Acts 9.17 NLT Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” I find this declaration from Ananias one of the most moving sentences in the whole of the Bible. He had been asked by God to go and meet Saul. Ananias was fully aware of Saul's reputation and that he was on a mission to arrest the followers of Jesus. He was bound to think that there must be some mistake. But the Lord informed him that Saul had been appointed to take the Gospel to the non-Jewish world. In obedience to the Lord and, with considerable courage, Ananias headed off to the house in Straight Street placed his hands on Saul and called him brother. How amazing! This man, who had been doing everything possible to ensure the destruction of the church, had changed so completely that he was now part of the family. He was a brother. The story of Saul's conversion should be a warning to us all not to put a limit on what God can do. I invite you to think of people whom you know who are completely dismissive of Christian faith. Perhaps they laugh at you for your faith. Or they love trying to prove that Christianity is just a lot of sentimental nonsense. Or, like so many people, they are not remotely interested in anything connected with the church. It is very tempting to assume that it is a waste of time sharing our faith with them, and that we should focus our attention on the people who show some interest. I suggest that we need to pray for everyone we know, whether they are interested or not, knowing that God loves everyone and invites them all to follow him, however antagonistic they may be. When someone becomes a Christian, in an instant they become part of the family. They don't need to go through a ceremony first or complete a course of instruction. The moment a person decides to follow Jesus as the Lord of their lives, they are part of God's eternal family. What an amazing miracle! QUESTION: Are you willing to share your Christian faith with people who are opposed to it? PRAYER: Dear Father, thank you that you are a God of miracles and want to welcome everyone to yourself. Amen

Philippians 4.11-13 NLT 'I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.' Advertising is a major influence in the modern world. Its deliberate intention is to stir up discontent. We are continually urged to buy newer, trendier, brighter, faster and more efficient products. Being consistently pounded with these messages it can be difficult to live contentedly but that must surely be the most desirable life of all. To live with contentment is to live a life without strain and stress because things are fine the way they are and don't need to change. Epicurus, the Greek philosopher, said, “He who doesn't find a little enough, will find nothing enough.” There is wisdom in this quotation but Paul wouldn't have agreed with it. His contentment didn't flow from a particular philosophical understanding of life but from his relationship with Christ. Because he was completely secure in his faith it didn't matter what his personal circumstances were. Because of the continual pressures of society and of the changing circumstances of our own lives, it is a daily challenge to live with contentment. However, it can be done just so long as we keep our lives focused on Jesus. I have met many people over the years who have been wonderful illustrations of this. For one reason or another their lives have suddenly changed. Sometimes it is because of a change in their relationships or their finances but I have been particularly moved by those who have suddenly seen their health taken away from them. This is probably the biggest shock of all. How is it possible to continue to be content after the sudden loss of mobility or of eyesight? Miraculously, it is possible but only when we have learnt to focus on Jesus rather than our circumstances. QUESTION: Are you content with your present life, and if not what do you think you could do to become contented? PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the blessing of knowing you. Help me to find such pleasure in my relationship with you that I will always be content. Amen
Episode 32: It's All About People 1. Leaders Find the Right People The first thing that you have to do before training people is to have the right people on the team. Leaders think about the people factor before all else. Once you have the people on your team, then you can start to form a direction, strategy, vision, etc. BOOK: Good To Great, Jim Collins - figure out who is on the team, and then formulate the vision from there. Getting the right people on the team is important, and removing people who do not fit can be just as important. BOOK: Leaders Eat Last, Patrick Lencioni - “For organizations seriously committed to making teamwork a cultural reality, I'm convinced that 'the right people' are the ones who have three virtues in common - humility, hunger, and people smarts.” QUESTION: What kind of people do you have around you at this moment? Are you concerned about getting the right people on the team? 2. Leaders Stay Focused on the Right People “Problems can become opportunities when the right people come together.” - Robert South Leaders are in a relentless pursuit, not to fulfill the vision, but to get the right people and they continue to add to that team during the process of any project. Building into people on a continual basis is the most important thing that you can do. “The team is the star of the team.” - John Wooden 3. Leaders Keep Adding the Right People BOOK: Beauty Queen: Inside the Reign of Avon's Andrea Jung - Deborrah Himsel Andrea Jung says, “Talent is the number one priority for a CEO. You think it's about vision and strategy, but you have to get the right people first.” It doesn't matter if you have all of the vision of the world. If you don't have the right people around you then you really can't do very much with a great vision. QUESTION: Are you following good men and women? "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships." - Michael Jordan MO's Final Thoughts Whether it is John Wooden and the Bruins of the 60s and 70s, Wells Fargo of the 1980s, the Bulls of the 1990s, or a whole slew of winning football coaches over the course of several decades, it is always the people that matter. We never know when the next great talent is going to present himself or herself. “Leaders do two things: They build people, and they build teams.” Start with the people, build the teams, change the world. Pete - formerly known as Simon until Jesus renamed him - was a fisherman with his own fishing business - Simon & Co. One day they experienced a turn around at the hands of Jesus and Pete became one of Jesus most trusted disciples and later, a key leader of the church. In the early years of the church, as it grew, it became more and more uncomfortable for the Jewish community. Clearly God was doing something in them but beyond them as well, and there was certainly some resistance in some parts of the early church. One day Pete, after praying, fell into a trance and had a vision which proved to be crucial in the life of the church. Pete was clearly shown that the church needed to become more inclusive of everyone, both Jew and Gentile. With this vision God challenged the young church to EVOLVE and not ENTRENCH, to become inclusive rather than exclusive.Lesson: Welcome! The Church is welcome to all! It is Inclusive not Exclusive! Think: If Jesus were physically on earth today where or how would he do church?Question: Are you forever evolving or making the case to remain unchanged?
