Blake Bourque joins Coach Sam as they discuss the amazing set of circumstances that brought Blake to Warrior, which brought an energy of alpha yet honest men that have learned to not be saviors to others, but leaders instead. IN THIS WEEK'S EPISODE.... Parable #1: Pigs Don't Know They Stink The energy of Wake Up Warrior resonated with Blake and he was attracted to the fact that men were willing to be honest, no matter what. He had been living as a liar amongst liars for so long and was tired of stinking like a pig because pigs don't know they stink. His encounter was unlike anything he had ever experienced in all his years in Corporate America and he wondered, "Could this be home? Have I found my people?" Blake: The Holy Spirit was bringing me to a place where my whole body was being crushed. Everything in my personal and business life was gone - everything. So when Warrior found me via someone sending me a link to a video, six minutes into it when I saw Garrett on stage saying "stop fucking lying," I was all in. QUESTION What was your first encounter with Warrior like? What resonated with you? What reeled you in? Parable #2: Look in Mirrors to Avoid the Tailspin of Sedation Blake: After my wife and I lost our twin girls in 2009, in the midst of my grief I felt I had found my Purpose - I was going to go out and save lives. I began sedating myself from the pain with drugs and work, and in the process built a multi-million dollar business, yet with that, I lost my relationship with my wife. When you numb yourself against pain, the counter to that is you’re numbing yourself against joy. I looked at my wife every single day and didn’t know she was mirroring me. That’s what Warrior taught me - people mirror you. They mirror your energy, your grief, lies and pain. What happens is you see that mirror and you don’t like that mirror and then you get mad at them for that mirror. I would be pissed at her and would verbally take things out on her. It was a very dark period. QUESTION What are you seeing about yourself in Blake's experience? Parable #3: That's What I Did, Blake Blake: On the run up to Warrior Week while I was bonding with the men inside social media, I kept talking to my wife about it and she would say, "that’s what I did, Blake. I did yoga, I did meditation, I did journaling and writing. Do you want me to show you my journals? Do you remember when you told me this was stupid? A waste of time? That you didn’t want to do it?" "I’m going to let you do this. Not that I’m giving you permission to do something, because you can do whatever the hell you want. I’m gonna peel back my scars, I’m gonna rip open my wounds and I‘m gonna let yours stick to me so we can heal together. But if you fuck this up, if you don’t go all in and you leave me with open wounds again, it’s over." QUESTION Are you really seeing your wife? Your children? Are you really listening to them? Parable #4: Retrace, Face, Replace and Embrace In the darkness lies the truth. When we talk about the Pit, you have to go there and you have to look at an emotional charge that took place at one point in your life. What you were, what you are, what I was and what I am is a series of emotional charges that took place in us. Call them feelings, events - whatever the fuck took place at one time in our childhood or recently. These emotional charges are stored in the dark under the truth because they’re the facts. In order for us to process them, we must first do the work and retrace them, then we’re going to face them and most important of all, we are going to replace the story. This happened but the story that we fabricated that builds the truth around it needs to be rewritten and finally embraced. QUESTION When will you choose to process the emotional charges stored inside of you? Parable #5: Warrior Week is a Test of Your Heart Sam: Warrior is not a physical event. We are not here to present that we are military guys or that we know how to break you down. We are here to look for what you have inside of your heart. Warrior Week is the test of your heart. Blake: Sedated men need to be woken up. If the Trainers don’t scream at you, you won’t wake up because there’s something inside your fucking heart that you’ve put to sleep - and Sam Falsafi is going to fucking wake it up. Warrior didn’t teach me how to be a badass with a boot on the back of someone’s neck, Warrior taught me how to give time, how to feel and how to tell the fucking truth. QUESTION What will it take for you to open your heart? Parables from the Pit: "In this place, we will tell the truth as it happens. And the truth is very different from the facts. Between the facts and the truth there are a number of stories. Those stories are behavior justifications and assumptions fed by your ego, and in the midst of that lies the truth, which is the version that has always been there. We built this podcast so men can come here and share their pain, and through this sharing, the pain is divided one more time; but more importantly, it can pierce your heart and say: I know you. In This Week's Episode....PROTECTION Golden Nugget #1: Building Your Kingdom is Connected to Purpose This is about Legacy. This