He thinks Mims would be a good pick at 20th and try to get Zack Frazier or someone else on the line in the second round. If you draft a receiver in the first round, you're going to want to throw to him a lot, and it creates potential issues in Arthur Smith's offense. He wants to see Calvin Austin unlocked and utilized. It’s a huge Super Bowl after show for the guys, as we talk about Beyonce, Patrick Mahomes, and a huge debate breaks out about the definition of a “dynasty” in sports. Plus B-Dog believes Patrick Mahomes is the greatest quarterback of all-time after that win, which the Robs don’t agree with due to his young age, but everyone does agree that Usher killed it at the halftime show performance. And we laugh at the fact that neither team understood the new overtime rules, and B-Dog has a bone to pick with Kyle Shannahan. Oh yeah, and we actually talk basketball on the show, as Rob does NOT like the addition of Spencer Dinwiddie to the Lakers because he can’t figure out how they’re going to use him. We also jump into some of the bigger splash moves from the trade deadline, the buzz about Trae Young’s future in Atlanta, and how much Rob enjoyed the unveiling of the Kobe statue and where the three statues will go. The LA Fire Department gets our Big Shot of the Week for a daring river rescue, and with Valentine’s Day this week we play a game called “Heart Broken” about the biggest losses sports fans have ever suffered.

Today the Chatterbox Crew all React to the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs! CJ Stroud and the Texans ran through a buzz saw on Saturday. The Offense was limited and couldn't get anything going as Lamar Jackson SHREDDED the Defense. The San Francisco 49ers comeback from behind down in the 4th quarter to beat the Green Bay Packers 24-21 their first comeback win from being down in the 4th in the Kyle Shannahan era... 1-30 something??? The Jared Goff Lions hold off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Biggest game of the weekend Patrick Mahomes vs Josh Allen, and Chiefs vs Bills was fantastic. Back and forth all night unfortunately the game would be decided on a missed field goal...

To me, the Packers now will be facing off against the best team in the NFL, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Packers playoff achilles heel. And this game doesn't get any easier considering the Packers have a serious rest disadvantage because of the Bills reschedule, which shouldn't negatively affect other teams. We compare Lafleur to Kyle Shannahan, and while the 49ers are a great team there are ways to beat this team. What will matter the most though is which team can adapt to the weather on Sunday, and limit their mistakes.

The boys are back for the last time in 2023 to recap the Ravens absolutely SMACKING the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas day. In all facets of the game, the Ravens were dominant for the vast majority of the contest en route to a 33-19 dub over the NFC-leading Niners. Josh and Dante dive into their ultimate thoughts and feelings on this game, and where this one leaves the Ravens as they have to quickly turn around and face another very good team coming to town on New Year's Eve. Dante gives his thoughts on the defense, and more specifically, Mike Macdonald throwing everything and the kitchen sink at Kyle Shannahan's offense. The defensive performance was capstoned by four interceptions of Brock Purdy, and one of Sam Darnold. Kyle Hamilton had yet another incredible primetime performance leading to the question… is he Him? Also, Lamar Jackson is a top 2 QB in the NFL and, spoiler alert, he's not #2. Josh discusses why #8 is #1, why he should be the league MVP (again) and Dante provides some interesting numbers supporting Josh's thoughts. Lastly, the boys, rightfully, sing the praises of one John Harbaugh. On a resume already stuffed with big wins and accolades, John Harbaugh adds yet another, this time to the tune of a seventh 14+ point victory over an opponent with a winning record. Moving on from last week, the Ravens have the Miami Dolphins coming to good ol' Baltimore this Sunday at 1pm. The boys take a look at the headlines surrounding both teams coming into this contest, the numbers in each unit on both sides of the ball, and ultimately the keys to victory for the Ravens in this one. Lastly, Josh and Dante take a quick look at the College Football Playoff which kicks off Monday at 5pm. Both men give their thoughts on each matchup, some bold predictions, as well as who they believe will ultimately lift the CFP trophy in the end. Dante wraps up the show with his best bets for the NFL week 17 slate, and we send you all into the best weekend of your lives. We cannot express how thankful we are for all of you. This year has been one for the books and we don't say that lightly. Hopefully you'll continue to rock with us in 2024. See yall next year. Cheers!

