The Jets lost their fifth straight game Sunday as Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian both failed to move the offense at all despite defense holding the Falcons under 200 yards offense. Yesterday when Rob Saleh was asked why he continues to play Zach Wilson he pleaded the fifth. Huh?? Last year they played Mike White when Zach was terrible. This year they just keep running Zach out there. Boomer doesn't know if they would be any better with Trevor Siemian as the receivers have dropped a lot of passes. Who is stopping Saleh from moving on from Zach and starting either Boyle or Siemian? Is Aaron Rodgers influencing this decision? Boomer said there is going to be a book about this era of Jets football. The Jets go on the road to Vegas and the Bills. Then they have 3 home games, one against CJ Stroud. It will be interesting to see how he does against the Jets defense. Jerry is here for an update and starts with Rob Saleh talking about Monday night's game. He said it's ‘lazy' to put the loss only on Zach. He is also not considering elevating Trevor Siemian. Aaron Rodgers was on with Pat McAfee and said it will be more than a couple weeks. He said it will be ‘a few fortnights'. Hal Steinbrenner gave his thoughts on the 82-80 season. Hal has talked to current and former players and they all like Aaron Boone. Brian Cashman did a lot of cursing: ‘we're pretty f***ing good'. On being nothing but analytics he said, ‘bulls**t not true'. The Rangers beat Detroit 5-3. In the final segment of the hour, we talked more about Rob Saleh having to play Zach Wilson. Boomer doesn't think there would be much difference with Trevor Siemian or Tim Boyle.
Hour 1 Yesterday when Rob Saleh was asked why he continues to play Zach Wilson he pleaded the fifth. Huh?? Last year they played Mike White when Zach was terrible. This year they just keep running Zach out there. Boomer doesn't know if they would be any better with Trevor Siemian as the receivers have dropped a lot of passes. In the final segment of the hour, we talked more about Rob Saleh having to play Zach Wilson. Boomer doesn't think there would be much difference with Trevor Siemian or Tim Boyle. Hour 2 Boomer is annoyed that we are out of coffee and somebody screwed up his sports minute. We bring in Christopher, a newer employee who didn't handle the sports minutes properly. We got back to the calls from Jets fans who desperately want a change at quarterback. A caller is afraid the players on defense are going to bolt the minute their contracts expire. Jerry returns for an update but first, former QB Matt McGloin was just voted into a political position in Pennsylvania. Jerry has audio of Joel Sherman vs Brian Cashman. Cashman called it a ‘stupid discussion'. Hal Steinbrenner talked about bunting. Aaron Rodgers talked about throwing on the sidelines just to relieve stress and have some fun. Rob Saleh said he is not considering a quarterback change because it's not all on him. The Rangers beat the Red Wings 5–3. In the final segment of the hour, a caller is mad at Boomer because he is criticizing Zach Wilson when it's the receivers who are not getting separation. Gio cannot believe Jets fans are defending Zach. Hour 3 Gio loves the new fired up Brian Cashman and Hal Steinbrenner that we got talking to the media yesterday. They clearly have a chip on their shoulders. It sounds like they've finally had enough. The Yankees are supposed to be better than everybody every year. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio said the spread on the Cowboys/Giants is 16 ½. Do Giants fans want to win or lose now? Rob Saleh talked about Aaron Rodgers working hard to get back. Rodgers said he still has a lot of work to do. Mike Tomlin was asked if George Pickens is frustrated and how he deals with it and he said ‘it's a pebble in my shoe'. Brian Cashman met the media and Jerry has a montage of all of his curses. Hal is clearly working with Aaron Judge on changes to the Yankees. Why is Craig Counsell regarded as this unbelievable manager when he's won nothing? In the final segment of the hour, Steve Cohen showed his plans for the area surrounding Citi Field that he's calling Metropolitan Park. He still needs approval from Albany and he has a casino in his plans. Do we need another casino? Hour 4 Brian Costello of the NY Post did a deep dive into Zach Wilson's career with the Jets. He has never thrown 3 TDs in a game and he's played 30 games for the Jets. Remember how great Mike White was against the Bengals and the Bears? In 30 games Zach Wilson has not come close to either of those performances. Boomer thinks if Zach has a bad first half against the Raiders they will have to do something in the second half. Gio's not so sure about that. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio tells us the Culinary Workers Union is going on strike in Vegas just as the Jets fans head there for the Raiders game. Formula 1 is also racing in the streets in Vegas. Rob Saleh said it's lazy to just blame Zach for the Jets losses. Mike McDaniel was asked about being comfortable being funny. Hal Steinbrenner is interested in all sorts of free agents signing with the Yankees. Brian Cashman said other teams are always trying to take their people. He also said they were ‘pretty f***ing good'. David Stearns met the media and talked about Craig Counsell going to the Cubs instead of the Mets. The Moment of The Day involves testing NYC tap water. In the final segment of the show, we have some bad primetime/stand alone games in the NFL this week starting tomorrow night. There are also strong rumors in Boston that if the Patriots lose to the Colts in Germany then Bill Belichick is out. Gio thinks it will be more respectful than that. They will let him finish out the year and then come to a decision. He also has his sons working on the staff. Commanders seem like a good fit for Belichick. What about the Bears? What about the Chargers? The Sexiest Man Alive issue has an NFL guy on the list: Jason Kelce. The winner was Patrick Dempsey.
Who is stopping Saleh from moving on from Zach and starting either Boyle or Siemian? Is Aaron Rodgers influencing this decision? Boomer said there is going to be a book about this era of Jets football.