is about creating a life that matters. This is about leaving bread crumbs for your children so that they can do it better than you did. It's about protecting the life you have built. If Profitability becomes the standard inside your business and inside of your life, then the possibility to live your Purpose is unleashed. When you have no Purpose, there is no desire to protect that which you build and that which you say you hold close to your heart. Hopeless men cannot lead. Broke men cannot lead. Men without money will struggle to lead. The Voice cannot lead you when you do not have the resources to be used. QUESTION: What actions are you going to take today to get connected with your Purpose? Golden Nugget #2: Don't Be a Cheap Bastard When to spend money and when to save money is a balancing act. If you have learned how to make money, at some point you have to see your life and investing in the experiences and legacy with your children, as worthy to invest in. You might be the guy who blows all of this money so he doesn’t have enough to take care of his family, or you are such a tight bastard that you devalue your Queen, won’t pay for the fucking ballet lessons for your kids, and end up being served divorce papers by your wife during your vacation because you've shown your wife and family that they aren't worth shit. QUESTION: When are you going to start investing in your life: in your wife, your kids and yourself? Golden Nugget #3: The Queen Has to Live and Thrive I had never included my wife in the 'King Eats First' principle, which was not only causing chaos in my marriage, but was not creating an element of safety or security for my wife. This led me to this idea of creating utter safety and stability for my wife by wrapping her up in a bubble of protection instead of exposing her to the elements. I started putting money into an account every single month that my Queen has complete control over. It's literally the 'fuck off' account, and it's also the stability account because at any given time she can open up the app on her phone and recognize that even though I am making a lot of ‘crazy' moves in business, she knows that back home she has fuck off money. One of the best business decisions I have ever made. QUESTION: What are you getting from this conversation right now? Golden Nugget #4: The Castle Must Have Protection Cash is King in business. The business must have a vault and you’ve got to raise the floor in sustainable cash in the business. The business cannot continue to redline every month and your teams must know that you are not redlining. You have to get to a place where cash reserves exist for the business You are going to make decisions inside your business to build a movement that sometimes requires great amounts of cash.You need to make these moves without being in paranoia and scarcity. Do you currently have a vault of cash in your business that is not touched but is simply in play, protected from lawsuits and scrutiny, that sits in a situation that protects the business and your future? QUESTION: What steps will you begin taking today to move away from a place of paranoia and scarcity and into a place of Abundance? Golden Nugget #5: The Mega Vault Backs Everything The Empire Vault or The Legacy Vault: This is the life and the breath of your Empire and Legacy. It is the red hot core of everything that exists. It is what fuels the war. The war is won by those who have the most advanced weaponry and the ability to support and sustain their military forces. It requires money. Building a movement is risky business because that means you are going to piss people off, and when you piss people off they attack. It’s not if, it’s a guarantee. Be willing to take a stand for something and guess what will come to your front castle door? An army to fight you. QUESTION: What is inside your Mega Vault? A Warrior King knows how to Make the Money, Keep the Money and Grow the Money. In This Week's Episode....PRODUCTION Golden Nugget #1: Throw Yourself Under the Bus Most individuals have been taught to look perfect. We actually want to follow people who are not perfect. We want to follow people who fucking execute. When you begin to undress yourself with your words and you expose yourself to the world - when your show your humanity - you do it from power, not from a weak place, not from a victim place, but from a place of energy. Social media is filled with victims. They’re throwing themselves under the bus and asking you to save them. We strategically throw ourselves under the bus so we can show them how we pulled ourselves out: Hey, I was under the bus, I pulled myself out. If you want pulled out from under the bus I might be your guy because I know a few things about being underneath the bus. QUESTION: What are your results from strategically throwing yourself under the bus? Golden Nugget #2: Back Your Message With Money Numbers tell stories. Everybody’s got an idea to lead, everyone wants to build a movement, and everybody wants to build some shit until it costs money. Then you divide the posers from the players. The players know that no movement exists without money. Money is what pushes your message