Paul Kolodzik, MD is board-certified by both the American Board of Preventive Medicine and the American Board of Emergency Physicians. In his thirty-year emergency room career, he has cared for many patients in crises and witnessed firsthand the failures of mainstream diets and the medical system, which prioritizes medications and surgery over diet and lifestyle changes to prevent and reverse disease. In his metabolic health practice, Dr. Kolodzik uses continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), previously used only by diabetics, to help his patients achieve weight loss and improved health.   In his recently published book, The Continuous Glucose Monitoring Revolution, Dr. Kolodzik shares how he has helped thousands of patients lose weight, and prevent and reverse metabolic diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol, prediabetes, GERD, sleep apnea, fatty liver disease and others using CGM. In this book, he presents a comprehensive program for metabolic health success using CGMs.   Dr. Kolodzik graduated from the University of Notre Dame and completed medical school and residency at Wright State University where he served as chief resident. He is a founding member of the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners.   Learn more about Dr. Kolodzik and how he helps his patients lose weight, reverse disease, and improve health at www.metabolicmds.com. After battling eating disorders for 31 years, being hospitalized multiple times, and trying every diet and/or weight loss gimmick under the sun, she found herself at 309 pounds, her heaviest weight ever. Chronic depression led Jessyca into almost total isolation, and she rarely left the house. She finally reached a breaking point: her blood pressure was so high that she was in danger of serious health complications, and she could no longer even walk around the house without feeling exhausted. Knowing that she had achieved a measure of success on low carb diets before- as long as she stuck to it, that is- she decided she had to do something to regain her health, and committed to beginning a low carb lifestyle again. Finding the Ketovangelist website and Facebook page is something Jessyca continues to be thankful for. As she read and researched more, and finally began eating keto, Jessyca learned that this lifestyle was very different than the low carb diets of old. For the first time in her life, she was free from the cravings and food obsessions that had plagued her since age 11. The Ketogenic lifestyle gave her recovery; freeing her from obsessive counting and weighing that goes hand-in-hand with the unhealthy "dieting" mentality. Not only is she down 120 lbs. so far, her blood pressure is also excellent. In addition, she no longer a needs medications for anxiety and bladder disease, and has ceased her weekly migraine shots. Jessyca spent the last ten months coaching and mentoring friends, family, and members of her community for success on the Ketogenic lifestyle. Her entire family is living keto, and they are happier and healthier than ever before. Jessyca is passionate about sharing her story and teaching others who may benefit from making the jump to a Ketogenic lifestyle. She believes in keeping keto simple, where food can take it's proper place as fuel and not as a burden or an obsession, making this a truly sustainable lifestyle change.

How did a professional comedian become a fitness expert? Like most natural health experts, T.C. Hale (aka Tony Hale) began his career in stand-up comedy. Touring professionally as a comic for nearly a decade, he never envisioned that he would one day teach the world how to sleep, poop, and even lose weight. On Valentine’s Day, 2004, Tony lost his voice and it never came back. After twenty-three doctors couldn’t figure out the problem, Tony decided it was time to dig for his own answers. Eight years later, not only did Tony figure out his own issues, he also happened upon hidden information about how to improve countless other health problems. Though Tony likes to boast about the fact that he holds no legitimate credentials (nor does he believe that we need any more “experts” from the same pool of knowledge already failing so many with health issues), he is greatly respected by his peers in the natural health industry. The biggest manufacturers in the health, fitness and organic products industries send Tony their products every year in hopes of winning one of his GearAwards. Beyond working with many celebrity clients, Tony is on the executive board of the Coalition For Health Education, a nonprofit association that helps professionals and their clients learn about health through nutrition. Additionally, Tony teaches monthly webinars about nutrition to doctors, nutritionists and other health care professionals from more than thirty-five countries. You can also find Tony producing documentaries like, WHY AM I SO FAT? A film that teaches the truth about weight loss while showcasing Tony’s client, Gabe Evans, who lost 200 pounds in 9 ½ months by treating Tony’s word as gospel.     www.KickItNaturally.com www.KickItNaturally.com/ketodigest www.chatthefat.com

I had the great opportunity to interview Danny Vega about Optimizing a Keto Lifestyle. Danny and his wife Maura have the blog and podcast the Fat Fueled Family. Danny grew up in Miami, Florida and has always been interested in nutrition and fitness. Ever since he was a young kid, he wanted to be a “strong man”.  In high school, he was the starting running back for my football team and led the county in rushing yards. He then went on to receive my bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in 2004, where I was a member of the football team and a three-time Dean’s List recipient. After college, he pursued my Master’s of Science in Human Performance from the University of Florida, where he worked with the national championship men’s basketball team, along with women’s basketball, tennis, and golf programs. He then went on to become the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for VCU basketball, helping the Rams win the 2007 conference championship and making it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.  He had been out of collegiate Strength & Conditioning for almost a decade, but I have continued to compete in sports such as Crossfit, powerlifting, half marathons, and now rowing. In June of 2016, he discovered the ketogenic lifestyle and never looked back. He found so many benefits within a week of switching, that I knew this would be my new way of life. Inflammation and injuries from years of playing on turf and beating myself up with heavy lifting were gone. He regained control over my hunger and found mental clarity and an increase in productivity that he had never experienced before. In August of 2017, after over a year of dipping his toes in the water, his two boys joined us.  Desmond, his oldest, felt an immediate increase in energy and improvement in his allergies and asthma. Dean, his youngest, has had astounding improvements in his eczema and mood. Our children are immune to cravings. It has been an amazing thing to see. He thought his kids were “picky” just like most kids supposedly are; keto changed their taste buds and now they crave real, nourishing food like the recipes you will find on this PDF. Best of all, they do not feel restricted in any way! He understands that transitioning the family can be challenging, Danny and Maura, Danny’s wife, hope his blog help you conveniently transition your entire family to a low carb lifestyle so that you, too, can experience all of the profound benefits we have!

