Updated: 10:24 a.m., Nov. 20 | Posted: 4 a.m., Nov. 19 With the election over, but still reverberating, Minneapolis theater maker Nora Montañez recommends rediscovering common ground by watching “The Empathy Project” from Full Circle Theater this weekend. The virtual staged reading of the new play by Stephanie Lein Walseth is based on interviews with 20 Minnesotans across the state. “I feel that the title is so timely right now, particularly because I believe empathy grows out of stories,” said Montañez, who is the founder and coordinator of the Alliance of Latinex Minnesota Artists, or ALMA. Appropriate for a show about bringing people together, “The Empathy Project” was in partnership with several organizations statewide: The Yes! House in Granite Falls, the Department of Public Transformation, and Dreamland Arts in St. Paul. It’s directed by Rick Shiomi. The free event — watchable from home — requires registration. The show is in two acts: Act I streams Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.; Act II streams Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Anniessa Antar, activation specialist at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, gave a shoutout to All My Relations Arts, a creator of Native American fine art exhibits in Minneapolis. Antar calls the gallery a “cornerstone in Native art, both regionally and nationally.” The current exhibit, “Bring Her Home: Sacred Womxn of Resistance” is a collection of paintings, video and other art by Indigenous women, two spirit and trans women and gender nonconforming artists sharing narratives around missing and murdered Indigenous people. Antar says the exhibit is “rooted in empowering the community to be able to address this [issue], to grieve, to mourn, but also to celebrate the resistance” of Indigenous people. All My Relations Arts has temporarily closed in order to comply with Minnesota's updated COVID-19 guidelines. The exhibition will be available online through Jan. 2. Note: Music for the audio segment linked above came from “RUINS: Movement 3” by Leah K Lemm, a Grand Rapids-based singer/songwriter and a member of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. St. Paul comedian Adam Mellerup recently attended a Facebook Live event that he says made excellent use of the medium: Strike Theater’s first One Minute Film Festival. The festival featured 23 one-minute films that included animation, dancing and storytelling. Comedy was the most common style, says Mellerup, and that’s understandable given the judging categories from a panel of live judges: best use of the color red, best use of peanut butter and best use of the word “collide.” “It was a nice place for people to release some creative energy and to show a little piece of what they’ve been doing, or what they like to do,” said Mellerup. The current film festival is available for viewing on Strike Theater’s Facebook page. Front of House manager Brian Scot says Strike Theater plans on hosting another festival next fall.

Mark Levin, Kayleigh McEnany- Democrat Cheating Past and Present. Trumps Pathway to Victory.  Listen free to all of Mark Levin’s shows at-https://www.marklevinshow.com/audio-rewind/ Posted on November 9, 2020On Monday’s Mark Levin Show, Not a single state has certified any electoral vote yet. President Trump has every right to call for a recounting of votes, but the media is doing everything to prevent him from doing so. The Democrats want earlier and earlier voting along with later and later counting. Not only does the President have every right to do what he’s doing, but he has an obligation to do it. Then, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany joins the program to discuss the willingness of the Democrat party to cheat the election. It’s common sense that their opposition to the recalling of votes means they have everything to hide. This is about the future of elections in this country, and if we don’t fight back we are submitting to the leftist takeover. The Trump campaign is fighting back. The Democrats want to turn the entire country into California. What this party did is corrupt and the leftist media refuses to report on it. Next, Pfizer’s Coronavirus vaccine is reportedly 90% effective. The only reason we have a vaccine ready so quickly is because of Trump and his Operation Warp Speed. Nonetheless, Joe Biden is trying to slap his name on it and take all the credit. Finally, Sean Parnell calls in to discuss his House run for Pennsylvania’s 17th congressional district.

