In this week's episode of You Time, Nastastia Scott, the founder of Moms Who Chill, sit down to talk some real talk about pregnancy and motherhood. We dive deep into what it means to cancel snapback culture, and what snapback culture is in the first place. This episode is a must-listen for new or expecting moms. About Nastasia: HI! My name is Nastasia. I am a mom of two boys, business owner, and certified life coach. I am a former teacher as well as a former model. My work’s purpose is helping women set and achieve their goals, build true and sustainable confidence, and personal identity. I also want to break society’s expectations of mothers, which is what led me to create the Cancel Snapback Culture movement. Snapback culture is the pressure society can place on mothers to “bounce back” to their pre-baby bodies shortly after giving birth. The Cancel Snapback Culture movement is about not rushing ourselves to look the way we once did, because when we become mothers, we become new in so many ways. The Cancel Snapback Culture tees and sweatshirts are available on my site www.threadconnectionco.com (search Cancel Snapback Culture in the search bar) . My blog Moms Who Chilll , is community of moms who just want to make mom life easier for us all. There we focus on honest motherhood, and living authentically, while sharing mom hacks and tips. Welcome Shannon Rollins to the podcast where we talk about keeping your work and family life in balance. As Entrepreneurs we tend to work long hours and NEVER EVER take time for ourselves. We talk about how you MUST have some YOU TIME and how to do it without feeling guilty!
Hey girl hey! I'm so excited today to share with you the update to the podcast. The podcast has been around for just over a year now, and as you know I was extremely excited about launching it last year around my birthday that I whipped that thing out in no time fast, but if I may be honest with you, I didn't think it all the way through. You see, last year, I was reacting to a demand, which isn't all bad, but I didn't take the time to really strategize how I wanted to the show to 1) be found, 2) build community and 3) last. If I can have another completely transparent moment, I believe there was a little bit of ego around the show and when I named the show and published it I published it around me as the person, and that's NEVER what I meant the show to be. The podcast is a safe place for women that are wives, mothers, or bosses, to come together and have real-life conversations around stuff that matters, stuff that keeps us awake at night, our challenges, and our successes. I've always envisioned the show to be about the women that listen to the show not about me as the host, and I didn't follow my own BRANDING advice and develop for the culture. I developed for me, and God dealt with me for it. I could never get comfortable in the way the show was showing up in the world. The guest's stories are so amazing and so enlightening and I always felt like they were hidden behind me, so I decided to press pause on the episodes and regroup. Now while I was regrouping, life happened and the family abruptly had to move to a completely different city so getting this back together kinda took a back seat until I could get us stable again, and I'm happy to say that we are stable, and I'm ready to jump back on this horse, but this time do it the right way, which is all about you. What is HER 360... So what is HER 360 exactly? I'm glad you asked, in today's episode I'm going to break it down for you and explain my heart behind the change and I'll do my best to explain the vision here below. HER 360 is more than just a podcast, for me, I feel like the podcast is a place that will start the conversation but it doesn't stop there. For me, HER 360 is a movement, it's a declaration that we as women can live FULL, DIVERSE, & BALANCED LIVES, and chase the desires of our hearts, of course with strategy. HER 360 gives us permission to zig when everyone is zagging and stand in our truth's a live them freely. As a mother, it's so easy to get lost in what's happening with nurturing your family that you forget about you. You forget that your period is coming this week and you may need some extra "YOU TIME" this week and the kids can wait. Sometimes you can forget that maybe you're multi-faceted and that pursuing what's important to you right now is ok, even if it means that the kids can't get everything they WANT while you get it. You can easily forget that while you became 1 with your husband to fulfil GOD's plan for your life, that GOD didn't strip you of your own interest and it's ok to have them. You can forget that work requires boundaries and it doesn't define who you are. You are who you are separate of all those things, and self-awareness is necessary in order for everything else to work. And for me, HER 360 helps us define that and gives us the community around us to support us along the journey. The Community In addition to the podcast, it was important for me to ensure that HER 360 was a community. It was important to me that HER 360 connected beyond just the show that there is a place where women can connect with the women that inspire them and build meaningful relationships that connect beyond the show. I'm an introverted person by I thrive when I have a community around me that gets me and cheers me along and corrects me when I can get out of pocket, and I want HER 360 to be that for you. This is YOUR place, I'm just the facilitator of the conversation.

