“Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher. All is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 1:2 As a philosopher I have loved the great tradition of human wisdom. For many years I drank from the tributaries. Aristotle taught that the good life is something one lives, not something one acquires. Socrates taught that wisdom begins in humility. These insights nourished me long before I realized they were preparing me to recognize the far greater wisdom God has given in Scripture. The Greek thinkers stood downstream from a fountain they dimly sensed but could not reach. The book of Ecclesiastes speaks from that very source. Qoheleth, קהלת, the Assembler, often called the Preacher, gathers what God has revealed about life in this world. He describes the human condition with a single Hebrew word: hevel, breath, vapor. Not meaninglessness, but ungraspability - and paradox. Life slips through the fingers of those who try to seize it, and understanding reaches its limit in paradox. What cannot be possessed must be received. What we cannot control must become ours by gift. And this is why Ecclesiastes so often speaks the language of generosity. Work is a gift. Food and drink are gifts. Joy is gift. Companionship is gift. Time itself is gift. The Preacher calls us to leave behind the restless striving that characterizes life in the tributaries, and to return instead to the fountain where every good and perfect gift flows from the hand of the Giver. He also tells us something our age urgently needs to hear. There is nothing new under the sun. Our modern confidence in our own progress (central to the evolutionary mythos) is little more than hubris. We imagine ourselves advanced beyond our “primitive” forebears, yet our world repeats the same patterns of confusion and pride. Postmodern deconstruction, gender confusion, DEI initiatives, and cultural relativism are not new. They are ancient errors retold in new vocabulary. Ecclesiastes understood the human heart long before our age attempted to deconstruct it. Near the end of the book the imagery sharpens. “The words of the wise are like goads,” given by one Shepherd to guide us back toward the fountain of wisdom. When the risen Jesus confronted Saul and said, “It is hard for you to kick against the goads,” Paul, deeply trained in Greek language and philosophy, recognized the proverb immediately. The Shepherd's mercy often comes to us as a sharp turn, redirecting us from the dry channels of self-reliance back to the living waters of God Himself. The book ends where all honest searching must end. Fear God. Keep His commandments. Receive His gifts with gratitude. This is the whole duty of man, the culmination not only of the Bible's wisdom literature, but of every sincere philosophical quest. I wandered long among the tributaries, but Scripture led me home to the Fount of every blessing and tuned my heart to sing His grace. Here is a helpful overview of Ecclesiastes. In a fiery, nearly 90-minute impromptu livestream from the Men's Health Mississippi studios, conservative Jackson radio host and social media personality Clay Edwards delivered a wide-ranging, unfiltered rant touching on local corruption, free speech hypocrisy, cultural decay, and several personal scores he's been waiting to settle.   Edwards opened by praising the Jackson City Council's newly passed ordinance banning city employees from having any relationships or business dealings with known drug dealers. Introduced by Ward 3 Councilman Kenneth Stokes and passing 6-0 (with one abstention), the measure was portrayed by Edwards as proof that Jackson has finally reached rock-bottom: “If your city has to pass a law telling its own employees ‘don't hang out with dope boys,' it's probably too late.” He tied the policy directly to decades of entrenched corruption in JPD, the DA's office, and city hall under previous administrations (especially the Lumumba era), citing stories of dirty cops escorting drug runs, DAs hiring dealers' relatives, and politicians co-owning nightclubs that everyone knows are money-laundering fronts. While calling the ordinance “ridiculous on its face,” he gave rare credit to the current council and Mayor John Horn for finally “adulting” and trying to clean house.   He then pivoted to Rankin County controversies, strongly opposing the Brandon “street preachers” (Gabriel Olivier and similar groups) whose Supreme Court case is now pending. Edwards, despite being a conservative Christian, ripped them as provocateurs who scream “Jezebel,” “drunkard,” and other fighting words at women and families just to bait assaults, sue, and play victim. He compared them to First Amendment auditors and local agitators who wear Foot Locker jerseys while baiting cops and citizens for payouts, insisting “this isn't preaching the Gospel; it's hate-speech grift.”   The stream took a personal turn when Edwards addressed rumors that local activist outlets are about to interview his ex-wife (whom he hasn't spoken to in nearly four years) in an obvious attempt to dig up dirt. He laughed it off, showed side-by-side photos of himself at his heaviest and most miserable during that marriage versus his current healthy self, and warned that if lies are platformed, he'll “uncork everything” about her alcoholism, rehab stints, and destructive behavior. He framed it as proof he's lived openly about his past mistakes and has nothing left to hide.   Other quick hits: -Called out vulgar, sexual Christmas merchandise openly displayed at Northpark Mall (“Jolly as fuck,” pierced mannequin breasts, dick-shaped gingerbread “eat me” ornaments) right by the kids' ride area as more evidence of nationwide cultural rot. -Accused Lane Kiffin of straight-up lying about Ole Miss fans trying to run him off the road on his way to the airport; Mississippi Highway Patrol confirmed they gave him an uneventful escort the entire way. -Gave continued (grudging) props to new Mayor John Horn for not playing identity-politics games and focusing on basic governance, while begging retired public-works veterans to return as consultants to restore institutional knowledge lost under the previous administration. Throughout, Edwards plugged his radio show (WYAB 103.9 FM, 7-9 a.m. weekdays), his “FAFO” merchandise, and free testosterone screenings at Men's Health Mississippi (text CLAY to 601-800-5130), repeatedly thanking viewers for super chats and engagement.   The stream was vintage Clay: profane, confrontational, self-deprecating, and packed with insider Jackson gossip, all delivered while he fought through chest inflammation and steroids, promising an even longer breakdown of many of these stories on his regular morning radio slot.

