Oft stelle ich mir die Frage, ob die Probleme von Apple auch in der öffentlichen Meinung bekannt sind? Auch wenn ich es oft nicht zugeben möchte - Apfeltalk ist schon ein wenig eine Filterblase. Die Oscars sind aber ein gutes Beispiel für Apple's Stellenwert und Wahrnehmung. Anfang Februar wurden die Oscars für 2020 vergeben, und ja Apple war auch dort ein Thema. Liegt es an Apple TV+? Nicht wirklich. Hier spielt Apple noch keine Rolle, und die großen Filmstudios werden lange versuchen es dabei zu belassen. Viel mehr hat der Preisträger für die beste Regie Apple erwähnt. Taika Waititi hat sich über die Tastaturen der MacBooks beschwert. Das Butterfly - Drama Viel zu lange hat Apple unzuverlässige Keyboards in seinen Notebooks verbaut. Seit Ende letzten Jahres gibt es einen kleinen Lichtblick - das MacBook Pro 16 setzt endlich auf ein neues (altes) Tastaturdesign. Taika Waititi kritisierte aber nicht nur die Zuverlässigkeit, sondern auch den gerignen Tastenhub. Oscars und das Butterfly-Distortion-Field Und auch unter dieser Folge werden wieder Nutzer kommentieren, die der Meinung sind, dass das Butterfly Keyboard super sei - und sie seit 2016 kein Problem haben. Das mag alles sein, negiert die Probleme aber nicht. Apple bekommt hier einen schweren Imageschaden, der sich erst über die nächsten Jahre wirklich auswirken wird. Am Ende bleibt die Frage - was bewog die Designer in Cupertino so lange an diesem Design fest zu halten? Das Keyboard hatte mit dem MacBook seine Premiere. In diesem schmalen Gerät wurde die Tastatur akzeptiert - dennoch aber bereits kritisiert. Was bewog Cupertino noch dazu die Tastatur auf seine erfolgreichste Linie auszuweiten? Und warum dauerte es so lange die Rolle rückwärts zu machen? Über drei Jahre - das ist ein schlechter Witz.
