Brett Young joined the baseball staff in the fall of 2021 as an assistant coach. He was promoted to head coach in the summer of 2023. In his two years as Barry's recruiting coordinator, he helped lead the effort that saw the Bucs sign the top-rated class in NCAA Division II according to Perfect Game. The Bucs made the NCAA tournament in 2023 for just the fourth time in school history and won the South Region 2 title over host West Florida. Barry posted a 35-19 record and advanced to the Super Regional for the first time in program history.

In 2016, she founded South Shore College Consulting & Tutoring, and in 2019, she founded another company: Briley & Baxter Publications, a publishing company built on the model of giving back to animal rescues. Publications: Stacy is the author of nine Young Adult novels with her tenth and eleventh in the works. Her "Montgomery Lake High" book series, which is young adult Christian fiction, was released between 2010-2014. In 2016, Barnes & Noble chose Stacy to be a featured author for its teen book festival. In 2019, she began releasing a new book series titled “Gripped,” which takes place in the same world as "Montgomery Lake High" but focuses on different main characters. In 2019, Stacy Padula also wrote her first screenplay, an adaptation of her novel “The Aftermath” and worked on writing a pilot for “Gripped” that has been highly embraced by Hollywood producers. In 2020, Stacy began writing a third book series with NBA Coach Brett Gunning. Geared towards children ages three through eight, Stacy and Brett's soon-to-be-released “On The Right Path” book series has been endorsed by Joel Osteen, Mike D'Antoni, and Kevin McHale as a series that belongs in every school, library, and household. Awards: Stacy Padula was featured in Marquis Who's Who in America (2018) for excellence in literature and education, Marquis Who's Who in the World (2018 & 2019), and Cambridge Who's Who for Young Professionals (2009). In 2018, she was awarded the Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, and in 2019, the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP of New York, NY) chose Stacy Padula as its “Top Educational Consultant of the Year.” Then in 2020, she was named “Empowered Woman of the Year” by IAOTP. Each of her novels have risen to best seller status in a variety categories on Amazon from 2010 onward. From February through March of 2019, “Gripped Part 1” was the #1 New Release on Amazon Kindle in its category. In November of 2019, “Gripped Part 3” was the #1 New Release on Amazon in Paperback and on Kindle in 3 different genres. In May and June of 2020, “Gripped Part 4” became the #1 New Release on Amazon in multiple genres as well. Stacy writes young adult novels in the hopes of preparing teens to face the “war zone” that is high school—to help kids deal with the stress and peer pressure and to encourage them to “steer a straight path, pursue God, and not fall for the false promises of the world.” Brett Gunning Brett Gunning has spent the last 26 years coaching in College and the NBA. He began his career in 1994 as an assistant coach for Jay Wright at Hofstra University. Over the next seven seasons, he was a part of a staff that turned Hofstra into an American East powerhouse, posting a 72-22 (.766) record from 1998-2001.
