Shocktober Tournament part 3!HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Thanks for waiting for the episode. This one took a little longer to produce because we ran into some audio issues in the editing booth. SCARY!
Imagine escaping a deadly escape room only to wind up back in one again a while later. An experience very similar to the one Rick and Paul have reviewing Escape Room: Tournament Of Champions. Rick explains the Dubai Porta-Potty concept to Paul.
Be on the lookout for clues because we're headed back to Escape Room with Adam Robitel's sequel, Tournament of Champions (2021). With the help of returning guest Reyna Cervantes, we're discussing both the Theatrical, as well as the Extended Cut of the film (jump ahead to the ~1hr 10min mark to hear about the new beginning and end!) Expect Minos-levels of conspiracy as we try to figure out the timeline and rationale for the two cuts. Plus: our fave new characters and traps, retconning the original film's end, needing more Isabelle Fuhrman and James frain, and what we want in a possible third entry (and why it definitely *won't* be rated R) Questions? Time for a new episode of the podcast and this is a weird one. Not because of the movie, but because of the cut of the film. What happens when 25 minutes of a movie completely changes the plot? Hello everyone, welcome back to Ryan Reviews! This week Ryan goes over Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, a sequel to a movie about a group of people trying to do a deadly escape room. Ryan goes into how the movie just tries to pad its time, where there isn't that much material to deal with, and there is a lot of clunky exposition, with the way the characters are all brought together in a lazy way. Ryan also talks about how the twist at the end helps make the rooms make sense, and the way the rooms were designed were spectacularly done. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