out into the world so that others can see it; it's what funds the movement and its growth. If you don’t have the courage to back your message with money, what belief do you actually have of your message? Zero. QUESTION: How much money did you back your message with in the last 30 days? Does it back your true commitment to your message or is it lacking? Why or why not? Golden Nugget #3: Your People Are An Asset Right after your advertising is your people. Put some sales in the middle so we can keep the people. Be straight with them, let them know what is happening. Transparency is crucial. You have a powerful group of smart people surrounding you - let them help you. When they are passionate about what you do, they will stay up late and work on things over the weekend with you to fix shit. QUESTION: What steps will you take today to create a transparent environment? What belief or story do you need to let go of in order to make this happen? Golden Nugget #4: Advertising: The Habit That Sets You Free Advertising is the arching bridge that will set you free in building a movement. Your current networks are too small to go find the people with the problems in the pain who want the pleasurable possibility in the pit that you create, who will go the distance to find you. They don’t know you exist. If shit is tight, you take everything you have and double down on marketing. Your only chance out is sales, and you can’t make sales if you don’t market. You pull all the money from advertising but you keep all of your people? That’s a guarantee you are going to have to fire them in six months. QUESTION: How would you define a lead inside your business? How much is a qualified client worth to you and how much are you willing to pay to get one? Golden Nugget #5: You Must Become a Mathematician Math backs my movement. This math and this equation TDS/TL = CPL changed my whole fucking game. This is how Warrior rose. You must become a mathematician. You must fall in love with math. Feelings won’t cut it. Learn to love numbers. If you don’t live by a Code inside your life of telling the fucking truth, it’s impossible to get the math to actually line up. You won’t look at the math at what it really is, you will create fiction around your facts. QUESTION: Do you know your numbers? If not, what are you going to do about it? He learned that the amount of money that he was making is directly linked to his perspective, therefore what he believed in based upon his experience that his vision could only be so big. He learned that when attending business events, the information may be in the room, but the deals happen in the hallways. QUESTION: What is your overall vision? Where do you want to be in 20 years? Golden Nugget #3: Meeting Yourself Much Older Garrett had a custom portrait painted for him that he has in his man cave that looks like an older version of himself, giving him continual inspiration to see himself from a higher perspective of where he wants to be 20 years from now When a man loses his vision, he loses perspective. And when he loses perspective, he loses power. He uses his experience with college football as an example of what happens when we lose our vision after not being clear about our perspective. The mindset of prevention is very similar to a man that doesn't want to lose. In that state, the businessman will lose every time. QUESTION: Who would you have to become to carry out your Vision? Golden Nugget #4: Back and Forth from OC to NYC Garrett's vision has a desire to grow that produces more wealth than any perspective of power that comes from having a vision that consumed him after seeing a condo in NYC that he knows he will have, like the home that he has in OC because he knows that it requires knowing who he has to become to make that happen. If our vision is weak, our power will also lack continuity, which will continue to occur until you are willing to invest in yourself as your own #1 Asset, sharing your Vision with others that you trust to make your Vision become their Vision. When we are clear as a man that takes a stand, elite people will follow. Otherwise, you become the #1 Liability instead. QUESTION: What is preventing you from seeing your overall Vision? In This Week's Episode....PROTECTION Golden Nugget #1: Wake Up to the True Power of Knowing Your Numbers The behaviors and patterns I established when I was a kid as a 'blow it spender' where I was blowing my paper route earnings on ice cream each week, came back to haunt me later in life. How I played out that bowl of ice cream is how I operated within my businesses for years. For my first 10 years as an entrepreneur, I didn't track shit. My books consisted of a year's worth of bank statements thrown into a box that I handed over to my accountant at the end of the year and said: figure it out. I was in the game of producing and spending, while dreading that once a year "day of announcement" when I would find out how much I owed in taxes - money I had already spent. QUESTION: If I asked you today to show me your numbers, would you be able to? Do you have the numbers at your fingertips, or are they virtually non-existent? Golden Nugget #2: Know