fragile brain. Find the episode Spotify or iTunes. Find our EP47 playlist on Spotify and Apple Music. Thanks for listening and arrest the cops that murdered Breonna Taylor.
Hello friends and welcome to EP 45 of BORP! A quick note before getting into the preview. The turnaround time between recording, editing, and posting our episodes is not super fast, which is kind of the way we like it. As such, this episode was recorded before the racist murder of George Floyd sparked protests confronting police brutality and systemic racism around the globe, which is why there is no discussion of it. We look forward to sharing our thoughts on the issue in our next episode that we will be recording soon, however one of the many lessons to draw from what has happened in recent weeks is you shouldn't need a catalyst to confront racism, you should just do it all the time. For EP 45 we checked out some beers (6:06) from Wildeye Brewing and Off The Rail. Our album pick (27:20) was the synth noir blues experiment from Timber Timbre, Scincerly, Future Polution. We looked to modern westerns for our film pick (1:28:16) with Hell or High Water. For New and Noteworthy (2:10:02) we checked out some great tracks by Squirrel Flower, Park Hye Jin, Mint Julep, and Agar Agar. For Three Questions (2:36:32) Mick went with one theme for all of the questions and it's a miracle Tristan made it through the last one. Find the episode on Spotify or iTunes, search Beats On Repeat. Or find the show on our website Midrange along with our other podcasts like Track and Food. You can also find our EP45 playlist on Spotify and Apple Music. Thanks for listening everyone!
Ok team welcome to EP 44 of BORP! We are very excited to bring you all sorts of neat content about music, film, and beer. Mickey is speaking more and more in French lately so there is also that. Tristan discusses his various Star Wars themed socks while Mickey has some slightly more intimate swag that none of us saw coming. We try to figure out the difference between internet rap and Soundcloud rap but don't make much progress. As the pandemic wears on and the liquor stores shelves are getting a little slim Tristan and Mick went in different directions for the beer picks (6:22). Mickey went super new and indie with a black pilsner from Taylight Brewing, where as Tristan returned to his dark master Brassneck with the Employee of the Month American Pale Ale. For our album pick (26:40) we went with the harrowing Let England Shake by PJ Harvey, and examine her exquisite writing documenting England's role in the horrors of modern warfare. Things don't get any more rosy for our film pick (1:25:13) as Mickey selected the 90s sci fi horror black sheep Event Horizon- dust off those latin textbooks! For New and Noteworthy (2:10:44) we check out music by Ela Minus, Breakbot, Kari Faux, and Many Voices Speak. As we wind down with Three Questions (2:32:42) Mickey asks Tristan to predict when he thinks the next world war might start. Maybe not today, definitely not tomorrow, but maybe at some point? Find the episode on Spotify or iTunes, and find our episode playlist on Spotify or Apple Music, just search 'Beats on Repeat' on your platform of choice. You can also find the episode and playlist on our website Midrange as well as lots of other cool stuff from the whole team. Thanks for listening friends!
Hello friends! For this special episode of BORP we give you a project called Lluvia en la Carretera. This is a project that co-host Mickey Mcleod put together with contributor Daniel Thomas Williams. It is a wonderful short story to great music. We hope you enjoy!
Hello Friends and welcome to EP 43 of BORP! Our show has settled comfortably into middle age by now. We are no longer sure of what is hip in music anymore or even what day it is really, although that may be quarantine related. Lots to cover in this episode, including why exactly Mickey has a case of Caribous in his fridge. Elsewhere, Tristan has let his hair grow out and let's just say its a good thing you can't see what it looks like. As we try out some beers (7:00) we learn where Modern Times Brewery gets it's name from and a selection from Deep Cove Brewing segues into learning about which countries produce the most beer hops. For our album pick (29:00) we listened to the early 2000s indie dance, disco electronica debut album from Metro Area. We spend some time discussing how their pioneering efforts helped pave the way for underground dance music as know it today. For our film pick (1:32:56) we watched, not Judge Dredd, but the 2012 reboot Dredd, in all of it's brutally efficient glory. In the discussion, Tristan accidentally admits to enjoying the original 1995 version and almost gets himself fired from the show, again. For New and Noteworthy (2:25:20) we check out new music from Deeper, Half Waif, Ariane Roy, and Nicolas Jaar. For Three questions for Tristan (2:50:27), we somehow end up extolling the virtues of a tire swing, but you'll have to listen to find out why. Find the show on Spotify, iTunes or on our website Midrange. You can also find all of the tracks we discuss on our EP43 playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. Thanks for listening mates!
