"Selling to Serve" - As we head towards 2019, it's becoming evident that the entrepreneurial landscape in America is shifting - from the traditional male-oriented "competitive" format, to a softer, and arguably stronger female-driven model of "collaboration". On this week's episode we are joined by female powerhouse Jennifer Diepstraten, the CEO and founder of High Ticket Sales Success. If you're ready to know exactly what to say to get a YES! from your ideal client, don't miss tuning in as host Katerina Cozias interviews Jennifer on the importance of recognizing that if you want to kill it in business, you must "sell to serve". “It's so easy for us to forget that we're not immortal. I mean we know we're going to not be here forever, but we act like we have tomorrow. And so for me it's actually about stepping through things that are scary. Like I'm pretty sure one of the reasons I decided to go into sales is because it was scary, but I knew that that fear was holding me back from something bigger.” This Week’s Intention: I have today to serve in a really great way while being paid handsomely. This week on I HAVE TODAY with Diane Forster, Diane talks sales, strategy, and self-worth with Jennifer Diepstraten, who is a High Ticket Sales Mentor. Jennifer has 20 years experience in sales, relationship coaching and communication settings, so she understands what it really takes to inspire people to take decisive action. As a result of her expertise, she's sold over $14,000,000 in products and services, working for world leading biotech and medical equipment companies all through one on one sales consultations. Listen in to learn about discovering your worth, and being more confident to ask for it in your business. “Believe what you have is valuable. Just believe in it because it's a gift. Gifts are meant to be given, not kept. So what you have is a gift. Believe in it. And then go sell the heck out of it. Come on, make some money… because you're here to make a bigger impact. Three reasons why you should charge what you're worth, and ask for it in a confident way: Your time is your most precious commodity. You are more knowledgeable, talented, and experienced than you know. When you charge too little, you devalue yourself. “If you're not converting sales, it's not making sense to your potential client... If you’re not converting, either you're not aligned with what it is that you're saying, or the potential client doesn't understand what you're saying. They might understand it in theory, but they're not connecting with the value.” Each week we end our episode with a mantra meditation, to help you apply the concepts discussed to your life in a transformative way. So, read the mantra below, or listen in to the episode. Shift your mindset, remove limitations, and begin to see miracles in your life. Below is the meditation from this week. Enjoy, be empowered, and set your intention to live in abundance. I have today to love my life. Something really good is gonna happen to me today. I can feel it. Miracles big and small. I notice them all. Yes, yes, yes. Thank you. I have today to make a lot of money. I see money everywhere I look. Money comes into my life easily and effortlessly through multiple sources on a continuous basis. I make money when I sleep. I make money when I go to the mailbox. I make money when I look at my email. I make money when I look in my bank account. Money just shows up in my life. I am so blessed to have so much money flow into my life so easily and effortlessly. I get paid handsomely for doing jobs that I love to do. I love the way I make money. It's satisfying to me. It feels good to me. It's not evil or greedy or selfish to want and desire money. We are spiritual beings. Having a human experience and spending money and making money is a part of the journey. It's an infinite abundant, limitless universe and so limited by nothing, I can make as much money as I want to make. And I do such good things with the money that I make. I provide for my life and my family with riches and wonderful, nice things that make me feel really good. It feeds my soul. I also give back to the community and to the world and I have a clear understanding that we all need to make money and that it's good to make money and that it's good to spend money. It keeps the economy moving. There will be no scarcity. There isn't going to be another crash. None of that is going to happen. That's just the outside influences coming in, making me believe false things that aren't even true. What I know for sure is that I am the one in the power. I am the one in control. I decide how I feel about money and I decide how I spend my money. I also decide how I make my money. I decide how I give my money away. I love spending money. I love making money. I have so much fun with my money. Money, money, money, money is everywhere. Money is abundance. Money is love. Money is happiness, money is joyful. Money feels great today, all day. No matter where I go, no matter what I do, I will feel good about the money that I spend and I will feel good about the money that I make. I will also look and see the opportunities to make money. Wherever I look, my mind is so open to the potential with business partnerships, with new clients, with offering my services, the potential to help others and serve in a really great way and for that service, I will get paid handsomely for it. I am so smart. I am so talented. I am so gifted. I am so worthy. I am so brilliant. I am so dynamic and I love how powerful I am. I love my ability to earn a fantastic living and I love all the money that flows into my life. I deserve it. I've earned it. I'm worth it just like everybody else on this planet. I love being a money magnet and I love how easy it is to attract money to me. And so it is. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. [18:27] - Jennifer’s suggestion for her clients is to start at a high price point, she explains. [20:29] - In the past, Orion used to sell her mentors more than she sold herself. She then shares insight into how she starts off conversations with her clients, and why she spends time discussing their breakthroughs. [23:53] - Similarly, Jennifer usually starts conversations by asking “what are your wins?” or “what are your accomplishments?” Orion then points out that we listen better when we’re listening to teach, rather than listening just for ourselves. [25:49] - Jennifer is an auditory learner, she reveals, and talks briefly about the way that she learns best. [26:53] - When it comes to topics like relationships and spirituality, how does Jennifer quantify what she’s offering in the sales process? [29:35] - Jennifer addresses the question of how to raise your fees without giving more stuff away. In doing so, she uses a metaphor about selling kids’ toys at a garage sale. [34:52] - Orion relates her experiences with doing Jennifer’s