His journey into DJing began around 2006, inspired by watching other DJs perform at the legendary H2O club. Driven by this newfound passion, he invested in his own equipment and started playing at birthdays and village parties in local cafés. Over time, Michael transitioned to more prestigious venues, showcasing his talent at iconic locations such as Time, Lotus, Vertigo, XS Club, and the Groovy Day Festival. In 2020, he achieved a major milestone by becoming a resident DJ at Club 386 La Terrazza. During the Covid pandemic, when live music was heavily impacted, Michael and a few friends co-founded the DJ collective "La TLF" to keep the music alive through live-streamed performances. Today, "La TLF" remains highly active, performing in popular dance bars like Kfé Plaisant, Bistrot Track, Kraken, and Sparrow. With his energy and passion, Michael "Pit" Dappremée has solidified his place as a prominent figure in the Belgian electronic music scene. 🎧🎧 LINKS 🎧🎧 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mic.dapp Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michael_dpe Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/michaeldappremee/ 🎧🎧 ALL PODCAST ARE ALSO ONLINE HERE : 🎧🎧 👉ITUNES: https://podcasts.apple.com/be/podcast/groovegsus-livesets/id513117071?l=fr 👉SOUNDCLOUD: https://soundcloud.com/groovegsus/sets/radio-show-groovegsus-friends 👉DEEZER: https://www.deezer.com/en/show/3401932 👉PLAYER FM: https://player.fm/series/groovegsus-livesets
In this episode, our heroes come to the realisation that with dear Kyle moving to the ol' USA and dear Rob's doing whatever weird shit it is he does, that time between the two lads is now at a premium. 2manypodcasts is coming to an end. Will it last forever? Nobody knows. So for legal, moral and convenience reasons the line is "we're going on a hiatus" - much like The Thrills - who should actually never reform. They began the podcast as a protest that there's too many (and usually really shit) podcasts. So they decided not to help and add one more because there is too many podcasts and call it 2manypodcasts, which for those of you who aren't familiar is a play on the Belgian DJ duo 2manydjs. Who are actually deadly. For Belgians anyways (which isn't a real country). So of all the interesting little bits - q&a's, ChipAdvisor (a review of chips - or fries as they say in the Dakotas), and general shenanigans, it was a genuinely intriguing listen for the average layman. So much so, the podcast was officially (at one point anyways) the 37th most popular podcast in Ireland of the improv comedy genre. Is that good? Kyle and dear Rob certainly hope not. Stop listening to podcasts basically, will youse? So thank you to all of the dear listeners, a couple thousand of you no less, and all our guests - from Johnny Spillz to the bloke from the Arctic Monkeys, dear Kyle and Rob mon cherie thank you and for now, our heroes bid you adieu, or whatever it is people say to be fancy. 2manypodcasts is on hiatus as of now. Will our heroes say "Kyle, we're back" again? Maybe, baby. Maybe.

Episode 71 Contemporary Electronic Dance Music After doing my previous podcast about the vintage roots of electronic dance music, I said to myself, why not an episode featuring some examples of EDM as it stands today? Collected here are sixteen examples from fourteen artists of what I call more extreme electronic dance music sounds. These tracks all share a few characteristics, as outlined in the last episode. These characteristics are the use of electronic sound sources, especially types that are easily programmed and operated in a live situation; music that is beat-driven and generally sparse on lyrics; a heavy reliance on repetition patterns and textures while preserving a spot for the artist to display some solo musicianship. The soloing may in fact come from manipulating various controls and buttons, or it may come from a more overtly inserted musical passage played on a keyboard, all to inject a touch of personal expression to the automation. Here is a selection of tracks from around the globe, showing how EDM has become somewhat culturally agnostic. Playlist Chris & Cosey, “Fantastique” from Muzik Fantastique! The Belgian DJ, musician, producer and composer Henri Peiffer aka Henri PFR is taking over the Tomorrowland Friendship Mix! Brussels-based Henri, who released his debut at 14, caught the ear of both the public and his peers. He scored a worldwide club hit "Tarida" in 2014, which was released on Armin van Buuren's label. Apart from his busy touring schedule and his various releases on labels such as Warner and Sony, this young talented producer has already had the opportunity to collaborate with none other than Robin Schulz and Lost Frequencies and has already performed several times at the Holy Grounds of Tomorrowland.