It's 2011. Imagine being halfway across the world in Africa, doing missionary work, and your daughter gets sick. You are far from modern medicine, and you're told your six-year-old has either mono or leukemia. Then, it turns out she has BOTH.Next thing Matt DeYoung knew, he, his wife, and all four kids were back in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as Lola battled Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. While difficult, the initial treatments went well for Lola. Then, in 2013, she was back in treatment after a CNS relapse. In 2015, after yet another relapse, the DeYoungs began to look at the idea of a bone marrow transplant. Without a suitable donor, it took a mismatched cord blood sample to save her life.In today's episode, Matt speaks about his role as the primary caregiver for Lola.  He moved into her hospital room when his job allowed him to work remotely. He was there for the better part of four years, taking detailed notes and making sure he knew every detail of Lola's treatment. Matt found comfort in writing. And he wasn't alone. He also needed to lean on his wife and other children to contribute and sacrifice. And Matt shares the toll this tool on the whole family and the  importance of therapy for all. Matt says you need to stay positive in the caregiver role, even if that means only focusing on 15 minutes or 24 hours at a time.  He also talks about the power of his strong faith, and getting peace from the belief that God was powerful enough to bring complete healing if that was His desire. Whenever you get into a situation where you can't control your outcome, you can either choose faith or despair.Today, Lola is a healthy, happy teenager who has a very special bond with her dad. Her Facebook page, seen here, tells more of their family's incredible journey. This week on Episode 480 of Priority One --- We ‘Trek Out’ UberEats newest ad campaign - trust us, it belongs here - Jonathan Frakes spoilers, Discovery’s second go at a first impression, and what H. Jon Benjamin thinks of tribbles! In Star Trek gaming, Star Trek Online teams with Gameheads - providing actionable support for people of color, and Modiphius releases a helpful “Star Trek Adventures” Dev blog tutorial! Of course, as always, before we wrap up the show, we’ll open hailing frequencies for your incoming messages Let us know on social media like Facebook, Twitter, or by visiting our website! This Weeks Community Question Is: CQ: Are YOU concerned about “The Vulcan Hello”s low viewership numbers? TREK IT OUT by Jake Morgan The Captain and the Master Talk Tomato This week, SIR Patrick Stewart and Star Wars’ Luke Skywalker - Mark Hamill - sat down with Charles Thorp of Men’s Health to discuss their new advertisement campaign for the food delivery service - “Uber Eats”. In the three ad series, Captain Picard portrayer Sir Patrick faces off against Luke Skywalker Stager Mark Hamill in Connect Four, Air Hockey, and some - well - let’s call them deep-rooted family issues. Besides talking about the similarities and differences between the two franchises, the pair recalled their time on-set. Sir Patrick discussed his first day of shooting, saying ”I was doing my first scene where I appeared on camera as Jean-Luc Picard. I was walking down one of the Enterprise corridors, and one of the sliding automated doors opened on my left and there was Commander Riker played by Jonathan Frakes. The script had him saying something to me, and I was just supposed to nod and then walk away. The director called, “Cut!” Then Jonathan yelled out, “That’s what they call British face-acting!” The whole crew laughed, and I remember gratefully thinking that I was going to be spending all of this time with funny people. This is going to be alright.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jtkuAVLdtA But Wait, There's More! Stewart had some interesting comments regarding his unknowing inspiration for Captain Picard, telling Men’s Journal in part ”I trained and worked out for years before I ever got in front of the camera playing Picard. My father was a military man, and he ended his military career at the end of the second World War in 1945, as a regimental sergeant major of The Parachute Regiment. For every gentleman from the outside looking in, he was a superstar. It took me decades to come to the realization of how much he influenced me not only as a man but also as an actor, especially when taking up Picard.[...] through him I had an incredible role model for the character, even if I wasn’t consciously pursuing it.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkzLXZtu_Xw Finally, if you ever feel guilty about loving Star Wars or fantasizing about a crossover - DON’T! You’re in good company, according to Sir Patrick ”I will admit that, at least for us on Star Trek, we have fantasied about a combined universe between Star Wars and Trek movie. There have been a lot of ideas thrown about on putting together two iconic universes, and having all of these great characters coming into contact. I would personally get such a kick out of that.