The conversation around the 2025 college football season has centered on a few players — mostly new starting quarterbacks — but there are plenty of potentially great players we're not talking about. Today, they're in the spotlight.(0:00-0:59) Intro(1:00-9:22) Players we're not talking about: Ryan Wingo, Cam Coleman(9:23-11:50) Story Time(11:51-17:23) Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed(17:24-24:36) How good can Oregon be this year?(24:37-31:38) Miami's Outlook, Rueben Bain Jr.(31:39-35:10) Jadan Baugh at Florida(35:11-36:18) Nic Anderson, LSU(36:19-39:42) Max Klare at Ohio State(39:43-40:55) Where does JP Pickles play?(40:56-44:03) Dylan Raiola at Nebraska(44:04-45:43) Who do we talk about the most?(45:44-46:11) Conclusion: Happy Memorial Day! Ari believes Auburn receiver Cam Coleman could be a breakout star. He also thinks Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain could be a force now that he's fully healthy. Andy thinks Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed has been lost in the shuffle with all the talk about new starting QBs in the SEC. Reed will be the leader of Team Chaos, so he could play a very important role this season. Andy and Ari agree that Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman is a huge key to the Ducks' portal reload. The guys open the show briefly talking a little bit about Grant's upcoming trip to Europe, before getting into more important topics like Ben Arbuckle being hired as OU's offensive coordinator. We give our initial thoughts and go over some positive numbers. We also compare some of Arbuckle's numbers to Lincoln Riley and Seth Littrell (2:40). Venables announced that he will retain the offensive staff. Will that actually hold into 2025 (29:30)? Jackson Arnold is going to enter the transfer portal. Will Wazzu's John Mateer come to OU (42:50)? OU's going to need a lot of help on offense in 2025. Nic Anderson is entering the transfer portal as well. OU's injuries plus running back talk (53:30). Where do you stand on Deion Burks (1:02:50)? OU held on to Michael Fasusi, but the 2025 recruiting class is the lowest ranked for the Sooners in more than a decade (1:06:00). We read some comments from the WoE Facebook page (1:12:45). Discussing the College Football Playoff rankings. Grant's okay with Alabama being in line to get in. Lee thinks Miami is being under ranked. Grant was way out ahead of one very obvious problem with the current playoff system and Lee apologizes for going over the odds on who will win the National Championship (1:23:30). We finish up with our picks for Conference Championship Weekend (1:36:40). | Like the show on Facebook: @westofeverest | Follow Grant on Twitter: @GrantBenson25 | Follow Lee on Twitter: @LeeBensonTweets
ESPN analyst Dusty Dvoracek joins to preview Championship Weekend and discussing Nic Anderson and Jackson Arnold entering the portal. Oklahoma head volleyball coach Aaron Mansfield previews the NCAA Tournament.

Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview and share their predictions for the Red River Rivalry game between Texas and Oklahoma in Week 7 of the 2024 college football season. Topics include: Texas has incredible offensive depth, starting with the quarterback room of a (presumably healthy) Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning. The Longhorns have so many players on offense including Gunnar Helm, Isaiah Bond, Ryan Wingo, Matthew Golden, Jaydon Blue and Jerrick Gibson. Oklahoma's defense has 18 sacks and has forced turnovers on an elite 3.8% of snaps. The Longhorns' offensive line, led by Kelvin Banks, will have to be up to the task of blocking Danny Stutsman and company while Texas will have to keep the ball out of safety Billy Bowman's hands. Oklahoma has been injury-riddled at offensive line and receiver. Can the Sooners get a little healthier following a bye week? The Sooners will also get Michael Hawkins an extra week of practicing with the first team; Hawkins started the season as a backup to Jackson Arnold. Oklahoma has guys who can make plays like Deion Burks and (if they can get him healthy) Nic Anderson. Texas has so many playmakers on defense; seven different players (Jahdae Barron, Ethan Burke, Andrew Mukuba, Wardell Mack, Jay'Vion Cole, Derek Williams and Anthony Hill) have interceptions and the Longhorns have plenty of other playmakers up front like Trey Moore and David Gbenda. Chris Lee is joined by Tony Basilio to preview the Tennessee vs. Oklahoma matchup in Week 4 of the 2024 college football season. Topics include: How good is Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava? Where are the areas where he needs to get better? Tennessee running back Dylan Sampson is developing into a superstar? Oklahoma has plenty of answers defensively with a good line and All-Americans Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman in the back seven, as well as a deep secondary. How will Tennessee's deep and talented defensive line, led by All-American James Pearce, attack Oklahoma's wounded offensive front? The Vols could have issues covering Deion Burks and Nic Anderson. How will Oklahoma's Jackson Arnold fare, and can OU protect him? Is there an X-factor from either team that could jump up and have a big game? What's really going through Josh Heupel's head as he visits the alma mater that once fired him?
In the opening take, Lee recaps what he saw in his rewatch of the OU-Temple game. Then Grant joins to give his thoughts on the rewatch (5:00). A listener brought up other recent poor OU offensive performances on the WoE Facebook page. Was the Temple performance really the worst we've seen in years (18:10)? Jake Taylor will be available this week. Will Branson Hickman play? Can Jaquaize Pettaway become a contributor now that Farooq is out? What about Nic Anderson's availability (26:15)? Let's talk about OU-Houston. It was stunning how bad the Cougars looked vs UNLV. Grant couldn't figure out what Houston's offense was trying to do. QB Donovan Smith was terrible, and the offensive line may be a swinging gate (33:40). Houston's defense played better on paper, but Lee thinks the secondary might be horrific. We'll see if this is a game where OU chooses to get Jackson Arnold going (47:30). Taking a look at the SEC slate this week, plus Week 1 thoughts. We were both dead wrong on Florida. USC played very well against LSU, plus more thoughts on Week 1 (59:40). We make our picks from Texas-Michigan/Arkansas-OSU/Iowa-Iowa St./Tennessee-NC State/Colorado-Nebraska (1:16:30). | Like the show on Facebook: @westofeverest | Follow Grant on Twitter: @GrantBenson25 | Follow Lee on Twitter: @LeeBensonTweets

