It can be a struggle to continually set oneself apart from the sea of service providers in the transformation space. Tapping into both human design and gene keys can tell you how you should deliver your work to the world. Ultimately, human design is about experimenting. It's the science of differentiation. Tune in to this new power-packed episode of the Conscious Marketer podcast — Human Design Marketing & the Science of Being Unique with Bree Kuryk. ▶️ Key points covered in this episode: [08:22] Bree Kuryk shares her breakthrough story of coming from corporate America, and how she lived through a long career overcoming the crisis of conscience. She teaches how unlocking one's human design and gene keys is what truly creates the best strategy for your business - by knowing yourself FIRST and BEST. [15:07] Don't respond to the pressure of not being omnipresent enough. As small business owners and marketers, we understand the need why we should be on every social platform and be everywhere our customers are. But forcing our efforts into this can be futile according to Bree. Simply put, you can only do what you do best when you focus on the few, yet most effective channels, rather than trying to show up haphazardly everywhere. [22:27] No one-size-fits-all rule works for everyone. Human design is truly a tool that equips people to understand themselves better. Bree's coaching comes in more than the consulting work by digging questions into what entrepreneurs frequently misperceive as their mistakes or failures. [37:17] Conscious marketers can really hate marketing. It can be terrifying as many have been traumatized by some experience within their business or in their lives where they've dealt with sketchy marketing or salespeople who may have annoyed, forced, or hurt them. It doesn't have to be that way forever, and they can successfully overcome or get past some of that trauma by finding ways to make marketing more fun and playful. [39:59] If you always take things so seriously, that's a recipe for stagnating creativity according to Bree. Whether it's drawing or coloring, try something new. It will get you into that place of joy and play because, ultimately, that's where the best creativity comes from.
The Chorus again emphasizes the simple and yet extraordinary impact of our existence, which far surpass effects of "doing" in the five senses alone. This time they suggest that human awakening is a shift that will naturally beget shifts by other civilizations around us. Katie retells a powerful experience she had on "the fringe," and how another way of looking at stepping into the present moment is an embrace of our uniqueness. In this place, often extraordinary things become real. How can we navigate our way to that presence? Curiosity holds a key...Enjoy!Episode transcript available on our site. Yesterday I spoke about what it means to Uncopyable and how when we identify unique elements about who we are – no one can copy you. In today's tip, I want to speak about two of those and in tomorrow's tip – I'll share two more. Today, I want to talk about your Characteristics (or character traits) and Mannerisms. Your characteristics are your distinguishing features and qualities. Your mannerisms – are a group of verbal or other unconscious habitual behaviors that are particular to you. In fact – your mannerisms can bring out your character. For instance, a confident person (which could be a character of confidence) can be brought to life by maintaining eye contact when you speak. Walking upright with your head held higher can also exude the character of confidence. The opposite mannerism that brings out the character of being shy and/or reserved, could be speaking softly, head tilted downward, avoiding eye contact. Some other character traits could be honest, brave, bold, compassionate, lead, courageous, loyal. So, today, take some time to reflect on some of your unique characteristics and mannerisms and write them down in your Take Action Guide. And, then come back for tomorrow's tip where I'll be sharing two more unique and uncopyable elements that make you YOU and that no-one else can copy. Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original. How do we release comparisons and enjoy who we are and we can find the gifts we have that are uniquely ours.

This is the audio track for the talk I did for www.bcaed.com on October 4th, 2018 at Northview Golf Course. The talk is called "Being Unique in a Cookie Cutter World" and it is aimed at helping people understand how to build trust, add value and stop being viewed as a commodity. One note: Payne Stewart did not win the Air Canada Championship, that was my mistake.
Camille Sanzone assures us that we are UNIQUE and that by owning what makes us DIFFERENT, we can MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of others, and BECOME HEROES in our own lives. She says it is better to be unique than perfect, and she reminds us that even Dr. Seuss said: "Be who YOU are and say what YOU feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” Another episode of “feel-good” radio!