Hello friends and welcome to EP 42 of BORP! It's gonna be a long one, but we figured you've got time these days. As we adjust to our new isolated reality we've endeavoured to not make the show entirely Covid related, but we do check in with Tristan and Mick to see how things have shaken out for them (hint- both unemployed). Not that they've worked very hard to earn it but there were some fun beers to try out these week (9:00). Mick brought a very interesting dry hopped lager by Container Brewing and Tristan brought a sour white IPA by Mariner beer, and it's about as intriguing as the name in implies. For album time (30:45) Tristan picked one of the most unique albums of 2018, the distorted and devastating Double Negative by Low. Mick and Tristan dive real deep into this one so strap in, it's gonna get traumatic. For movie time (1:39:10) Mick thankfully picked something way more uplifting and went with the untouchable Pixar classic Wall-E. rather than discuss the film in any meaningful way, Tristan and Mick just imitate the robot voices as that's about all they had left in them at that point. For New and Noteworthy (2:25:32) we feature Porridge Radio, Squarepusher, Empress Of, and Better Person. For Three Questions (2:53:32) Mick ponders Tristan's place in a post apocalyptic waste land, mostly to consider the fashion options. Find the EP on Spotify or iTunes. Find our EP42 playlist featuring all the songs we discussed on Spotify or Apple Music. Thanks for listening and stay safe out there crew!
Hello fellow isolators and welcome to the Midrange Group Chat. Today, some of the members of the Midrange team got together remotely to talk about pretty much whatever came to mind. This round we are joined by Mickey, Jamie, Dan, and Tristan. While there is some unavoidable speculation regarding what will come from this new way of life, the team tries to focus on some potential silver linings of what the world will look like on the end of the quarantine. How will we behave around each other, what standards will we hold our leaders to, how will we view the role and context of the economy? Elsewhere the team discusses the joys of making mixtapes, our ideal dream team of fellow quarantine buddies, and Dan's plants. They are great. find the episode on the Apple Music and Spotify pages for both Beats on Repeat and Track and Food, as well as on Midrange. Thanks friends!
Ok Team welcome to EP41 of BORP! We usually record about two weeks before each episode goes live. It's often a bit odd to write about things that we're going down two weeks in the past but it's never that much of a big deal. Of course in the last two weeks the world has been irrevocably changed, to the point where anything prior to the coronavirus breaking the world seems sadly irrelevant. On the flip side, after a week or so of being inundated like never before with one single unrelenting topic, hopefully it'll be a nice change to listen to something that's not related to our rehearsal for the end of the world. Tristan and Mick touch upon the Wet'suwet'on protests- and an artist named Black Belt Eagle Scout that might have something to say about it- that occupied much our our minds in February during less surreal times. Tristan threatens to start the political podcast that literally no one wants. There's beer too (8:24)! Mick brings out a surprisingly great IPA from Foamers Folly, and Tristan tests out a just plain surprising cranberry and red currant ale from Temporal Artisan Ales. Consider Mick's album pick (26:50) as one of the last bits of respite you may get for a while- we listened to the lovely album by Victoria's (ahem) Loving, If Only I Am My Thoughts. For movie time (1:22:13) Tristan picked one of the low key sleeper hits of the dark fantasy horror genre from recent years, Tigers Are Note Afraid. New and Note Worthy (2:06:23) features tracks from Calvin Love, Waxahatchee, Durand Jones, and Christine and The Queens. Between the last episode and now a heck load of great music has come out so this was just about the hardest round of picks to narrow down we've ever done. We wind down with three questions for Tristan (2:34:25) with a look back on the music of 2020 so far, and a quick peak into his thoughts on rom coms. Find the Episode on iTunes or Spotify or our sister website Midrange. You can also find our EP41 playlist featuring every track discussed at length on Apple Music or Spotify. Be sure to follow us at beatsonrepeatpod to stay up to date on our new episodes. Thanks for listening and enjoy quarantine!
G'day mates! Welcome to EP 40 of BORP! Good lord we've made it to 40 episodes, congratulations to you for sticking with us this far. It's a special one for us so worked hard for you- the listener- to make it a heckin' good one. Mick explains the economic values of a boxed wine diet while Tristan retreats into the 90s for yet another Fraiser reference- so off to a good start. For the beers (7:07) we both take a trip to New Westminster for inspiration. Tristan got his hands on the much coveted Blush Rose Saison by Steel & Oak where as Mick introduces us to an India Pale Kolsch by one of the newest, coolest breweries in the area, Another Beer Company. Our album pick (30:44) is one of Tristan's all time favourites, The Electric Lady by Janelle Monáe. We dive into its exceptionally ambitious sci fi concept, funk and soul inspired bangers, incendiary guitar solos, and what it's future dystopian story of a subjugated class of androids has to say about our world today. It's a lot to examine but we had a blast going for it. Things take a decidedly darker (literally) turn with our film pick (1:37:42), the 2019 cosmic brain melter of film, The Lighthouse. If one's initial impression of this film is a black and white pretentious attempt at Oscar bait, good lord is it ever not. The depths of madness and mental trauma inflicted upon the characters of this story by the paranormal elements of the island and simply by themselves is downright morbid. It goes in fascinating, hallucinogenic and reality breaking directions, with an ending as disorienting as it is visually spectacular. Plus- ye olde sailor talk! For New and Noteworthy (2:21:35) we bang out new material from the first MVP of 2020 070 Shake, one of Mick's favourite tracks of the year so far by TOPS, Real Estate returns with a wonderful single for their new album, and just who is Konduku? Find out with us! We wrap things up with 3 questions for Skinny T (3:03:10) where Mick brings out the dreaded list question again. Listen to the show on iTunes or Spotify, or our sister site Midrange, where you can also find lots of other fun content. Find all the of the tracks we discuss at length in this episode on our EP40 playlist on Apple Music and Spotify- Search Beats On Repeat. Follow us on IG to stay up date on new episodes. Thanks for listening, now let's do another 40!
