This week on the Wicked Thoughts Podcast, we're learning a whole lot from Jason Cruz - communication and brand strategist, business coach, and content creator. As a guest lecturer for various academic institutions, Jason has a unique perspective on teaching digital marketing, drawing from his past and ongoing experiences in the space. We talk a little about the importance of keeping up to date with trends and choosing to learn from people who are in the thick of things. We cover the boom of the creator economy, the value of GenZ customers, the Facebook outage, and how you don't have to be on every social media platform. The secret is in understanding your target market and using platforms to reach them. And as if he hasn't spoiled us enough with all his knowledge, Jason breaks things down for all our MSMEs out there looking to thrive in the digital space - a framework that also, somehow, applies to dating. So if you're gunning for a strong digital presence (and a life partner), have a listen!

Mike's guest is Jason Cruz, an attorney who practices in Seattle, writes for MMA Payout, and has written about the Luck v. McMahon lawsuit. Jason's firm can be located here. (2:55) Background on McMahon's decision to hire Luck as the commissioner of the rebranded XFL. (5:15) Why the XFL fired Luck "for cause" immediately before filing for bankruptcy. (6:06) Why Luck is suing McMahon personally, and not the XFL (Alpha Entertainment) as a business entity. (9:03) Why is this a fight that McMahon wants? (9:49) Jason explains what a personal guarantee is. (11:28) Mike and Jason discuss the four arguments that McMahon has made in claiming that Luck was properly terminated "for cause." (19:53) What exactly is an "indispensable party" to a lawsuit, and is Alpha Entertainment an indispensable party here? (22:25) Jason explains how Alpha Entertainment's bankruptcy affects the Luck v. McMahon lawsuit. (24:32) How much is Luck's case hurt by the federal judge staying his case as Alpha Entertainment's bankruptcy plays out first? Amanda talks to Kaitlyn Farmer and Jason Cruz of RAW Art Works, a youth arts organization in Lynn, Massachusetts, rooted in art therapy. At its core, RAW Art Works believes that all kids should be seen and heard and that everyone has a story to tell. Kaitlyn and Jason discuss the value of the arts programming and leadership training at this powerful non-profit. These programs offer kids a safe place to express themselves through art and authentic conversation. Youth in Lynn experience poverty and crime rates that are among the highest in Massachusetts. A significant portion (84%) of the teens involved at RAW have experienced some kind of childhood trauma. At RAW they can create, meet friends, impact their community, and develop the skills they'll need for a bright future. Looking for a handy guide to help you with your confidence and communication? The first episode of The Mike Meltser Podcast begins with Mike explaining what he's been up to, and the concept of this podcast. (13:00) Jason Cruz, of the Cruz Law Firm PLLC gives us some insight into Tom Brady trying to trademark the phrase "Tom Terrific."
Joe and Elie talk to Jason Cruz, a Seattle attorney and writer for MMA Payout covering the law and business side of MMA fighting. We discuss just how someone gets from a law degree to this world and walk through the lawsuit against Conor McGregor for throwing cans into the crowd. Elie also shares his theory for the unwritten social contract all sports fans should agree to and it's safe to say Elie wants us all to live in a dystopian nightmare.
In this return episode we learn why the guys have been missing in action and we sit down with Tv personality and head builder at orange county choppers Evan Favaro. The guys also get super sweaty and uncomfortable with Jeff from Sweatshop Industries and last but not least they talk with a show favorite artist Jason Cruz from Eternal Trip.
My guest on this podcast is John Nash, writer for Bloody Elbow. John writes primarily about MMA and also does an excellent podcast with Paul Gift and Jason Cruz called Show Money which covers the business side of MMA. We spoke about the fighters antitrust lawsuit against the UFC, the bill in Congress to extend the Ali Act to MMA, the movement to organize MMA fighters into a union or association and what the sport of boxing can learn from what's going on in MMA. It was an excellent discussion - enjoy!

Very excited that I got to sit down and chat for a bit with the vocalist/lyricist of my favorite band of all time, Strung Out.I preface this at the beginning of the episode, but this was particularly nerve racking for me and not an easy interview for me to do. I managed to get through it, albiet some awkwardness. Still, the end result was a cool, interesting chat that was also very funny. I've been seeing Strung Out shows consistantly for many years and it is always a cathartic experience for me. Thank you so much, Jason, and to the rest of Strung Out and their crew for always being so damn cool to me. I appreciate it more than you guys will ever know. Music-wise, I kept this Strung Out related, two songs from the band and two from SO side projects; Jason Cruz and Howl (Jason's other band), and Implants (SO guitarist Rob Ramos' other band). The band's newest release, Transmission.Alpha.Delta, was released on March 24th on Fat Wreck Chords.PLAYLISTStrung Out - "Rats In The Walls"Jason Cruz and Howl - "Warsong"Implants - "Through The Window"Strung Out - "Too Close To See"

Options Bootcamp 19: Margin Basic Training: The topic this week is margin What is margin? If I have leverage in my options, why do I need margin? Is it possible to not qualify for margin? Why do you need a cash account? What can/cannot you do with a cash account? What are some of the most common risks, mistakes or problems customers run into when implementing margin in their account? What are the benefits of portfolio margin over other, different types of margin? Mail Call: Let our drill instructors answer your questions. Question from Jason Cruz, heyojayo: Would Bootcamp be able to detail the pros and cons of buying two 50 delta calls vs. one 100 delta call, or point me to an episode if there is one already? Question from Tad Briggs: What does the term "risk reversal" mean? What risk am I reversing? How should I use this strategy in my training?

Options Bootcamp 6: Complex Spreads Basic Training: Today we're going to dive into complex spreads. What are complex spreads? We're usually talking multi-leg spreads. Calendars are when you buy and sell a call/put at the same strike price, but in a different month. Diagonals, a combination of a vertical and horizontal spread, can be a proxy to a covered call. The concept of the ratio, 1-to-1 on a simple spread, but you can play with the ratio. A stock repair strategy using diagonals, ratio risk reversals and collars. Roll Call: Mark and Dan sit down with Craig Pinkston, Senior Director of Operations at Zecco. Mail Call: Does the Theta decay occur just at open/close or is it a gradual decay throughout the day?