Philippians 1.6 NLT 'I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.' I love the confidence with which Paul writes about the future. When you hear most people talking about the future they are often hesitant and anxious. I'm sure, like me, you have often heard people saying, “Things just keep going from bad to worse,” or “What a terrible world to be brought up in.” Paul is so different. He looks at the Philippians' future from God's perspective and is sure that he won't let them down. He will complete what he has begun. Isn't it wonderful to know that our future is absolutely secure in God's hands? But that knowledge shouldn't cause us to become complacent. Paul certainly wasn't! In chapter three of this letter he talks about straining forward like an athlete (chapter 3.13) so that he could get to know the Lord better. One of the most valuable ways of getting to know God better is through reading the Bible. I hope these notes are helpful to you but I would always encourage you to read more and more of the Bible. Some might find it helpful to read through the Bible in one year and, having done so a few times in recent years, I strongly recommend this. But that's not for everyone and doesn't need to be. What matters is that we find effective ways of getting to know the Bible better and, whether we read a lot or a little, to give time to listening to God. When Paul wrote to his young friend Timothy he told him that, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” (2 Timothy 3.16) Given that the only Scripture available at the time was the Old Testament you will realise how much more blessed we are these days! If you want to become stronger in your Christian life I encourage you to read the Bible, enjoy it and get to know the Lord much better. QUESTION: Are you looking to the future with confidence? PRAYER: Thank you, loving Lord, that my future is entirely secure in your hands. Amen
Episode 27: Leaders Are There When You Need Them All of us have to answer to somebody. “When you own your own business you trade in your boss for a thousand bosses.” Meaning, you are now responsible to anyone who purchases your product or services. It doesn't matter who you are, or where you lie within the chain of the company, you are going to be called upon to lead some time in your career. QUESTION: Are you going to be ready to lead when the time comes? “Roving Leader” can be defined as one who “responds swiftly and effectively” in times of uncertainty or trouble. - Leadership is an Art, Max DePree When it comes time to make a difference, anybody can do that. 1. Roving Leaders Are There When You Need Them “The Brady Six” documentary - even though Tom Brady started as lowest man on the totem pole in the depth chart, he practiced as if he was the starting quarterback. He was going to be ready when he got his chance. One of my favorite books, in fact it is in the top five on my top 50 book list, is a book called, The Magic of Thinking Big: Chapter 2 - “Excusitis” - For every excuse you have, you can and should turn it around and look at it as a reason. Reasons and excuses get the same results. “He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.” Benjamin Franklin You are never going to know exactly what you are called on to do. If you are in the mindframe that you are ready to take action, you will be just fine. 2. Roving Leaders Practice Interdependence Leadership interdependence is, leadership that is not handled carelessly; that which is shared, but never given away. If you truly want to be a person of influence and a leader that others look up to, resolve today that you are never going to put the blame on somebody else. Period. The responsibility falls on you. Roving leadership demands discipline. Discipline is what it takes to get the job done. QUESTION: What does discipline look like in your sphere of influence? “The shortcut to the process is the process.” Coach Nick Saban If you are the person on the team who chooses to have the hard conversation about discipline, people will start to rally behind you. Just you watch. MO's FINAL THOUGHTS: What it comes down to is the condition of your attitude, and the level of competence that you have. These two things together will shape the experience that both you and the people at your company have when it comes to your leadership. When you choose to get rid of excuses and couple that with living in the sweet spot of discipline, this will make you more apt to being an effective roving leader. Morning, afternoon, evening whatever the case may be, Donna here for you personally!QUESTION: Are you running a marathon or a sprint in your life?Running life as a sprinter, we miss the three (3) lifecycles:1. Loses2. Lessons 3. BlessingsLet us take the loses, say you are sprinting through life, trying to make a name for yourself, leaving a legacy for your family or just wanting to be like MIKE. Not saying ambition is a bad thing, but you cannot step or look over people while building your empire.Because one or two things will happen. You will need the person you stepped on, or the person you looked over, may have passed away or on to someone else. The key principle with becoming a WINNER, is that experiencing loses teach you, what is valuable and what is void of value!QUOTE FOR LOSES: "Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself--Paulo CoehoThe lesson cycle seems to have a life of its own, but that is because we keep having to take the same lessons over and over again, then we ask ourselves, why can't I learn something new? Well, the Holy Spirit whispered to me, because you skipped class , that day when I taught that lesson on life. You thought, I will get my BFF to take notes, or catch it on CNN, FOX, or on Twitter, but life doesn't happen on social media outlets, it take place on a personal level. Therefore, the key principle here with becoming a WINNER in the lesson cycle, is that lessons repeated are learn the BEST and can be taught to others but this time in a LEADERSHIP ROLE! That's if you are lucky.....QUOTE FOR LESSONS: "If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time." ---Steve JobsNow, we save the best for last, because God meant for blessing to last!!!We miss our BLESSINGS in this cycle by being a type of flash Gordan, thinking God is too slow, His timing is off, but God the Holy Spirit is conducting a risk assessment of how you handled the last two (2) lifecycles. Because the assessment consist of a transition period which evaluates your "readiness" to become a WINNER , before the transformation from a sprinter to a marathon runner. God wants you to not only obtain the blessings but maintain them too."Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul (mind) prospers." So, as you look at your goals and dreams, write them down in these three lifecycle categories, to see whether or not you are a sprinter or a marathon runner, and make some adjustments accordingly.Excerpts from my book: From Greyhound To A Cap-N-GownSunday, January 1, 2012- I thank God for blessing me to see another year, because of living by faith. Do you use or track biofeedback metrics before using alternate testing with your clients? Can you give the listeners your experiences or common struggles you have seen during menopause/perimenopause stages and body recomposition? What's your experience with metabolic flexibility, especially when it comes to menopause? What is the overall importance of having optimal gut function when we're talking about body composition changes? What would be some symptoms of poor gut health that you've seen most often that need to be addressed? What are three tips or things that you would focus on to improve gut health? Can mindful movement heal buried trauma? "YES", says Pamela Stokes. In today's episode, KJ chats with Pamela, a trauma informed healer with an extensive background in biology, education, movement and music. From early dreams of dancing on Broadway in NYC, to teaching biology as a Science Specialist, Pamela was aware of a constant companion--pain. She sought balm for the discomfort of fibromyalgia through inquiry into neuroscience and sensory-motor training. Absorbing lessons learned in her own recovery, Pamela created a method called Somatic Release--a synthesis of movement, sound and mindfulness for trauma resolution. This conversation is so rich it expanded to grant space as KJ and Pamela touch on everything from Entomology, religion and trauma healing through neuroplasticity. The body speaks its story loud and clear, and Pamela provides counsel on how to truly listen. Part One Takeaways1. Our bodies are a wealth of information. We are impactful and powerful when we bring awareness to our physical vessels. 