A left-handed guitar from a beloved grandpa. A band with grit and groove. A songwriter who lets chords decide the weather of a verse. That's the heart of our conversation with Corey Hooker, where Americana isn't a label so much as a living room: folk honesty, rock momentum, and stories that start one way and end somewhere braver. We trace Corey's path from Ohio stages to a decisive leap toward Colorado, a move designed to meet strangers and grow beyond a friends-and-family ceiling. He opens up about the craft behind his catalog—why a melody often leads the way, how a single “keyword” unlocks a chorus, and what happens when an angry draft flips into a sad truth, like in Perfect Family. We also get practical: Taylor versus Martin for stage and studio, the heirloom Austin that breaks writer's block, and how live shows sharpen arrangements faster than any DAW. If you care about songwriting, there's gold here: tight feedback loops with trusted critics, resisting the trap of perfectionism, and using crowd engagement to turn covers into gateways for original songs. The chemistry with the Cadillac Preachers powers much of this trajectory. Their partnership adds rock muscle to Corey's folk roots, landing in a space fans have called fugitive folk rock. That dynamic opened doors at Laurie's Roadhouse—first through a contest win, then with higher-profile slots—and now a direct support date for Mark Chesnutt. It's a blueprint for independent artists: build community, test songs in the wild, and record when the performance lives in muscle memory. Through it all, Corey's gratitude rings clear for the people who keep him grounded: a wife with blunt, loving notes, a mom who never misses a chance to show up, and bandmates who share the load.Hit play for an honest, energetic look at modern Americana, from writing rooms to big stages and the mountain roads in between. If you enjoyed the conversation, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a quick review—what song moment stayed with you the most?Send us a text Support the showLinks Jay Franze: https://jayfranze.com/ JFS Country Countdown: https://jayfranze.com/countdown/ Contact Contact: https://jayfranze.com/contact/ Socials Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jayfranze TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jayfranze X: https://x.com/jayfranze YouTube: https://youtube.com/@jayfranze Services Services: https://jayfranze.com/services/ Books Books: https://jayfranze.com/books/ Merchandise Merchandise: https://jayfranze.com/merchandise/ Support Support: https://jayfranze.com/support/ Sponsor the Show: https://jayfranze.com/sponsor/

In this conversation, hosts Joel Lawrence and Matt Kim speak with Gerald Hiestand—senior pastor of Calvary Memorial Church and co-founder of the Center for Pastor Theologians—about cultural intelligence and the work of preaching. Drawing from his ministry in the diverse and politically complex context of Oak Park, Illinois, Gerald describes the challenges and opportunities of engaging culture thoughtfully from the pulpit. He reflects on how pastors can understand the visible and invisible layers of culture, avoid the “ditches” on either side of cultural and political extremes, and use cultural “types” as pathways that point people toward the gospel. The discussion explores how preaching can form a theological vision of culture, how to love congregations well by understanding their varied backgrounds, and how pastors can navigate political tensions with a Christ-centered framework. Gerald also shares personal reflections on growing in pastoral confidence, learning to give clearer admonition with less scaffolding, and shepherding faithfully through turbulent cultural seasons.Living Church - Awe and Presence

Series Title: “Live Like You're Dying- A Study Thru Ecclesiastes” Sermon Title: “Don't Waste Your Life” Text: Eccl. 12:9-14 “Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging many proverbs with great care. 10 The Preacher sought to find words of delight, and uprightly he wrote words of truth. 11 The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd. 12 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. 13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. The Conclusion of the whole matter: Live by the word of God. v. 9-12 The Necessity of the Minister of God's word. V. 9 “Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging many proverbs with great care. I Tim. 5:17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. 2 Tim. 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. Rom. 10:14 And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” The Necessity of the Ministry of God's word. God's word brings pleasure. V. 10 The Preacher sought to find words of delight, and uprightly he wrote words of truth. Ps. 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward. God's word brings pain. V. 11 The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd. The Necessity of the Mainstay of God's word. V. 12 My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Live in the fear of God. What does it mean to Fear God? v. 13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Prov. 9:10 “The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.” How do we know if we fear God? v. 13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Prov. 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. John 8:31-32 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Why do we live in the fear of God? v. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. I Cor. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. 4 For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord. 5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts.