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2cSBtSdcE0 The article has a ton of interesting tidbits - and the ads are fun - so we encourage you to head to our website and trek out all of it! Jonathan Frakes Talks Disco Season 3 Sir Patrick’s “The Next Generation” co-star - and prolific television director - Jonathan Frakes Rikered a chair to talk with friends of the network, Trekmovie.com. Hot off his Galaxycon Event, Frakes chatted with Anthony Pascale about the characters, events, and shooting of Star Trek: Discovery, season three - and in true Frakes fashion, probably told us more than he should have. When asked to confirm his directing of three episodes this season, Frakes gave away some plot beats, saying ”Yes, I did. I actually just rewatched 303 a couple of days ago. Season three is really wonderful on Discovery, by the way. So the first episode is Michael Burnham alone in Iceland [for location shoot], which is a foreign land. And she meets “Book” [David Ajala]. The second episode is the entire crew on Discovery. And the third episode, which is the one I was fortunate enough to get, is their reunion. And it is very heavy on the emo.” Later in the interview, Frakes discussed Trek’s newest stars. He showered praise on Book actor David Ajala before moving on to the newly announced Blu del Barrio (Adira)). ”Blu is so well cast that as the character reveals themself, I think they’ll be a new favorite. Much like Tilly—do you remember how offbeat and non-Star Trek Tilly felt in the beginning? Blu brings a different dynamic and a different color totally, but a brand new color to the palette of the group. Much in the way Tig [Notaro] did.” Star Trek: Discovery’s Pilot Doesn’t Soar on CBS In episode 476 of Priority One - released on September 4th - we told you about Star Trek: Discovery’s re-airing of its pilot - “The Vulcan Hello”. Want to know how that went? Are you sure? “The Vulcan Hello”, which originally aired on September 24, 2017, was repeated for terrestrial television audiences exactly three years later - September 24, 2020. Back in 2017, the series premiere - which aired at 8:30pm EST - pulled in a solid 9.5 million same-day-viewers, according to USA Today. Three years later, Variety reported  that viewership had dropped to a disappointing 1.7 million viewers, losing out to ABC’s season 5 premiere of “The Match Game” (2.9 million viewers). So what does that mean? Well, right now, it only means that “The Vulcan Hello” had 1.7 million viewers.  The three year old episode was, as mentioned previously, a repeat - even to Network television viewers. There’s no need to panic. Right? H. Jon Benjamin Talks Tribbles One of Star Trek’s most divisive episodes seems to be the Season 2 episode of “Short Treks” titled “The Trouble With Edward”. From the IMDB summary “Newly minted Captain Lynne Lucero is excited to take command of the U.S.S. Cabot. That is, until she meets Edward Larkin, an ornery scientist who believes he has found a revolutionary new use for tribbles.” You remember Larkin, right? The guy who wanted to breed Tribbles for food. That Edward Larkin. This week, Edward Larkin himself - H. Jon Benjamin - did absolutely nothing to ingratiate himself with the episode detractors. Benjamin sat down with telegram.com to talk about Bob’s Burgers, Archer, and “The Trouble With Edward”. Benjamin admitted to report Craig S. Semon ”I never thought I would make it in the ‘Star Trek’ universe but I did.  I was a ‘Star Trek’ fan when I was a kid. It was really cool. I was thrilled to be asked.” On playing the - unique - character, Benjamin said ”It wasn’t particularly hard to play that guy, because he was oblivious. I’m not sure he knew how despicable he was. So that was the fun of it. From what I gathered, there are some ‘Star Trek’ fans that took issue with that the way tribbles were discovered. People get very deep into everything working perfectly or logically based on the ‘Star Trek’ universe. Maybe that was a problem, but that’s not my problem.” Finally, Benjamin addressed the fact that he may have been the first person to eat a Tribble, saying ”That’s true. But you never know. You never know if Scotty drunk ate one.” Star Trek Gaming News by Shane Hoover and Thomas Reynolds Cryptic Studios Announces Collaboration with Gameheads This week, it was announced that Cryptic Studios - the game development studio that designs Neverwinter, Champions Online, the upcoming Magic: Legends, and -- of course -- Star Trek Online --- has teamed up with a local organization called Gameheads. What’s important about this particular nonprofit organization, is that it welcomes low-income youth and youth of color between the ages of 15 to 24 in the Bay Area into a program that trains them in video game design, development, and DevOps.  