2. We can release our body's stored energy (in a variety of forms- anger, grief, unaddressed trauma) once we reposition ourselves, turn inward, to actively create new pathways and habits. Robert has since dedicated his life to learning and teaching others the benefits of following a well formulated, ketogenic lifestyle. The lessons learned led to his creation of the Keto Brick, a 1,000 calorie, ketogenic performance meal. Robert now works alongside his wife Crystal and their amazing team to continually create content and add a ton of value within this community. His mission is, and will continue to be, empowering others to believe in themselves and truly tap into their full potential by optimizing their body and mind. Kim Howerton struggled with her relationship with food from the time she was 8. As the years went by and her health problems mounted, she felt at the mercy of her body and out of control with her weight. A dedicated seeker of pleasure, she realised that life in a body that was always in pain was no way to live; that a pleasurable life starts by living in a body that feels good. Enter Keto – a life that has brought together her love of satisfying, delicious foods in a way that makes her actually feel good. In this episode, Rachel, Robert and Kim dissect the concept of metabolic flexibility, today’s dietary pitfalls, metabolic IN-flexibility, food guilt, carbs on a spectrum, keto treats and more! "There's going to be groups of people that do better with moderation and groups of people that do better with elimination. I don't think one is right or wrong...I think it's just very individualized." Robert Sikes "I think one of the enemies of sustainability is dogmatism. I think probably all of us would agree that you have to be at least mentally flexible enough to say, 'Hmm, I wonder if this is still the best thing for me to do?'" Kim Howerton "You have to be very careful when you're tipping this seesaw of moderation because in this day and age, it's just so hard to moderate the hyperpalatable crap that's all around us." Question: Are the concerns about cyanocobalamin exaggerated? I'm not sure what people have said about the dangers. I know that I have been a critic of cyanocobalamin relative to other forms of B12 and then, other people may have used something I said maybe in an exaggerated way. And then there might be just much marketing that I haven't actually been exposed to where people have come up with their own marketing claims around other forms of B12. So my opinion is basically as follows: number one, the amount of cyanide that would be released from taking even high doses of cyanocobalamin is very small. And so I don't think taking cyanocobalamin is dangerous in any context that I can think of so that's number one. But number two, one of our mechanisms for detoxifying cyanide, and it's not the only mechanism, but it's one of the key mechanisms is to join the cyanide, to cobalamin, to pee it out in the urine.Reference: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0026049505001897?via%3Dihub If you would like to be part of the next live Ask Me Anything About Nutrition, sign up for the CMJ Masterpass, which includes access to these live Zoom sessions, a private discussion group, premium features on all my content, and hundreds of dollars of exclusive discounts. Social Scene: Death of Christopher George Latore Wallace, aka ‘Biggie Smalls,’ ‘The Notorious B.I.G,’ or ‘Biggie,’ 54. Childhood & Early Life: Born on May 21, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York, to Voletta Wallace and Selwyn George Latore. His mother was a Jamaican preschool teacher and his father was a politician and welder. His father left the family when he was two years old. He attended the ‘Queen of All Saints Middle School’ where he excelled in English, won many awards, and was given the nickname ‘Big.’ because of his weight, around the age of 10 (1982). He started dealing drugs as early as 12 while his mother went out for work, and she says he adapted a ‘smart-ass’ attitude, while attending high school, but he was still a good student. He dropped out of school at 17 (1989) and gradually got involved in criminal activities. Shortly after dropping out, he was arrested on weapon charges and was sentenced for probation of five years. He was again arrested in 1990 for violating his probation and again a year later for drug dealing in North Carolina. He stayed in jail for nine months. 55. Career: As a teen, he began exploring music and performed with local groups, such as ‘Techniques’ and ‘Old Gold Brothers.’ He made a casual demo tape titled ‘Microphone Murder’ under the name ‘Biggie Smalls.’ The name was inspired from his own stature as well as from a character of a 1975 film ‘Let’s Do it Again.’ The tape was promoted by Mister Cee, a New York based DJ and was heard by the editor of ‘The Source.’ In March 1992 (@19), he was featured in the ‘Unsigned Hype’ column of ‘The Source,’ magazine. Shortly thereafter, he was signed by ‘Uptown Records’. In 1993, when Sean 'Puffy' Combs, a producer/A&R with ‘Uptown Records’ was fired, Biggie Smalls signed with Combs’ ‘Bad Boy Records.’ In August, 1993 (@21), he had his first child T’yanna. To financially support his daughter, he continued to deal drugs. Also in 1993, he worked on the remix of Mary J. Blige’s ‘Real Love.’ While working for ‘Real Love,’ he used the pseudonym ‘The Notorious B.I.G.,’ the name he used for the rest of his career. He followed up with another remix of Blige's ‘What’s the 411’. He debuted as a solo artist in the 1993 film ‘Who’s the Man?’ with the single ‘Party and Bullshit.’ 56. As a solo artist he hit the pop chart in August 1994 (@22) with ‘Juicy/Unbelievable.’ His debut album ‘Ready to Die’ was released in September, 1994, peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200 and was subject to critical acclaim and soon a commercial success. Three singles were released from the album: "Juicy", "Big Poppa", "One More Chance". "Big Poppa" was a hit on multiple charts, peaking at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and also being nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance at the 1996 Grammy Awards. At a time when West Coast hip hop was dominating the mainstream, this album became a huge success, making him a prominent figure in the East Coast hip hop scene. [Side Note: 2 months later in November, Tupac was shot five times in a NYC recording studio]. In July 1995 (@23), the cover of ‘The Source’ magazine featured him along with the caption ‘The King of New York Takes Over.’ 57. Recording of his second album, ‘Life After Death,’ began in September 1995 but was interrupted due to injuries, hip hop disputes, and legal squabbles (much like his friend Tupac). He was in a car accident which hospitalized him for three months. He had to complete rehabilitation and was confined to a wheelchair for a period. The car accident had shattered his left leg and made him dependent on a cane. He was arrested outside a nightclub in Manhattan in March, 1996 (24), for manhandling and threatening to kill two of his fans who were seeking autographs, and again in the middle of the year, he was arrested from his home at Teaneck, New Jersey, for possessing weapons and drugs. On September 7, 1996, Tupac Shakur was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he died six days later. Rumors of Biggie Smalls’ involvement in Shakur’s murder were doing the rounds and were reported immediately. In January 1997, he faced an order to pay 41k for a dispute that occurred in May 1995 where a concert promoter’s friend accused him and his entourage of beating him up. 58. Death: In February 1997, he went to Los Angeles to promote his upcoming album ‘Life After Death’ which was scheduled for March 25th release. On March 7, 1997, he attended the 1997 ‘Soul Train Music Awards’ and presented an award to Toni Braxton. On March 8, he attended the after party at ‘Peterson Automotive Museum,’ hosted by ‘Quest Records’ and ‘Vibe’ magazine. While leaving the party, his truck stopped at a red light, and a black Chevy Impala pulled up alongside it. The Impala's driver, an unidentified African-American man dressed in a blue suit and bow tie, rolled down his window, drew a 9 mm blue-steel pistol, and fired at Wallace's car. Four bullets hit Wallace, and his entourage subsequently rushed him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where doctors performed emergency procedures, but he was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m. He was 24 years old. 59. 16 days after his murder, his double disc album ‘Life After Death’ was released. The album peaked at No. 1 spot on the U.S. charts, ultimately went 11× Platinum, was nominated for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Solo Performance for its first single "Hypnotize", and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for its second single "Mo Money Mo Problems" at the 1998 Grammy Awards. In 2012, the album was ranked at No. 476 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Biggie has been described as ‘the savior of East Coast hip hop’ by some and ‘greatest rapper of all time’ by others. 60. Tupac and Biggie Best Frenemies: Biggie's first single, “Party and Bulls**t” came out in 1993. By that year, Tupac was already a platinum-selling artist, so Biggie asked a drug dealer to introduce him to Tupac at a Los Angeles party, according to the book 'Original Gangstas...' by Ben Westhoff. An intern who worked with Biggie recalled the meeting. “'Pac walks into the kitchen and starts cooking for us. He's in the kitchen cooking some steaks,”. “We were drinking and smoking and all of a sudden ‘Pac was like, ‘Yo, come get it.’ And we go into the kitchen and he had steaks, and French fries, and bread, and Kool Aid and we just sittin’ there eating and drinking and laughing...that's truly where Big and ‘Pac’s friendship started.” There was mutual respect between the two and Biggie would crash on Tupac’s couch when he was in California and Tupac would always stop by Biggie’s neighborhood when he was in New York. In essence, they were like any other pair of friends and both of them respected the other's talent. At the 1993 Budweiser Superfest at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, they freestyled together. Biggie often turned to Tupac for advice in the business, and even asked him to manage his career. But Tupac advised him to, "stay with Puff. He will make you a star.” 61. The first big fallout happened when they were scheduled to work on a project together for another rapper, Little Shawn. Tupac arrived at Times Square’s Quad Recording Studios on November 30, 1994, and was getting ready to head upstairs to where Biggie and Combs were. But instead, Tupac was gunned down in the lobby and shot five times. Tupac reportedly believed that Biggie had prior knowledge of the attack and that he also knew who was behind it. "He really thought when he got shot the first time, not that Big set it up or anything, just Big didn't tell him who did it," Tupac's friend and Naughty by Nature frontman Treach told MTV News in June 2010. "In his heart, he was like, 'The homie knows who did it.' Biggie might have wanted to just stay out of it, like, 'I don't know nothing.' [Tupac] was like, 'Yo, man, just put your ear to the street. Let me know who hit me up.'" Despite Tupac's claims, Biggie remained adamant that he had been loyal to his friend. "Honestly, I didn't have no problem with [Tupac]," Biggie previously said. "I saw situations and how sh*t was going, and I tried to school [Tupac]. I was there when he bought his first Rolex, but I wasn't in the position to be rolling like that. I think Tupac felt more comfortable with the dudes he was hanging with because they had just as much money as him." 62. Still, Tupac's suspicions were only heightened when Biggie released "Who Shot Ya?" a month after Tupac's attack. Biggie claimed that he wrote the song "way before Tupac got shot," but the rapper took it as Biggie's confession. "Even if that song ain't about it, you should be, like, 'I'm not putting it out, 'cause he might think it's about him,'" Tupac said in an interview with Vibe while incarcerated for an unrelated charge. 63. When Tupac joined Death Row Records, the East Coast-West Coast rivalry was cemented. While Tupac was incarcerated for another incident, he came to believe Biggie knew about the attack ahead of time. The west coast rapper reached out to Suge Knight, who offered him a place on his Death Row Records roster. Tupac accepted, cementing the rivalry between Knight's label and Combs’ Bad Boy Records. “Any artist out there that wanna be an artist, stay a star, and won’t have to worry about the executive producer trying to be all in the videos, all on the records, dancing—come to Death Row!” Knight proclaimed at that 1995 Source awards show. 64. There was never proof that Biggie or Combs knew about the incident. But a couple of months later, Biggie’s B-side single was a track called “Who Shot Ya?” which led to Tupac’s response with the song, “Hit ‘Em Up.” In it, Tupac claimed he slept with Biggie’s wife, Faith Evans. According to Vibe, Evans denied the claim, saying, “That ain’t how I do business.” 65. Open Comments: 66. Question: What Notable deaths hit you pretty hard? Her father spent a considerable period in jail, vanished altogether in 1975, and only returned twenty years later. Her mother, a much respected actress in the local theatre, raised the children with the help of her own mother and her mother-in-law. Erica spent a lot of time with these ladies while her mother was busy on the stage. Erica was born the eldest of 3. Although they were comparatively poor Erica never realized that because everything was neat and clean. Despite the absence of her father, she had a very happy childhood, surrounded by uncles, aunts, grandmothers and cousins. Her mother imbibed in her daughters a love for music, playing the songs of Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder to them. Erica inherited her mother’s artistic traits and a desire to perform. She would often sing in front of the mirror pretending that she was a background singer for Chaka Khan. She would also make her grandmother sit up and watch her while she sang, danced and acted. In 1975, Erica first appeared on stage, performing with her mother at Dallas Theatre Centre and by seven, she started learning to play the piano. Her favorite song was ‘The Greatest Love of All’. Another important aspect of her character was that from her childhood she loved to be in control of the situation around her. Therefore, when it was time for elementary schooling, she refused to continue her education there, mainly because she found that in school she was no longer in control. She began her formal education at a grade school, where her talent was quickly recognized. In her First Grade, she appeared in ‘Annie’, skipping and singing the song ‘Somebody Snitched On Me.’ During the summer vacations, she sang at the choir of the First Baptist Church, honing her choral skills.Along with acting and singing, little Erica also began to expand her cultural horizon, attending different festivals, especially Harambee Festival in South Dallas, slowly developing an interest in African culture and dress. The tall headgear she would wear one day originated from these visits. 113. In 1980, she was enrolled in a dancing troupe. Later she also learned formal ballet. By 1982, she had also started rapping. When it was time to attend high school, she chose Dallas' Booker T. Washington High School, an arts-oriented magnet school. While studying there she rejected what she considered to be a slave name, changing the spelling of Erica to Erykah and replacing Wright with Badu. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at the Grambling State University, a historically black institution in Grambling, Louisiana, studying theatre until 1993. Thereafter, she returned to Dallas without completing her degree, mainly to concentrate on music. 114. Career: In 1993, Erykah Badu started her career as a music teacher in Dallas. For a time, she also taught drama and dance at South Dallas Cultural Centre. To augment her income, she also served as waitress. She also formed a hip-hop duo with her cousin Robert Free Bradford, calling it ‘Erykah Free’. Very soon, they started going on musical tours and earning local opening slots. Her big chance came when in 1994 (@23), Erykah opened a show for D’Angelo. Through him, she caught the attention of Kedar Massenburg, an American record producer and founder of Kedar Entertainment. Impressed, he set her up to record a duet, ‘Your Precious Love' with D'Angelo. In 1995, she signed a contract with Kedar Entertainment and moved to Brooklyn. In January 1996, she made her debut with ‘On & On’, which remained at the number-one position on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for two weeks. In 1996, Erykah also recorded her debut album, ‘Baduizm’. Released on February 11, 1997 by Kedar Records, The Grammy award-winning album received universal acclaim from critics, who not only praised the musical style of the album, but also her ‘artistic vision’, establishing her position as the torchbearer of soul music. Her next album, ‘Live’ was a live album released on November 18, 1997, barely a month after the release of its lead single, ‘Tyrone’. It was also a huge hit and reached number four on the US Billboard 200 and number one on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. While ‘Live’ was being recorded Badu was pregnant with her first child. After its release, she took some time off to raise her child, not returning until 1999. 115. Open Comments: 116. Jackson (Louis Batiste), Jurnee Smollett (Eve Batiste), Lynn Whitfield (Roz Batiste), Debbi Morgan (Mozelle Batiste Delacroix), Vondie Curtis Hall (Julian Grayraven), Meagan Good (Cisely Batiste) and Diahann Carroll (Elzora). 118. Review #1: “...As these images unfold, we are drawn into the same process Eve has gone through: We, too, are trying to understand what happened in that summer of 1962, when Eve's handsome, dashing father--a doctor and womanizer--took one chance too many. And we want to understand what happened late one night between the father and Eve's older sister, in a moment that was over before it began. 119. We want to know because the film makes it perfectly possible that there is more than one explanation; "Eve's Bayou" studies the way that dangerous emotions can build up until something happens that no one is responsible for and that can never be taken back. 120. All of these moments unfold in a film of astonishing maturity and confidence; "Eve's Bayou," one of the very best films of the year, is the debut of its writer and director, Kasi Lemmons. She sets her story in Southern Gothic country, in the bayous and old Louisiana traditions that Tennessee Williams might have been familiar with, but in tone and style she earns comparison with the family dramas of Ingmar Bergman. That Lemmons can make a film this good on the first try is like a rebuke to established filmmakers..."Eve's Bayou" resonates in the memory. It called me back for a second and third viewing. If it is not nominated for Academy Awards, then the academy is not paying attention. For the viewer, it is a reminder that sometimes films can venture into the realms of poetry and dreams. - Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times 121. Review #2: Kasi Lemmons’ fluid, feminine, African-American, Southern-gothic narrative covers a tremendous amount of emotional territory with the most graceful of steps. Young Jurnee Smollett plays 10-year-old Eve, struggling to understand the womanizing of her adored daddy (Samuel L. Jackson in easy, sexy command) and the passions of her big sister; Debbi Morgan, in a blazing performance, plays Eve’s vibrant aunt, infused with good-witch spiritual powers. The film’s dream-state visual elegance is matched by a great soundtrack. Grade, A-. - Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly 122. Review #3: First and best, it's got a rip-roaring story. It sweeps you along, borne effortlessly by believable if flawed characters, as it flows toward the inevitable tragedy. But it's also got a heart: It watches as a child harsh of judgment learns that judgment is too easy a posture for the world, and it's best to love with compassion. - Stephen Hunter, Washington Post 123. Review #4: “You don't have to believe in magic to be gripped by the psychic forces that the characters' sorcery unleashes. Sibling rivalry, sexual jealousy and anxiety are all feelings that, when heated to the boiling point, have incendiary, semi magical powers. And as the psychosexual forces that bind but also threaten the Batiste family heat up, you can feel the lid about to blow. Every element of the film -- from the turbulent, stormy performances to the rich cinematography (which includes black-and-white computer-enhanced dream sequences) to the setting itself, in which the thick layers of hanging moss over muddy water seem to drip with sexual intrigue and secrecy -- merges to create an atmosphere of extraordinary erotic tension and anxiety. 