Your Numbers and You Accelerate a Level of Protection Within Your Kingdom One of the most powerful and fundamental ways to protect yourself inside of the game of building wealth is to know your numbers. If you don't know your numbers, you are making predictions into the future driven on fiction. If you don't know your numbers, you are exposing your business, your future, and your family to famine, because famine is the outcome of building your empire in fantasy. By not having your finger on the pulse called your numbers, you are the single biggest risk factor to your businesses and to your wealth. For years I was caught up in the cycle of build and burn, build and lose. Only when I began giving a shit about protecting what I had built, did that cycle stop. QUESTION: Stepping back and taking a look at where you are today, are you building and protecting your wealth, or are you on the road to famine? Golden Nugget #3: You Must Reside in the Land of Facts, Not Fantasy Men who don't know their numbers live in a land of fantasy and fuckin' make shit up. Fantasy feels nice and inside of it, you can create all kinds of fiction that you want. The fantasy is the place you think you are. The fiction? Those are the lies and stories you tell yourself about where you are. I was managing my businesses driven by the idea of what's in my bank account is the money I actually have. I came to find out that was not actually true. I was making decisions about moves I was going to make based on the fictional version of my numbers, rather than the factual numbers, which I had no idea what they were. QUESTION: What lies and stories are you telling yourself and others about where you are in your business? Golden Nugget #4: I Protect the Kingdom By Having A Vision For the Future When you run out of vision for yourself and your business, shit begins to go sideways. Burned out businessmen do stupid shit. The most dangerous businessman is the one who is creating from a place of boredom where there is no future vision. Maybe you're the guy whose lack of inspiration around the future is literally suffocating the people on your team. As the Chief Visionary Officer, you are the man that protects the game of your business. Everyone is driven off the vision of the mission you say you stand for. If you do not get a grip for yourself of the truth of your numbers and build for yourself a clear vision for your future, you're fucked. If your numbers are weak, unclear, and foggy, you are literally committed to destroying your company. QUESTION: What level of passion and fire do you have around the businesses you are currently in and the role that you are playing within those businesses? Golden Nugget #5: Knowing Your Numbers Allows You to Have a Vault The #1 strategy to maximize the growth phase of money is to stabilize the vault and mote in and around your castle. Stored deep inside the vault within your castle is the capital of your humanity and the capital of your cash - cash that backs up the kingdom. The vault is giving a shit about raising your standard. There's a desperation factor that comes to creating when you are running on borrowed money. Cash at the core of the castle gave me courage to expand the kingdom walls in ways I had never imagined possible, giving me permission to produce at an even bigger fucking level. If you are a married businessman with children, what I'm talking about is a principle called "Raise the Floor." QUESTION: What steps do you need to take in order to begin creating your vault? In This Week's Episode....PRODUCTION Golden Nugget #1: Donating Pinky Toes and The Mindset Angle of Money Your business is a mirror of the power of the person that you allow yourself to be, and the way in which create profit comes down to the mindset that we have about money, which begins with how we were raised. While drinking with my college buddies, we were talking about donating one's pinky toe to science for $25K, and I said, "Yes I would" because of my little to no education about money QUESTION: What was the upbringing that you had in regards to money? Golden Nugget #2: Uncomfortable Having More Money When it came to investing, I learned that once I began making money after reading the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad I found that I didn't know how to handle money once I've made it, even though I was at one point the largest trainer of Robert Kiyosaki's CashFlow events in the Western United States. After a poor investment of $600K, it wasn't until my recovery years after losing even larger amounts of money, I learned an invaluable lesson of build, loss and rebuild. QUESTION: What lessons have you learned from LOSING money? Golden Nugget #3: Money is a Belief System We all approach money from the belief system of abundance or scarcity, but once we see it as a game, we'll be able to solve more problems for more people more frequently and remain in a state of abundance. The ironic thing is that some are extremely uncomfortable with having large amounts of cash sitting inside of their bank accounts, choosing to rather live in scarcity because it was a familiar place to be. QUESTION: Do you look at money from a mindset