May your listening be as blessed as ours was in the reading. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrsQ1tc-2w

It's Wednesday, November 26th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  Written by Jonathan Clark.  Filling in for Adam McManus I'm Ean Leppin. (Contact@eanvoiceit.com) Christian Institute Proposed Street Preacher Charter. Officials in the U.K. are increasingly targeting Christians who express their faith in public. In response, the Christian Institute launched its new “Street Preacher's Charter” in Parliament last week. The document defends the rights of street preachers in England and Wales. The wrongful arrest of a Scottish preacher in 2022 inspired the charter. Mike Judge, a trustee of The Christian Institute, said, “This Charter is a timely shield for those who dare to speak — and a timely corrective for a society tempted to silence them.” U.K. Street Preacher Acquitted A jury in the U.K. acquitted a street preacher recently. The case began after a Muslim family reported street preacher Shaun O'Sullivan to authorities. Officials charged him with religiously aggravated intentional harassment. However, O'Sullivan testified in court that he simply preaches the Gospel in public after being saved from a life of crime and violence. Andrea Williams with the Christian Legal Centre said, “This was another example of police overreach . . . The acquittal is . . . a reminder of the fragile state of fundamental freedoms in our country right now.” When commanded not to preach, the apostles said in Acts 4:19-20, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak about the things which we have seen and heard.” Christian Universities to Launch Outreach to Europe One of the largest Christian universities in the United States is launching outreach to Europe to counter the rise of secularism there. Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia is now offering over 600 online degrees to students in Europe.  Lucian Mustata is Liberty's European representative for the project. He told Christian Daily International, “we need to invest in the next generation. In the long term, secularism grows in Europe because we're not investing in teenagers and the next generation with Christian values. It's very important to have Christian education in Europe.” Trump Designates the Muslim Brotherhood as Terrorist Organization On Monday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to designate certain chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations.  The organization was founded in 1928 with chapters across the Middle East. Last week, Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott similarly designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. He said the goal of the group is to “forcibly impose Sharia law . . . These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas.”  This coming on the heels of a report released called The Muslim Brotherhood Strategic Entryism into the United States.  Chris Mitchell from CBN News has more concerning this report. MITCHELL: “And what it does, and why this is so significant – it exposes a generational strategy to impose Shariah Law on the United States. They call it “a civilizational struggle,” and it's based on four pillars. One is influencing public policy. Two, influencing legal strategies, and what that tries to do is minimize criticism of Islam and turn that into charges of Islamphobia and charges of discrimination. Number three is infiltration of institutions – charities, universities, schools, and even to influence Middle East studies in those universities. And, four is to control the narrative through the medium, to shake the public debate. A key issue in this is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We've heard charges of Palestine, from the river to the sea, globalize the Intifadah. That puts it in context, is what they're trying to do is just influence media, the society, and then just introduce, in a gradual way, Shariah Law.” Planned Parenthood Forced to Shut Down Centers Due to Financial Strain Planned Parenthood announced yesterday it is closing one of its locations in Ohio. The abortion giant has now closed 45 centers so far this year. Many closures are due to the Trump administration's support for defunding abortion providers. A recent report from Planned Parenthood admits, “Already buckling under immense financial strain due to our country's frayed and underfunded public health system, Planned Parenthood health centers across the country are being pushed to the brink.” New Survey Concerning the Understanding of Salvation is Released by Barna Dr. George Barna released his latest research on the worldview of Americans. The survey found most U.S. adults say eternal salvation demands a blend of works and grace. For example, one-third of Americans who call themselves “born-again” believe good people can earn salvation. And nearly half of Americans believe they will earn their way into Heaven by being generally good or doing enough good deeds. Dr. Barna noted, “There remains a shocking degree of misunderstanding among Christians regarding sin, repentance, forgiveness, and salvation.” Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Bible Sales Surge This Year And finally, mainstream media outlets are noting this year's surge in Bible sales. The Associated Press reports Americans have purchased over 18 million Bibles this year.  