Dr. Brian Duncan graduated high school early and went straight into Baptist ministry training. On fire for Jesus, he was constantly seeking deeper resources to help him teach the faith, which led him to discover the Church Fathers. Teaching from them caused problems in his independent Baptist congregation, so he spent a little time in a Reformed Baptist church, which also didn't work out. Disillusioned, he sought a house church environment, at which point he realized it was time for him to stop trying to reinvent and reclaim the Christianity of the early Church; and what he'd been trying to rebuild on his own initiative was present in its fulness right in front of him in the Catholic Faith. He has since gone on to found Catholic Fightwear, and work as a martial arts instructor.

Rising food prices have been one of the big drivers of inflation this year as farmers across America were hit with price spikes for fertilizer and fuel. They've also been forced to grapple with lingering supply-chain issues and labor shortages. Brian Duncan, operator of a family farm and vice president of the Illinois Farm Bureau, joins this week's episode of “What Goes Up” to talk about the agricultural commodities markets and offer his perspective on the US economy as he plans for next year's crops.“I do not see our prices coming down anytime soon,” he says. “Remember how base-fossil fuel dependent agriculture is, both on the fuel side and on the fertilizer side. I don't see a solution.”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Brian Duncan is the Director of Business Development at HungerRush. We live in a golden age for food delivery but it can also be overwhelming with all the options. Brian wants to make sure that ordering online becomes simpler than ever. He sits down with host and fellow disruptor KJ Helms to talk about how he is disrupting the restaurant industry. Takeaways: The biggest problem in tech startups is that people overcomplicate the solution to the problem. Consider high tech solutions for low tech problems. COVID has only expedited how many people are leaving the restaurant industry. We are overloaded with apps for each individual place to order, hence why Grubub and Uber Eats have taken off. The bigger restaurants can pay more money to be higher up on search results why smaller companies can't keep up and that pushes them down the google list. Text based AI can learn based on the amount of data that is put into it. So the more often you text an order, the more it learns and it will correct any mistakes in an order. Text based ordering can be easier than calling to place an order if you are in a noisy environment, and the AI will remember your last order as well. 50% of all restaurants could be virtual by 2030. Human interaction will be limited to a special occasion. Quote of the show: 2:36 “I think a lot of times when it comes to tech startups is people try and over-complicate the solution. How do we get food there faster? We build a drone, right? And like, wow, that's really impressive. But the amount of capital outlay you're going to need to buy them. Uh, people involved that are going to need to help you get there. What I always say is high tech solutions for low tech problems.” Links: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-j-duncan/ Company Website: https://www.hungerrush.com/ Ways to Tune In: Amazon Music - https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/eccda84d-4d5b-4c52-ba54-7fd8af3cbe87/disruption-interruption Apple Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/disruption-interruption/id1581985755 Google Play - https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cub21ueWNvbnRlbnQuY29tL2QvcGxheWxpc3QvODE5NjRmY2EtYTQ5OC00NTAyLThjZjktYWI3YzAwMmRiZTM2LzNiZTZiNzJhLWEzODItNDhhNS04MDc5LWFmYTAwMTI2M2FiNi9kZDYzMGE4Mi04ZGI4LTQyMGUtOGNmYi1hZmEwMDEyNjNhZDkvcG9kY2FzdC5yc3M= Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/show/6yGSwcSp8J354awJkCmJlD Stitcher - https://www.stitcher.com/show/disruption-interruption YouTube - https://youtu.be/pbP9a8YYHJ4 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Use Soap Free Procyon to very effectively remove spots, stains and generally clean your laundry. The most environmentally friendly way to clean your clothes. Products mentioned: Extreme Carpet Pre-Spray https://soapfreeprocyon.com/product/extreme-pre-spray/ Spot & Stain Remover https://soapfreeprocyon.com/product/spot-stain-remover/ [00:00:00.180] Hello, it's JP from Procyon, and here we are at the end of April 2021, we've been pent up for a long time, but the good weather's here. And if you're like my family, we are out doing landscaping, gardening, and as a result ending up with some dirt and grass stains on our clothes. And so today's quick soap free cleaning tip is you can use Soap Free Procyon to very effectively remove spot, stains and generally clean your laundry. [00:00:37.110] So if you already have a bottle, grab it. If not, order one of our 32 ounce spot and stain remover trigger sprayer. This works terrific for direct application to the stained areas on your clothing, be it mud, grass, even some blood stains, which I hope you are not incurring those. But if you do whatever is in your laundry and tough to get out, give it a good spray with the spot and stain remover and let it dwell for five or ten minutes before your wash cycle. [00:01:13.560] Throw it in and if you really want to get things going. Use some of our spot and stain remover. I like to use two ounces in my washing machine instead of any detergent. It is super effective for getting all your clothes clean. So those two products you can solve pretty much any laundry problem and if you like, as in our household, we strictly use Extreme in our washing machine. Let me tell you how effective it is with the professional cleaning anecdote. [00:01:46.020] My friend Brian Duncan and I have long cleaned the greasy carpets in the lobby of the movie theater locally, and maybe you've heard me tell about this before, but we would end up with several 19 inch Luppi cotton bonnets that were just so greasy and waxy with all the spilled popcorn butter that they were just a horrible mess. We would simply take those bonnets, often a dozen of them, and put them in a commercial front loader washing machine and add four ounces of extreme. [00:02:20.550] That is our Soap Free Procyon extreme pre spray. Just that four ounces was effective in getting those cotton bonnets absolutely clean, all the grease removed. So only imagine what it can do in your home washing machine. That is the most environmentally friendly way to clean your clothes. So that's it. Guys, look at our website www.SoapFreeProcyon.com for easy ordering of both the Spot and Stain Remover and the Extreme Pre Spray. And of course you can get all of our products at our website. [00:02:56.790] So that's it. Wishing you a happy spring, get out there and enjoy it. And don't worry about getting your clothes dirty because we will get them clean again -- the green way. Have a healthy and happy week. Learn more at https://soapfreeprocyon.com/ Subscribe to Soap Free Podcast on Soundwise

