"ROYAL BLOOD!" Well, Cannonheads. The Cannon Bros (Frank & Geoff) have one last Cannon hurrah before shooting up the coffin of The Cannon Canon. The Cannon Canon is taking an indefinite hiatus (possibly returning with a new format/focus in the future) and what better way to send us off than with Cannon's "final" movie, HELLBOUND! In this episode, The Cannon Bros reminisce about their 4-year run and FINALLY try Bronson's cologne, Mandom! We chat about the wild tone shifts of Hellbound, the proto-Walker Texas Ranger vibes, the heavy lifting of acting from Calvin Levels and of course...thuddy quips from the “black hole of comedy”, Molasses 2x4! Thank you to everyone who listened and supported the show! Especially to our Patreon members and also to the author of The Cannon Film Guide series himself, Austin Trunick. We thought we'd be the future! But then Marion Cobretti pointed his gun at us and said, "No. You're history". Thanks for everything, Cannon fans. You know him you love him and how cool is it that he's been killed by both The Terminator and Marion Cobretti?!! I now present to you The Night Slasher from Cobra the great Brian Earl Thompson!
Rocky Balboa...John Rambo...Marion Cobretti...guess that's where the lineage of Sylvester Stallone's cinematic titans just fizzled out! But let's not write off this unsung hero too quickly...he deals punches AND bullets, drives fast, mumbles incoherent babble around the match sticking out of his mouth, and takes the law into his own hands! And drops it! Or throws it really far so you can't find it and by the time you do the movie's ended and the body count is incalculable. That's not one of the words he says in the movie, incidentally. Because action speaks louder than words, right? Lucky for you, this podcast has both! Get ready for a thrill ride of talking by me and my frequent guest Dave Chan (who really should know better by now) as we try to figure out why Stallone would even try to play a snake. Kurt Russell did it so much better. Maybe they did Tango & Cash to compare notes...

It's a big milestone on the pod: the first truly bad movie. as James and Bryne dive into 1986's COBRA, starring Sylvester Stallone as Marion Cobretti, a tough cop whose dour demeanor is just as off-putting as his pizza eating habits. We discuss all the other weird food things in COBRA, too--gummy bears? Check. Hospital cake? Check. Eating an apple with leather gloves on? CHECK!!! We also talk about Stallone going from almost doing BEVERLY HILLS COP to rewriting the script with none of the humor left in for COBRA; Stallone being inspired by Bruce Springsteen when creating COBRA; the way the message of this movie and other things like PUNISHER are misconstrued by stupid cops who just want to beat up people; the car chase and how Stallone sold his Mercury used in the movie to a guy who then tried to set a land speed record while driving it; plus, we talk about the COVID vaccine; phones tracking us; jacking off (sorry, mom); our favorite movie theater experiences; ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD (two 36 year old white guys gushing over Tarantino? WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT!); and Bryne finally tells the story of his colonoscopy. Can't believe it took six episodes to get to that.

Thank Cobra It’s Friday! That’s right, we’re combing our love of horror and 80s action cheese as we attempt to charm the very deadly Sylvester Stallone cop classic, Cobra with returning Kill By Kill champion, Patrick Bromley (F This Movie). Along the way, we discuss Axe Gang Diversity, Marion Cobretti’s filthy batcave kitchen, and ask the important question: do snakes like hugging? Then we have the longest list of possibilities ever in a Choose Your Own Death-venture and finally, we have the longest discussion about John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band on any podcast ever recorded. Maybe 90 seconds? Seems like 75 seconds too long. And yet I didn’t cut it. YOU’RE WELCOME.Never fear - new episodes of Kill By Kill are made available every other Friday! Have something to say? ¡Enjoy camaradas!

Mellow greetings, Junkions and maniacs! This week, Brian and Cargill defrost 1993's Demolition Man. One of the stellar examples of the strange action hero meta film trend, Demolition Man pits Sylvester Stallone against Dennis Rodman's Joker. Is the nightmare future that Marion Cobretti sees when he sleeps? Will Joel Silver make an appearance in this episode (spoiler: yes)? Why is Sting following us around this month?!Download, listen, and share this episode to bring others joy joy feelings. As the chat progresses, we get three sea shells to the wind and commit several violations of the Verbal Morality Statute.
Selv hak.
Dave has a gift for Evan and Kris that’s really more of a present for himself, although it does offer a great set up for this episode of 80s Piece…er…Spoilerpiece Theatre. First, Evan shares his thoughts about the dog shit holiday film LOVE THE COOPERS, which features Steve Martin as a canine narrator. Next up is Dave, to talk about BROOKLYN, a movie that’s beautifully acted and looks wonderful, but has several Irish names he can’t pronounce. However the episode’s main event is that all three of the guys have seen both COBRA and BEVERLY HILLS COP, two pictures that were made under very similar circumstances. In discussing COBRA Kris observes Marion Cobretti’s pornographic glee in dispatching bad guys, Dave sees how it rips off DIRTY HARRY, and Evan notices its odd product placement. They can all agree that BEVERLY HILLS COP knows exactly what kind of movie it is, has amazing improvisation, and features Eddie Murphy walking around, fuckin’ owning every place he goes.
Definitely one of Berlin's most active figures and passionate personas. His name? Marion Cobretti. His moto? ''Techno with colors''. Maybe our C.E.O. can't fully agree with this moto since he is not the biggest fan of colors and light but good music always overcomes his obsession for pure darkness showcasing that techno has no borders and/or limitations - and that's why we run the white version of the label, agency and radio show featuring only the best of the best artists of the colorful kind. One of them definitely is the one and only Marion Cobretti. A techno butterfly running and sharing sounds from one club to another at the hottest clubs in town. From Ritter Butzke to Fiese Remise, from KitKatClub to Sisyphos and the list goes on. However, what defines a DJ is the ability of being a chameleon and having the flexibility on adapting immediately the set to the crowd. Marion is the perfect communicator with the floor - giving to the crowd what the crowd wants, entertaining the crowd and not the other way round. He can turn a darker techno set to a housey one with amazing technique and smoothness. While most of us are artists, sticking on our very own style, Marion Cobretti is a techno entertainer, a powerful warrior and genius servant of the dance floors and party goers. We haven't finished yet. Additionally he is as well a very successful and organized promoter dropping unstoppably events all around the city, from day-time open airs to deep rustic basements. Stallone makes his 4th appearance on our show as he teams up with Golan and Globus (who make their third appearance) for the "one tough cop" showcase that is Cobra. Marion Cobretti has to protect a key witness that can identify the Nightslasher, who isn't just a raving murderer as his name would suggest; he's also the head of a criminal organization that wants to take over the world. How about that? We all quite like Cobra and would give it a recommendation. If you enjoy any type of action films with badassery in it, this is a must do for you. http://searchforschlock.com/media/podcasts/sfs-061-Cobra.mp3 Download MP3 Cobra is the story of Los Angeles police officer Marion Cobretti and his one-man, several-automatic-weapon war on a cult of murderers led by the Night Slasher (played by that guy from X-Files with the face). So you can see why we knew we'd love it. American auteur Sylvester Stallone wrote and starred, but inexplicably did not direct; SFS favorites Golan and Globus produced, god bless 'em. This is the kind of movie that played right to every Reagan voter's base assumptions about rampant crime and the appropriately deadly response necessary -- we're talking almost Death Wish 3 levels of anarchy and vigilantism. (I may have mentioned that we love Golan-Globus.) Much of Cobra came from Stallone's idea of what Beverly Hills Cop should have been like, so maybe he's not as smart as we think he is.
