Shalom Aleikhem, my dear listeners! Both believer and nonbeliver alike! Peace be upon you all, to the glory of Abbah Father YHVH in the Name of Messiah Yeshua! Welcome back to my blog! If you're reading this, that means that there's a new episode of Finding Hyer Ground currently under construction and on the way! In this upcoming episode, I've been led by Rüakh HaKodesh Holy Spirit to share with you the VERY Jewish concept of 'Tíkkün Ölám' - 'תיקון עולם' - 'Repairing The World' through a deep dive study of Romans Chapters 3,5 and 8. Romans (Rom) 5:12-21 CJB [12] "...Here is how it works: it was through one individual that sin entered the world, and through sin, death; and in this way death passed through to the whole human race, inasmuch as everyone sinned. [13] Sin was indeed present in the world before Torah was given, but sin is not counted as such when there is no Torah. [14] Nevertheless death ruled from Adam until Moshe, even over those whose sinning was not exactly like Adam's violation of a direct command. In this, Adam prefigured The One who was to come. [15] But the free gift is not like the offence. For if, because of one man's offence, many died, then how much more has God's grace, that is, the gracious gift of One Man, Yeshua the Messiah, overflowed to many! [16] No, the free gift is not like what resulted from one man's sinning; for from one sinner came judgment that brought condemnation; but the free gift came after many offences and brought acquittal. [17] For if, because of the offence of one man, death ruled through that one man; how much more will those receiving the overflowing grace, that is, the gift of being considered righteous, rule in life through The One Man Yeshua the Messiah! [18] In other words, just as it was through one offence that all people came under condemnation, so also it is through one righteous act that all people come to be considered righteous. [19] For just as through the disobedience of the one man, many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of The Other Man, many will be made righteous. [20] And the Torah came into the picture so that the offence would proliferate; but where sin proliferated, grace proliferated even more. [21] All this happened so that just as sin ruled by means of death, so also grace might rule through causing people to be considered righteous, so that they might have eternal life, through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord." https://bible.com/bible/1275/rom.5.12-21.CJB As we see here, it does indeed seem as if Sha'ul of Tarshish alludes that Messiah Yeshua came to His creation to fix or even undo the calamity that befell upon mankind through Adam's initial transgression against YHVH. It is precisely this 'fixing' and 'undoing' that I will be focusing in on in this upcoming Episode XXVII, as I explain parts of Romans Chapters 3, 5 and 8 in greater depth, which will then segue into explaining in greater detail the very Jewish concept of 'Tíkkün Ölám' תיקון עולם - Repairing The World! This time, I will do it House Hillel style and present both sides of the coin! Both the Rabbinical perception of 'Tíkkün Ölám' and the Messianic Jewish perception of the concept will be represented, respectively. I will also demonstrate just how Messiah Yeshua FULFILLS this very concept, thus bringing the circle to a full close by returning to what our dear brother Sha'ul of Tarshish writes to the Romans in his letter to said Messianic Community. I do hope you enjoy this upcoming episode! https://inheritmag.com/articles/tikkun-olam-repairing-the-world https://lightofmessiah.org/blog/repairing-a-broken-world-the-jewish-concept-of-tikkun-olam --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gadi-hyer4/support

Science fiction traces its roots back to ancient mythology. Its been popular in literature, film, and of course radio. At first, radio science fiction shows were created for kids. In the 1950's, the radio networks attempted to attract new listeners by creating half hour science fiction dramas for grown ups, to battle the new invention of television which was causing their ratings to seriously decline. Among the first of these was the Mutual Broadcasting System program 2000-plus. This was the first adult science fiction series on radio. 2000 Plus was quickly followed by other programs. You're going to hear The Other Man, an episode of 2000 Plus from 1950. Also, Universe from Dimension X by NBC in 1950 which was the second adult science fiction show on radio. You'll also hear Requiem, from Beyond Tomorrow by CBS in 1950, and Bad Medicine from NBC's X-Minus One in 1956. For more podcasts visit KRobCollection.com