Hour 1 The Jets have opened the 21-day practice window for Aaron Rodgers, so he was on the field throwing footballs yesterday. He's still a long way from actually playing in a game. Gio thinks he wants to be known as the guy who came back from an achilles injury in the same season, even if it's just to get in one game and complete one pass. Would Rodgers see the Jets at 6-8 as still a viable playoff team if he came back and played? Denver looks like a team right now that can sneak into the playoffs. The Jets have to win the next 2 games to make it interesting. Jerry is here for his first update, but first we got word that Yuseff is returning from Morocco. Week 13 starts tonight in Dallas between the Seahawks and Cowboys and we heard from Geno Smith on his confidence. Dak Prescott talked about stacking wins every week. Rob Saleh talked about Rodgers being back at practice, saying he's not cleared to play football. Kyle Shannahan talked about the Niners being favored in Philadelphia. Diontae Johnson said he apologized to his Steelers teammates for his lack of effort. Shannon Sharpe said he brushes his teeth between 7-10 times a day. The Rangers beat the Red Wings at MSG. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is thinking of getting a Korean body scrub while he's in NYC today. A few callers said don't do it as it's a very rough scrub in very delicate areas. And it's a same sex scrub.  Hour 2 Luis Severino is going from the Yankees to the Mets on a 1-year deal. Gio thinks it's a smart signing and could be a huge bargain at $13 million. But is this a sign of what we're going to get in the first year of David Stearns? Steve Cohen already said there will not be big names on the team and big money signings. We also talked about the potential for Pete Alonso to be traded during the season. The Mets might have to give him a 10-year contract if he has a great season this year. Boomer loves Alonso but if the Mets are bad next year he would trade him for a ton of assets. Maybe the Mets could trade him to a contender during the season and bring him back. Gio thinks the Yankees are going to have a big offseason as they seem to be talking to the Padres about Juan Soto. He also thinks the Yankees will get Yamamoto. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Rob Saleh talking about the 21-day practice window for Aaron Rodgers. Mike McDaniel made an attempt at a joke that fell flat yet again. Shannon Sharpe talked about Megan Thee Stallion and what he would do to her if they dated. We tried to figure out what he meant by his sayings. In the final segment of the hour, Gio wants Dua Lipa to come into the studio since she's in NYC in a cab right now. The radio station Holiday party is in our cafeteria.  Hour 3 The spread in the game tonight is Dallas -8.5 at home against the Seahawks. Dak Prescott is putting up great numbers but the fan base does  not believe he can win the big game. Boomer doesn't think the Cowboys can go into San Francisco and win, but they could go into Philadelphia and win. He thinks the Cowboys could beat both of those teams at home. Jerry returns for an update but first we talked to the morning show at 102.7 about getting Dua Lipa on the show. Sal Licata said he was going to punch the microphone reading the Mets aren't in on big name free agents but the Yankees are. He said if the Yankees get Yamamoto and Soto, ‘I give up!' Matt Rhule talked about getting a college QB out of the portal costs $2 million and said some teams have $6 million players. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer said the leg lift started with his Bengals in Denver. Utah State QB Levi Williams is skipping his senior year to become a Navy Seal. Gio said there are golf guys on YouTube that just play a round and get millions of views. Gio likes Grant Horvat and Fat Perez. He said they have a ton of comments on their videos and none of the comments are negative.  Hour 4 Joey from Yonkers found a way to get the Jets  into the playoffs at 9-8 and they would go to Baltimore. A lot would have to happen, but there is a way. The Giants could squeeze in at 8-9 going to Dallas. These are not likely scenarios, but possible. With very very tiny percentages. Yuseff has returned from Morocco. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with a preview of tonight's Seahawks/Cowboys game. Kyle Shanahan said it doesn't make a lot of sense that the Niners are favored over the Eagles in Philadelphia. Shannon Sharpe talked about showering after games and how he used to bring his own soap while others used to share soap after pulling it out of their cheeks. The Moment of The Day involves Shannon Sharpe and ‘a quarter to three'. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the further places Boomer's gone to play golf.

