El ayuntamiento de Carboneras lleva 9 años sin cumplir la sentencia del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Andalucía y el hotel sigue sin demolerse, después de dos décadas de pleitos en los diferentes tribunales españoles. Y el tema traspasa nuestras fronteras, pues "Greenpeace" ha presentado una demanda ante el Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos (TEDH) de Estrasburgo, pidiendo amparo para revocar la sentencia del Tribunal Supremo, que en Diciembre de 2022, dictaminó que el hotel almeriense no podía ser demolido por tener licencia de obras. "El Algarrobico", es un caso emblemático en la lucha por preservar los entornos naturales de nuestro país y lleva demasiado tiempo enquistado y sin solucionarse. At the Primavera Sound festival this year Johann Wald and I were lucky enough to put together two titans of modern pop music, AG Cook and Sega Bodega, for an epic Line Noise conversation into the state of music, from hyperpop to Britpop, Caroline Polachek to Charli XCX. On May 30th, under sun, thunder, and lightning, Primavera Sound, the biggest festival in Spain descended on Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum for the 22nd time, kicking off this year's summer festival season in Catalonia. With a solid mix of Catalan summer hits, rock bangers, catchy pop tunes, and international names such as Lana Del Rey, Pulp, Deftones, and Troye Sivan, the 268,000 attendees were in for the party of the year. We talk to the up-and-coming Catalan artist Mama Dousha, whose infectious dance tune ‘Rikiti' has everyone on the dancefloor, about what it is like being a new artist in Catalonia and his decision to sing in Catalan instead of English. Oriol Escudè Maciá joins Lea Beliaeva Bander to teleport listeners back to a weekend of music and fun, and to give a rundown of all the biggest concerts and festivals in Catalonia this summer. To mark the 20th anniversary of famed British label Hyperdub, Line Noise organised a round-table interview with four of the label's key artists - founder Kode9, Ikonika, DJ Haram and Heavee - at Primavera Sound 2024. Exilée en France, c'est à Lyon qu'elle fonde son groupe avec Aymeric Krol, Maël Salètes et Régis Monte. Son troisième album est le fruit d'une recherche sincère d'authenticité et d'innovation, d'une alliance inédite entre chanson somalienne et rock des origines, enrichissant ainsi de son inspiration les paysages les plus inattendus de la sono mondiale.
