Společnost Meta tento týden ukázala, jak za rok pokročila s vývojem světa metaverse. Kromě nového hardwaru a několika her představila také zásadní partnerství Microsoftem. Co to pro Metu znamená? Zanedlouho uplyne rok od chvíle, co se aférami zmítaný Facebook přejmenoval na Meta Platforms. Majitel několika důležitých nástrojů na propojování globální společnosti, tedy Facebooku, Instagramu nebo komunikátoru WhatsApp, tehdy oznámil zásadní investice do vývoje a propagace virtuálního světa metaverse. Na to, že se v dohledné době budeme potkávat, bavit a pracovat právě tam, vsadil sám zakladatel a největší akcionář společnosti Mark Zuckerberg. Tento týden v rámci prezentace Meta Connect předvedl, jak se svými plány pokročil.Součástí Meta Connect bylo představení nových virtuálních brýlí Meta Quest Pro, které mají vyšší rozlišení, vylepšené technlogie ovládání a také nově umožňují přenášet výrazy a pohyby očí rovnou do virtuálních světů. Avatary uživatelů tak budou o trochu víc „jako živé“. Headset se bude uživatelům prodávat za 1 499 amerických dolarů (zhruba 37 000 korun), tedy cenu podobnou high-end telefonům nebo kvalitním notebookům na kancelářskou práci. Host dnešního podcastu Stopáž David Tvrdoň říká, že brýle budou svým zaměstnancům nabízet hlavně firmy, které chtějí, aby jejich lidé mohli líp spolupracovat na dálku.Davide, dnešní rozhovor točíme opět na dálku. Ostatně jako vždycky, protože ty sedíš ve studiu v Bratislavě. O kolik jsme tento týden blíž světu, kdy se tento podcast bude natáčet ve virtuální realitě a kvalita a plynutí naší konverzace se bude blížit osobnímu setkání?Jsme tomu přesně o rok blíž, než jsme byli před rokem. Ale stále nikdo nemůže říct, kdy přesně to bude. Já bych se například rád dostal do světa, kdy oba dva budeme ve virtuálním studiu, protože uznávám, že je tam rozměr, který nám v tomto dvourozměrném Zoomu chybí. Ale v tuhle chvíli to nevidím moc aktuálně. Musely by se stát dvě věci - oba naši zaměstnavatelé by se museli rozhodnout, že nám koupí velmi drahé zařízení, které budeme využívat hodinu, maximálně dvě denně. A taky by to vyžadovalo i postavit nějaké zajímavé podcastové studio ve virtuální realitě. Což se pravděpodobně někdy stane, ale nemůžu ti přesně říct, kdy to bude.Na prezentaci Meta Connect byla oznámena taky jedna zásadně důležitá spolupráce. Mark Zuckerberg totiž přesvědčil Satya Nadellu, šéfa Microsoftu, aby společně spolupracovali na vývoji meta-světa a aby Microsof investoval vlastní knowhow, peníze, lidi i infrastrukturu. Na čem se vlastně dohodli?O metaverse se Microsoft začal zajímat ještě před Facebookem. Paradoxně má k tomuto konceptu blíž než samotná Meta. Umí pro něj totiž najít praktické využití, když tedy necháme stranou hry. Pokud chceš zorganizovat byznys meeting ve virtuální realitě nebo potřebuješ vyřešit něco s týmem na základě osobní kolaborace, tak Microsoft má vybudovaný ekosystém aplikací, který tuhle spolupráci umí překlopit z počítačového 2D světa do virtuální reality. Ta spolupráce může fungovat, ale pořád je tu bariéra - potřebuješ nějaké hardwarové zařízení pro všechny účastníky těchto setkání.Když Satya Nadella nastupoval jako šéf Microsoftu, řekl že se firma má víc otevřít a spolupracovat s každým výrobcem hardwaru, ať už jde o Facebook/Meta nebo třeba Apple. Microsoft má mít svoje aplikace dostupné kdekoliv, kam jejich tvůrci investují nemalé peníze do vývoje a rozvoje virtuální reality. Mimochodem, do nástrojů, které Microsoft na Meta prezentaci tento týden představil, se přihlásíte skrz účty Microsoftu, takže i platba za jejich využívání půjde Microsoftu. Myslím si, že je to velmi výhodná spolupráce na obě strany.Poslechněte si celou epizodu Stopáže.