124. At the center of it all, exuding a dangerous magnetism, is Jackson's Louis, a swashbuckling, flashing-eyed, slightly oily lightning rod of a charmer whose charisma conveys a warning electric buzz. Jackson has never played a character quite this avid. And in a performance that requires him to infuse the role of perfect father and dream lover with a demonic charge, Jackson makes Louis at once irresistibly lovable and slightly terrifying. - Stephen Holden, New York Times 125. Open Comments: 126. Question: Are our family dynamics still suffering, internally, from the legacy of slavery or we closer to moving past it. 127. TV Scene: “Miss Evers’ Boys”: Powerful, haunting and artfully mounted, “Miss Evers’ Boys” is a docudrama of uncommon quality and clarity. The acting is exceptional, the characters vivid, the presentation balanced. Original films for television rarely aim so high as does this HBO NYC production...And cinematographically, it is a revelation, with director of photography Donald M. Morgan lending the production a strikingly dingy, washed-out look that blends perfectly with the piece’s bleak sensibility. The story as told here centers on nurse Eunice Evers (a dynamic, layered performance from Alfre Woodard). Evers went to work at Alabama’s Tuskegee Hospital in 1932 to assist a certain Dr. Brodus (brilliant work from Joe Morton) in caring for poor black men (sharecroppers mostly) who have been stricken with syphilis. Enter Dr. Douglas (Craig Sheffer), a white doctor who brings with him a fully funded program to treat syphilis at the hospital, offering free treatment to any man who tests positive for the disease. A few months pass before Brodus travels to Washington to meet with Douglas and a government panel of doctors who tell him the funding for treatment has dried up. However, money is available for a study of the syphilitic African-American men. The catch: They can receive no medical treatment initially as a way to establish whether syphilis affects blacks and whites differently. Brodus initially is outraged, but acquiesces in the belief the study will disprove the racist notion of physiological inferiority in blacks. Evers also reluctantly follows along, lying to the men while giving them only vitamins, tonics and liniment rubs. But as the months turn into years, it becomes clear that the afflicted men will never receive treatment. Only with their deaths is the study of how the disease runs its course made complete and viable….[the movie] switches gears during its second hour to become an examination of Evers’ gut-wrenching moral ambiguity in sticking around to help perpetrate this ghastly fraud over 40 years. Woodard movingly conveys the conflict weighing down Evers’ guilt-riddled soul, giving a profound resonance to the disturbing ethical questions raised by her dedication in the name of lending the men comfort and a form of loving (if deliberately ineffectual) care….the overall tone and tenor of “Miss Evers’ Boys” is one of subtle brilliance, bolstered by an exquisitely detailed period sheen that screams excellence. After it’s over, you sit disbelieving that such an inhumane, insidious experiment designed to reduce black men to the level of laboratory animals could ever have been conducted in the United States of America — much less gone undetected until 25 years ago. It went far beyond mere institutional racism. It was pure evil. — Ray Richmond Vanity Fair 128. Open Comments: 129. Vote: Best/most important/favorite pop culture item from 1997?

Arturo shares from his own experience about the important responsibility of the parent to shape their child’s worldview. Question: Are the children in your life growing in the worldview of the Kingdom? Do they consciously and subconsciously know what’s true and what’s a lie or a deception about God, about themselves, about others?
Question: Are liposomal supplements really superior? I doubt it. So I think the evidence indicates that liposomes don't survive digestion unless they are pegylated, which means that they have polyethylene glycol that's attached to the liposome to protect them from digestion. There are a number of other such modifications that can be made, but I don't think that applies to most liposomal things on the market. So I'm generally very skeptical of the claims that liposomal will offer superior delivery, particularly if they're not being specifically designed to survive digestion, which most are not. You can make history. This idea may sound simple to you but in many cultures, it is not well understood and the results are profound. Question: Are you making history? Are you working to change the course of someone else’s life? Who? How? May God give you his wisdom in this.
Matthew first heard the call of Warrior in 2013 and initially rejected it. But in 2015, when he hit what he calls his second rock bottom, it put him in enough pain to realize that his life wasn’t working. Thus began his personal journey of discovery. Welcome to Warrior Week: Parables From the Pit, with your host Coach Sam Falsafi and his special guest Matthew Lee. Parable #1: The Call of Warrior Matthew first heard the call of Warrior in 2013 and initially rejected it. But in 2015, when he hit what he calls his second rock bottom, it put him in enough pain to realize that his life wasn’t working. Thus began his personal journey of discovery. As he traveled to his first Warrior event, he knew that the man he left behind in Chicago was dead. He was ready for change, and from the moment he stepped into the room with the other guys, Matthew knew this was the place he was meant to be. QUESTION What was taking place in your life when you first heard the call of Warrior? Parable #2: The COVID-19 Pause COVID-19 has created a lot of emotion. When emotions are high, intelligence tends to be low. Coach Sam reflects, “Worldwide, we have put human momentum on pause because of fear of the unknown; because of the lack of faith to take a leap. We’ve decided to walk back and pause. And today, I have a huge appreciation for this pause.” This pause has given all of us the time to look at our reflection in the mirror at who we are today and what we’re becoming. The anger, blame, guilt, and shame that we feel is driving who we’re becoming rather than being driven by compassionate, unconditional love. QUESTION How are you using this time in history to reflect? Parable #3: The Knock At the Door Matthew explains, “In life, we have these knocks at the door; times when we fall down. These are simply an opportunity. When I feel something, that’s a trigger, a sign, a knock at the door that I need to go discover. It’s the sound that someone or something wants to gain entry.” But oftentimes, we will use our “already always listening voices” to silence the knocks at our door. The gift is found in recognizing that things that happen in our lives happen FOR us, not to us. “I had to have all of that pain unleashed on me to be open and ready.” QUESTION How are you responding to the knocks at your door? Parable #4: Feel the Pain The genesis of any change comes down to daily decisions and defining decisions. A change in the way we perceive ourselves and others happens over time, not overnight. It’s a process and a commitment, dedication, and devotion to a cause. “If you truly don’t understand the “why” behind why you must change, then you’re just putting a bandage on the wound. Which means you’re no longer feeling the pain. But if you feel pain, you have begun the investigation into why this thing matters. You must feel the pain, and you must have tactical empathy.” QUESTION What are you doing to understand they “why” behind change? Parable #5: Separation As human beings, we don’t all witness the same unfairness, which is why it is difficult to understand one another. Coach Sam is a child of war who unspeakable horrors while the rest of the world was in denial. “For over thirty years, I have kept this pain inside of me. How come nobody heard our cry? How the fuck do I purge that?” Most of us have been taught that there is me, there’s we, and there’s them. Matthew explains, “I’ve been taught to look across at “them” and pick apart everything they’re doing wrong. That’s a test. If I learn to love, I pass the test. I let go of what I’ve been hanging onto and try on a new perspective.” QUESTION Are you passing the test? “Parables from the Pit“ “One of the misconceptions about Warrior is that weak men go to become strong. But that’s not it. Powerful men come to Warrior and recognize the weak game they have been playing. It’s not the man that is weak; it’s the cheap games he’s been playing.” –-Sam Falsafi “How we show up in the world in one way is how we show up in all ways.” –– Matthew Lee
