Ela Tolstová pochádza z Bratislavy. Už v 16 rokoch napísala svoju prvú pesničku a založila kapelu Tolstoys. Podarilo sa jej to aj vďaka tomu, že sa prihlásila do programu TalentGuide organizácie LEAF, kde bola jej mentorkou Ester Wiesnerová, ktorá študovala jazz na Berklee College of Music v Bostone. Ela ako aktívna študentka spoluorganizovala aj Dobrý Trh v Bratislave, kde mala na starosti sekciu umenie. Tolstoys je šesť členná kapela na čele so speváčkou Elou Tolstovou a basgitaristom Michalom Smetanom. Opakovane účinkovali na najväčších lokálnych festivaloch ako Pohoda, Grape či Colours of Ostrava a tiež na zahraničných showcasových festivaloch po Európe ako MENT, BUSH, Waves, alebo Eurosonic Noorderslag. V minulosti boli predkapelou pre zahraničných umelcov ako Tom Odell či Lola Marsh. V rozhovore sa rozprávame o objavení jej talentu, o prvých koncertoch, ale aj o vzdelávaní v hudbe.

Ende Januar veröffentlichte das israelische Duo ihr zweites Album "Someday Tomorrow Maybe", das hauptsächlich von ihren Tourerfahrungen handelt. Kein Wunder, waren Lola Marsh doch nach ihrem sehr erfolgreichen Debüt fast ständig auf Tour. Sängerin Yael Shoshana Cohen sowie Gitarrist und Keyboarder Gil Landau harmonieren prächtig. Auf dem "schweren" zweiten Album finden sich Folk-Pop Perlen und melodieseliger Indiepop, dem man sich gerne hingibt. Lola Marsh haben ihren Sound gefunden und perfektioniert. Bevor die beiden mit ihrer Band im März für ein Konzert nach Berlin kommen, sind Lola Marsh heute zu Gast auf radioeins und werden auch einen Song live performen.

Das isrealische Indiepop Duo ist ein gern gesehener Gast auf radioeins. Seit ihrer ersten EP (2016) laufen die Songs von Lola Marsh im Programm und das Duo spielte auch schon ein feines Loungekonzert auf radioeins. Sängerin Yael Shoshana Cohen verfügt über eine Ausnahmestimme und ihre Songs verströmen einen ganz eigenen Charme. Momentan arbeitet das Duo an seinem zweiten Album und haben trotzdem die zeit gefunden, um bei uns im Studio vorbeizuschauen.

Follow them here   SIMON DOOM Simon Doom lead single “I Feel Unloved” premiered on Noisey.com and has since been featured on Spotify's New Music Friday and named one of the best songs of 2017 by NME Magazine. As John Hill from Clrvynt.com put it in the streaming premiere for Babyman “Doom has nailed down how to imbue a song with both undeniable catchiness and rich atmosphere”. The record, which was co-produced by Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser (both of MGMT) is Simon O’Connor’s post-baby record much in the way In Utero was for Kurt Cobain or Smoke Rings For My Halo for Kurt Vile. That sort of perspective can either kill an artist or push him to new creative heights. Babymanundoubtedly puts Simon Doom in the latter category. ROCKY SANDOVAL R&B crooner, Rocky Sandoval is on a whole new level.  Having spent over a decade in the industry and seeing multiple "breaks", he's hit the reset button a bit and picked up a new sound.  He stops by to bring us his new single "Still In Love" produced by The Stereotypes and chats about his journey.  Follow him here
