On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D’Amico continue their offseason State of the Bills series of podcasts by breaking down and reviewing the contributions the Bills got from their offensive linemen in 2020. While the Bills set a franchise record for points scored (501) last year, the offense was not without its warts. We discuss the offensive line's strengths (pass protection) and weaknesses (run blocking) as Buffalo's linemen did a great job at protecting quarterback Josh Allen (sacked only 26 times, eighth-fewest in the league) while more often than not failing to open up holes for the running backs. This was going to be a heavily-scrutinized position this offseason, but general manager Brandon Beane has already taken steps to improve the o-line re-signing right tackle Daryl Williams to a team-friendly three-year contract extension while getting center Mitch Morse to restructure his contract. We address what retaining Williams means for the o-line, analyze why Dion Dawkins is a rock at left tackle, speculate on whether Cody Ford can live up to his potential as a starting guard, discuss the pros and cons of bringing back guard Jon Feliciano, and assess Morse’s play as the anchor of the offensive line. We also speculate on whether the Bills should bring back guard Ike Boettger and tackle Ty Nsekhe, explore whether swingman Ryan Bates can step in and provide solid production, say goodbye to guard Brian Winters, discuss the potential of tackle Trey Adams, and more. Decision On Insurance Fight By Publicans

FBD has committed to paying out "valid claims" to its public house insurance customers for financial losses incurred as a result of pandemic related closures. The insurance company was left with no choice after the High Court delivered a landmark decision on Friday on the back of a test case taken by four pub owners. Section 3 of FBD's Public House Insurance policy provides cover for business closures arising from "outbreaks of contagious or infectious diseases on the premises or within 25 miles of same". FBD claimed the cover didn't extend to nationwide outbreaks, and was instead confined to more localised cases. However, in a detailed judgement delivered on Friday, Mr Justice Denis McDonald, refused to accept that it requires the closure to be proximately caused by local outbreaks, and found them liable for costs incurred since the forced closure of the pubs almost a full year ago. The actual amount has yet to be decided. This case was taken by four pub owners, but its outcome has far reaching consequences, with up to 1,300 other publicans having the same policy. Pat was joined on the line by Darragh McAllister, Clare Chair of the VFI, and Brian Winters, Solicitor and publican and founder of the Save Irish Pubs Campaign, to discuss the ramifications.

Irish pubs are being encouraged to join a legal challenge against insurance companies who have refused to pay out business interruption claims. The ‘Save Irish Pubs’ campaign is led by businessman solicitor and owner of Charlie’s Bar in Loughrea, Brian Winters. The campaign is calling on the 7,400 pubs across Ireland to join them in taking on the insurance sector - with many Clare publicans having already come on board. There will be no costs or future penalties for publicans and those that join will be offered legal advice and a chance to have their policies interpreted and determined, as part of a number of test cases we propose taking in the Commercial Court. The campaign intends to take the fight to the insurance companies who they believe have failed in their duty to assess publicans’ claims in a fair and equitable manner. On Friday's Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Brian Winters, solicitor, owner of Charlie’s Bar in Loughrea and leader of the ‘Save Irish Pubs’ campaign. Picture © Save Irish Pubs

These will both have salary cap implications for the Jets and affect what happens on the field. The on field impact will likely be felt much deeper by Mosley’s departure as he is the better player and was likely to take on a bigger role. Since Thanksgiving is Thursday this week, we are moving up the mailbag to Tuesday. Thanks to all who submitted questions. As I always say, there can be no mailbag show without mailbag questions. If yours went unanswered today, feel free to resend it in next week. On today's show we look at the odds of Gregg Williams getting a coaching job in the NFL next season, whether the Jets should be looking at new kickers, the Brian Winters effect on the offensive line, whether the Jets will overrate their own talent this offseason and avoid making necessary upgrades, whether Darryl Roberts should reclaim his starting job when healthy, the effectiveness of Jonotthan Harrison, and whether the last three weeks have changed my mind on Adam Gase. This week on the podcast we have taken a look at who are wild cards for the Jets and players who are safe bets to produce. Today we look at players who have something to prove. It is technically true that every player on the roster has something to prove this season. Many of the players are long-shots to even make the roster. Those players are simply trying to prove they deserve a spot in the NFL. I tried to avoid cases like that and focus on players who will likely make the roster and could plausibly contribute to the team if things go right. The five players I name have different things to prove. In a way, all have either their future with the Jets hanging in the balance this year, their career hanging in the balance this year, or both. They are Lorenzo Mauldin, Ardarius Stewart, Brian Winters, Darron Lee, and Teddy Bridgewater. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We couldn't do it without you. Sorry to those of you whose questions we missed. We couldn't get to everybody. Feel free to send your question again next week. Today we look at how Todd Bowles should be evaluated over the last three games of the season,  what changes might be in store for the offense with Bryce Petty playing quarterback, how much a new center might upgrade the offensive line, whether the Jets could trade Brian Winters in the offseason, whether Muhammad Wilkerson is still needed, and whether the Jets should look at big name coaches if any hit the market this offseason even if they are happy with Todd Bowles' 2017 performance. Brian Winters’ experience while working for a big law firm included what he calls a “big retainer mentality.” Success there was measured by how large the initial retainer would be. After some convincing, Brian started offering more affordable services including unbundled “isolated task” work to his clients, and this change in his mentality and approach helped transform his practice. Today, Brian shares how he went about making this important change, the kinds of options he offers now, and how he talks about them with his clients. He also talks about his expansion into other parts of his state, and how he manages his mobile practice from the road.