of scarcity or abundance? Are you OK with large amounts of cash sitting in your bank accounts? Golden Nugget #4: The King's Cash There are different kinds of profit: 1) The Kingdom Cash: Gross Revenue within Business 2) The King's Cash: Take Home Money Selling more does not equal more money and profit. There's a fundamental flaw in which businessmen believe that they keep what's left over after paying all of the other expenses. We look at money differently that's sitting inside of our kingdom and the money sitting in our personal King's account. QUESTION: Do you pay yourself first or last, seeing yourself as your #1 Asset? Golden Nugget #5: I Am Valuable In order for ridiculous amounts of return to occur within my life, I have learned to determine what amount I'm going to take out each month for myself FIRST and put it in what we call The Vault, which we'll talk about in the next episode. Parable #1: Not Finding Fruit in Rabbit Holes Today's Warrior Guest Nick Long shares how he was searching for more over two years ago, told that he needed to check out Wake Up Warrior, and after nearly 4 hours of rabbit holes and videos, he made the phone call with Sam, in which even the price of the ticket didn't dissuade him from doing what he knew he needed to do by attending Warrior Week. Everyone wants to invest in the business instead of within themselves first, and yet as a business owner, you're the tip of the spear and need to learn to be willing to take risks on yourselves. QUESTION: Where have you had to give permission to yourself to spend money on your own personal development? Parable #2: The Facts of the Truth The truth becomes our interpretations of the facts within our life, where Nick had a transformational process of attending two very different Warrior Weeks because he was two very different men each time, seeking radically different things each time; for Warrior Week 22, he was dealing with shame and unworthiness, which then led to truth and vulnerability wanting to bond with other men. Sam then shares an experience of having a phone call with another man that applied for an upcoming Warrior Week, in which through an exchange of conversations, the applicant wasn't sure what he wants after having his wife domineer within their relationship for the past 12 years due to destructive but comfortable patterns that kept showing up. QUESTION: Where are you more comfortable remaining in pain instead of being willing to face the truth in your life? Parable #3: Seeing Inside of the Aggressive Alpha Pit Even though Nick became more willing to be vulnerable to share insights from within his experience at Warrior Week 22, no longer hesitating to invest in himself, he had this recurring theme of unworthiness as a pattern in his life to then take him to Warrior Week 40 to open up further possibilities after going back to the Pit, never thinking he'd allow himself to break commitments and trust within himself again, and yet he did. He was so scared that he'd go back to old patterns and losing his family, he self-manifested fears as an aggressive alpha, going back to old patterns until he was willing to live by the Code and stop lying to himself, unblocking the truth that he had blocked for years. QUESTION: Where do you see patterns of self-sabotage in your life? Parable #4: Conversations About Purpose and Lost Keys Without purpose, nothing that we do will matter. Nick found this ripped open within his second experience at Warrior Week 40, that his purpose, his WHY, is leading his family. Sam likens this to an experience that he had looking for keys, he learned that he had to retrace his literal steps, pleading to God to help him, feeling His presence for the first time, finding the keys right under his foot, confirming to him that God is listening to him, which shifted everything that he believes to this day, feeling joy in that confirmation. QUESTION: Where have you had to retrace steps in your life in order to find keys to unlock doors that have remained locked in your life? Parable #5: Facing the Biggest Lie with the Glue of Truth As simple as it sounds, Nick found that the greatest gift he's been able to give himself to awaken the greatest power within himself is to tell the truth. When he chose to stop lying to himself that everything was OK, he found that it's not easy to strip away everything that he has, creating a massive shift in everything that he does now by seeing his family as his glue to keep him together. There are no blueprints for wounded children to become fulfilled fathers after they grow up until they are able to lead themselves. This occurs by listening to the Voice inside of yourself and confronting the biggest lie that you've been telling yourself, whatever it may be. QUESTION: What is your biggest fear? What is holding you back from telling the truth within you? Parable from the Pit: "We're willing to invest in our business, but the number one asset as entrepreneurs is to invest in ourselves. We're the tip of the spear. In This Week's Episode.... Your host Sam Falsafi has Warrior Guests on the call to discuss how important it is to stop fucking lying, and the first person to start with is