Ok friendos welcome to EP39 of BORP! we have survived the New Years winter Armageddon to bring you, the listener (!), yet another round of Mick and Tristan's inane banter. When we are on point we discuss a wide range of interesting music and film, however the conversation does at a couple points devolve into discussing Mickey's beard. Again. Elsewhere Tristan goes on a rueful, weather related rant regarding his woefully inadequate garbage service. Don't Get him started! Lets dig in.For our beverage picks (11:15) Mick and Tristan take a deep look into the still emergent co-op/ contract brewing industry and how it is changing our perspective of how craft beer can work. To that end we try two beers from the Vancouver based Craft Collective: The Paper Cup Navigating Darkness Stout, and the Phantom Brewing Remembering Tomorrow IPA. We had a ton of fun checking out two of the newest kids on the block.Mickey picked the album (30:23) this week and went with one of his all time favourites and influential albums of his formative years: the incendiary and political thrasher of a punk album, Less Talk More Rock by Manitoba hooligans Propagandhi. We look back on the rise and fall and evolution of the punk band that never fit in, their fearless antagonizing of neo facism, and their apoplectic furor against, not only all the perceived wrongs in the world, but how little their community actually cared. Rest assured they had an answer to it all.For our film pick (1:22:47) we watched the 2014 nocturnal thriller Nightcrawler. Set upon a beautifully shot LA underbelly at night illuminated by sirens and fraught with tension. The film is a disturbing depiction of moral relativism and how the qualities we associate with heroism can be co-opted by the most insidious of individuals. In an industry already wreaking of corruption, a mysterious Lou Bloom, with his undeleting drive for transactional success, somehow makes everything- and everyone- worse. For New and Noteworthy (2:00:37) we listen to new stuff from Hether, Wild Nothing, Datach'i, and U.S. Girls. As we reach the end with Three Questions (2:36:00) Mickey checks in on Winter Tristan and we look back on some early work of Jake Gylenhall. Find the EP on iTunes, Spotify, or our own site Midrange. Find all the tracks we discuss at length on our EP 39 playlist on Spotify or Apple Music. Be sure to follow us on instagram to stay up to date when new episodes are out. Thanks crew!
Ok friendos welcome to EP38 of BORP! In our last episode of 2019 we take some time to chat about our top 100 tracks of the year and very nearly come to blows on repeated occasions; mostly just slap fights, really. We pay little service to the notion of dark heavy holiday beers for this round and instead pretend its summer for beverages picks. Mickey is still on the cider train (it's a long train!) with a selection from Brickers Cider. Tristan went purely which beer had the nicest label and went with a lavender gruit ale from Moody Ales. For our album pick we dive into the tangled web of psychedelic indie folk Americana that was Rocket by (Sandy) Alex G. Our movie pick is the noir sci fi thriller classic Gattaca and we have a heck of time discerning what the film got right and wrong about the future. New and noteworthy music from M83, Kaytranada, Caribou (yes!) and Battles. Find part 1 and 2 of the episode on iTunes and Spotify. Also check out our Apple Music and Spotify play list for all the tracks we discuss in detail for this round. Be sure to follow us on IG to stay up to date on new episodes. Thanks mates!

ok crew welcome to EP 37 of BORP! we tweaked the format a little for this one based on feedback that the show is just too damn long. This is fair! Are we going to cut back on the content? Hell heckin' no! What we did do however is split the episode into two parts. Part 1 will feature one of beverage choices, and our album & film analysis. Part 2 will have the second beverage choice, new and noteworthy and three questions for our man T. Let us know what you think! In this round Mickey and Tristan are both recovering or in the middle of flu season. Tristan's body is basically the temple of doom so makes sense but Mick's been on the healthy life style so what the hell? Mick talks about his recent experience at the Vancouver Pod Fest while Tristan wonders if they have pets and our beer at The Pitchfork offices. Speaking of beer, we have none of that this time. What we do have is some Cider. We try not one, not three, but two(!) ciders from Left Field Cider and Dominion Cider. Mickey's taste buds were a little wonky but Tristan assured him they were delicious. For our album picked we listen to the electronic deep cut by never quite well known producer, Casino Vs Japan and his album Go Hawaii. Our film pick is the seminal 1993 thriller The Fugitive. Tristan praises the film's elegant handling of the relationship between Harrison Ford's and Tommy Lee Jones' characters while Mickey mostly just comments on how ripped Ford was, and honestly we are here for that too. New and noteworthy from Men I Trust, Best Coast (great name!), Huck, and FKA Twigs (terrible name!). find the EP on iTunes or Spotify, search Beats on Repeat. You can also find our EP37 playlist featuring all of the tracks we discuss at length on Apple Music or iTunes. Thanks friends!