Believe it or not, getting your hands on a fertility hormone test isn’t always an easy thing to do. In fact, most doctors will not test your fertility hormones unless you’ve been actively trying to conceive for a year or more. That means if you want a snapshot of your overall hormone health, it’s going to be pretty tough (and expensive) to convince a doctor to order a lab for you. Enter: Modern Fertility Modern Fertility is putting the power of fertility hormone testing back in the hands of the women who want it most. The best part? It’s a fraction of the cost of a traditional lab and the test can take place right in the comfort of your own home. In This Week's Episode....POWER Golden Nugget #1: Assets and Liabilities Defined As you may recall about Garrett's background regarding money, he started searching for purpose and the topic of Power, linked with the principle of having a #1 Asset, getting used to being told no and learning about how to deal with rejection. An Asset brings value to the table and a Liability takes the value away. The greatest liability and asset inside of your world is YOU: Time under tension and a belief in oneself is the #1 Asset an investor can learn. QUESTION: What are the Assets and Liabilities within you? Golden Nugget #2: Deal with the Scarcity Virus to Build Empires and Kingdoms Building successful businesses comes about by seeing yourself that generates power, but it will not deliver up lasting results if you try to find the power outside of yourself, giving yourself permission to make, save and protect money. The Scarcity Virus is this belief that there's only a certain amount of things in your life, and when it comes to money as something that you never feel like you have inside of or around you, you will never see a world of prosperity, which was broken down in Robert Kiyosaki's book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad for Garrett that the greatest risk to his wealth was his psychology. QUESTION: Do you see the way in which you make money from the place of scarcity or prosperity? Why? Golden Nugget #3: Exposed to Prosperity Instead of Scarcity Garrett's wife was raised in prosperity and exposed him to a whole new life that he had never known existed, seeing that abundance was a mindset. Your psychology is linked up to your capacity, and your ability to do is driven by your capacity and your power that you have as an idea of being a powerful creator to produce more to become more. QUESTION: What is your psychology behind wealth? Is it scarcity driven or prosperity driven? Why? Golden Nugget #4: Using Suits to Hide For years Garrett avoided wearing suits because he used to wear them to hide, a symbol that masked the truth inside of him, no matter how much he made, feeling like he was never enough. Now he wears suits because he likes them. Garrett will put his money on the guy that has fire and potential to learn what is required because of the power that he is accessing inside over the "educated" men that seem to have all of the answers because I have the thing that money can't buy, which is certainty inside of myself. It's the only currency that matters inside of a businessman today QUESTION: What did you have to go through in order to gain certainty within yourself? If you lack certainty, what would bring that out within you? Golden Nugget #5: Uncovering The Warrior's Way Piece by Piece and Bit by Bit It took everything falling apart for Garrett to find answers within himself after no longer being able to find them anywhere else, asking himself, "What is it that makes me feel powerful?" From 2009-2012 he sought the formula, convinced that life could be measured and rebuilt back to certainty and power, going back to the basics until he found a surge of energy come to him that created what is now known as the Core 4 (Body, Being-Spirituality, Balance-Family, which came later, and Business). QUESTION: What makes you feel powerful? If the King doesn't rise, the Kingdom dies! Quote of the Week: "One of the greatest challenges when it comes to the business of wealth has little to do with tactics and tools and a lot to do with the commitment within you. It's not about the lack of knowing what to do, but not having the courage and power required to produce the results that you desire. When it comes to building wealth, the one place you need to build stability is the stability inside of YOU." --Garrett J White http://warriorwealth.com

This is session number 135 of the Absolute Mind podcast and this was a request. You know who you are so thank you and I really do hope you receive value from it. This show is all about recovering from a break up with your partner. Weight Loss Offer Some Ideas of How To Get Over a Break-Up 1. Remind Yourself of Everything and Be Real It's very easy to think back to an old relationship and only thing of all of the amazing times. This is catastrophizing thinking and only leads one way.... To feeling worse. Be honest about the good of course and be pleased about it, but also remember the bad and the downright ugly and embarrassing. 2. Allow Yourself Some Time and Space When you think about all of the emotions that come up after a relationship breakdown. You really need to bear in mind that this will take some time to recover. Give yourself some breathing space, your brain will be going over thinking about things like the frustration, the anger to hurt or the pain. all of these are not helpful in any way, but they will present themselves in the early days the time and space really are your friend. People work through emotions in various different ways, but one thing is sure in the early days the feelings are most present will be sadness and upset. Expect this, but don't beat yourself up about it an important fact to understand about this grieving process for an ex is that as each day passes, those feelings will begin to subside and you will begin to feel better. 