ourselves. Parable #1: Dark Periods of Fog and Stuck In the Same Motions After watching some Warrior marketing videos, Rusty Rahm wanted to learn more until he had a phone interview with Sam shortly after he contacted him, feeling darkness on the inside even though everything on the outside looked ideal, not knowing how to get out of the fog that he had within. This effected his son Christian into escaping from reality and choosing to be disconnected with sedations in order to escape the Pain, in which neither one of them knew where to find a solution. QUESTION: Where do you have pain in your life that you don't have a solution for? Parable #2: The Process of The Shift The Pain behind the Stories becomes part of the process of The Shift that is required within us all, and for Rusty, being the owner of so many businesses he wasn't really used to being called out and yelled at by another man, breaking the ice that he wasn't alone, beginning the process towards healing after declaring facts that have impacted his life for years. Rusty was initially supposed to join Warrior Week 35, but he knew he had to stay with his son when they began to open up with their emotions, sharing a message from Coach Sam to Christian, seeing it as an amazing gift that came about through discovering tools (see video below Parable #4). QUESTION: Who do you have in your life that can hold you accountable? Parable #3: A Long-Lasting Leader Listens to The Voice Even after the breakthrough that Rusty and Christian had while in the hospital, there was doubt within Rusty that the progress wasn't going to last, but he learned through the tools he gained before he even attended his own Warrior Week helped master ignoring the voices inside of his head that told him he couldn't change. Instead, he heard, "Here's your shot. Keep going." And he did. Rusty found a way to stop numbing the pain that he had for decades, creating a new frame to have his children follow him in leadership, even after having his own recovery with disk surgery in his neck for Warrior Week 36. QUESTION: Who is affected by your leadership? Is is leadership that is serving them to become leaders as well? Why or Why Not? Parable #4: The Pain Of Operating Alone Getting Replaced with a Daily Life Script All of the men that come into Warrior Week come into the program to deal with the feeling of mentally being alone, which comes about through listening to The Voice, which comes from within everyone's heart for a Higher Source, guiding us towards Gifts. The death of Rusty happened with his neck surgery, and the Warrior of Rusty became born, which spread itself over to Christian through Warrior X to keep getting better. What can I do for myself today? What can I do for my wife today? What can I do for my children today? What can I do for my business today? Parable #5: Two Ways to Lead as a Father There are two ways that you can lead your children through example as a father: 1-Lead through Sedation, whether it's hidden or not, picked up energetically by your children, OR 2- Lead through Power, creating frames for your children for empowerment based off of what you've discovered within yourself. Within Warrior, we call that 2nd Leadership living the Warrior's Way. The Patterns that Christian saw within Rusty that led him to Warrior X 10.0 is still felt today: "Be the first in the game" and "Go all in." It was the hardest reality to face for Christian, but it changed his outlook in life that he didn't need to hide from himself anymore. QUESTION: What kind of power are you projecting towards others? Parable from the Pit: "There's this huge fog of avoidance that's taking place in society, and it begins in the home. This acceptance of avoidance through looking down at our phones instead of interacting with each other resides in our house with our closest relationships." --Sam Falsafi "I got the tools that I've been searching so long for right inside of me. It took going to some really dark places through Warrior Week, but when I learned to trust the Voice inside of me, it takes me to whole other level. I was on the verge of divorce in 2016, yet in 2017 going through the Warrior program, it was the best year of marriage that I've ever had. I trusted the process and realized that I was only operating at 30% across the board. I was always searching for this mythical ATM Machine that would set me free, not realizing that the #1 Asset that I could ever invest in was me. The reality of retirement plans comes down to investing money into other people's businesses, with little return for you. Instead, investments made in yourself and the people within your business will give you a far higher ROI then you'd ever get from various other investment plans. QUESTION: Where are you currently focusing your ROI? Golden Nugget #3: Looking at Ridiculous Numbers After breaking down the amount spent in passive income that comes from investments like stock or real estate to instead hiring another person to help build the business brings a ridiculous ROI difference, you will find people investing in YOU instead of investing in others. Hiring MORE people to bring out the vision that you have in expanding your