(aidate: 2.24.26) Winona Ryder is headed back into the dark and twisty universe of Wednesday, reuniting with Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega for Season 3 — because apparently Nevermore needed more legendary cheekbones. Over at the Today Show, the crew turned a New York blizzard into a newsroom sleepover so you wouldn't miss your morning headlines. Commitment level: middle school lock-in, but with better lighting. And Lindsey Vonn? After a brutal Olympic crash and critics calling her "selfish" for competing, she's making it clear — she'd rather go down swinging than sit it out. Leg saved. Regrets? None. Honestly, if this is the energy today, you've got drama, loyalty, and gothic glamour before lunch. Voted 6th Best Entertainment News Podcast! Because being #1 is soooo overrated. In this quick Geek Freaks Headlines update, we break down the news that Winona Ryder has joined Wednesday Season 3 as filming begins near Dublin. The episode covers why Ryder feels like a perfect fit alongside Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton, what her reported character name Tabitha could mean for the Addams universe, and why the Season 3 focus on more Addams Family secrets sounds like the right move. We also touch on Eva Green joining as Aunt Ophelia, new teachers and students at Nevermore, and a rough production timeline for when fans might expect more updates.00:00 Winona Ryder joins Wednesday Season 3 and filming begins near Dublin00:07 Why Ryder is a natural fit with Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton00:14 Ryder's character name Tabitha and what it might mean for Addams lore00:21 Season 3 expanding the Addams Family with Aunt Ophelia and Eva Green00:28 New teachers, new students, and deeper Addams Family secrets00:36 Why Addams family history is the most exciting direction for the show00:41 Filming timeline guess and when more details may arriveWinona Ryder is officially joining Wednesday Season 3.Filming is already underway just outside Dublin.Ryder is reportedly playing a new character named Tabitha. The host points out Tabitha does not appear to be a known Addams Family character, which suggests a new addition to the show's world.Season 3 appears to be leaning further into Addams Family lore, not just school-based stories.Eva Green joining as Aunt Ophelia supports the idea of a bigger family-focused season.Netflix is also introducing new teachers, new students, and more family secrets. The biggest fan appeal here is the Burton and Ryder connection, plus Ryder's chemistry with Jenna Ortega from Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.More production details are likely coming soon now that filming has started.“It's one of those castings where you're like, isn't she already in the show?”“They are going to be expanding The Addams Family in the third season, which is exactly what I wanted.”“I want less school, more Addams Family.”“Filming is starting right now, so we should be getting some more details out of this very soon.”If you enjoyed this quick update, subscribe to Geek Freaks Headlines, leave a review, and share this episode with a friend using #GeekFreaksHeadlines.GeekFreaksPodcast.com (source of all news discussed during our podcast)Instagram: @geekfreakspodcastThreads: @geekfreakspodcastTwitter: @geekfreakspodFacebook: Geek Freaks PodcastPatreon: Geek Freaks PodcastWhat do you want most from Wednesday Season 3? The latest BARRACKS TALK podcast episode is waiting, press 'play' now! In this week's episode of BARRACKS TALK from DV Radio: The Vets kick-off the smoke session with a gut-punching piece of news, 3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold, the voice behind the badass National Guard anthem "Citizen/Soldier" and so many hits that we can't list them here, lost his fight to cancer at 47. After this, the DV Radio Crew kicks it into high-gear roasting Texas oil-field toys that sound like plinking laser guns (or maybe that's Nevermore's balls). Even JJ has a moment in therapy that left the entire VA and DV Radio Crew laughing, all because of a slender vegan that made him go, "OOOOHHH!" Episode 51: The Unfortunate Pirate For over a century, "Annabel Lee" has been read as Edgar Allan Poe's final love poem—a haunting elegy to his child bride Virginia, written months before his death. But what if we've been wrong about the poem's true subject all along? In this episode, Mike follows a trail of evidence from a forgotten 1827 tale about a murderous pirate to the windswept shores of Sullivan's Island, where Poe was stationed as a young soldier. Along the way, he uncovers a family accusation that pursued Poe his entire life, a poem he was forced to burn, and the testimony of a woman who nursed him through his darkest hours. What emerges is a radical reinterpretation of America's most famous poem of loss—and a story about what it means to defend someone you love when the whole world has turned against them. The grave of Annabel Lee has finally been found. It was never where anyone thought to look. Not everything is perfect in the Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift world as a charity watchdog has identified Kelce's 87 and Running as a fiscal hot mess. Get this, only 41% of the money the charity raises goes to actual programs. The rest, apparently, goes to Kelce's buddies that run the thing. Uh oh. Here's the good news, Kelce is exactly the kind of guy that would have no idea this is happening, but I'll bet his fiance cleans up his affairs quickly. KU had a comeback for the ages beating TCU at Allen Field House Tuesday night. This is exactly what Bill Self does, even when it feels like it was the other team that blew it. It's time to celebrate as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting dissolves after a vote of the board. This has been a taxpayer nightmare since 1967 and now PBS and NPR will have to stand on their own legs. Trump's getting 50 million barrels of oil from Venezuela and is ordering them to stop drilling until they meet ALL of his terms. And, he's eying a deal with Greenland now. He really is making America great, this is just incredible. Ravens coach John Harbaugh is sacked after 18 years but they fired the wrong guy. I'll prove it to you. Sporting KC has a new head coach, the A's can't get the trademark in Las Vegas and the media has a new story to try to take your eyes and ears off all the winning right now.

In this episode, we follow the Annabel Lee legend backward: from modern ghost tours to nineteenth-century poetry, from pirate treasure maps to academic footnotes, from Sullivan's Island beaches to a forgotten corner of a graveyard. What emerges is not a simple ghost story, but an obsession—shared by scholars, storytellers, and an entire city convinced that something precious was buried in the South Carolina Lowcountry and must be found. Hey hey BATT Family! The first major episode of Season Two is here! This was by far the biggest episode and most complex edit I've had to do yet. NEVERMORE: THE RAVEN EFFEFT - “Wrestling is such a brutal business, it doesn't surprise people that it attracts sociopaths, fame whores, coke whores and adrenaline whores, but why did it attract an artist?” asks Billy Corgan, frontman for the Smashing Pumpkins and wrestling promoter. Nevermore: The Raven Effect examines the pivotal shift in wrestling history, through the eyes of Raven/Scott Levy, a brilliant, inventive, complicated and controversial performer. To those in the know, the ECW was an extreme and hazardous wrestling circuit that featured bloody matches, often involved real weapons, and bonkers story angles. Raven was instrumental in setting the no-holds-barred tone of ECW and influencing the direction of wrestling culture in the process. Now approaching sixty, Nevermore is a look back at an era when an extreme personality thrived in an extreme environment - the only question is, how did he live to tell the tale? Learn more about your ad choices.