Hour 1: The Mets lost to the Braves again last night after having a 4-1 lead. Max Scherzer pitched well in the first part of the game and then got hit all over the ballpark. Daniel Vogelbach continues to do nothing on this team and continues to be in the lineup. No matter how much money the Mets spend, the Braves are always going to be better. We all feel a Braves sweep with Justin Verlander on the mound tonight. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Mets in Atlanta. Adam Ottavino gave up the game winning HR. Pete Alonso was hit by a pitch by Charlie Morton and he actually apologized after the game. The Yankees were postponed yesterday due to the air quality so they will play two today. The Tampa Rays have won five in a row now. Gary Sanchez hit another HR for the Padres. Noah Syndergaard had another bad outing for the Dodgers. The Nuggets beat the Heat as Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray had 30 point triple doubles, the first time a duo has done that in NBA history. Zion Williamson was all over social media for bad reasons. After announcing he's having a baby, a porn star came out and said they were together very recently. Stephen A. Smith reacted to him not playing basketball but having multiple women. Rory McIlroy met the media and talked about the PGA Tour and LIV golf merger. He said he feels like a sacrificial lamb. He still hates LIV. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Mets fans who are frustrated with Daniel Vogelbach staying in the lineup. A caller has a Hogan's Heroes reference which leads us into talking about the troubled life of Bob Crane.  Hour 2: Gio watched a lot of the press conferences yesterday in regards to the merger between the PGA Tour and LIV golf. Jay Monahan, Commissioner of the PGA Tour, is out there taking the slings and arrows as he should be. Of course this whole thing came down to money for the PGA. Gio said Bryson DeChambeau sounds like a moron and should stop talking about politics and 9/11. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio does his best Jim Nantz impression of what it might be like now that the PGA Tour and LIV golf have merged. A caller wants to know if Jerry is concerned about the Saudis starting a cornhole league. Jerry starts with audio from Rory McIlroy talking about the merger. The Mets lost again in Atlanta as Adam Ottavino gave up a game winning HR. Max Scherzer pitched great until he didn't. Pete Alonso left the game early after getting hit with a pitch on his left wrist. The smoke in the area should be improved by Friday. The Nuggets beat the Heat thanks to huge games by Jokic and Murray. Jimmy Butler said the Heat lacked energy and that can't happen. Chris Paul said kids heckle her kid at school because he never won a championship. Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany, sells her used clothes online and people think it's weird. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer thinks LIV golf won in all of this, but the PGA Tour was also saved in the process.  Hour 3: We have a coffee problem here at WFAN. We are low on supplies and we blame people who make giant cups of coffee in the overnight hours. Or maybe someone is stealing coffee beans. A mailman calls to complain that he has to work in the smoke. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Mets loss in Atlanta. Pete Alonso was hit with a fastball on his left wrist but said there was no intent. X-rays were negative but he will have a CT scan as well. The Nuggets beat the Heat and take a 2-1 series lead. Jokic and Murray each had 30 point triple doubles, the first time ever that teammates have done that in the same game. Rory McIlroy talked about the merger between the PGA Tour and LIV. Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell said Jared Goff is better here than he was with the Rams. Kyle Shannahan talked about Brock Purdy's progress. In the final segment of the hour, does Nikola Jokic want to be a big star or does he just want to play basketball and go home? Would he be a bigger star if he wasn't from Serbia? Hour 4: The Mets were very disappointing again last night and tonight's a big spot to save some face. Starting pitching falls apart in the middle of the game and the bullpen can't save them. The Mets are an underdog tonight with Justin Verlander on the mound. The Braves and their fans look at the Mets as a fraud and a joke. Daniel Vogelbach is still on the Mets and still in the lineup and nobody understands why. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Mets losing again in Atlanta even though they were up 4-1. Pete Alonso got hit on the wrist and was removed from the game. Charlie Morton is the guy who hit him and Pete said he apologized to him. The Nuggets beat the Heat and take a 2-1 series lead. Rory McIlroy met the media to talk about the merge of the PGA Tour and LIV. He still hates LIV and still wants them to go away. In the final segment of the hour, we discuss the crazy documentary called ‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace'. It's on Discovery+ & Max.

The 2022 regular season has come to a conclusion and Pete Carroll has finished the year with another winning record. Not only that, he swept both Kliff Kingsbury and Sean McVay on his way to a 9-8 season with Geno Smith under center. Now Kingsbury has been cast out of Arizona and reports are that McVay could be done in LA. That could leave us with just one NFC West Frat Boy remaining of the trio. But is there a route to where Pete is the last man standing in the division after this weekend? First, the Seahawks would have to get a win over a San Francisco 49ers team that is considered one of the best teams in the NFL going into the post season. Their 10-game winning streak would have to come to an end. What factors at play this weekend actually favor the Seahawks? There's certainly some history on Seattle's side when it comes to Coach Carroll and the postseason. Secondly, the loss dealt to the Niners would have to come in a devastating fashion, and in a way not unfamiliar to Kyle Shannahan. But is that really the way we would want to see our Seahawks win on Saturday? We all have something to say after the doubters wrote off the Seahawks 2022 season - and it's not over, yet!