Belgian DJ & producer Felix de Laet, also known as Lost Frequencies, takes over the Tomorrowland Friendship Mix, Made in Belgium edition. The wonder boy and producer of the worldwide hit ‘Where Are You Now' together with Callum Scott, is back at One World Radio with his magical sound.
The entire week, Tomorrowland is taking you back ‘Down Memory Lane’ to the iconic year of 2012 – when the first magnificent chapter in the Book of Wisdom was written. As part of this special week, Tomorrowland veteran Yves V is curating this week’s Tomorrowland Friendship Mix – paying homage to one of the most iconic years in the history of Tomorrowland with his exclusive 31-track selection. The Belgian DJ kicked off 2021 with his track ‘Echo’ and recently released his second production of the year ‘Dernière Danse’. Back in 2012, Yves V’s ‘CloudBreaker’ was a real crowd favorite with thousands of People of Tomorrow dancing to it in front of the spectacular Book of Wisdom Mainstage. The Belgian superstar has now included legendary 2012 anthems like ‘Cloudbreaker’, ‘Enter My World’ and ‘Arkadia’ in his special mix, as well as a bunch of other iconic tracks from that year. Think David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Calvin Harris, Avicii, Icana Pop, Dirty South, Otto Knows, Dada Life, Eric Prydz and many more… The perfect selection to launch you right back into 2012!
Welcome to Episode 53, which starts off slow for once with a little selection of mellow but extremely funky little numbers, before I crank up the pace for some disco house and nu disco mingled in with jazzy stuff, 80s funk and some classic disco. As always it’s a mixed bag, with one eye always firmly on the funk. For hour 2 it’s my pleasure to welcome Belgian DJ and producer Mattijs Van Loy, also known as Mavalo, who brings you a lovely hour of disco flavoured, soulful, housey and exotic beats. Mavalo started DJing in 2015 and quickly scored a residency and festival slots, as well as a set on the main stage of Destino (Pacha Beachclub) in Ibiza. After being a DJ for a couple of years he wanted to explore if he could make his own productions as well. With 'Chocolate' Mavalo had his first official release in June 2020 on ChessBoard Music. Later that year he released his ‘Feet Will Move’ EP on the mighty Midnight Riot Records. Mavalo can be followed on Facebook, Instagram, Bandcamp and Soundcloud. Every month a new mixtape called ‘Recordbox’ is uploaded on Soundcloud in which he presents a fine selection of fresh new tunes. Mavalo doesn't think too much in terms of genres. Far more importantly, the vibe is all that matters to him. However, if a particular style has to be marked, then an energetic mix of Disco House, Jackin' House, Jazzy House and Future Funk would give you a pretty good idea. Show Notes: edmprod.com/149 This week, Maxim Lany sat down to chat on the EDM Prodcast. Maxim Lany is a Belgian DJ and producer currently signed to Armada Music. Breaking out initially as a DJ, Maxim Lany has been building his career in music for nearly two decades with a stream of successful original releases and remixes for artists such as Armin Van Buuren and Lost Frequencies. We start off with Maxim Lany's background, discussing how he initially got his start in music. He explains how he turned his passion for DJing into an actual career, and what prompted him to start working on and releasing original music. He discusses the main lessons he learned from his production mentors, and how he found a balance between a sound that straddles the line between underground and commercial. On the production side, Maxim breaks down his overall philosophy towards writing and producing music. He discusses how he conceptualizes a track then creates it in the DAW, offering advice on how producers can do this with their own music. He also discusses his favorite software and analog tools, how he approaches automation, and his favorite ways to add tension and energy to a track. Later on, Maxim Lany discusses how he and his team have pivoted his trajectory during the pandemic. He discusses how they're approaching marketing and releasing music differently in an effort to adapt to the decrease in shows and increase in streaming. From the man that brought us ‘Where Did You Go? (Summer Love)’ – we have a brand new anthem for the Summer, called ‘Summer Life’! The man in question, Regi (aka DJ Regi aka Regi Penxten). This past weekend (Saturday, 5 October 2019) on the Coca-Cola Top40SA, Carl Wastie called up the Belgian DJ-producer, who happens to spend quite a bit of time in South Africa, to find out about his new single, which features vocals from Jake Reese & OT. During their chat, Regi revealed just how much he loves South Africa - and the Western Cape in particular; as well as the immense pride he felt the first time he heard ‘Where Did You Go? (Summer Love)’ playing on South African radio, explaining that he was driving through Sea Point, tuned in to Kfm 94.5 and all of a sudden, he heard his single. Carl and Regi also spoke about possible collab opportunities for local vocalists on the Belgian's future projects and by the end of the conversation, it sounded like the two had an appointment for the next time Regi is in South Africa.