Together, these young adults will work with experienced game developers at Cryptic to  “provide discipline-specific discussions, panels, and presentations and mentor students in their desired fields, such as Environment Art, Level Design, or Narrative Design.” Additionally, Cryptic has made a financial donation to Gameheads as well as the NAACP Personally, I believe this is an excellent partnership. You see, there is substantial evidence that points to a systemically racial barrier that makes it incredibly difficult for low-income youth of color to move up and out of poverty. Additionally, there’s evidence establishing inherent racism in technology… and no, I’m not saying your toaster burns your toast cuz you’re Carribean. But, what I am saying is that current algorithms -- those that drive facial recognition technology for example -- have time and again misidentified individuals of color. You see, to the ghost in the machine, anyone who’s not white pretty much looks the same…. But, the thing is… that ghost is programmed by an industry led -- predominantly - by white people. So, helping students break into the tech industry is one positive way of ensuring that the tech industry remains inclusive and equitable… for the consumer and for developers.. A New Event! A New Event Prize Concept! By Shane Hoover In a blog posted Tuesday September 29th, Ambassador Kael announced an upcoming event to accompany the next Year of Klingon content release. This “Widening Gyre” event runs from October 6th through November 5th on PC. No details are provided yet about the Event itself, but the Grand Prize is breaking new ground for STO events. By completing 20 daily progress cycles in the Widening Gyre, Captains can obtain an entire 4 piece space equipment set, the Imperial Rift Space Set. So far details are scant on the set pieces, but the descriptions provided in the blog point toward a Science-based set that is trying to synergize control abilities with energy weapons. It’s too soon to give you a verdict on how we think it’ll perform, but stay tuned, Captains. Once the stats are released, you can bet we’ll be sharing our evaluations on the next show! It is said that reputation is everything. Ah, the daily grind. It’s just part of the MMO experience, right? You run the same missions over and over to gain a reward that takes days, months or years to complete. However, if you’re tired of grinding marks for another reputation system in STO, then you will be pleased with the latest news. You can now skip the grind. Well, you can skip some of the grind. Well, you can now skip some of the grind in one section of one part of the systems available to grind in STO.  Now available for purchase -  a Tier V Reputation buyout from the Zen store.  Starting at 3,000 Zen, you can pass go and proceed immediately to Tier V for a single reputation on a single character. Although, the price is reduced proportionately, depending on how much progress in that reputation you’ve already made. For example, if you’ve made it to Tier 3 and just are not able or willing to continue earning those marks and running the daily project, then the price of 3,000 zen is reduced proportionately. Keep in mind, if you thought you were getting around the grind - ha - nope. You will still have to spend at least 60 days getting to Tier 6. But, this is manageable with the Tier V mark reward amount, since you get at least 600 marks when you achieve Tier V - but you still have to run those daily projects What does this mean for you, the player - what type of player are you? New: Players new to the game should avoid this purchase as the process of leveling the reputation is something you will need to do anyway, unless you plan on buying it for all reputations, and even then, because this only goes up to tier 5 which isn’t even half the progress to tier 6.  Casual: Casual players may feel like this is a decent deal, skipping what seems like a significant in-game time sink. But if you consider yourself a casual player, 3000 Zen is probably not a small investment for you, and that can get you things you’ll use to play the game. Like an account-wide T6 ship, for instance. And if you’re paying to avoid playing the game, then...is this really the hobby for you? Experienced: Experienced players will have a better understanding of exactly what they are getting out of the purchase and be better placed to evaluate if it’s worth the price to skip ahead a little. But in general? No. No player should purchase this.  Elite: Honestly, this seems like it’d be heresy to an elite player. Who already has all their reps finished anyway. Rainbow Tribbles, Because We’re Better Together By Thomas Reynolds Well, captains, the 2020 Summer Event has come and gone like a beautiful Risian sunset. You know, back when Risa had sunsets. And while we’ve all enjoyed our fast ships and fabulous costumes, there’s one event item that’s snuck in under the tachyon grid and into our hearts. The Rainbow Tribble grants you a 2.5% critical chance in ground combat when you pet it. That in itself is pretty good--but it stacks with each active Rainbow Tribble on your team. Hand one out to everyone on your away team, and you’ll be looking at a 12.5% crit chance buff to every team member. Rainbow Tribbles go for 50 Lohlunat Favors from the event store, or 1 million EC on the exchange at the time of writing--a pittance for this kind of power. OTHER GAMING NEWS Star Trek Adventures: The Blog of Dev So you backed the Humble Bundle. You have hundreds of dollars’ worth of prime Star Trek roleplaying material at your fingertips. Great. Now what? Well don’t worry, Modiphius has you covered. Posted on September 23rd, the first post of 2d20 developer Nathan Dowdell’s blog series will walk you through the basic concepts of Star Trek Adventures character creation. Much of it will look familiar to anyone who’s played RPGs in the past (you say “proficiencies,” I say “disciplines”). But it’s definitely encouraged reading, whether this is your first time on the Final Frontier or you’re back for more glorious battles.