Ok friends welcome back to BORP! In this episode we are relived as all heck to have Mickey back safe and sound from his adventures down in California at Dessert Daze. Think Lord Of The Rings meets Hunter S Thompson by way of Mick's quirky mannerisms. In between finding his in inner katra (inner dharma?) he saw some pretty great bands and he's gonna talk about them something fierce. Else where in the show Tristan has found his new favourite brewery from across the pond, Toøl Brewing out in Denmark, and they are out for blood. We try their sour pale ale its a heck of a thing that's for true. Mick keeps the cider train rolling from Soma Craft Brewing (they have an alpaca farm!). We checked out their cherry wood aged apple cider and hell if it didn't taste like bbq sauce. Our album pick for this round was the devastatingly raw industrial drone folk biopic Past Life Martyred Saints by EMA. For movie time with Tristan and Mick things only get weirder as we watch the 1973 cult film The Holy Mountain. The bizarre tale of a group of individuals trying to overthrow a corrupt oligarchy that secretly controls the world was billed 45 years ago as the first film that was beyond criticism. It's not! New and noteworthy from Floating Points, SASAMI, Destroyer, and Healing Gems. Tristan, for some reason, regals us in a tale of his favourite bar in LA where he almost went blind and possible beat up by a biker who may have also been the bouncer; for some reason Mickey wants to go? California has changed him! As always you can find the episode on itunes or Spotify. To listen to all the tracks we discus at length search on Apple Music and you'll find all of our episode playlists. To stay up to date on the show follow us on IG (sorry its so boring right now, we are getting some staff in place to spice it up soon!). thanks mates, happy listening!
Ok friends welcome to EP 35 of BORP. We go through some wild mood swings in this one, everything from the existential malaise of being lost in the Canadian wilderness to nerding the damn hell out over the purest if sci fi fun. But first- some beers. We try some premium content from Four Winds, the Edna Crabapple sour, and a lovey cider from Naramata Cider Co. (8:56) Our album pick of the week is the folk-core, sad-core, Canadian-as-hell-core 2001 album Sky Scrapper National Park by Hayden (25:18) Mickey gets lost it its vast, ambient vibes and we're still looking for him. For our film pick we go with the best of all the Star Trek films, sorry Wrath of Khan, but its First Contact (1:21:20) Mickey is not quite sold on some of the technical choices while Tristan jettisons pretty much all analytical intentions and just goes into full on hype mode. Elsewhere in the show we have new and noteworthy music (2:01:30) from Carl Anderson, JPEGMAFIA, Boys Age, and Angel Olsen Mickey extols us on the virtues of a gluten free diet because apparently this is a health blog now. Tristan contemplates if we are approaching a reckoning upon which consider that Nickleback might actually be good? So he's fired. As always find all the tracks we discuss on our Apple Music playlist and listen to the show on iTunes or Spotify. To stay update to date on when new episodes are out follow us on instagram. Thanks pals!
ok friendos, WE'RE BACK! Summer has been real heck' crazy and due to just no damn time we had to take a couple months of recording new episodes. We are very sorry and we missed you all and we will never leave you again. We hope you're all itching for good old fashion episode of BORP cause this one is boarding on obnoxiously long- but also really fun. In this round we break down the vital necessity in the modern hell scape that is reality of an album like the inscrutably outraged Run The Jewels 2. Its one of the best hip hop albums of the last decade and we dig real deep into it. We also try and figure out just what the hell was going on when the made the 1986 Transformers animated film. Optimus Prime dying part way through (spoiler alert) is the least of the weird choices that went down here. Mick no longer even knows if he likes the music he picks, and nerds out real hard on how cool Unicorn was. Tristan goes on a Trump rant so feel free to tune for a couple minutes. We also bang out some great beers from Powell Brewing and Dead Frog. New and noteworthy from Blood Orange, French Vanilla, Brad Stank, and Chance the Rapper. be sure to check out our Apple Music playlist to listen to all the tracks we feature in the episode. follow us on IG or facebook for more content from the show. Thanks mates!
...
Ok Crew welcome to EP32 of the show! This one's a heck of a ride as we listen to one of Tristan's favourite recent albums and watch one of Mick's all time favourite films. The two discuss the pop media god that is Keanu Reeves, struggle with beer related segues, talk about the recent Chromatics show, and probably some more stuff. Tristan crashes and burns worse than usual with the three questions segment, but at least there is some darn good beer. We try the Yellow Dog Squirrel Chaser pale ale, and the Breakside pilsner. Our album pick is the unrelenting sugar high of an album, II by Vancouver's very own The Courtneys. For movie time with Tristan and Mick we watch the divisive 1997 film Contact. As Mick dives into its cerebral and dramatic contrasts, Tristan just gets livid about the religious content in the film, so good times for all. New and noteworthy from Shura, Ginger Root, GoldLink, and Faye Webster. You can listen to the show on iTunes or Spotify. Please subscribe and rate us while you're at it. You can also find all the tracks we discuss on our EP 32 Apple Music playlist. Just search 'beats on repeat'. Follow us here for more content from the show if you like what you hear. Thanks friends!