market has been proven to bring tens of thousands of dollars MORE revenue into your life. QUESTION: What is one thing that you can see would be a productive move by investing in you? Golden Nugget #4: Investing in the Business of You The man who can make it rain controls the game, meaning that by producing leads, you are able to open the gate in which your leads come to you based off of how you have invested in marketing. To become a Master Marketer is comes down to literally declaring it: "I am a Marketer." The way you believe money is and the way you believe life is is driven by the way you react to marketing. QUESTION: What marketing do you think influenced you to listen to this podcast? Golden Nugget #5: "I am a Marketer. I am a Closer. The greatest liability and asset inside of your world is YOU: Time under tension and a belief in oneself is the #1 Asset an investor can learn. QUESTION: What are the Assets and Liabilities within you? Golden Nugget #2: Deal with the Scarcity Virus to Build Empires and Kingdoms Building successful businesses comes about by seeing yourself that generates power, but it will not deliver up lasting results if you try to find the power outside of yourself, giving yourself permission to make, save and protect money. The Scarcity Virus is this belief that there's only a certain amount of things in your life, and when it comes to money as something that you never feel like you have inside of or around you, you will never see a world of prosperity, which was broken down in Robert Kiyosaki's book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad for Garrett that the greatest risk to his wealth was his psychology. QUESTION: Do you see the way in which you make money from the place of scarcity or prosperity? Why? Golden Nugget #3: Exposed to Prosperity Instead of Scarcity Garrett's wife was raised in prosperity and exposed him to a whole new life that he had never known existed, seeing that abundance was a mindset. Your psychology is linked up to your capacity, and your ability to do is driven by your capacity and your power that you have as an idea of being a powerful creator to produce more to become more. QUESTION: What is your psychology behind wealth? Is it scarcity driven or prosperity driven? Why? Golden Nugget #4: Using Suits to Hide For years Garrett avoided wearing suits because he used to wear them to hide, a symbol that masked the truth inside of him, no matter how much he made, feeling like he was never enough. Now he wears suits because he likes them. Garrett will put his money on the guy that has fire and potential to learn what is required because of the power that he is accessing inside over the "educated" men that seem to have all of the answers because I have the thing that money can't buy, which is certainty inside of myself. It's the only currency that matters inside of a businessman today QUESTION: What did you have to go through in order to gain certainty within yourself? If you lack certainty, what would bring that out within you? Golden Nugget #5: Uncovering The Warrior's Way Piece by Piece and Bit by Bit It took everything falling apart for Garrett to find answers within himself after no longer being able to find them anywhere else, asking himself, "What is it that makes me feel powerful?" From 2009-2012 he sought the formula, convinced that life could be measured and rebuilt back to certainty and power, going back to the basics until he found a surge of energy come to him that created what is now known as the Core 4 (Body, Being-Spirituality, Balance-Family, which came later, and Business). Parable #1: Getting Punched in the Face with Applications for Worthiness Warrior Guest Dan Bednarski joins Sam Falsafi about not feeling worthy enough to become part of Warrior because nothing that he was doing was working in his life, wondering if he was even capable of doing in the application interview. The first question that is asked within the Warrior Week application interview is about being punched in the face, to find out that it's not talking about being punched physically but in other areas of life being punched, having the pain arise. QUESTION: Have you ever been punched in the face by another man? Parable #2: Confronting A Flood of Emotional Pain Dan could feel within his bones that the life that he knew and had grown accustomed to was going to fall apart, and there was nothing left from that world leading into Warrior Week, which made him feel unworthy for everything else. When it comes to Pain, no one really wants to hear your story, and part of that is because you need to face that Pain yourself. This is where we are dying without killing ourselves, having to live through this death of an old version of yourself and become reborn from it, paralyzing us until we change our perspective. No one can do that for us, nor do others want to be in the Pit with us either. QUESTION: Where in your life are you lying? Parable #3: Stop Pretending that You're Significant We may not have courage to visit the Pit until we realize that we need to stop pretending that we have any significance in being alone, realizing that others have Pits that they have buried within