exercise. [36:10] - We hear more about how to apply this to selling services that don’t have a monetary ROI. [37:49] - Jennifer provides a specific and detailed example about a client of hers to illustrate what she has been saying. [43:34] - Knowing what your quantum benefits are helps you figure out exactly what it is that you help people with, Jennifer points out. [45:31] - What is the conversation like when Jennifer has just met someone at a conference or a seminar and is trying to attract them to her offer? [47:32] - Orion starts a roleplay session with Jennifer to demonstrate how the process works. [49:27] - One of the things that Jennifer teaches is to know who is in the room, and to use that information to make the decision about what to lead with. [51:33] - Orion focuses on the topic of intention, asking Jennifer what someone can do to purify their intention. [54:19] - What are Jennifer’s three top tips to living a stellar life? 1: Be crystal clear about what it is that you want. 2: Allow yourself to have it. 3: Pay attention to what you’re grateful for. What an amazing conversation with powerhouse sales expert, Jennifer Diepstraten. Jennifer took her expertise and experience in sales and started her own coaching business where she helps entrepreneurs grow and improve their personal businesses. Have you ever thought about charging more money for your services? What stops you? As Jennifer shared, most of her clients start to internally question their personal value, they worry no one will pay the higher price, and they ultimately fear the amount of business they will lose if they raise their rates. In reality, WE are the ones who are uncomfortable with the higher price, not the clients. Some people will not be able to afford us, but the reality is, that’s already true of our current rate. It is the confidence we have in ourselves, our expertise, and our value that needs to change because once we do that, the right clients will come and they WILL pay. There is so much that goes into selling ourselves, our product, and our business. Real estate is personal and selling something personal always makes the sale aspect more difficult. If you try to help everyone that can’t afford you, it will no longer be a business, it’ll be a hobby. You have to not only have the confidence to ask for the rate you deserve, but know how to properly communicate that price with prospective clients. Changing our mindsets and being confident in who we are and what we bring to the table as professionals in our field will allow our businesses to grow in the best way possible. Find out how you can take your confidence and sales to the next level from the sales Rockstar herself! Show Features Here are some of the key takeaways from this episode. Your hosts, Peter and Jennifer Diepstraten of FamilyCo, and parents of a blended family, are here to inspire love and possibility in your relationships. We designed this podcast to show you that it really is POSSIBLE to have deep, connected relationships and families. Whether you’ve lost who you are as a married couple and you feel like you need a clear direction, whether you’re uneasy about approaching a sister, brother, child or parent again, or whether you want to get along better with an ex, this podcast goes beyond relationship advice to show you relationship transformations in love, understanding, and communication. Their inspiration comes from their marriage, their divorces and hardships with family, and from a friend, who first demonstrated that divorced parents could babysit for each other’s children. This podcast is founded on the following five principals: 1. A solid foundation and direction for relationship starts with a transformation in how you see your relationship, rather than from following relationship advice; 2. That although your relationships are not always what you expected, perhaps this journey is perfect just as it is; 3. Golden opportunities to have a deeper connection are right under your nose; 4. You already have what you need to allow what you want into your life, to speak your truth, and to stop second-guessing yourself; and 5. Real partnership is one of the ultimate and readily attainable human experiences. Ready to put an end to broken-record conversations and relationship ruts? If you want to let go of the past and create a rock-solid foundation for your relationships, you will need three key principles. In this episode, Jennifer and Peter Diepstraten of FamilyCo discuss the first of the three principles, “You DO your view.” This explains why we continue to do the same thing over again in our relationships and communication, even when we KNOW we shouldn’t do the same thing over again. This enlightening episode will show you that change, or transformation, can happen in an instant; and once you see something differently, relationship change can be very easy. Enjoy the show! In this humorous episode, Peter and Jennifer Diepstraten of FamilyCo share keys #2 and #3 about how to keep your love alive and make productive partnerships. Key #2 is why the “shoulds” erode our love in spite of our best intentions and what to do. Should the toddler be poddy-training so soon? Should the tween do more chores? Should I go to the gym now or after dinner? Should I put up with that or not? The “shoulds” are all of our expectations and ideals that get in the way of experiencing appreciation for what we have rather than focusing on what we don’t have. Jennifer and Peter share their different views of how their sons should be raised and how to keep those different views from getting in the way of their relationship. Key #3 creates the possibility of being in a true partnership - one where you lift each other up and become your best selves together. They share their journey to create a North Star TM or purpose for their partnership and marriage. Enjoy the show! On this episode, I interview the king and queen of magical relationships, Peter & Jennifer Diepstraten of FamilyCo.com on a topic that EVERYONE can relate to: creating loving relationships with all of the people in your life that keep on getting better and better as the years go by. I know you know that isn't the norm: the divorce rate is nearly 60%, family holidays strike a chord of tension and anxiety in most, and some spend their lives tolerating rather than loving the people they're surrounded by. What's so awesome about the tips in this podcast is that they are super simple and can be applied at anytime with anyone, no matter the circumstances. They've created this great 10-minute quiz called: "How to Tell if You're Trying to Fix Your Partner (and possibly making things worse)" that you can take for free on their site to see exactly where you stand (uh oh). Its a fun one :) Connect with Peter & Jennifer: www.familyco.com Connect with Camille: www.reciperx.com https://www.facebook.com/reciperx https://twitter.com/reciperx