Ok Crew Welcome to EP 31 of BORP. After featuring possibly one of our weirdest intro songs to date we dive right into the Fraiser deep cut references just for kicks. Mick accidentally coins a new millennial term and we are pretty happy about it. Once Tristan and Mick actually get to work they try out some beers from the wonderful teams at Parkside Brewery and Townsite Brewing. For both the album and film pick we select some of the very best content of 2015. The album pick is the brilliant RnB/soul (don't call it neo soul) record Ego Death by The Internet. For movie time we watched the stunningly vivid Mad Max: Fury Road. New and Noteworthy from Dehd, Steve Lacy, Sault, and Albert Hammond Jr. Tristan gets one of his toughest three questions to date but comes out only slightly humiliated, so good times all around. Find the EP on iTunes or Spotify- be sure to rate and subscribe. You can also find all of the tracks we feature on our Apple Music Playlist- just search 'Beats on Repeat'. Be sure to follow us on instagram and facebook for more content from the show. Thanks for listening and have a great day!
Ok crew, welcome to EP 30 of BORP- can't believe we made it this far! This one's a super extra special fun time episode and we've got the swag to prove it. To celebrate EP 30 Mick and Tristan both got a little something special for each other. Mick, having just checked out the wicked Julia Jacklin show at The Fox, got Tristan a wicked cool concert shirt of hers. Tristan gifted Mick with a DFA records coffee mug and its a beauty. We try out some beers from Collective Arts Brewery and the main street OGs Brassneck. Our album deep dive is the stunningly theatrical and atmospheric tech house masterpiece Unpatterns by Simian Mobile Disco. For movie time we watch the James Cameron pioneering special effects film The Abyss. For new and noteworthy we check out Holy Herndon, Crumb, Girl In Red, and Mac DeMarco. find the show on iTunes or Spotify, if you like what you hear rate and subscribe please! You can also find all of the tracks we discuss on our Apple Music playlist. For more content from the show follow us on instagram and facebook. Thanks to everyone that's been following the show so far- we appreciate you!
Ok friendos welcome to EP 29 of the show! This one is a real ripper and we've got the scars to prove it. To start off with we try two wildly different beers: A märzen from Red Collar brewing and wild ale blend from Bellwoods Brewery out in Toronto. Our album deep dive is the 2012 debut album from Brooklyn hipsters Hospitality. We chat about it's charming as heck pop constructions and articulated millennial angst. Tristan gets the name of one of the songs wrong pretty much every single time and he begs forgiveness. For movie time with Tristan and Mick we take a stroll down memory lane and watch the anime masterpiece Macross Plus. We don't so much as analyze its themes or narrative choices as we do gush about how awesome it still is. New and noteworthy from Jakob Ogawa, Kelsey Lu, Haley Heynderickx, and Kindness. Find the show on itunes or spotify. rate and subscribe to stay up to date on all of our EPs and let us know what you think. To listen to all the tracks we discuss find our EP29 playlist on Apple Music. For more content from the show follow us on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks for listening and have a great day!
Ok Crew, welcome to EP 28 of Beats on Repeat. Heck of a ride this one is, that's for damn true. In this round we go full on 90s with our album and film picks. We listen to Beck's 1999 album Midnight Vultures, in all of its ridiculous and hedonistic glory. For our album retrospective we watch the 1997 colourful and silly as hell sci fi classic The Fifth Element. Unbelievably Tristan doesn't spill the beer this time however Micky does once again get a touch drunk. There is a lively discussion regarding hover boards, but then aren't they all?We also try some beers from Holy Mountain out in Washington as well as local champs Parallel 49. New and noteworthy from Anderson Paak, Michael Seyer, Flying Lotus, and Goosetaf. Listen to us on iTunes or Spotify, don't forget to rate and subscribe. Find all of the tracks we discuss on our Apple Music playlist. For more content from the show listen follow us on Instagram or Facebook. Happy listening!
Ok crew welcome to EP27! This one has some wild swings between hard earned emotional growth and just hysterical levels of terror. Should be fun! Or at least should be easier with some beers. We try out the gorgeous new pilsner by Strange Fellows and try out a cream ale by Blackberry Farms all the way out from Tennessee. Our album deep dive is called Crushing, by rising Aussie folk rock star Julia Jacklin which focuses on the million broken pieces a relationship can be smashed into. We watch the modern day horror masterpiece Hereditary and Mick comes out a changed man. New and noteworthy music from Billie Eilish, Genesis Owusu (cool name), Weyes Blood, and Lazy Day. Find the episode on iTunes or Spotify. Check out our Apple Music playlist to listen to all of the tracks we discuss. For more content from the show follow us on Instagram or on Facebook. Thanks for listening and have a great day!
Ok crew welcome to EP26! In this episode Mick and Tristan decide its time to franchise the brand and release a board game about the show. Experience the thrill of Mickey talking about gear and Tristan spilling beer from the comfort of your own home. Skill testing questions and the cat ignoring you packaged into a compact board and its gonna be thrilling. This is our ticket out of here! Until then we try some beer from Luppolo Brewing and Powell Street Brewing, and they're both monsters. Our album introspective is the dankest dream pop rock project this side of the west coast, Everybody Works by Jay Som. Our film pick is the 1993 cult flick Killing Zoe, and oh wow this film should the poster child to say no to drugs. New and noteworthy music from Clever Austin, Karen O & Danger Mouse, Helado Negro, and Nilüfer Yanya. You can find our show on iTunes and Spotify, make sure you subscribe. Find our EP26 playlist on Apple Music. For more content from the show follow us on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks for listening and have a great day!