them as well. Loneliness is contagious because it's constantly being projected on your kids and wife, in which they feel the certainty or the hiding within you, regardless of how much you're trying to put on a mask. QUESTION: What is the pain that you have continued to hide from? Parable #4: Leadership Starts by Telling the Fucking Truth Your stories and assumption to protect your family from the truth is not only hurting you, but your family. Systematically, you must choose to rise from this place of lies that hasn't been serving anyone. Sam shared the last lie that he made back in 2014 to talk about the toxic energy that lies send out to the universe. The truth is a simple place to be, but it becomes one of the most difficult decisions to make when you start putting assumptions around it that it's OK to remain in the lie in order to protect others from who you are. QUESTION: Where do you need to be ruthless and relentless in pushing yourself towards the truth? Parable #5: The Pit of Being Alone Dan's Pit is being alone and going back to his experience at Warrior Week two years ago has become visceral, because they will never go away, having an opportunity to accept a different reality once he learned how to get out of the Pit. Feeling the Purpose for the Pit, there's a possibility that is seen for a greater version of yourself, having no idea how to get there, there's a feeling of pushing through it by being willing to DO THE WORK. You have to go through hell in order to get back; there's no other option. QUESTION: What possibility is out there for you? What is the purpose behind the Pain you are going through? Parable from the Pit: "Masculinity is about feeling the fucking pain that you've gone through. The most hurtful and paralyzing feeling that a man can feel is that feeling of being alone. Many have created assumptions and justifications for feeling alone, creating stories that are living in a fantasyland that no one else wants to go into with you. When a man decides to step into the Pit for the first time, it doesn't matter how great the pain is...we all have this common pain inside of the Pit that we feel alone because we're operating alone. In This Week's Episode.... Golden Nuggets for financial wealth to Make the Money, Keep the Money and Grow the Money with your host, Garrett J White. Golden Nugget #1: The DTFW Topic Money was the topic that started me down the path of business, having not being raised with money. They gave me a commitment to work my ass off, which created the phrase: "Do the fucking work" within Warrior, or DTFW Golden Nugget #2: Reaching the Gateway for Wealth I had a desire for wealth but didn't know how to get there, firmly believing that it's part of my stewardship as a man in society to make money. I saw money as a gateway for wealth, only thinking that sports would be the way for me to get there, in which society states that the value within a man comes down to his ability to produce. Golden Nugget #3: Opportunities to See that Money Matters Getting what I wanted came about very differently from what I initially planned as a successful football player becoming a high school coach trying to figure shit out. Though I had fire and intensity, I asked myself, "Is this what I was born to do?" Golden Nugget #4: Questioning the Way Life is Seen as Rich and Poor When we have the courage to allow questions to enter our mind, I was able to find the answer in the book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. This book challenged me to divide my world into two different categories and a clear distinction between the concept of what it means to be rich and what it means to be poor. Golden Nugget #5: Stressed About Monthly Commitments Under the Lie that Money Doesn't Matter I went from being stressed out about consistently paying for monthly commitments, acting like money doesn't matter. There are people that have never made money and those that have never had to work for it that disrespect the topic of money. Golden Nugget #6: The Results of What a Man Values Like the scripture, "By their fruits ye shall know them," I learned what DTFW meant within me, building an Empire for myself, hitting levels of prosperity that I never would have imagined within my life. I have shared the stage with Tony Robbins, but was an arrogant prick that hadn't built and lost anything talking about wealth in 2006 compared to the rebuilding that I've experienced now in 2018. Golden Nugget #7: Blacking Out While Surfing I had a near death experience while surfing that taught me a lot in regards to the exposure within myself what still needed to be worked on I was told that it won't be the last time that I experience waves like that, but that I needed to learn how to surf smarter. The same goes for having the conversation about money. Golden Nugget #8: Building a Movement Out of Chaos Get the Money, Make the Money and Keep the Money all backs its way into Power. I didn't have the capacity to lead my teams to build a Movement out of the chaos Most men will fuck up what is required to be done because they lack the power daily, weekly and monthly to do what must be done when it comes to making money.