Parable #1: Rock Bottom Finding himself in a hotel room in the middle of nowhere, David prayed to God for the first time in ten years. “God, I’ll do anything you want me to do if you will help me; if you’ll help save my marriage. About a week later, a KingsKit video showed up on social media out of nowhere – David’s first exposure and introduction to this thing called Wake Up Warrior. Something in that video touched him on a deep level, which led him to take the plunge. QUESTION Where were you and what was your state of mind when you first heard the message of Warrior? Parable #2: The Garage Warrior created an opening for David to question his stories for the very first time in his life. It also gave him permission to start telling the truth about where he was in his life, what he had done, how he felt, and that it was ok to be open about the messes in his life. “The first time I saw Coach Sam speak with authenticity and certainty in his garage surrounded by all of his shit, I felt and knew that this guy wanted me to speak my pain; that he wanted to help me and others get out of our Pits.” QUESTION In what way has Warrior “given you permission” to do something for perhaps the first time in your life? Parable #3: Physician, Heal Thyself David cheated on his wife, lied, and tore down everything he had built or wanted to build. During this time, he made the most money ever as a physician because he threw his entire life into his work. He believed his worth was determined by what he was doing. During Warrior Wealth, David felt so broken that he was ready to give up everything, even being a doctor. “During Warrior Week, I finally received the certainty that I am a fucking healer and that I didn’t default into this path.” But he knew he first had to heal himself mentally QUESTION What areas of your life are calling to you to heal? Parable #4: Mom David had a lot of rage and pain in the way his mother acted toward and treated him. That first night in the Pit opened up the floodgates of emotions and feelings towards her. David ultimately went to therapy and completed three to four hundred Stacks about his mother and his relationship with her. “It was so suffocating how I felt about myself, and as a result, everything else was fake. Once I allowed myself to feel anger, rage, pain, and joy – at myself – I could then be honest with other people.” QUESTION Describe your experience in the Pit. Parable #5: The Beach The second day of Warrior Week was David’s favorite day. In the Pit, he felt like God was talking to him, but it was on the beach where David had a back and forth conversation with him. A lot of what he was told is now coming pass, although, at the time, it didn’t make sense to him. One of the most significant messages he received from God was, “Why are you fighting the fucking waves? Let me take you. Trust my process. You trust Warrior, so trust the divine process. Just let go. Let go and let the waves carry you.” QUESTION Are you listening to God? What is he telling you? “Parables from the Pit“ “I want you to consider that what this is, is an opportunity for you to ask yourself, “What the fuck are you hearing? What do you need to hear today to guide you toward an action that you have been called to do?” —Sam Falsafi “Authenticity is currency no matter what you do for a living.” –Dr. David Fedor
Question: Are there safety concerns in supplementing cyanocobalamin rather methylcobalamin in those with MTHFR polymorphisms? If you're concerned about methylation-related issues, you would want to be careful with methylcobalamin supplementation in a way that you would not need to be careful about hydroxocobalamin supplementation. If you don't have a specific methylation-related goal, then I think hydroxocobalamin is the default because that's the sort of like metabolically neutral B12 in that it's not predisposed to any particular system, and it's not going to affect any system in a specific way apart from just being nutritional B12. Then the second thing is “if you had MTHFR, is it dangerous to supplement with cyanocobalamin?” It doesn't matter. I don't think MTHFR has anything to do with methylcobalamin really. If you don't have malabsorption of everything else, you should look at the specific causes of B12 malabsorption, which are pernicious anemia and gastritis, including subclinical gastritis driven by H. pylori in the stomach. Question: Are bilirubin and uric acid useful markers of antioxidant defense and oxidative stress? What are better markers? I think intracellularly where most of antioxidant support is highly relevant, then they're not that big a deal. In the plasma, they can be a big deal. It's quite possible that uric acid is one of the most important antioxidants in plasma. But I would say it's highly debatable whether we put uric acid into the blood specifically to achieve that versus that happens to be an accidental sort of just incidental to making uric acid during the excretion of purines, which make up the building blocks of DNA and ATP and things like that. I think the best marker of oxidative stress in plasma is the cysteine to cystine ratio. Cysteine is the reduced form of the amino acid cysteine. Cystine is the oxidized form. There are good studies at a general population level showing that that is the major specific indicator of oxidative stress that takes place in the plasma. The glutathione couple, glutathione reduced versus oxidized, is probably the best marker in the blood of what's happening with oxidative stress intracellularly. Unfortunately, the only test that looks at this is HDRI. I feel very, very torn about whether we should be working with HDRI because I know a lot about measuring glutathione. I've had some clients who got their glutathione test. What you need to do to accurately measure glutathione to preserve the sample, according to my client who did the test, is not at all part of the instructions or process that they use, so I am very skeptical of using them. No one else offers the reduced to oxidized version of glutathione. So, what I would recommend to assess oxidative stress would be Genova's Oxidative Stress 2.0 panel. It does give you the cysteine to cystine ratio. I'll put a note to put a link to that in the show notes. I think that's the best marker. They do have glutathione on there, and they do have a bunch of other things that can be useful in assessing oxidative stress. I would use that. Question: Are there any solutions to getting nauseated from zinc supplements even at low doses and even when the zinc comes as oysters? With the zinc, my general recommendation is to take zinc on an empty stomach. The thing that is not controversial is that phytate is the principal inhibitor of zinc absorption. Phytate is found in whole grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes. I think there's a very broad agreement across the zinc research community that taking zinc not with a meal that contains whole grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes is going to lead to higher zinc absorption. Then there's some controversy. Does it matter whether the zinc is on an empty stomach compared to a phytate-free meal, which would be a meal that doesn't have any whole grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes? Because there's a gray area there, I say if you can, take it on an empty stomach. If you can't, take it with a phytate-free meal. Generally, it's the case that if someone takes 15 milligrams of zinc with a full glass of water, they are very unlikely to get nauseated from it. Whereas if almost anyone takes 50 milligrams of zinc with a full glass of water on an empty stomach, they're almost definitely going to get nauseated from it. I would get nauseated from it. Taking the low dose should allow you to take it on an empty stomach, but for some people, they do get nauseated even taking only 15 milligrams on an empty