Brenna Connor with Circana BookScan told Religion News Service, “Sales for Bibles have been steadily growing in the U.S. since 2021 and have set unprecedented annual sales records since 2022. 2024 marked a 20-year high for Bible sales in the U.S., and 2025 is on track to surpass these levels, underscoring the growing interest in religious content among U.S. consumers.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, November 26th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. Some weeks, the loudest voice in your life isn't God's—it's the one telling you what you're not. It whispers before you're fully awake. It follows you into the car, into the office, into the quiet moments. And most days, it doesn't need anyone else's help; we're perfectly capable of discouraging ourselves. Relationship researchers John and Julie Gottman found that negative words hit us harder than positive ones, so much so that it takes about five positive interactions to counter just one negative moment. And while other people's criticism can sting, the deeper wounds usually come from the things we mutter inwardly: You're not enough. You're not capable. You're pretending . . . and someone will eventually find you out. Left unchecked, that inner voice only grows louder. It's exhausting trying to outshout your own self-doubt. Thankfully, our Heavenly Father has already stepped into that fight on our behalf. In Psalm 136, He doesn't reassure us five times but twenty-six times that His love never ends. Twenty-six reminders that you are seen, known, and cherished. Twenty-six reasons to trust that His steadfast love truly endures forever. As we approach Thanksgiving, let's fill our hearts with the greatest reason to give thanks—the never-ending love of God.

JESUS IS BETTER Mark 12:35–40 Culture of Gospel Share this with someone in your life who doesn't know Jesus If corruption, hypocrisy, and abuse inside the church have ever made you question Jesus, let this sink in: Jesus condemned those things even more fiercely than you do. What you hate about religion is often the very reason you might love Jesus — because He exposes that darkness and stands against it. Sermon Summary In this message, Coleton walks deeply into one of Jesus' sharpest public confrontations with religious leaders. Drawing from Mark 12:35–40, he exposes three behaviors of the teachers of the law that still plague the church today — behaviors that cause people to lose trust, walk away, or become disgusted with religion altogether. But instead of letting these failings push us from Jesus, Coleton argues they should push us closer to Him, because Jesus Himself condemns these very abuses more clearly, more passionately, and more fiercely than we ever could. What follows is Coleton's three-point framework, each grounded in Scripture, history, and modern examples, ultimately leading us toward a posture of repentance, discernment, and deeper intimacy with Jesus. 1. Hypocritical Lifestyle — Appearing Righteous (vv. 38, 40) Scripture: “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect… and for a show make lengthy prayers.” — Mark 12:38, 40 Historical Note (Mark Strauss): “Teachers of the law wore long white linen robes… These garments imitated the robes worn by priests and so ‘signified' religious devotion.” Jesus' critique:   They projected holiness to gain admiration, honor, and spiritual credibility, but inside they were spiritually dead. Coleton highlights Jesus' words from Matthew where He calls them “whitewashed tombs” — clean and impressive on the outside, but hiding decay beneath. He describes Bryn Gilet's painting of the Pharisee and tax collector, showing a beautifully posed, self-righteous Pharisee whose “worship” is nothing more than polished emptiness. Modern Example: Coleton shares his disillusionment with a once-admired pastor whose hidden lifestyle contradicted everything he preached. The fallout devastated a church, wounded countless people, and embodied this exact hypocrisy Jesus condemned. Main Idea: Hypocrisy in spiritual leaders makes people question everything — the church, the message, even Jesus Himself.   But Jesus is not soft on hypocrisy. He hates it.   He exposes it, condemns it, and warns His followers to stay alert to it. 2. Using God to Get Better Treatment & Better Stuff (vv. 38–39) Scripture: “They like to… be greeted with respect… and have the most important seats… and the places of honor at banquets.” — Mark 12:38–39 Commentary (David Guzik): “They taught that teachers were to be respected almost as much as God… The greatest act someone could do was to give money to a teacher… Of course, it was the teachers themselves who taught this.” What's happening here? These leaders used Scripture as a tool to extract honor, wealth, and privilege for themselves. They weren't shepherds — they were spiritual opportunists. Modern Examples: Coleton highlights real stories we all see far too often: Pastors who demand honorific treatment.   Churches where members must publicly declare their tithes.   Preachers who use the pulpit to justify private jets or lavish lifestyles.   Leaders who shame people into financial giving.   He tells of a man who built a multi-million-dollar home for a pastor and said simply, “This is why I don't trust the church.”   