Hour 2 - The Yankees will make a big trade at the deadline, but the reports will drive up prices. Keith says the pressure is turned up on Brian Cashman. Aaron Boone deserves more credit than he's getting. A fan left Yankee Stadium when the team was down 5-0.

Hour 4 - Callers talked about the Yankees. One caller hasn't seen his wife in 4 months. Two guys both named John and both calling from the Lower East Side called up back to back. Overall most callers wanted to know how the Yankees can improve at the trade deadline. Keith reiterates that Volpe is NOT a detriment to the Yankees.

Hour 2 - Mets win, Yankees win, NY sports are happy but theirs still so much that needs to be done to completely turn this around for both teams.

The Supreme Court confirmed the constitutionality of the Universal Service Fund in a decision announced on Friday.  Bloomfield says NTCA applauds the decision as access to those funds is critical for expanding and maintaining broadband service to millions in rural America. Bloomfield says regulatory headwinds from the Trump administration are challenging previously approved work under the Biden administration. She applauds her members for providing broadband service to the nation but says there is still much work to be done.

Udell Chavez, an educator from Santa Fe, stepped up to the plate. And we are grateful that he did. His CLR journey is unique and most relevant to today's sociopolitical times, as you will hear. Udell speaks from the heart but also from an experience that too many of our students are now facing. We can learn from Mr. Chavez in many ways. Dr. Hollie's two cents chimes in as well, not wanting to ignore the elephant in the room - the current treatment of immigrant students and their families. This week's Open Mic guest is Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America. The most recent food insecurity numbers from the USDA suggest more people are food insecure today than during the Covid Pandemic. Babineaux-Fontenot says food donations and financial contributions are trending lower while more people are seeking assistance. Babineau-Fontenot strongly disagrees with GOP plans to change Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funding, saying the cuts could create a 9.5 billion meal shortfall in the nation.
