Joel McHale talks about returning as Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat Legends: Legend of the Realms available now on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Combo Pack from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. University of Washington Alumnus, Joel McHale returns as Johnny Cage in the sequel, Mortal Kombat Legends: Legend of the Realms available now from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. We crack quite a few jokes about McHale loving to show off his abs while being, husky, his imitation of a certain has-been, out of work actor (it was bleeped because the wrong name was mentioned and we would like to protect the innocent), along with hosting two game shows, the classic Card Sharks and Crime Scene Kitchen. A brilliantly funny man, from a brilliant family, with good looks, charm and humor? What's not to hate or be jealous of? All kidding aside, McHale brings like to Johnny Cage in only the manner that he could and at times the audience forgets they are even watching an animated feature. Let's hope there will be a third installment as the Mortal Kombat Legends series has been riveting thus far. In this episode, Vince looks at the ill-fated attempts to release the third film in the original Mortal Kombat film franchise from the 1990s, followed by an in-depth look at the 2020 animated feature, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, an ultraviolent origin story to one of the game's most popular characters. This one features a man named Hanzo Hasashi, a ninja of a sort who vows revenge as an undead warrior on Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei, who wiped out Hanzo's people, the Shirai Ryu, including his young son. Hanzo rises from the eternally torturous underworld known as NetherRealm as Scorpion, resurrected with wraith-like demonic powers bestowed by the dark sorcerer Quan-Chi, in exchange for his loyalty, the theft of a mystical key that will free the Elder God known as Shinnok, and representation in the once-in-a-generation tournament run by the evil Shang Tsung.
The first 5 minutes of this movie pack quite the punch. Blood, guts, decapitations... this is Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge. This movie has a decent plot and very good action. It was nice to finally see some justice done to this franchise, movie-wise. It was a fun watch, recommend. movierewrite1@gmail.com find us on Facebook: movie rewrite podcast Music from https://freesound.org/ foolboymedia_rave digger type_writer

In order to boost their engagement, many film podcasts will schedule episodes relevant to the current discourse in the cinema landscape. Reel Deep Dive is hesitant to chase after trending topics, but Ryan just happened to record a discussion about this direct-to-DVD Mortal Kombat animated film. So, he's scheduling it a week before a new Mortal Kombat film is debuting in theaters and HBO Max. Maybe we'll get a few extra clicks out of it... Regardless, Ryan's had a bee in his bonnet about this movie ever since he stumbled across it. Cheryl has been dragged in to help him exorcise it from his mind through close reading, nostalgic reminiscence, and some light-hearted ribbing. Talking points for this one include the appeal of campy self-awareness, the lumpiness of Sonya Blade's quasi-feminist backstory, how the film improves Johnny Cage as a character, and how Scorpion served as a young Ryan's introduction to the concept of an antihero. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ryan-valentine3/support
TRHS review the 2020 animated movie backstory to Hanzo known as Scorpion. The MK reboot features a live action of this tragic story of a man lost everything and reborn as a deadly ninja seeking revenge on Sub Zero and his main role in the tournament. Hanzo/ Scorpion's life is a sad one and he did not give NO F's on the path of vengeance. Also why Mortal Kombat Annihilation was such a trash sequel-dismissive to the whole plot to the 1995 hit Mortal Kombat. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kc-lacy/message