After Zach Wilson's Week 3 implosion against the New England Patriots, the New York Jets finally made a move at quarterback. The team signed veteran Trevor Siemian. Siemian had an unmemorable stint as Sam Darnold's backup in 2019, starting a single game and throwing 6 passes before suffering a season-ending injury. Siemian should upgrade quarterback depth although it is unclear why the Jets waited so long to do so.Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

The Jets have finally brought in another quarterback, signing Trevor Siemian to the practice squad. Boomer doesn't expect him to be on the active roster anytime soon as he has to get caught up in what's going on with the team. Aaron Rodgers wants everyone to support the team but he only just got here. He hasn't gone through what Ira in Staten Island has been through. Rodgers said he might be able to make it to the game Sunday night. Maybe he'll sit with Taylor Swift. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with audio of Rodgers on with Pat McAfee saying we have to support the team. Chris Russo compares Zach Wilson to a pinata but has no idea how to pronounce it. Tyreek Hill said he wants to be a porn star when he retires. Evan and Tiki did a bit called ‘Bad Tiki' and Jerry had clips. In the final segment of the hour, we wondered how things are going to go with Rodgers calling-in McAfee this year as the Jets are a complete disaster.

While the Cincinnati Bengals didn't draft a quarterback during the recent NFL Draft, there were changes in the quarterback room as backup Brandon Allen left the organization and veteran signal-caller Trevor Siemian took over as the backup for Joe Burrow. Bengals quarterback coach Dan Pitcher gets back In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss how the Bengals offseason work has been coming along, the addition of Siemian, and what he's seen from newcomers, tight end Irv Smith Jr. and newly drafted wide receiver Charlie Jones out of Purdue. Pitcher gives excellent insight into why Burrow has become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL since being the first player in the 2020 NFL Draft and more in another great episode of In The Trenches from the First Star Logistics Studios.
The Chicago Bears are facing their oldest rival this week -- the Green Bay Packers. Justin Fields is projected to start. Is that a good idea though? What about this narrative that Justin Fields cannot throw the football?

Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly outlined how the league approaches players on long-term injured reserve when their expected date of return falls around the start of the playoffs to ensure everything is above board. He called it a thorough process without problems. Any change would have to be collectively bargained with the NHL Players' Association. Concerned that the coin toss to begin the extra period has too much impact on postseason game results, the owners voted Tuesday to approve a proposal presented by the Colts and Eagles. Beginning this season, if the team possessing the ball first in overtime scores a touchdown on that series, the opponent still gets a possession. In recent seasons, that touchdown would have ended the game. Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints NFL Pick Prediction 12/27/2021 by Tony T. Dolphins at Saints—Miami has a clean injury report with nothing on the 22 starters. New Orleans look to a fourth string quarterback. Out are Winston, Hill and Siemian. It will be rookie Ian Book under center for New Orleans. The rookie from Notre Dame was taken in the fourth round. He did play in one preseason game hitting on 9 of 16 for 126 yards and an interception against Jacksonville. With the Fighting Irish Book on occasion would use his legs to rush downfield.