Ok crew welcome to EP25! in this episode Tristan and Mick contemplate the implications and impact of digital assistants and smart speakers in how we interact with media. JK we make one dumb joke about it and move on pretty quick. The new studio cat Missy Elliot continues to be heckin cute/ screws with our recording equipment. oddly enough we both bring in IPAs to try for this episode. Mick brings one in from Vancouver Island brewery Moon Under Water, and Tristan snags an IPA from Aslan Brewing from Washington State. For our album introspective we listen to the epileptic and french as hell 2008 album by Mr. Ozio, Lamb's Anger. our film pick for the week is the deeply affecting and nerve wracking drama You Were Never Really Here. New and noteworthy music from Vetiver & Fruit Bats, Solange (yes!), Shiro Schwartz, and Stella Donnelly. Follow the show on IG and Facebook for more content and write ups. Subscribe on iTunes to stay update on all the episodes. Search Beats On Repeat on Apple Music for all our EP playlists. Thanks for listening and have a great day!
Welcome to EP24- The Jack Bauer episode! Errr... maybe not? In this episode Pete The Cat is still a little terrified of his new room mate. Tristan throws some typical hipster doofus shade at The Oscars. Mick's bday week celebration continues, there's pineapples! For our album introspective we unpack the myriad confessional layers of Tyler The Creator's surprisingly earnest 2017 album Flower Boy. For movie time with Tristan and Mick we watch the vividly eye popping- and with a heart of gold- 2006 film The Fall. New and Noteworthy music from Empath, Stef Chura, Benny Sings, and Bjarki. As always, if you like what you hear subscribe on iTunes and don't forget to toss out a rating. To listen to all the tracks we discuss in this episode search Beats On Repeat in Apple Music for all our ep playlists. For more content from the show follow us on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks for listening and have a great day!
Hello friends! Welcome to EP23 of the show! In this round we celebrate the addition of our new studio cat, Missy Elliott, and she's a real gem. We recorded on a dreadful snowy Monday so we were fortunate to have a couple Double IPAs from Superflux brewing to keep us warm. Our album introspective was the debut album by Father John Misty, 2012's Fear Fun. Mick and Tristan debate what all of the Hunter S Thompson-esque narcotic antiques really means, and have a heck of a time doing it. As our last couple film picks have been focused on some real world stress and anxiety we switched back over to some Sci Fi action with the 1987 Schwarzenegger classic, The Running Man- and oh ya it's just as good as you remembered (well sort of). New and noteworthy music from Men I Trust, Kid Koala, Jamila Woods, and Girlpool. As always check out all the tracks we play in the show on our Apple Music playlist. Be sure to subscribe on iTunes to stay up to date with the show, and rate us while you're at it- we crave feed back! For more content from the show find us on Instagram and Facebook. Happy listening!
Ok friendos EP22 is up! In this round we talk about our recent experience seeing Snail Mail at The Imperial (it was fun!) Mick explains the difference between a traditional pale ale and a fresh hoped ale while Tristan is mildly awe struck at the label of our beer pick this week, The Return Of The Simcoe by Gigantic Brewery in Portland. Our album pick is Solange's remarkable 2016 release A Seat At The Table. For movie time with Tristan and Mick we watch the 1992 classic Glengarry Glen Ross, and oh man is there a lot of swearing in it. New and Noteworthy music from Dabrye, Little Simz, Jeff Tweedy, and Sharon Van Etten. We break out one of our best Simpsons's references yet in this episode and Tristan explains what the best gin to shoot straight is- which is sadly not nearly as hypothetical as it sounds. Be sure to check out our EP22 Apple Music playlist to listen to all the tracks in this episode (except for one Beyonce track we played because we forgot she's on tidal- oops). Subscribe to the show on iTunes to stay up to date on the show and give us a rating while you're at it. For more content from the show, follow us on Facebook and Instagram- we have pictures of Pete The Cat there! Thanks for all you're support and happy listening!
Ok friendos let's do EP21- it's a grand time! In this round we ring in the year 2019 by... doing pretty much the same thing as always- crack open a beer. We try out the Duex Amis Saison by Coal Harbour Brewing, but not before Tristan spills half of it on Mickey's floor. Pete the Cat was there to clean it up at least. For our album introspective we listened to the punishing, aberrant, intoxicating masterpiece of an electronic album- I Care Because You Do by the legendary Aphex Twin. If that album seems dauntingly complex and unintelligible, our film pick isn't much easier to parse through. We watched the 2015 release The Big Short. Mickey tries to sort through the complex circumstances that broke the global economy as depicted in the film, while Tristan just gets inconsolably angry. New and noteworthy by Priests (YES!), Connan Mockasin, Amen Dunes, and Ralph. Tristan makes a wicked Principal Skinner reference and Mickey is not impressed; maybe you will be! Thanks for listening and if you like be sure to subscribe and rate us on iTunes. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook while you are it and check out our EP21 Apple Music playlist to listen to all the tracks we featured this round. Thanks pals!