How do you sell a movie to Netflix, this episode will give you a bit of insight. We're getting deep into the weeds on Italian director and screenwriter, Ferdinando Cito Filomarino American cinema debut film, Beckett, which I absolutely enjoyed! Beckett stars the incomparable John David Washington and Swedish actress, Alicia Vikander. This action thriller follows an American tourist (Beckett) who had been in a tragic car accident in Greece and suddenly finds himself at the center of a dangerous political conspiracy and on the run for his life. He sets to reach the USA embassy to clear his name. Elements of romance and questions of political power are rolled up into a 90-minute manhunt. Beckett's world premiere was at the Aug 2021 74th Locarno Film Festival and is now distributed exclusively on Netflix.Filomarino talks about the cultural diversity on set - having seven languages spoken. I assume that would include, English, Italian, Greek, Swedish, etc. I was fascinated by the film's meticulously crafted visual elements and screenplay. Filomarino's work may be new to American screens, but he's gained notoriety in European cinema directing or writing on films like The Other Man, Academy award-winning 2017, coming-of-age romantic drama, Call Me by Your Name (Second Unit Director). The story sets in a 1980s rural Northern Italy --- romance blossoms between a seventeen-year-old Jewish Italian, Elio, and a 24-year-old research assistant, Oliver, who's living with the family over the summer to help Elio's father, archaeology professor with his academic paperwork. Call Me By Your Name.Filomarino shadowed Call Me By Your Name's director, Luca Guadagnino while working the second unit on the film and forge a good professional relationship which led to a collaboration in 2010. He was fortunate to have Luca produce his directorial debut, Diarchy in 2010. Diarchy is a Locarno and Sundance Film Festival award-winning short film. Giano and Luc are traveling through the woods when a storm breaks, forcing them to take shelter in Luc's villa. Gradually and insidiously, a competition emerges between them, with terrible consequences. We also chatted about Richard Eyre's, The Other Man, fresh out of university, and how that experience prepared him for his own films. We know that experience is the best teacher, so I am always down for hearing knowledge bombs filmmakers learn from other filmmakers in this line of business. Sort of like an unofficial masterclass. Go watch Beckett! But first, enjoy my conversation with Ferdinando Cito Filomarino. This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/2881148/advertisement

Happy birthday, Petula Clark! Petula's huge hit "Downtown" started climbing the charts about this time in 1964, and by January 1965 it was #1 everywhere. Petula followed up with a string of hits emphasizing the softer side of the British Invasion: "I Know a Place", "My Love", "A Sign of the Times", "I Couldn't Live Without Your Love", "Who Am I", "Colour My World", "This Is My Song", "Don't Sleep in the Subway", "The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener", and "Kiss Me Goodbye". Petula visited the River Rock Casino Resort in 2008 and we sat down to talk about her music and her long and illustrious career in the entertainment business. An amazing talent and a genuinely nice person. Stay in touch with Petula at petulaclark.net
My guest on the Sewers of Paris podcast this week is the author of The Other Man, a forthcoming novel set in Mumbai about two men from very different cultures falling in love. Farhad Dadyburjor knows a thing or two about bridging cultures — growing up in India, he developed a deep obsession with western pop stars like Madonna and even came out to a friend via a carefully phrased comparison to George Michael. These days he's gained a much richer understanding of himself and his community — thanks to a combination of queer literature and dance parties. We'll have that conversation in a minute. First a big thanks to everyone who supports the Sewers of Paris at Patreon.com/mattbaume. And to everyone who's left a review on Apple podcasts or wherever you listen. Also don't forget to check out my YouTube where I post videos about queer pop culture history — and you can also head over to my Patreon to watch hours of bonus videos featuring stories of queer TV, film, and Broadway history. And check out my cute little newsletter where I share sneak peeks at what I'm working on at mattbaume.com.

