In this show, my dear friend Sheri Hupfer returns to enchant us around the rare, chlorophyll-lacking plant ally Ghost Pipe. I was surprised to have never heard of this beauty of the underneath, friend of Pluto, and medicine for our fears. Now that I am familiar, I long for the day when I get to meet her in the dark forest. Until then, enjoy this Plants and Planets show. And use the link below to Sheri's site if you would like to get some Ghost Pipe medicine for your apothecary. DISCLAIMER: Pulsatilla + Ghost pipe are rare and delicate beings whom are not found readily in most parts of the world. It is important to remember that there are many ways to work with these plant allies that do not involve ingesting them. Plant journeys, flower essences and drop doses are all wonderful ways to deepen in exploration with such medicine. Remember- being called to work with a plant does not necessarily translate to harvesting it yourself, especially when it comes to our more rare and endangered friends. The Ethical harvesting checklist is an essential guide when assessing a stand of plants for without bringing both the science and the intuition into the forest, we are no better than our colonizing ancestors. Kyle Hupfer, who has served in a variety of public and private sector roles in his career, currently has one of each – including chairman of the Indiana Republican Party. While the state party may be on the sidelines in the current three-way U.S. Senate primary battle, trying to gain the seat in November is the top priority for 2018. Learn about other key goals, the rapidly changing nature of political campaigns today and inside perspectives on our state’s recent executive leaders. And we start off with a look back at Hupfer’s highly successful baseball career.
In this show, Sheri returns to talk about the Winter Solstice and Mugwort. As the Sun stands still up here in the North, the nights are long and perfect for dreaming. No better herb according to many for augmenting the dreamworld experience than Artemesia Vulgaris (Mugwort). May this show summon your inner witch and alchemist to the table. In this show, Sheri Hupfer returns to talk about Black Cohosh (aka "Snake root). We make many correlations between Mars/Venus and this profound root, seeing how it can help with our grief, our sexuality, and our relationship strategies. We hope that you enjoy our conversation. www.Holestoheavens.com www.thealchemyofartemis.com
In this show, Sheri Hupfer and I explore some alchemy. With Venus as our guest and Rosemary by our sides, we speak to the importance of memory, circulation, proper medicine making, and, of course, Love. This is the second installment of the "Plants & Planets" format, and in fact, the idea originated way back in 2012 between us, it just took 5 years to make it happen. Let us know what you think.