Alright crew EP20 is up! can't believe we made it this far. To celebrate Micky picked a real heck of a beer. We try a beer from Brossard, Quebec brewery Les Trois Mousquetaries- the Grande Cuvee Porter Baltique Lager Noire. For our Album introspective we take a deep dive into the world encompassing, culturally aggrandizing, and politically complicated 2007 record, KALA by M.I.A. There's a lot to talk about in this album and not of all the themes or intents are clear cut leading to a myriad of ways to interpret KALA, but we try! speaking of a dizzying array of styles, we watch the chaotic, and visually overwhelming 2001 anime Metropolis. Listen to our thoughts to find out which classic video game that's near and dear to Tristan's heart has some shared DNA with Metropolis. For new and noteworthy we listen to Jon Hopkins, Leifur James, Little Dragon, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Make sure you subscribe and rate us on iTunes. Follow on Instagram and Facebook for more content from the show. Check out our Apple Music page for the EP20 playlist. And thanks so much for all your support so far- Let's do 20 more episodes!
In this episode we mix things up a little with a guest co host. Hearing Tristan and Mick drone on and on can get a bit stale so friend of the show Kasha Toolsee swings by the studio to teach the boys a thing or two about music and film. Kasha is local Van City DJ and works in film so she know's her stuff. To mark the occasion we have not one, not three, but two beers from Field House Brewing. Our album pick is the 2016 release Friends and Lovers by Argentinian psych punk pop rockers Las Kellies. For our film introspective we examine the 1999 directorial debut from Sofia Coppola- The Virgin Suicides. Thank goodness Kasha was there to help Tristan and Mick navigate this one as- just at the movie implies- sometimes boys are just ill equipped to figure certain things out. New and Noteworthy music from Kaytranada, Grimes, and Ian Sweet. Check out our playlist of all the tracks we feature on the episode on our Apple Music profile. for more content from the show find us on Instagram and Facebook. Don't forget to subscribe and rate us on iTunes. Happy listening!
In this episode Mick and Tristan talk about their recent experience at The Mr Twin Sister show at The Biltmore. Tristan met Andrea Estella and died just a little, and Mick drank 2 (TWO!) non alch beers- madness! Tristan is convinced the new 33 Acres tasting room is a riff off of Kramer's apartment from Seinfeld (levels, Jerry!) and it turns out Mick speaks French- who knew! Our beer pick for this episode is a brew from Mick's past as as traveling Vagabond/merc for hire- The Rogue Ales Morimoto Soba Ale straight out of Portland, Oregon. Our album introspective is from indie folk hippies Blind Pilot; their 2008 debut Three Rounds And A Sound. If the disposition of that album is a little too sunny and optimistic, don't worry because our film pick is the oppressively sinister high concept sci fi noir thriller Dark City. New and noteworthy music from Mr Twin Sister, Marie-Pierre Arthur, Low, and Chilly Gonzales. Be sure to check out our Apple Music EP18 playlist for all of our featured tracks. Subscribe and rate on iTunes to feed our desperate need for attention. For more content from the show find us on Instagram and Facebook. Happy listening!
In this episode we check out a beer from legendary Oregan Craft Brewey Breakside. We try their Lunch Break Session IPA and try to figure out ff that's the same thing as a straight up ISA- results are inconclusive! Our album pick is the goth pop punk rollercoaster of an album Lose All Time by Abbotsford's very own You Say Party! We Say Die! For movie time we pick Jonathan Glazer's directorial debut, Sexy Beast, with a seminal and shocking performance by Ben Kingsley. For new and noteworthy we listen to tracks by Toro Y Moi, Empress Of, Chasity Belt, and Still Corners. Mick turns the whole operation into a Phil Collins fan club briefly and Tristan melts his brain a touch trying to figure the best Simpsons Character (Poochie?). Typical day at the office, really. All of of the tracks we feature are on our EP17 Apple Music Playlist. Subscribe and rate us on iTunes and we'll say nice things about you forever. For more content from the show find us on instagram and Facebook. Now go listen!
In this episode Mick and Tristan face the debilitating realization that summer is long gone and we will soon have to start drinking IPAs and Stouts- But First! We try a refreshing ginger beer from our pals at Phillips Brewing. Our album introspective is the precision based new wave amalgam from Swedish indie rockers The Mary Onettes. Listen along as the give us a glimpse into the brighter and popper side of Sweden. That all ends real quick when we explore the dark and debilitating underbelly of Sweden with dense and traumatic 2011 remake of The Girl With Dragon Tattoo. Anyone that's seen the film will understand that things get... awkward. New and noteworthy music from The Marias, Fucked Up (guard your ears), Aeroplane, and Jesse Ware. Mick brings up Phil Collins twice- TWICE!- and Tristan crashes and burns real hard on the three questions this week. Check out all the tracks we feature on our Apple Music playlist. Don't forget to like and Subscribe on iTunes. For more content from the show follow us on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks doggos!
