Welcome to 2024! On this week's episode of Domestic Pints ONLY, we were happy to be joined by Curtis (John's co-host of The Seat Struck Movie Podcast), making his long awaited return. For this episode, we checked back on COLLECTIVE ARTS BREWING to discuss another lineup of tasty beverages. First up was the super low ABV 'BEYOND REASON' micro IPA. Next up was the optimal breakfast beer, the DAILY FORECAST: MIMOSA. Last was more domestic-styled COLLECTIVE LAGER. Along the way, Curtis and John recapped their night at House of Targ; discussed goldfish as pets; talked about mimosas; and had a brief chat on farting. We are men of multitudes. Stay tuned for another episode coming next week (including a bonus solo ep that will be dropping soon)! Collective Arts Brewing Hazy State is a Session IPA by style. This hugely flavourful, yet still extremely sessionable Double Dry-Hopped IPA made with 16 grams per litre of Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic and Centennial hops. Citrus and Tropical fruit notes dominate, but is also balanced with a smooth body that makes this one super easy drinking IPA. This craft beer is 4.1% ABV. In this craft beer review, we will take a look at the color, smell, and taste.
If you've ever travelled around North America (or Europe for that matter) and entered a store that sells craft beer, it's almost a certainty that you've seen Collective Arts' bright and funky can art in the fridge. Cee hung out with Co-Founder Matt Johnston and Head Brewer Ryan Morrow to get the full Collective story, including their humble beginnings as a contract brewery, how they started in Hamilton and became the first local brewery in the Hammertown renaissance, their approach to their beers, why exporting is so key and opening their Toronto brewpub. We crushed their Rhythm Bone Czech Lager, Good Monster DNEIPA, Daily Forecast: Mimosa and Origins of Darkness Imperial Stout with Garage Project. Cheers! I was in Hamilton, Ontario and had to go check out Collective Arts Brewing to see what all the fuss is about - and now I get what all the fuss is about! After a tour of the facility, I met up with TK to learn more about her journey that brought her to Collective Arts. She describes the culture that they have created and what makes them unique. Their passion for sharing artists' stories is inspiring. As a beer lover, thankfully this passion goes into the beer and spirits they produce too!“We highlight people first - always. Beer labels have provided a platform for illustrators, graphic designers, musicians and social causes. We chat with Collective Arts Brewing Co-Founder Bob Russell about how they're using beer as a vehicle to promote the arts. You can read more about this episode at FloraBrewing.com/Podcast or subscribe to the Substack: BrewingAfterHours.Substack.com for updates straight to your inbox! For podcast updates, behind the scenes content, brewing tutorials and beer reviews follow Sarah Flora on Instagram at @Flora_Brewing, subscribe to the Flora Brewing YouTube Channel or sign up for her Patreon for ad-free content, merch and lots more!Privacy Policy and California Privacy Notice.

Skye Sweetnam & Matt Drake of Sumo Cyco & I have a conversation about how they coped with 2020, their 1st brews, just the right amount of alcohol, the soundtrack of their youths, their 1st shows, dropping "Initiation" during a pandemic, why they haven't done a Livestream, filling the void, misogynistic elitists, a Sumo Cyco brew & their hangover cure. During this interview, Skye was drinking Collective Arts Brewing's "Circling the Sun" the craft cider & Matt was enjoying Collective Arts Brewing x Soundbox Productions x The OBGMs "Audio/Visual Lager". I had the pleasure of drinking Lagabière's "Florilège" the Blended Sour with Hibiscus, pink pepper & ginger. It poured out with a gorgeous light red veil, slapped earthy & wild vibes on the nose, smashed a tart, sweet & tangy finish & clocked in with a 4.6% ABV. This week we have a postcard from Canada as we catch up with brewer Matt Hennessy who's currently brewing with Collective Arts Brewing in Hamilton, Ontario. Matt is a podcast listener and sometimes correspondent, and so I was keen to catch up with him to find out how he came to be in Canada, but also to learn a little more about Canada's brewing and drinking culture, which is a little hard to divine from a distance. The long delayed sci-fi film from James Gray, AD ASTRA, finally hit the multiplexes last weekend. The guys weigh in on this endlessly intriguing film. The PICK SIX this week ranks the best FILMS SET IN INDIANA. It's our home state. We had to cross this off the list at some point. DISCLAIMER: At one point during the PICK SIX segment we experience some echo/feedback that continues throughout the rest of the episode. Many apologies, and we hope it doesn't distract too much from the enjoyment of this really, really fun episode. We won't let it happen again. The latest listener commissioned THROWBACK CHALLENGE is quite the doozy. Andy's long-awaited wish to see Paul Schrader's MISHIMA: A LIFE IN FOUR CHAPTERS is granted, and Noah gets a chance to sit down with Claude Chabrol's LA CEREMONIE. These were very fun films to chat about. Andy is enjoying Jam Up The Mash by Collective Arts Brewing, while Noah sips on Krombacher's Non-Alcoholic brew. Prost! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-film-harmonic/support
