I am Reverend Joseph Sanford today we will read Proverbs chapter 3 verse five a passage on wisdom as it pertains to us and God trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight, we have such a limited view of our lives, and of the world, and of what's happening around us we can only see one direction we can only look back we can't even properly look into the future even if we have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen we reflect backwards, and we try to let it guide us moving forward, but even then how limited are we we kind of know our own intentions we have no idea of the true intentions of people around us we don't really know the whole story about much of anything as much as we might think we do. We can turn on plenty of new stations and listen to Bonnia Fouts or tell us they know what's going on but they don't, so whatever is happening whatever you're dealing with bring it to God and prayer and trust that God will be with you to reveal what it is you need and may you have grace and peace Message brought to you by Rev. I am Reverend Joseph Sanford, and today we're going to begin at the beginning Genesis one verse one the opening words of all of our scripture heard maybe differently when God began to create the heavens and the earth that's the verse you might be used to it being in the beginning God created, but it can be translated when God began to create the heavens and the earth either way what we find in the opening phrase of the scripture of all that we've come to call our holy word we find that it is God, who is at work it is God who made a choice to bring order. It is God who brought design and plants. If you had to sum up the Easter message in just one sentence, what would it be? Would you talk about the cross and how Jesus died for our sins, or would you talk about the empty tomb on Easter? I just finished reading Matthew last week and this verse jumped off the page at me. Matthew 28:6 says, “He Is Not Here. He Has Risen.” There it is-- there is the Easter message. Yes, Jesus died on the cross, but he didn't stay in the tomb. “He Is Not Here. He Has Risen.” This is such an important message we want to instill in our kids around Easter. So today on this episode, I want to talk about how we can help our kids understand the true meaning of Easter. I am so excited to have my mom back on the podcast as we talk about some Easter Traditions we did growing up.  My mom is super creative, and she came up with these eggs that share the Easter message. She is going to share what item goes in each egg as well as the corresponding Scripture Verse that goes with it. A popular misunderstanding of Jesus is that Jesus was softer and laxer on issues of sin and obedience than the Pharisees. That he was more “loving” than the traditions and laws and upended it.
