My Girlfriend's Apartment Is Giving Me AnxietyHow would you handle this? You want to move in with your girlfriend, but she has a ton of knick-knacks, plants and just plain stuff. He is a minimalist and feels like he couldn't move in with her if she didn't at least get rid of half of it. No Makeup On The First DateIn general, Gen Z has trended towards skipping out on classic date nights like traditional dinners and drinks in favor of more adventurous, active ventures like ocean swims, yoga sessions, or rock climbing. These activities allow potential paramours to get to know each other without the pressure of sitting across from each other and talking for hours on end — though eventually, there comes a point in a relationship where this is necessary. The latest move to ease the tension and anxiety of a first date? No makeup, a la Pamela Anderson. Both Millennials and Gen Zers have taken to the Internet to share their experiences with the movement, and overall, they're psyched about their new looks, and the confidence boosts it can — potentially, as @madisonoud pointed out — bring with it. (No thanks, Tom Hanks)Looking Good Vs Feeling GoodAlong the same vein, people are saying that feeling healthy makes them feel attractive. Exercising and eating well, give the confidence a boost. Let me guess, you should cut ut alcohol? Booooooo.Second Date UpdateJordan and Elise met at a birthday party. They discover they love puzzles, so they go to an Escape Room for their first date. They did it in under an hour, but now she has ghosted.

It appears as though we are watching the early stages of the second Bolshevik Revolution unfolding, as military-aged fighting men with negligible skills, no ability to speak the language, and low IQ are being intentionally flooded into the West. The question becomes less about what is happening and more about how to adjust to this new variable, which does not appear to be going away anytime soon. Do you stay and hunker down for a long slog, or do you quietly plot your escape and leave while you still can? We explore a few solutions that could help with decision-making. In Episode 43 of WWG1WGA After Dark, Brad Zerbo delivers a rollercoaster monologue weaving sharp humor, cultural commentary, and red-pill truths. He kicks off with a satirical review of California's “escape room” reality, mocking the state's taxes, crime, and failed governance. The show dives deep into ICE raids sweeping the nation, exposing the hypocrisy of sanctuary city policies and spotlighting corruption from politicians like Cynthia Gonzalez, accused of inciting gang resistance to federal agents. Brad tears apart mainstream media hoaxes, including viral misinformation about ICE detaining a Marine's father and the weaponization of emotion against immigration enforcement. He calls out Reddit anarchists encouraging sabotage of ICE vehicles and makes the case for prosecuting illegal employers. The episode also features reflections on cultural psyops, the rebranding of war under the Department of Defense, and Trump's brutal narrative chess moves, especially his cryptic references to Netanyahu and Israel. Brad ties in historical trivia, New York mayoral politics, and time travel theories, capping it off with a tribute to stand-up comedy's role in free speech. This unfiltered stream of wit and fire blends deep digs, hard truths, and good laughs all under the Badlands banner.

Click here to try it out!Welcome back to Bad Dads Film Review! This week, we're descending into the mind-bending, minimalist sci-fi thriller that is Cube (1997). A cult favourite from Canadian director Vincenzo Natali, this low-budget psychological puzzle box is as disorienting and claustrophobic as it is thought-provoking.Cube begins in medias res: a group of strangers wakes up in a strange, sterile room with hatches on all six sides. Each door leads to another nearly identical room—some are safe, others are lethal traps. No one knows how or why they're there. The group includes a cop, a doctor, an escape artist, a math whiz, a paranoid conspiracy theorist, and an autistic man with extraordinary numerical abilities. What unfolds is part escape room, part social experiment, as they try to survive—and escape—the Cube.Cube is rich in metaphor and minimal in exposition. It avoids explaining who built the structure or why, focusing instead on how ordinary people behave under extreme pressure. As the group's dynamic shifts, alliances form and collapse, revealing how quickly fear and distrust take hold. The traps are inventive (acid spray, wire slicing, sound-activated death rooms), but the real tension comes from the breakdown of civility and the slow unravelling of each character's psyche. The cube itself becomes a symbol of bureaucracy, control, and the meaningless complexity of modern systems. And the maths—there's a lot of maths. Prime numbers, Cartesian coordinates, permutations. It's as if Saw, Waiting for Godot, and a high school algebra textbook all collided.