stomach. Well, you have two options. The ideal thing would be figure out the lowest amount of food that it takes to. If you eat the oyster at the end of a phytate-free meal, is it still making you sick? If so, I don't think that's the zinc. I think it's something else. And your digestive system might not be up to the task of eating oysters right now at this moment. But if at the end of a phytate-free meal if you can fit in one or two oysters and it doesn't make you nauseated at all, then I think that's great. Oysters are probably the ideal zinc supplement if you can get them in. A couple of oysters a day goes a long way to getting your zinc in. Garrett and Danielle are proponents of dating your spouse AT LEAST once a week. They understand that adding young children to the mix can sometimes present a challenge but know that your relationship MUST come first if you want it to last. In this week’s episode, the White’s share tips for what has worked for them, as well as what hasn’t worked for them, in their quest to find babysitters and nannies. Where they ultimately hit the jackpot might actually surprise you. “Encore presentation from January 2019.” Every week married couple Danielle and Garrett J White share insights and perspectives from within their own lives regarding the following topics discussed each month: Week 1: Sex Week 2: Money Week 3: Parenting Week 4: Communication In This Week’s Podcast….PARENTING Point #1: Routines & Consistency Both Garrett and Danielle feel like this podcast has been so good for their marriage. It’s as if the listening audience has become their sounding board and allows them to be better communicators with each other without completely flipping their lids and going off on each other. Danielle: In life, once you get out of your routine it’s so easy to lose your momentum. It’s in doing the small things consistently that keep us on track to build the large things; it’s the small and consistent things in marriage that keep a relationship stable and progressing. QUESTION What are you doing consistently inside of your relationship that is noticeably making a difference in the way you feel about and communciate with each other? Point #2: Baby Talk In the land of pregnancy and babies, when a woman is overdue it is a common understanding that having sex helps induce labor. Danielle’s experience with their two previous babies was that within an hour of having sex, the contractions began. Garrett attributes it to his “very aggressive sperm.” Danielle’s well thought out plans for the gender reveal went sideways as the waves washed out the pink and blue smoke bombs she had carefully buried in the sand. Garrett accidentally reveals the gender of the baby during the podcast. QUESTION Did your gender reveal turn out as planned? Point #3: Family Affair? A lot of times, people think they can only trust their family to watch their kids. Danielle has discovered that having someone other than family members might actually be better for you and your kids. From her personal experience, she would rather hire someone to follow her structure and routine instead of having free help from family who want to do their own thing. QUESTION What has been your experience with family members watching your children? Point #4: On-Demand Babysitter Gone Awry Garrett wanted to have an on-demand babysitter who was always available. He paid her a salary and got her an apartment close by their home so they would have someone ready to care for the kids whenever he and Danielle wanted to go out. It evolved into a sense of entitlement and a situation where Danielle was having to dance around the babysitter’s schedule. Danielle: Finding a babysitter is like building a business. You assume that people you hire will know what to do, but you should never assume. Find someone that you like and then be clear about the outcome you expect while they’re there. Always keep them in check. People want to know how to win whether it’s a nanny or an employee and will start to retreat when they don’t know how to please you. QUESTION Have you set clear outcomes and expectations for your babysitters? Point #5: “Care.com: Your Shit is Legit” By far the best decision Garrett & Danielle have made when it comes to finding a babysitter or nanny for their children is going through care.com. Garrett advises, “Request your babysitters driven by a dollar value, and when they turn in their application, make sure they send you a video.” “You’re investing in the guardianship of your children. If you’re paying a lot of money, set clear outcomes and expectations. If you look at the overall investment on a monthly basis, you’re investing in your marriage. 1-What’s your marriage worth? 2-How much are your children worth?” QUESTION Are you being a cheap bastard when it comes to hiring someone to watch your children? Communication Challenge: Have a conversation about Date Night, and the challenges you are currently facing that are stopping you from going out consistently with your spouse. Get clear about what you want from your marriage, and what you can do to begin making Date Night a top priority in your marriage. Date Night Topic: Have a brainstorming session about the things you and your spouse want to do on your Date Nights for the next couple of months. Quote of the Week: “If you care about your marriage and want things to work out, go on Date Nights. If you care about your communication and sex life, go on Date Nights. To pull that off, you’re going to have to go through some trial and error before you find what works for you.” —Garrett J White “Whether it’s family or someone you pay, there are really no excuses when it comes to creating Date Night and space for yourselves as a couple. It becomes a matter of making it a priority.” —Danielle K White
Question: Are liver capsules as good as eating liver? Liver pills are mainly for people who are not going to eat liver. That's the first thing. The second thing is, there are advantages to taking the dosing schedule of a little bit of liver every day. Probably the ideal thing would be to have 10 to 20 grams of fresh liver every day. But the number of people who are going to do that are even smaller than the number of people who are going to eat the fresh liver. What the liver pills do is, number one, they give people who don't eat liver that frequently to get the nutrients that have absorption caps that are better off gotten in small doses at a time to get those every day. It gives people who are not going to eat liver at all a way to get liver in. I don't know. I mean, it's a tradeoff. Probably almost no one is going to eat 10 to 20 grams of liver every day. If you don't, are you better off taking the capsules or are you better off taking liver once a week? You're probably better off taking half and half, like take three capsules every day and still eat liver once a week. It's probably the best thing to do in that case. I don't recommend anyone who would otherwise eat liver stop eating liver and take the capsules, but I do recommend the people who won't eat liver take the capsules. I think it's a nice thing to do. If you eat liver but take the capsules anyway, then take that in a lower dose because you eat liver. Like I said, eat one serving of liver once a week or twice a month and take two, three, or four of the capsules instead of six; two, three or four capsules every day. I think that's a happy medium that can have best approximates the best thing which is the 10 to 20 grams of liver a day. Spring is almost sprung, so it's time to declutter and say goodbye to both items and people you don't need to hold on to anymore. You don't have to hoard anything, or be friends with anyone you don't need in your life. Question: Are we being birthday snobs?