#223: Q&A: How do I deal with webinar gremlins and mindset blocks? - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Shownotes can be found at tashcorbin.com/223  We have another Q&A episode of the podcast today, and I've got a brilliant question from Mel about facing up to the mindset blocks and gremlins that might rear their head when you are creating and promoting a webinar. This will be strongly focused on your webinar mindset and is going to be a really helpful one. Before we jump into Mel's brilliant question today, a quick reminder that if you'd like me to answer your question on the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, and give you a lovely little shout out as well, you can submit your question HERE. Today's question comes from the amazing Mel Gorry who you can find on Instagram at @melissa.gorry. Melissa asked a great question about running a webinar, and I love this because I love Mel so much. If you don't follow her, please make sure you go and check her out. She is a business and marketing specialist who specifically works with women who have chronic conditions or other reasons why they have limited energy and therefore need to build their marketing and business strategies in a way that works with that limited energy. Mel is absolutely brilliant at what she does, and I absolutely adore her so I'm super happy to be answering her question today. Mel's question is: "When launching and releasing my first webinar, sooo many mindset gremlins reared their head. I was so unprepared and didn't know how to combat it! Why does this happen? What are the best strategies to combat and build resilience to those mindset blocks? And Tash, what came up for you in your first webinar?" Great questions and I'm really excited to talk about this one today! When it comes to creating and launching a webinar, it's such a great strategy for your business. It's a great way to get in front of a lot of people at once, to talk about your services, and to help people move from where they are to where they want to be. It also does great things for growing your list, building your audience, and creating momentum on social media. There are so many reasons to love webinars, and if you haven't watched my podcast episode previously that is about why I love webinars so much, then go check that out because I am a big webinars fan. Think about the fact that when you start a business, it is one of the most powerful personal development journeys you can go on. When you think about why it's such a strong personal development journey, it's because it brings up all your stuff. YOU are the boss now, YOU have to do the work, YOU need to be self-motivated. If there's a self-sabotage or procrastination bone in your body, you're going to find it when you start a business. You need to ask for money, you need to be seen and visible, talk yourself up, and talk about your services. Knowing that starting and growing a business is the ultimate personal development journey and brings up all that mindset stuff for us to be able to pay attention to it and clear it, then when we think about a webinar, it's the one part of running a business and marketing strategy, where every single one of those things come into play. This happens because: You're saying that you want to teach someone something, meaning that you are positioning yourself as an expert, which brings up all the imposter syndrome things. You need to get out there, promote it, do all the marketing, set yourself up and put your slides together. It allows you to leave things to the last minute so if that's one of your particular mindset blocks, that will come up. You can also be self-sabotaging or procrastinating. All of the pressure and stuff about having made a commitment and needing to get it done can come up as well. You're going to be more visible. You are standing in front of a bunch of people (virtually), and first of all, saying that they should come to your webinar. Then when they're at the webinar you're saying that you've got something to say. You're at maximum visibility when you're launching and delivering a webinar. At the end of it, you're usually asking for the sale for something... so you're asking about money, and it brings up all your money blocks. It's no surprise that a webinar is something that can bring up a lot of those mindset blocks for us. But at the same time, that's what we want. We want to be paying attention to those things so that we can clear them and move through them. This allows us to expand, receive more, work more effectively in our business, get more done and whatever else it is that we need to do. Whilst it may be annoying that it brings up all of your mindset blocks, you really need to celebrate that it brings them up because that's exactly what we want to do. We want to take action. Notice what those thoughts are, notice what those gremlins are, and then use the tools and strategies that we have in our toolkit to