He didn't know Scripture — he just knew something felt wrong. Main Idea: When spiritual authority becomes a platform for personal gain, the world sees right through it — and they should.   Jesus Himself calls out this manipulation long before modern critics ever did. 3. Using Power to Prey on the Weak (v. 40) Scripture: “They devour widows' houses…” — Mark 12:40 Commentary (David L. McKenna): “Scribes served as consultants in estate planning for widows… They convinced lonely and susceptible women that their money should be given to the scribe… There is no better way to assure the confidence of widows than by a show of spirituality….” What Jesus is condemning: Religious leaders using spiritual authority to exploit and financially drain vulnerable people — particularly widows. Modern Examples (summarized): Coleton cites a heartbreaking list: Southern Baptist Convention's report documenting 700 abusers in a decade and systemic cover-ups.   Prosperity preachers promising healing in exchange for “seed money.”   Stories of people dying from illness after being taught to give instead of seek treatment.   “Miracle cash cards,” “resurrection seeds,” “holy water,” and other manipulative schemes. Coleton notes how reading these cases was “brutal.”   Comments under these articles echoed the same cry: “This is why I want nothing to do with God or the church.” Main Idea: Spiritual abuse is real. It is evil. And Jesus does not tolerate it.   Jesus says those who do this will receive greater condemnation — a warning stronger than any critique we could offer. A Turning Point: Why These Failings Should Draw You Closer to Jesus Coleton makes a stunning and deeply pastoral turn: If church corruption disgusts you, you have more in common with Jesus than you think.   Jesus agrees with you.   Jesus condemns what you condemn — and even more strongly. He uses the opening verses of the text (Mark 12:35–37) to show that Jesus distance Himself from corrupt religious leaders by proving they don't truly understand Scripture nor the identity of the Messiah. “David himself calls him ‘Lord.' How then can he be his son?” — Mark 12:37 Jesus is saying:   “They don't know Me. So don't confuse them with Me.” Their failures do not represent Him. What This Means for Us — Applications 1. Fight the Temptation to Look Good on the Outside We all want to hide flaws, curate an image, and appear righteous.   But image-based faith is like Banksy's graffiti-cleaner artwork — adding paint on top of paint, looking busy but doing nothing real. 2. Watch Out — Guard Your Heart Church hurt is real, but Jesus warns:   “Watch out.”   Don't let the sins of others lead you to cynicism, bitterness, or disobedience.   Be discerning — not hardened. 3. Know Jesus So Well You Can Spot Counterfeits Coleton shares an Anne Graham Lotz story:   A Scotland Yard expert studied real money so intensely that counterfeits were obvious. Likewise:  Know the real Jesus deeply, so when someone distorts Him, you can see it — and not walk away from Him because of someone else's misrepresentation. Closing Gospel Picture — Jesus Is Not Like Them Coleton ends with three contrasts showing why Jesus is worth drawing near to: Jesus didn't just appear righteous; He was righteous — and took our place on a cross.   Jesus didn't use His position to gain luxury; He gave up heaven's throne to rescue us.   Jesus didn't abuse power; He submitted to humiliation so that we could experience God's blessing.   Jesus is nothing like the corrupt leaders who misuse His name.   So draw near to Him.

The Communion table represents a holy and sacred time in the Lord's presence. The Lord's Supper replaced the Passover Meal. Jesus was modeling a paradigm shift from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant. From the Old Testament to the New Testament. From the Temple to the Church. From Priests to Preachers. In the Old Testament the sheep died for the shepherd. In the New Testament the Shepherd dies for the sheep. The communion table reminds us to look back at the cross and look forward to the future glory in heaven.

Lara and Carey find themselves back on the scorched sands of Utah for another chapter in the Book of Salty Queens. First, they discuss the cheese wheel making a splash in Hollywood, which foods Lara and Carey would sign if they were agents, a harrowing new organic supermarket in Tribeca, Lara's theoretical tenure as a chic grocer, Trump calling a reporter a “piggy,” and more. On RHOSLC, the ladies (minus Meredith and Baby Girl Lisa) assemble at Wild Rose's for a surprise potluck to cheer up Britani. From high body count hair to a Build-A-Bear workshop complete with inspirational recordings for Brit, the women try to pull her out of her post-Meredith and Lisa tag team depression. Bronwyn provides an update on her mini-separation from Todd as Wild Rose continues to provide Entity with souls. Lisa and John Barlow's tense lunch exposes more bumps in their marriage and Daddy John's shadow side. Britani and Jared pause their 30-day fast for a dramatic walk by a serial killer creek as Jared continues to break Britani's brain. Then, Mary gathers all the women (minus Britani) at her church to watch her deliver her first fiery sermon in years, uniting them in the divine and preparing them for the battle to come.