The New Orleans Saints plan to start Taysom Hill on Thursday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys in place of Trevor Siemian. As long as Hill can stay healthy, he should be QB1 for the Saints. The Dallas Cowboys continue to be impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19 across their coaches and players. Even Amari Cooper could go on to miss his third straight game along with several coaches including head coach Mike McCarthy and starting RT Terrence Steele. Meanwhile, the Saints are hoping to get back at least one of their starting running backs in Mark Ingram and/or Alvin Kamara. It was time to move on Trevor Siemian, and one key metric helps to display why. Siemian's inconsistency throwing catchable passes, even when not under pressure is a clear indicator that it was time to try something new, something mobile, at quarterback. Taysom Hill needs to the New Orleans Saints' starting quarterback moving froward. Trevor Siemian now 0-4 as the Saints starter. With the New Orleans Saints' season threatening to go out with a whimper, the Saints should be starting Taysom Hill at quarterback. Siemian has been on of the NFL's most inefficient passers throughout his four starts, the Saints should see what they can build around Taysom without a competition in play, and there's no reason to not try something new at this point. Barring further injury, this team should be Taysom Hill's moving forward. Why hasn't Hill been starting these last two games as opposed to being the emergency QB? And how much does Taysom truly impact Sean Payton and the Saints' opportunity to get back to their winning ways? New Orleans is dealing with a ton of injuries, but with Siemian unable to elevate the offense as available, Taysom's element of the run game paired with a hopefully healthy Alvin Kamara and/or Mark Ingram in the near future provides the team with something to lean on. With Deonte Harris' 3-game suspension impending, what's the realistic expectation for the Saints in their final six games? A key element around the quarterback position seems to make three of the six look winnable, and those would be a very important set of three wins for the Saints' offseason. Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints Pick Prediction 11/25/2021 by Tony T. Bills at Saints—New Orleans again will be without running back Alvin Kamara to injury. Backup Mark Ingram is questionable with a knee injury. New Orleans starting left tackle is out and right tackle questionable. Defensive end Marcus Davenport out. Bills have been quite the bounce back team following a loss. Following their first three losses the Bills responded with wins by 35 at Miami, 15 at Miami and 28 at the Jets. Saints are also without quarterback Jameis Winston so it is Trevor Siemian under center. They carry a three game losing streak into this game. Siemian started all three games completing only 58.8% for 6.5 yards per pass attempt. Bills defense trending well past three games allowing 318 yards, 4.3 yards per rush and 5.7 per pass attempt. Play Buffalo -6.5.

One year anniversary of the podcast, so you know we had to have some fun breaking down the lovely New Orleans Saints week! Well, sadly it was not a lovely week. The most pessimistic episode to date consisted of the Falcons beating the Saints(?????), Odell Beckham JR. signing with the Rams, Cam Newton returning to Carolina, and the NFL Super Bowl picture becoming more and more blurry.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints Pick Prediction 11/7/2021 by Tony T. Falcons at Saints—Atlanta offense has produced 27 or greater points in three of their past four games. Past three games Matt Ryan passed for 266 yards with 69% completion rate for 7.1 yards per pass attempt. Defensive numbers in this period have been good as the Falcons allowed 325 yards, 4.2 yards per rush and 5.9 per pass attempt. Jameis Winston out for the season with a knee injury. They go with backup Trevor Siemian. Falcons have film and can prepare for Siemian. Division rival game and Atlanta healthy on offense and defensively. Play Atlanta +6.

Locked On Bucs – Daily Podcast On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue their struggles against the New Orleans Saints during the regular season, dropping yet another one inside the Superdome 36-27. Tom Brady, despite throwing for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns, turned the ball over three times with the final one being the nail in the coffin as P.J. Williams returned it for a touchdown.Chris Godwin finished with a season high 140 yards on eight catches, adding in a touchdown that gave the Bucs the early 7-0 lead, but it was third string quarterback Trevor Siemian that led the charge for New Orleans once Jameis Winston left the game with a knee injury. Siemian got the Saints out to a 23-7 lead early in the second half before Brady and the Buccaneers offense stormed back to take a 27-26 lead.In the end, the defense couldn't get the job done, allowing the Saints to march down the field for a go ahead field goal before the ill timed pick six put the game out of reach with under 1:40 to play. The biggest story surrounding this one was the penalties. The Buccaneers accounted for eleven of the game's thirteen penalties, awarding the Saints six free first downs because of lapses in judgement by the defense. One penalty - an early roughing the passer call - negated an interception in the end zone by Antoine Winfield Jr. that could have swung the game in the Bucs' favor in the second quarter. Though officiating was not the reason the Buccaneers lost this game, some suspect calls - or non-calls - certainly played into it. Through 24 games in the regular season, Tom Brady has turned the ball over against the Saints eight times in three games, while turning the ball over just twelve times in the other 21 games. The Bucs have now lost six regular season matchups in a row, their last win coming in week one of 2018 where they were led by Ryan Fitzpatrick. With the Buccaneers headed for the bye week, they have time to continue to get healthy and get some things figured out on both sides of the ball.Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Bucs Podcast on these platforms…Apple: https://apple.co/3iOePFkSpotify: https://spoti.fi/3BwlScYAudacy: https://bit.ly/3FAcIhVGoogle: https://bit.ly/2X0IEdSMegaphone: https://bit.ly/3uZOcSoFollow & Subscribe to the Locked On Washington Football Team Podcast on these platforms…Apple: https://apple.co/2YHegGcSpotify: https://spoti.fi/3mHG7yeAudacy: https://bit.ly/2YDl7jEMegaphone: https://bit.ly/3AIshkdFollow Locked On Podcast Network on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LockedOnNetworkCheck out all of our NFL Coverage: linktr.ee/lockedonnflFollow James on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JYarcho_BUCSFollow David on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DHarrison82Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