uncover, clear and release them. It's actually a really beautiful opportunity to grow your mindset and undertake a leap in that personal development journey that comes with starting and growing a business. The second part of your question that I'm going to answer is what came up for me when I ran my first webinar. I ran my first webinar in 2013 when I was a couple of months into my business journey. The webinar was called 12 Steps to Creative Success and it was a webinar on how to grow a creative business, whether you are an artist or a crafter or any kind of maker. That was my niche when I first started my business (well, my second niche). I only had 13 people sign up for that webinar, despite the fact that I thought I had spewed up content about it onto the internet for two weeks solid. I felt like everyone in my entire world must have known I was running this webinar and must have been sick of hearing me talk about it. When I finished the webinar, due to the fact that I had only had 13 people sign up, I did a little review of my marketing and how I'd shared it. Here's what I had done: I'd emailed my eight-person mailing list once Posted about it on my own Facebook page zero times Posted about it in two Facebook groups that I was in once in each group I had shared the information about my webinar three times, and I thought I had told everyone about it and I was all over the internet. It was really interesting that I thought I had done all the right things but in essence, I had been very quiet about this webinar and expected people to sign up for it the first time they ever saw it. The only way that I was talking about it was just by copying and pasting the promo copy that I was going to be using. I sent the same promo to my list, as well as putting it in those two Facebook groups. Really it's a miracle that those 13 people signed up, to be honest with you. Only one of those 13 people showed up live because I didn't send out any reminder emails. It was only when they first signed up for the webinar that I shared the link of how they could join and watch it. There were no reminders sent to anyone, so only one person showed up. I talked to that one person like she was 100 people and it was hilarious. It brought up a lot of the "Who am I" stuff because I hadn't had a successful artistic or creative business at that point in time. I had a lot of imposter syndrome stuff coming up, feeling like I knew how to do the business part but I wasn't someone who'd already done this before. I felt like I was still growing my business but I knew what worked on social media and what sorts of things I could encourage people to do. At this point, I had already been working with two clients in creative businesses, but I still felt lots of stuff coming up of, 'Who am I to say I can help people with this? Who am I? There's no way that I am the right person to be teaching people this', and I got really freaked out before I ran that webinar. BUT my desire to share the 12 step process I had developed and been working on with my VIP clients, outweighed my fear. I'm really grateful that it did because it meant that even though I was really worried about it, had the imposter syndrome and I only had 13 people sign up, I knew that even if just one person heard this 12 step process and it made their business growth journey easier, then my job was done and I would have been of service. That was a really interesting thing to reflect back on so I did a lot of journaling and self-reflection on: That webinar The promo process The delivery process How I could improve it The follow-up process It was such an amazing growth time for me in my business. I really do encourage you to tune into that desire to serve and that desire to tell people what to do and help them. Tap into your desire to really show up and make a difference in even just one person's life because that will help with a lot of the webinar mindset wobbles that can come up when you are creating and launching a webinar. All of that being said, here are my top four tips on what to do about the mindset stuff when you are creating and launching a webinar. 1. Tap into the service mindset Whenever you are freaking out about something that you are going to do, you are focusing on yourself instead of focusing on your audience. Whenever you notice that, shift it. Think to yourself: Okay, clearly I'm talking about myself and worrying about myself right now. But what about the people who are waiting for this information? What about the people who are sitting there thinking that no one understands them and that no one is going to be able to help them? I want you to think about them. Specifically for you, Mel, think about all those beautiful women who think they can't be successful in business because they're not well. The women who think that they can't be successful and do all the things that they need to do because of a physical limitation with their energy. That makes me really