Social media handles www.caramellucas.net https://anchor.fm/caramel-lucas https://caramel.substack.com/ https://Instagram.com/mscaramellucas/ https://twitter.com/Ms__Carame https://www.facebook.com/Caramel_Lucas/ https://Linkedin.comCaramelLucas/ I love creating things and seeing and trying new things and I'm always curating something in my mind to find something new to do. [3:30] I love motivating, inspiring, and impacting people because I want to show people that they don't have to do one thing but whatever they feel like they want to do consciously and make something out of it and be proud that they have done it. [3:48] I believe that if you're working for something, you have to find something that you like so that you find the fun in whatever you do. [4:43] At first, I was thinking about creating some kind of jeans, fashion, clothing wear, but then I thought that everybody does that. [5:31] I decided to find something different than nobody does and fragrance came into mind. [5:46] I called this company and told them I wanted to do a fragrance of essences that I loved to smell of which are cashmere, caramel, and vanilla and so we got together and made a fragrance that turned out to smell good. [5:53] I wanted to something different that makes me feel good to say I did it. [6:18] In 2013 I wrote a book ‘In Love with the Other Man,' and I had a character that everybody loved and so I decided to take this character and let everybody see what she was really about. [6:53] I had four girls in the book, Liz, Kesha, Denise, and Tanya, and everybody felt something about Liz. [7:10] Liz was a married woman with three kids and a husband and she was going through so much in her life and I wanted people to see what she was going through. [7:24] My friend of a long time who does productions asked me if I wanted to make a movie out of my book and I thought it was a great opportunity. [8:37] I directed and produced the whole thing and with some of his input, we had the film done which was just amazing. [9:03] I did everything out of my pocket without asking anybody for any funding because I wanted to do it on my own as I felt this was my baby. [9:50] I'm always ready to take risks because I believe that you will never know the outcome if you don't take a risk. [10:36] Commercial Break [10:52] My next goal is my stand-up comedy which I do as well and so right now I'm on a project with a local pizza place to do an open mic to give the community a chance to come in and showcase their talents including poetry, music, and comedy. [12:28] We have been sitting still for a year and now it's time to get out and get with the community and do something for them. [12:57] I'm also working on a game called ‘Choices' that is found on Play Store. [13:20] I'm also doing my Portugal course and I just submitted poetry and now waiting to see if I am going to get an award from it. [14:02] I feel like art is important because it shows it shows positive energy for me and shows people that you can do whatever you want. [14:35] Any direction that you go with regards to art, becomes beautiful if you put your time and energy into it. [14:47] When you have that positive energy, and have that wonderful art of letting people know the positivity, that's what I do. [15:14] We were down for a year and we didn't have anyone around us but our family and now as we are opening up we need to embrace each other and calm everything down instead of being all hostile and all everywhere. [16:18] Whatever art that you do it is a factor to unite people by accepting it or creating it and that is awesome. [16:35] You only live once in life and so when you do whatever you don't be scared of what other people think but do what you feel is best for you. In which Cate Blanchett has more than a few financial problems but is still better off than people who spend their time podcasting. Anytime now, Spotify. Anyway... Ms. Blanchett is great here. As is Sally Hawkins. And we suppose the director (WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS) does some fine work as well. Casting Louis CK as The Other Man was a curious choice even in 2013. But Cate Blanchett is so good! Just to go back to that Louis CK point... he was The Other Man to... Bobby Cannavale. That's it. This is the last Woody Allen episode. Thanks for listening. Denis Johnson’s landmark short story collection Jesus’ Son tells the story of a drug-addict searching for meaning and purpose in life. The book’s erratic, surreal style lends itself to a truly memorable read as the narrator (F**khead) recounts the story of his life filled with robbery, sex, murder, and more. He struggles throughout, hitting rock bottom over and over again before landing on a path of possible recovery. Stories Covered: Car Crash While Hitchhiking, Two Men, Out on Bail, Dundun, Work, Emergency, Dirty Wedding, The Other Man, Happy Hour, Steady Hands at Seattle General, Beverly Home. Topics: how autobiographical is the book, the search for meaning, potential meanings behind the title of the book, Luke talks about his own car accident, Georgie’s desire to be heroic, Luke & James’s trip to Seattle, FH wanting to be saved by the women in his life, and the disconnect between the broken and the well-adjusted of this world.