Ep134 Is in the books! The Oklahoma Sooners are 16th in the coaches poll. How is Texas (AKA TEX) #4? The guyz break that down along with the wide receiver room and the offensive line. Who is your WR#1 for the year? Is it Nic Anderson? Deion Burks? Is Andrel Anthony going to come back and make a splash? Who is your sneaker pick as a WR to bring the heat? The rumor is that our offensive line is going to struggle, but after the Guyz break everyone down, we feel better about the group. In Bill B we trust.
Kirby Smart at SEC Media Days. Nic Anderson post-practice.
Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview Oklahoma's football roster for the 2024 season and share their predictions for Brent Venables and the Sooners. Topics include: Jaxson Arnold steps in at Qb for Dillion Gabriel who departed to Oregon. Loaded at skill positions with Gavin Sawchuk at running back and and led the team last year running the ball. Sam Franklin has transferred in at RB and could make an immediate impact. The Sooners are stacked at WR with Deion Burks transferring in from Purdue and will be most likely be the leader catching. Nic Anderson should be a big time pass catcher as well. Offensive line is strong this year with 5 transfers but they 114 total starts with none returning. On defense they have a great secondary with guys like Danny Strutsman, Billy Bowman, and Gentry Williams. On today's show, we catch up with Oklahoma Sooners WR Nic Anderson who is coming off of a breakout redshirt freshman season where he recorded 798 receiving yards and a freshman school record for touchdown catches with ten. We talk with Nic about how the Sooners spring practices went, and what he's seen from QB Jackson Arnold as he takes over as the next big QB in Norman. Anderson also talks about the addition of WR Deion Burks to the offense, as well as the new pieces to the offensive line. And we touch on the defense which looks to be loaded once again with guys like Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman returning, along with some big pieces on the defensive line. And we get Nic's thoughts on his head coach Brent Venables. We also touch on the Sooners coming to the SEC, we ask Nic how excited folks in Norman are to join the best conference in the country, and getting to visit places they haven't visited in a while like Auburn, Ole Miss, Mizzou and LSU. And we ask Nic what he does in his spare time when he's not playing football. No opening take as the guys begin their look back at OU's 38-24 Alamo Bowl loss to Arizona (01:25). Let's start from the very beginning with OU's defense coming out in a 3-3-5 and almost immediately giving up a big pass play. The pass defense is still very much a concern, but credit to OU for shutting down Arizona's running game (03:30). Jackson Arnold's start was very underwhelming. There was a little good, but mostly bad as he threw a couple of interceptions (15:15). OU's offense started moving it on its 4th series which ended with a Gavin Sawchuk TD run (27:45). Kani Walker's interception didn't lead to anything because unfortunately OU turned the ball over immediately after in what was the start of a rough night for Jalil Farooq (30:20). It was good to see Sawchuk get out and run for 63 yards. This was the drive that ended with Nic Anderson's excellent TD catch (34:20). OU seemed to be figuring it out on defense. R Mason Thomas had a nice sack. The offense got a chance to score before the end of the first half but failed (40:05). OU's offense started the 2nd half with a bang. We saw some small parts of Arnold's game that we liked (47:40). We talk a little about Tawee Walker transferring to Wisconsin (51:20). Drake Stoops picked up a bunch of yards on 3rd down to extend OU's drive before the Sooners started to show signs of faltering in the red zone (53:40). This is the drive that changed everything. It started rough with Sawchuk tweaking his hamstring, and it ended with a flukey Arizona defensive TD. Arnold and the offense struggled the rest of the way, turning it over two more times, and that was the ballgame (1:00:50). Final stats, overall thoughts on the game and what it means (1:19:45). We read some of your "3 Word Reviews" (1:24:40). Lee gives his overall takeaways from Jackson Arnold's game, before Grant looks ahead to the offseason and would prefer not to drive away Farooq (1:31:30). | Like the show on Facebook: @westofeverest | Follow Grant on Twitter: @GrantBenson25 | Follow Lee on Twitter: @LeeBensonTweets

The guys convene a day after OU squeaked out a 31-29 win over UCF. While Lee took in the game in Norman, Grant's gameday experience was awful in Minnesota. The guys choose to take a "glass half full" approach to what could have been a crushing loss. Credit to the Sooners' defense for playing well most of the time -- especially at the beginning. Medsider Radio: Learn from Medical Device and Medtech Thought Leaders
In this episode of Medsider Radio, we caught up with health economist, Nic Anderson, who spent seven years at Intermountain Healthcare on the payer side. He learned first-hand what evidence insurers need to convince them to cover a new medical device or healthcare technology. He's also served on payer advisory boards, and was an expert in residence at a digital health accelerator in Dubai. He now works as a health economist for Boston Scientific. In this conversation, Nic explains why medtech companies, in particular, need to win over insurance payers, how investing early in a health economics and market access (HEMA) team will help you do that, and how to write a dossier a payer won't want to throw out the window. Before we jump into the conversation, I wanted to mention a few things:If you're into learning from proven medtech and healthtech leaders, and want to know when new content and interviews go live, head over to Medsider.com and sign up for our free newsletter.