Ok friends EP15 is up and it's a real gooder! In this episode Tristan is still super pumped about the recent Big Thief show at The Imperial. Mick is going easy on the beer these days so we just went with one brewery this week. We check out the Comfortably Chum Hefeweizen from Mount Arrowsmith Brewing. Our album Introspective is the glossy and insular Pink by seminal electronic producer Four Tet. We check out the 2006 masterpiece Pans Labyrinth for our movie pick and have a heck of a time piecing together the meaning of it all. Mickey goes old school with a great reference to 'In The Studio With' interviews and Tristan sneaks in one of his all time favourite Seinfeld references. New and noteworthy music from Noname, Christine and the Queens, TOPS and a rad as all heck track from Nite Jewel. find all of our featured tracks on our Apple Music playlist for the episode. Subscribe and rate us on iTunes. For more content from the show follow us on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks dudes!
In this episode Tristan is still very much in recovery mode from a weekend of Westward Festival. He's a frail shell of himself- even more than usual. Meanwhile Mick is almost completely off the sauce to the point were even looking at a beer gets him slightly buzzed. So sure lets try some brews this should go well. We check out Back Country Brewing from Squamish and head all the way to Ontario to try Beau's Brewery. Our album introspective is the scathing and sinister trip hop noir self titled album Portishead. In it we examine the themes of how consumerism and capitalism can pervert the nature of art. And speaking of consumerism, Tristan made Mick watch a Tom Cruise movie! We watched the time looping 2014 flick Edge Of Tomorrow and did not hate it. New and noteworthy music from Com Truise (not a typo), Yves Tumor (still spelling it right), Blood Orange and Cloud Nothings. Check out our playlist for all featured tracks on Apple Music and subscribe on iTunes. For more form the show follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Have a great day!
In this episode we assault your senses just a little right off the bat with the incendiary and manic track 'Ain't It Funny' By Danny Brown. If you can make it through that we've got a heck of a show for you. As we say goodbye to summer we sneak a couple more sours in. We try a real gem from Main Street Brewing and a gorgeous rarity from Four Winds. Our album introspective is the stunningly ambitious synth rock epic Currents by Tame Impala. We asses how the P.T. Anderson classic Punch Drunk Love represents mental illness, social anxiety, and modern romance. Also, there's pudding! Tristan pulls hard for UK music this time around with new music from Tirzah and Disclosure. Mick throws out some love for Canadian artists Chad VanGaalen and Adam Robert Thomas. Find all of the tracks we feature on our EP 13 playlist on Apple Music. As always find more content form the show on instagram and facebook, and don't forget to subscribe on iTunes. Fun fact- the show is far more enjoyable if you drink a beer while you listen. Give it a try. Not if you're driving! Thanks mates!
In this episode we try the Raven's Corvus Sour and the Townsite Brewing Kathaumixw Pale Ale. Both worlds apart in flavour and style so it was a good mix. Our album introspective is the iconic Talking Heads album Speaking in Tongues. The Movie pick was the beautiful, if glacial sic fi flick Annihilation. New and noteworthy music from Brave Shores, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Aphex Twin and Mitski. As always subscribe and comment on iTunes, like and follow us onFacebook and Instagram and check out our Apple Music playlist for all of the tracks we cover in this episode. In this episode we crack open a classic by Unibroue, the Blanche De Chambly and try out an old fashion bourbon ale from Strathcona Brewing. Our album introspective is the brooding, disaffected, and deeply nocturnal release from Vancouver locals, The Organ, called Grab That Gun. Its a record Tristan has loved for years but the first time listening for Mick. Our film pick this week is one of Mick's favourites, the cringe worthy awkward rom com Eagle Vs Shark. New and noteworthy music from Mr Twin Sister, Cigarettes After Sex, Denzel Curry, and Daniel Caesar. Mick tries out his New Zealand accent (it's pretty good!) and Tristan laments that young millennials have all the best words. All of our featured music from the episode is up on our Apple Music playlist. For more content from the show check out our Instagram and Facebook. We try to decode the bizarre and exotic language behind Of Montreal's 2005 release The Sunlandic Twins and do our best to interpret the ending of No Country For Old Men. New and noteworthy music from Men I Trust, The Internet, Soft Hair and Dirty Projectors. Find all the music we talk about this week in our EP 10 playlist on Apple Music. Album of the week is the 2014 abstract jazz fusion hip hop work You're Dead by California producer Flying Lotus and its a sonic beat down, in a good way. For our album introspective we peel back all the layers on the 2016 release Freetown Sound by Blood Orange. Our film pick this time around is the dark comedy- if you can even call it that- The Lobster. Is it a grand metaphor for how we define self worth, or does it merely want to highlight just how much dating sucks? For whats new and exciting we've got releases from Glass Animals, Skee Mask, Theives Like Us and The Juan Maclean. If you like what you hear you can listen to all the tracks on our EP7 Apple Music playlist. And go buy the music! For more content from the show find us on Facebook and Instagram. Thanks mates!