teary thinking about it and about all those women we are depriving of the amazing Mel Gorry because you're a bit worried about your mindset wobbles. You've got your imposter syndrome happening or whatever is happening for you. When you focus on them instead, it really does make a huge difference in how you feel and the energy that you bring to that webinar. I talk about this a lot, but when I first started my business, I had a post-it note on my desk that said, "Do it for her". Those four words really drove a lot of what I did in the first six months of my business because it wasn't about me. It's very easy to make it all about yourself when starting a business, but at the end of the day, it's about who you're here to serve. "Do it for her" was what it took to get me into that service mindset whenever I was feeling wobbly. 2. Take the pressure down This is a practise. When I first ran my webinar, it was just the one person. Your audience will never be as small as it is today. The number of people who sign up for your webinars will never be as low as it is today. Take the pressure down. You don't need to be perfect. Just see this as practise. Even if you completely mess it up and the 25 people who signed up to webinar think that you don't know what you're talking about, that's only 25 people out of billions who are out there in the world that you can serve. Nine times out of ten when you do mess it up, people don't think that you're terrible and that they'll never work with you again, it actually makes people realise that you're human, and it can be more engaging than if you get it perfect. Take the pressure off yourself to get it perfect. Embrace that feeling of it being a practise, and allow yourself to experiment and learn to get better at it. 3. Trust that it gets easier I remember in my first YouTube videos, I was so breathy and weird on camera. Whenever we get a big influx of Take Off students, I reshare one of my very early YouTube videos with them because I know how much it makes them feel better about what they're doing. I was terrible. I was sitting on my balcony and the wind kept blowing my hair up, you can hardly hear me, there's a truck that goes behind me, and I thought I was doing this amazing, super casual type thing on my video, and it was terrible. So just know that it gets easier, and you get better at speaking to your audience. With practise you'll get better at facilitating that webinar, moving people through the process, dealing with the chatbox, the screen, the slides and all of the things that are going on at once. You will forget to record your webinar at some point along the way as well (it's usually a bit of a rite of passage), but it will get easier. I think that's such a beautiful thing to remember. It takes practise. It'll get easier. The way that it gets easier is by doing it more consistently. That's how you'll get better at it. 4. Use your mindset tools See this as an opportunity to uncover what those gremlins are, and then use the mindset tools in your toolkit to work through them. If there's something showing up when you're in webinar mode, even if it's not showing up in other spaces in your business, it will be impacting your decision making in your business. It will be impacting your mindset in your business. Bringing it to the surface is actually a good thing. It will allow you to use those tools in your toolkit to work through that mindset block or whatever it is that's coming up for you. Some mindset tools could be: Tapping Visualisation Working with a practitioner Journaling Kinesiology If you found a mindset practise that really helps you - especially one where you're paying attention to those blocks, what's coming up and having strategies to clear them - that's going to be really helpful. You can use this webinar as an opportunity to go even deeper with your mindset practise. A big thank you to the amazing Mel for her brilliant question about webinars, especially in relation to mindset blocks and the gremlins that come up. In 1868, Charles Dickens dispatches his youngest child to Australia. Like his brother Alfred before him, sixteen-year-old Edward is expected to learn to apply himself in what his father considers to be the new land of opportunity. Posted to a remote sheep station in New South Wales, Edward discovers that Charles Dickens' fame has reached even there, as has the gossip about his father's scandalous liaison with an actress. Amid colonists, ex-convicts, local tribespeople and a handful of eligible young women, Edward strives to be his own man - and keep secret the fact that he's read none of his father's novels. Conjuring up a life of sheep-droving, horse-racing and cricket tournaments in a community riven with tensions and prejudice, the story of Edward's adventures also affords an intimate portrait of Dickens' himself. This vivacious novel is classic Keneally: historical figures and events re-imagined with verve, humour and compassion.