His entire life he wanted to become an artist. Singing or making music was a dream for him. But when he first heard a dj mixing @ a party (live cd), he knew this was his calling. He started mixing in december of the year 1999. In the beginning he turned hardcore, but after several years he swiched to trance, cause the music felt better. The love 4 trance began with hearing in search of sunrise 1 from dj Tiesto. Now his great examples are: Tiest, Ferry corsten, Paul van Dyk, Andy Moor, Adam white, Armin van Buuren, Markus Shullz, Mike,... , And Last but not least Dj Kenth..... 4 several years he was house dj @ mamaloenika, but this closed down. It still lilves on in our spirit and when the funding is present it will keep on going. He also turned at some small parties from friends and in a few local bars... But now he's gotten big and serious and wants to turn with the big boys... Promoting himself on dj contests all over the country his not waiting his chance to do that but is trying to make something of it. Since 2012 T-mo-T is turning more to the @fter scene... this has affected his style, not that he's playing different, but more selective on he's choise of records. Only the progressive/minimal/deep sound!!! If you have known previous mixes, you will hear a difference. 01 Transcode - Intellect 02 State Prostitute (Rone White& Alessandro Diruggiero remix) 03 Draganeskool - Do What You Do (Luca M Remix) 04 Kaiserdisco - Trip 05 Noir, Haze, Compact Grey & Ron Costa - Around the Bane (Noir Mashup Treatment) 06 Draganeskool - Movime (Rone White & Alessandro Diruggiero Remix) 07 Fabrizio Noll - Back on Track (Original Mix) 08 Dennis Ferrer feat. Tastemaker, selector, curator or “your favourite DJ's favourite DJ” is how Lefto is most often described. Each of those descriptions is nothing if not accurate, and Lefto is one of the few who have indisputably earned those titles. The Belgian DJ and producer is one of the most important tastemakers around the world – perhaps his record collection, over 15,000-strong, has something to do with it – and also one of the most respected. One only has to listen to one of his sets (like his mix for Wild City below) to see why. Firmly rooted in jazz and hip-hop, Lefto cultivated his digging sensibilities while working at Belgium's legendary Music Mania record store in his hometown Brussels. A resident on Belgium's leading radio station Studio Brussel since the 90s, Lefto has been a custodian of sorts for new music, and is always one to look ahead and actively seek out new music from all over the world. Lefto is renowned for his wonderfully eclectic sets – different each time – which seamlessly switch between hip-hop, funk, jazz, house, tropical, future bass, African rhythms and more. His mix for Wild City is no different. Featuring a balance of known and obscure artists from all over the world, with selections from artists like Noname, Kamaal Williams, Kaidi Tatham, Moses Boyd, Joy Orbison and more, the stimulating set starts off with rap and hip-hop, before taking you all over the spectrum, from jazz, tropical and Irish rock to disco, African rhythms and house. It might sound chaotic and haphazard to jump around genres like this, but Lefto switches between sounds and tracks so smoothly whilst maintaining a breezy atmosphere throughout. Next up in Avenue Red 1210 series, where 12 records are played that are 10+ years old, we have Red D AKA Bart Van Neste from Gent, Belgium. Also known as FCL in allegiance with fellow Belgian DJ/producer San Soda, Bart is the owner of We Play House Records and did the 5th episode of the main Avenue Red Podcast series. "Here I present 12 x 12”, all older than 10 years. I took a while to curate this set of records - I finally decided on making a mix of Belgian club classics from the early-to-mid 90's when there were not forests of sub-genres and Trance was not yet a dirty word! So what you're getting is the raw sound of the Belgian underground clubs around 94/95, very much what inspired me to take up DJ'ing more seriously..." Belgian DJ and producer Massimo DaCosta is responsible for episode 8 of the Gangstercast. Since the early 2000's Massimo and production partner Vernon Bara, under the name Vernon&DaCosta, have become one of the