Debbie Potts shares her personal story of her struggle with chronic stress and fatigue from living life as a race that put her triathlon and running career on hold. Learn about the domino effect of chronic stress on the WHOLE you from the inside out. Learn from Debbie's experience! Voted one of the “Top One Hundred Personal Trainers in the U.S.” by Men’s Journal, trainer, health coach, and triathlete, Debbie Potts, shares her personal story about living life as a race each day until she found herself struggling to stay awake, sidelined with muscle fatigue on her training workouts, and suddenly gaining thirty pounds. Debbie had to take a step back, assess her life, and figure out what it was causing her to be tired, sick, and overweight. Throughout LIFE IS NOT A RACE, you’ll discover the need to eliminate the belief that more is better in every aspect of your life or else you will pay the consequences on your body. Learn what Debbie discovered through her own health challenges and how she transformed her life from the inside out and created The WHOLESTIC Method from her experience, as well as observations about how our society encourages the glorification of being busy rather than living life as a journey… and being fully present to enjoy it. Debbie Potts is the owner of Fitness Forward Studio in Bellevue, Washington, the creator of The WHOLESTIC Method, as well as the host of The WHOLE Athlete health and fitness podcast. Debbie has been in the fitness industry for twenty-five years as a trainer, coach, and athlete including being nominated as one of the Top One Hundred Personal Trainers in 2004 and 2005 by Men's Journal. Brenda has been a yo-yo dieter her entire adult life…until now. In 2009, she reached out for help at her highest known weight of 407 pounds. In the spring of 2010, she had weight loss surgery, which took her to maintain at ~290 pounds after the honeymoon period of weight loss her surgeon described had ended. During the winter of 2016, Brenda nearly passed out in the store. Her doctor ordered several tests, including one which resulted in her being identified as prediabetic. At that time, her doctor suggested considering a Paleo diet, an anti-inflammatory diet, or an Atkins diet. She began researching and found the Ketogains-style approach to the ketogenic diet, which is basically a blend of the other three. She began her ketogenic portion of her journey in the spring of 2016. After six months on the diet, she was no longer prediabetic.Brenda’s passion for strength training is a direct result of her experience in Ketogains boot camps with Luis, Tyler, and Zach. She’d never lifted prior to enrolling in one and was extremely intimidated and overwhelmed her first day in the gym, BUT she went back and has kept going. She has participated in back-to-back camps, first as a client and now as a coach. She is certified by the National Council on Strength and Fitness as a personal trainer and is preparing to enroll in the Bayesian Bodybuilding course. Brenda has degrees in mathematics, computer science, and educational administration. She works full time as an instructional coach. She has a passion for educating and empowering people to find the courage within to risk trying something new and push beyond their comfort zones to achieve levels they didn’t know were within reach. If you think making nutritious homemade foods from scratch takes too much time or costs too much money, you need to know about this.    My colleague, Sarica Cernohous, wife and mother, practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and author of The Funky Kitchen, is hosting a FREE webinar on March 3rd, where she'll reveal her favorite tips and tricks for making delicious,  homemade meals using traditional food preparation techniques in less than 30 minutes a day.   Sarica explains how it’s not enough to shop for healthy food at the supermarket, or even the natural foods' store. The next step to truly vibrant health is to prepare that food in ways that make it easy to digest and absorb the most nutrients.    It’s easier than you think. Sarica will dispel the common myths and show you exactly how to get started preparing nutrient-dense foods just like your great-grandmother did.    Your family is going to love this.    Register and reserve your spot for this complimentary training now:   https://fo216.isrefer.com/go/fkf/SHolbrook   Imagine coming home from a busy day to a house that smells divine with a warm, home-cooked meal.     Imagine the vibrancy you and your family would feel, eating nutritious meals that contain ingredients you choose—rather than what is dictated by food manufacturers and takeout restaurants, where their first concern is costs and the bottom line—not your health!     Imagine creating meals in less time than it takes to stop in at the deli counter at the grocery store or sitting in your car for takeout—and at a fraction of the cost.     Imagine the energy and clarity you would feel, eating truly nutritious foods regularly, to fuel your body in a way that shake mixes, energy bars, boxed, canned and frozen foods can never match.     This can be your life when you learn Sarica’s 3 secrets of creating wholesome, homemade foods in much less time than you would imagine.   And these methods save money, too!    I can’t think of anything more basic and powerful than fueling our bodies at every meal with real foods, made with nourishing ingredients—this is foundational to all other efforts we do for ourselves and our families.     Do yourself a favor and reserve your spot on this free training now.  https://fo216.isrefer.com/go/fkf/SHolbrook