4 Social Distancing Signs and Floor Markings On today's Podcast, we'll be covering 4 Social Distancing Signs and Floor Markings - so stay tuned. Welcome to Warehouse Safety Tips! You can find the show notes to each episode, links to the information mentioned on the podcast, the social media platforms we're on, and anything else related to the podcast at WarehouseSafetyTips.com (https://www.warehousesafetytips.com/) . If you're a seasoned Podcast Listener - this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to.  It's based around exactly what the name implies - Warehouse Safety Tips.  And since the people in that industry are busy - we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible. And now that all that is out of the way - let's get to the Podcast! On our last Podcast - we spoke about Social Distancing Preparation Tips.  On that Podcast - one of the tips was Social Distancing Signs and Floor Markings.  So this week we're going to cover 4 items within that category you can use to implement Social Distancing. First in our list are signs.   There are so many Social Distancing Signs out there to choose from - and if you don't find what you need, you can even have custom ones made.  They range from the health side of things (Instructing you to do things such as washing your hands) - to staying 6ft apart at all times.  And even though you usually think of signs as being upright (Posted on a wall) - many times these signs are adhered to the floor. Second in our list are segments.  You may not be aware of the name - but you probably have seen one (Most likely a bunch of 'em).  Essentially - a segment is a piece of pre-cut floor tape.  Instead of a sign or the other floor markings we'll be covering - these segments provide designated spacing.  Although it doesn't have anything to do with Social Distancing - think of the line you'd stand behind while throwing darts.   Before moving on - here's a word from one of our sponsors. If you've ever been to or worked in a warehouse - you know just how important safety is to both management and staff.  It's almost impossible to go 10 steps without seeing Safety Tape, Angles, Signs, and/or products.   It's these items that show us how to be safe and avoid danger in the workplace.  And if you're looking for the best products to make this happen - look no further than Mighty Line!   Mighty Line Floor Signs / Floor Markings offer the best industrial products out there! Go to MightyLineTape.com/SafetyTips (https://mightylinetape.com/safetytips) to request a Sample Pack of their incredible Safety Signs and Floor Markings. What makes Mighty Line the superior choice in keeping your facility safe and productive?  Mighty Line Tape is the strongest floor tape on the market and has a beveled edge that increases durability for industrial brush scrubbers, forklifts, and heavy industrial wheel traffic.  Easy installation and removal thanks to Mighty Line's peel and stick backing.  You can apply and reapply it during installation - and it leaves no sticky residue should you need to remove it.  This allows the ability to change workflow areas quickly and easily - and not have the downtime associated with painting or using floor markings that leave behind a mess when you remove them. Mighty Line Tape is 7 times thicker than the average Safety Floor Tape. Mighty Line's Signs and Marking come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes.  And if they don't have what you're looking for in stock - their Customize It Program allows you to create exactly what you're looking for.  Mighty Line offers a Limited 3-Year Warranty on their Floor Signs and Markings. And last but certainly not least - Mighty Line Products are Patented and PROUDLY Made in the USA! We're proud to have Mighty Line as THE Official Floor Sign / Floor Marking Company for the Warehouse Safety Tips Podcast and Site.  Again - Go to MightyLineTape.com/SafetyTips (https://mightylinetape.com/safetytips) to request a Sample Pack of their incredible Safety Signs and Floor Markings. Now back to the Podcast... Third in our list are footprints. If you've been to the grocery store as of late - you've probably seen that some of them have aisles with one way directions now.   Footprints would be perfect for that.  And again, even though it doesn't have anything to do with Social Distancing - you may have seen footprints used when taking tours (Showing what path you should follow).  In addition to showing direction - they're also great for showing where to stand in a line - to ensure you're Socially Distanced correctly. Lastly - our fourth Floor Marking are dots. Since dots are round - they're best used as place markers for where to stand. Regardless of which Signs and/or Floor Markings you use - be sure to post them everywhere Social Distancing Guidelines are applicable.  Doing so - you'll keep your visitors, staff, and customers as safe as possible. If you visit WarehouseSafetyTips.com (https://www.warehousesafetytips.com/) - you'll find the Show Notes for this episode.   Thank you for listening to Warehouse Safety Tips - and have a SAFE day!