3. Time for You Relationships mean that two people come together in some way. Now there must be a benefit in being on your own and finding yourself once more! What I'm suggesting here is that there is time to rediscover yourself, and find the you that you really are. Relationships are all about finding a happy medium, and doing what's right for you, your partner and overall the relationship. when you not bound by these restrictions you can really begin to find the true you. You may be fortunate enough that the true you is the one you see every morning in the mirror now. But in most cases, people hold back in certain ways and don't find their true self when they're in a relationship. So spend some time to find the true, real you. 4. Time for You Time for Change We are creatures of habit, this is one of the problems where the relationship breaks down because a part of our habits and our routine suddenly disappears. The phone doesn't ring when it used to, the texts don't ping at lunchtime and life changes cried dramatically. This sudden change in circumstance and situation means that your life does change, but if the breakdown was not your choice, then it can feel like your life is falling apart around you. So it's time to take charge, spend some time doing things that you wouldn't normally do, or didn't used to have the time to do. They could be things like salsa dancing going to the gym learning a new skill. Now don't see these as ways to distract yourself, is more like ways to improve and become a better version of yourself, because you're actively using your time as you choose to. 5. Questions Are The Answer The quality fo your questions defines the quality of your feelings. Beware of faulty questions loops. Why Me? Who will they go out with now? Will they be better? Change those types of questions to: Why am I better because of that relationship? What have I learned about myself? What changes do I want to make in my next relationship?

When I talk to parents of sassy, spirited, and strong-willed children they use one word to describe themselves: exhausted. I can totally relate and I think you can, too. It is a tiring to be a parent of a sassy, spirited, and strong-willed child. First, you have their intense emotions to deal with, then you have the constant disciplining, most likely you also have power struggles, high energy, and button-pushing as well. This can leave ANY parent feeling completely drained. In today's episode we talk about parent self-care, how critical it is, and the three most important things you need to do to stay sane while raising your sassy, spirited, or strong-willed child. LISTEN ABOVE OR READ THE SUMMARY BELOW Self-care In case you don't know what self care is, here is a quick definition for you: Self-care is any activity that you do voluntarily which helps you maintain your physical, mental or emotional health. It can help you feel healthy, relaxed and ready to take on your work and responsibilities. Why self-care is critical There are so many reasons self-care is critical. Taking care of yourself is critical to your mental and physical health. It is what allows you to be the type of parent you want to be. It's also what allows you to feel happy and content even though you are raising a more challenging to raise child. When you are running low on self-care, it becomes really challenging to care for your kids. You may find yourself being less patient, less engaged, less happy, and a less effective parent all around. While it is SO hard to give yourself permission to care for yourself while there is so much demand on your time, it is absolutely essential for your long-term happiness. The Three Most Important Things You Must Do to Care for Yourself Eat well: we need good fuel to be able to keep up with your little sidekicks! Let's face it, they have more energy in their pinky fingers than we do in our entire bodies! If we neglect eating well, we won't be able to keep up, we may get sick, our blood sugar will be low, and we will all be HANGRY! I know that no one wants to be around me when I'm hangry. Exercise: Ah, the "E" word. Luckily, for self-care you don't need to do anything crazy rigorous to release happy endorphins. Studies show that a daily fifteen minute walk around the block reduces stress, depression, and anxiety. We can all do fifteen minutes. Do yoga, jog, walk, bike, punch a pillow, whatever. Just find something that you love and get moving! Sleep: Mike talks about this in our episode, but I wanted to add that I went to a conference taught by a neuroscientist, and the studies behind the need for sleep were incredible. Just like exercise, getting adequate hours of sleep can reduce stress, depression, and anxiety significantly. We often cut into our sleeping time staying up late enjoying "no kid" time. I wish we didn't have to choose between adequate sleep and more episodes of This Is Us, but the reality is, we do. And if the scientists were to tell you which would keep you happy longer, they would tell you to ditch the Netflix and go to sleep. How to Find Pockets of Time for "You Time" Quiet Time It's OK to have a designated quiet time everyday. This won't work for everyone's schedule, but if you can make it work for you, do it. Establish a half hour that you teach your child to play on their own while you do something that is strictly self-care. Oh, this is so hard for me. First, getting my child to play on their own is tough, but if you do it consistently you will eventually train them. Second, I have a tough time sitting down to read a book when I have dirty dishes on the counter. However, we now have permission from a therapist to TAKE A BREAK. Other Pockets of Time You can also use times when your kids are watching a show, playing with friends, taking a nap, or down for the night to care for yourself.