It was one of the best years of my life and I learned first-hand the power of moments and shared experiences. Not only did I have a helluva lot of fun leading those groups, but I developed a deep connection with the World Heritage listed tropical rainforests of North Queensland and an insight into human behaviour across various cultures. The experience was life changing, not just for me but for so many people who had the pleasure of spending a day on Gus the Bus. In this episode Brian shares the inspiration behind the tour, how he came to be known as Uncle Brian and shares some stories about the characters and moments that made this such a memorable experience. People are looking for changes. This episode is about what changes lives and like the lyrics say in a song sung by Brian Duncan and the Sweet Comfort Band, “changed hearts make changed lives and I see one in you.”One day, Rick as was putting petrol in the RV traveling across Iowa, one of his RLS band members, Scotty Madison, came up to him and asked, “Rick, how do you know that God is real?” Rick said, “Scotty, I know God is real because I can see Him in you.” An interesting question shows that sometimes even believers have questions and doubts. The battleground is not Armageddon, the battleground is in the mind. Satan knows it and he tries to beat us up in our mind with our thoughts. When your heart is changed, it begins to affect your mind in a great way. When you have a new heart, it sends out and pumps out new blood out into the body. When Jesus comes into your heart, He changes things. Jesus is the change maker. When you have doubts, the simple answer is to rise up in faith and believe. Practically, start with the word of God, it is full of truth. Get the word of God in your mind, open your mind to dwell on it and meditate on it. Let the word of God go to work in your heart. Let the truth of God set you free. God understands when you doubt. So, go to Him and ask Him. But be cautious when you start to get a doubt. Remember when Satan talked to Eve, he was placing a doubt in her mind about God. He even used God’s word to cause her to question what God said. Satan even used God’s word when tempting Jesus in the wilderness. Any thought that might cause you to think God is less than He is, less caring, less loving, less good, that is not from God. That is the enemy trying to get you think that God is not for you or maybe that He is not real.If God is before you, who can be against you. Satan would like for you to believe that everything is against you. So, if your doubt questions aren’t answered right away, keep believing in faith of who God says He is in His word. Speak out truth, say it out loud. Don’t speak words of doubt, believe in who God is and what He can do. Believe you are a child of God and can ask and will receive answers to your doubts. When you ask, seek and knock, God will give to you more than you can ask. He gives more than enough. When you seek, ask, and knock, you are taking action towards God. Doubting leads you away from God. When you ask God don’t doubt. Get aggressive with doubt. Stand up against it. We live our lives like they are unessential. But our lives are essential. God gave us essential lives. God gives us essential work to do. We need to be out there doing the essential work. Don’t you want your life to be essential? Don’t you want to be significant? What is God stirring you up to do? What did He put you here for? Meditate and ask God about it.Know Jesus, know peace. No Jesus, no peace. The peace of the world is temporary. Jesus’ peace is perfect where you are not worried, fearful, angry, anxious, or churred up inside. Put your trust in the Lord and rest peacefully. Bring your requests to Him, make them known, lay them before Him and a peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind. If you are not feeling peaceful inside, it should be a huge red flag to you. Seek diligently to get back to peace. Everyone wants peace in the whole world and in their personal lives. Jesus wants that peace for you too. He says to put your trust in Him and everything will fall into alignment. If you have never asked Jesus into your heart, you can do it right where you are. You can say, “Jesus, I need that changed heart. I need that life where blood is coursing through my veins that comes from you Jesus.” Stop and ask Jesus into your heart. It doesn’t matter where you are. Recognize Him as supreme. Recognize Him as the change agent. Recognize Him as Jesus, Son of God, Savior of the world.

It's been one of the greatest things I've gotten to do as a part of VTM to get to know some of the players that make Tech football great to us. From the mainstays of Mickey Peters and Tramain Swindall, to expanding those voices to the likes of Steven Sheffield, Ryan Aycock, Brian Duncan and Lyle Leong. And even though we get over an hour with them each time, the amount of information, experience and stories can never be fully relayed in that amount of time. Special thanks to these former players giving us some of their time to talk Tech football with us and give us their perspective on the current state of Texas Tech football, what they see and what they think can happen in the future. In this Alumni Podcast, we talk about the Leach firing, the Tuberville years and what they think of Kingsbury so far into his era. We also talk about the Tech defense and how it compares to previous versions and a brief mention of streaking through the athletic facitlity, but probably best for off the record haha. Hopefully we can convince these guys to come do many more podcasts with us. Special thanks to Tramain Swindall this week for setting up the guests! Learn more about your ad choices. A wonderful initiative that we really hope catches on. Todays interview is with Brian Duncan, co founder of Chowley, a new technology to assist restaurants.