When Miss Jezebel first debuted, no one had really ever seen anything like it before. It incorporated an actor into the gameplay in a way that felt more akin to larp or interactive theater. For those in the right mindset, it was uproariously funny. It was also screamingly vulgar, with adult props that would make a bachelor party blush. It was an instant darling of the Los Angeles escape room scene. Brian Corbitt, creator of Miss Jezebel, joins us in his second appearance on the Spoilers Club for a tell-all. One of his mantras is "Players loved getting trolled." Indeed he did, especially when it came to making out with sock puppets, having to quietly rip a giant piece of velcro apart, or searching for limes. Many of his interactions were designed to maximize fun, while showcasing the players' ability to improvise under pressure. They usually rose to the occasion, much to the amusement of their friends. When you support Room Escape Artist on Patreon at $15 per month (or above), you get access to the Spoilers Club, our exclusive podcast where hosts David Spira and Peih-Gee Law chat in depth with creators about iconic escape rooms... spoilers and all! https://www.patreon.com/roomescapeartist

"It was like a laser tag basement with Party City decorations." Escape rooms? What are those? Well, it says here that you're locked in a room, and if you can't solve the puzzles fast enough, a zombie will get you! According to Trip Advisor, it's the top rated activity in the city. The year is 2014. Amanda Harris has just discovered her first escape room... and her life was changed forever. Since that fateful day, she has gone on to play well over 1,700 escape rooms. She is currently one of the most experienced escape room players in the country, if not the world. Amanda joins us to talk about the escape room era of yore, when most rooms were festooned with cheap locks and even cheaper furniture. The puzzles were mostly bad, and many of the games were created and run by slightly sadistic gamemasters who guarded hints like dragons sitting on their hoards. Yet she played game after game after game. Despite how terrible many of the early escape rooms were, she still loved them, and played as many as she could find. Indeed, even finding the games themselves was a challenge back then, let alone finding the gems. Those few gems, however, were absolutely incredible. That's a large part of the reason why David and Lisa created Room Escape Artist all those years ago. Tune in to this episode to hear David and Amanda reminisce about the bad old days and trade war stories about "the early days of completely bananas, insane escape rooms." You have been eaten alive by an irradiated Koala. What a day. But don't worry, there's a pub in here! Join Jamie, Aled, Mike and Bailey as they reflect on a question that should haunt the dreams of more Escape Room designers than it probably does - What is a puzzle? AND THAT'S NOT ALL. A prize draw. A real one. With a real prize. Well, two, actually, but one of them will probably go a bit funny before it reaches the winner. Also, our recommendations for this month: As always, we closed out the episode with some handpicked recommendations from the team: Bailey – TreeApp Plant a tree a day for free by watching short ads—an easy way to support global reforestation. Aled – Piper Alley Bagpipe covers of metal songs. Yes, it's weird. Yes, it's brilliant. Mike – Hardspace: Shipbreaker A relaxing puzzle-like space salvage sim with corporate dystopia vibes. Great on Steam Deck. Mike – Slow Horses by Mick Herron A witty, gritty spy thriller about MI5's least wanted. Also a TV series starring Gary Oldman. Jamie – Maniac (Steam) GTA-style, top-down bullet hell chaos. Perfect for blowing off steam in 20-minute bursts. The main topic of this week's episode is: "What's the greatest gaming handheld of all time?" Is it the original Game Boy? The PlayStation Vita? The Switch? The N-Gage? I have my thoughts, of course, but I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks. Of course, if that topic doesn't tickle your fancy, there's always what I've been playing, this week with City Bus Manager, Mad Experiments: Escape Room, Mad Experiments 2: Escape Room, Beef Cat Ultra, and DAMN!. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. (And if you haven't already, or are a listener and not a watcher, please like, subscribe, hit the bell, and all that jazz; it may not seem like much, but it goes a long way in helping support the show and site in general. May 15, 2025: Reid Stephan, VP and CIO of St. Luke's Health System, explores the constant battle for prioritization in healthcare. The discussion delves into the tension between vendor partnerships and innovation, challenging the notion that vendor alignment equals strategic vision. Satya Nadella claims "AI hasn't delivered much yet" while Bill Gates predicts AI replacing doctors within a decade. Reid offers a nuanced perspective, suggesting, "People aren't wanting tools that look smart. They want tools that are simple... that get out of the way and just get to work." We're kicking off a new series—not on success, purpose, or relationships—but on the person at the center of it all: Jesus. In this message, we wrestle with one of the most fundamental questions of faith: Why Jesus? Not just why believe in God—but why choose to trust in Jesus specifically?Pastor Erwin Raphael McManus takes us through a profound journey, from agnosticism and atheism to a life-altering realization about the nature of reality, love, and what it means to be human. Are we just digits in a mathematical universe, or is there something deeper at work—a divine presence calling us out of despair, into freedom? This talk confronts the illusion of religion, the myth of moral neutrality, and the seduction of shortcuts—showing us how Jesus didn't wait for us to find our way to him. He entered the escape room of our brokenness to become the door out. If you've ever felt trapped by your past, lost in your questions, or unsure where to find meaning, this message is for you. Jesus doesn't just offer answers—he is the way out.
