ESPN Films' “The Cave of Adullam,” Executive Produced by Laurence Fishburne. The film, which won the “Best Documentary Feature” at the Tribeca Festival, tells Inspirational Story of Jason Wilson's Dojo in Detroit. ESPN Films' latest documentary “The Cave of Adullam” is currently available to stream on ESPN+. Directed by Academy Award & Emmy nominated filmmaker Laura Checkoway (“Edith+Eddie,” “Lucky”), the documentary tells the story of Jason Wilson and the transformational training academy he runs for young Black boys. With his mantra, “it's easier to raise boys than repair broken men,” Wilson's methodology teaches emotional stability instead of discipline, setting these children on a path to become whole and healthy adults. When Wilson started his dojo, he thought young Black boys needed more discipline, but quickly realized what they needed was more love. The film introduces us to four young recruits who are at a crossroads. Wilson challenges each of them to confront their unresolved anger, fear, anxiety, and lack of focus as they face the toughest decisions of their young lives. Wilson, who serves as co-producer on the film, is the author of “Battle Cry” and Amazon best-seller, “Cry Like a Man: Fighting for Freedom from Emotional Incarceration,” a memoir that follows the generational abuse, abandonment, and emotional suppression of Wilson's family and the redemptive power of God through tears, vulnerability, and ultimately healing. The Cave of Adullam has garnered numerous acknowledgments and awards for its work teaching boys how to confront and conquer their negative emotions with composure introspectively.

Even as President Joe Biden has emphasized that the U.S. and NATO do not want to engage with Russia militarily, Congress has pushed the administration to take a hard stance against Russia through unprecedented financial and economic sanctions. In recent years, behind the scenes, lobbyists representing Ukrainian interests pushed for sanctions on the other combustible issue, gas. Tonight, Playbook author Ryan Lizza has dinner in downtown DC with lobbyist Daniel Vajdich, on his strategy, before the war, to help deter Russian aggression and protect Ukraine, and his thoughts on the potential fallout from being burned by lobbyists. The His & Her Money Show: Managing Money, Marriage, and Everything In Between
Family is everything, and being able to guide our children spiritually and financially to shape their futures is such an important part of it. At first glance, it may look intimidating, but it doesn't have to be - and our guest today is living proof. For today's episode of the His & Her Money Show, Jerrad Lopes is on board to give us all some insight on his own personal growth as a father, and how he's helping guys around the world lead their families spiritually and beyond. Growing up without a dad shaped Jerrad's life more than he initially realized, and today he's a pastor dedicated to ministry and family as the founder of Dad Tired. When Jerrad created Dad Tired, it was completely unexpected. He wanted to create a space for men to come together and share their journeys and experiences, and it snowballed from there into something amazing. With his podcast and community, Jerrad is supplying resources to help guide fathers in leading their sons and daughters to Christ, success, and happiness, and pushing through the same adversaries he experienced himself towards fixing up and nurturing the ultimate family dynamic. This is such a great episode for anybody, and Jerrad is giving away so much wisdom on the topic of manhood, family building, and becoming the version of yourself that you always knew you could be! “Peace is not only better than war but infinitely more arduous” George Bernard Shaw This is episode no. 8 with former Lt Colonel and Commanding Officer of the Irish Army Ranger Wing John Molloy. We have a fascinating episode for you today. John Molloy is a former Lt Colonel and Commanding Officer of the Army Ranger Wing in the Irish Defence Forces and most recently a retired Senior Political Affairs Officer with the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Lebanon. He is a father, husband and doting grandfather to Lucy & Ellen and luckily enough he's my Dad's cousin too. John has had a fascinating career working his way up in the Irish Defense Forces to then becoming instrumental in forging peace between Lebanon and Israel. John worked tirelessly with his team to create an opportunity for discourse so that both the Israelis and Lebanese people could live in peace. There are many unsung heroes in our lives and John is one who will go down in history for all his endeavours. There's a monument erected in Lebanon to acknowledge all his work. In this discussion, we talk about how John built resilience in boarding school and how it helped him transition from school to a soldier. He became a soldier in the 70's in a troubled Ireland, a country that was quite different to what we know today. We also learn about the mindset of a soldier in battle and how leaders take decisions during pressurised moments. We learn about teamwork and leadership and the importance of getting to know those who you work with on a daily basis. We also learn about trusting your instinct and being willing to fail because that is the best way to learn. I'm so excited about this episode and I hope you enjoy it. So let's get going with the inspiring John Molloy.

Jason shares the inspiration behind his book and message for readers. Masculinity does not define all of being human, it’s only part of a man. “There is no such thing as toxic masculinity, I say a man becomes toxic when he only allows himself to be defined or live under the attributes of masculinity.” We dig into some of Jason’s profound experiences that have shaped his walk with Christ. At CATTA, he is more interested in sharpening each other rather than polishing. Hear more the creative and strategic language that Jason uses to rethink clichés. Jason Wilson, who runs the Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy (CATTA) in Detroit, Michigan, has a new book titled 'Cry Like a Man: Fighting for Freedom from Emotional Incarceration'. We discuss the lynching of Jason's grandfather, the murder of his brother, his mothers battles with depression and how generational trauma in the black community has misconstrued masculinity. We also discuss CATTA and why Jason left a successful music production career in the 90's--making records for the likes of Kurupt, The Dogg Pound, and Redman--to pursue a life dedicated to saving boys through faith and martial arts.

Jeffrey Lin was born with a cruel, hyperactive immune disease with no cure. Literally everything in the world is toxic. There are no safe foods to eat and he constantly struggles to breathe. Every moment the world tears him apart inside and out by intense itching, infections, and swelling. Even his tendons and ligaments react uncontrollably, causing his physiology to be continually twisted. For 10-years he couldn't touch water. He's battered by every weather change. The attacks never eased over 26-years to allow sleep. He has experienced countless mental and emotional problems as well due to unrelenting stress, chronic sleep deprivation, malnutrition, PTSD, and medication side effects.