most prolific House duo's around with releases for top labels like OM, Yellow, Aroma, Robsoul, Amenti, DIY, AMA Rec, OFF and Icon. In 2010 they launched their own label Homecoming Music working with some of the world's finest underground house producers, and 2013 see's them launch a new alias 'Raw District' torelease their deeper and darker influenced House sound. When he’s not focusing his energy on studio work, Massimo can be found performing quality deep and house sets at his H20 residency in Belgium and all around the world. Massimo says his mix for the Gangstercast is, "a perfect mixture of what I'm feeling and playing at the moment: deep or more punchy house tunes with a fine combination of white soul and black music." As with most of the Gangstercasts there was no huge pre-planning, Massimo just got in the mix and went with the flow. Of the end result he simply says, "I hope people will enjoy the mix as much as I did doing it." Speaking of House music and the I'm A House Gangster movement he adds, "House Music is the only thing that can make you smile when you are all sad or tired. You know what I mean? … IAHG is more a movement than just a musical concept or a label. A lifestyle, a way to express love for true house music and for oldschool street and urban values. It's not about criminals or violence, it's a reaction against bad and crappy mainstream electronic music."
Redhead (BEL) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 22 Pt. 2 Bio: For this Dj and producer, an early started interest for electronic music became a real passion. Kraftwerk, Gary Numan and the new-beat scene were the first big influences on his future career in music. Between ’92 and ’97 he was a resident in a local club called Amnesia. During this period, he learned how to produce music and bought the necessary equipment. Round the same time, he met Marco Bailey and they became co-producers, as well as best friends. A productive and creative team was born. This extraordinary duo released their first record in ’98, on the Forcefield label. Later on followed more products of hard labor and they released on Primate, Session, Kobayashi and many more, in total over 40 records. They are also known under the project name Soulwatcher, with several groundbreaking releases on Primevil and Invasion, for example. In May 2000, RedHead decided to release a solo record. He met the Swedish DJ and label boss Johan Bacto and made his solo-debut on Skunkworks. Later on he released on Zync, Mankind, Session, Compressed. In June 2002 his full album release “Dragon and Sword” came out. His talent was also noticed by Monika Kruse which resulted in a release on her label, Terminal M. Nowadays, he has already released on Mb electronics, North West dynamics, Fine Audio, Primate Endangered Species, to name a few. Besides this he also did some remixes for Fine audio rec., Highland beats, Zync, Invasion, Darkhouse music, Corachi. But this easy going guy is not only talented and well-respected as a producer, as a DJ he was voted 2nd best Belgian DJ by the readers of the respected Out soon magazine, right after his best friend Marco Bailey. He is appreciated for his specific style of djing, going from percussive loop techno to the harder schranz style. He already played in loads of countries all over the world, like Brazil, Japan, Sweden, Malta, Ibiza, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Poland, France, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Germany and Turkey. Well-known international organizations know how to appreciate this excellent turntable-artist and offered him the opportunity to perform in famous clubs like Rex (Paris), Space (Ibiza), Fuse (Brussels), Aloca and Manga Rosa (Sao Paulo), La Salla del Cel (Girona), Maniac Love (Tokyo), Zahlwerk (Vienna) and Faces (Ankara), as well as at big festivals like I Love Techno 2002, I love techno 2003, Nature One in Germany and Rave on snow in Austria. In Belgium, he’s one of the residents at the popular techno nation parties at Silo Leuven and his fans can admire him also on a regularly base at the an exclusive night with parties. In the end of 2003 he did his first mix cd for “more favorite tools” from Austria. This cd contained 19 straight pumping techno tracks.
