The admission came out Monday as part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit brought by the non-profit Southeastern Legal Foundation. “We're duty bound to make sure that everybody's following the law here. And it sure looks like that's questionable at this moment,” Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., a member of the House Oversight Committee that is conducting the Biden impeachment inquiry right now, said hours after the revelation. Perry told the John Solomon Reports podcast that lawmakers in Congress must take action to ensure all the emails are preserved given the history of Hillary Clinton’s team trying to delete her private emails or to destroy the devices they were stored on. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., who first raised questions about President Biden’s use of private email years ago, said the discovery of the emails should be combed for potential evidence by every investigator from Congress to the Justice Department. Under legal pressure, the National Archives has confirmed to a court that it has located 82,000 pages of emails that Biden sent or received during his vice presidential tenure on three private pseudonym accounts. It’s a total that potentially dwarfs the amount that landed Hillary Clinton in hot water a decade ago. The total of Biden private email exchanges was disclosed Monday in a little-noticed status report filed in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit brought against the National Archives and Records Administration by the nonprofit public interest law firm the Southeastern Legal Foundation. The first student loan proposal, announced by President Joe Biden, would have promised up to $20,000 in debt relief for low- and middle-income individuals. The Supreme Court struck that down in June. The DOE has yet to release the full details of the plan, saying that it wants to cancel some or all student debt for borrowers whose balances exceed what they originally owed; those who have loans that entered repayment 25 or more years ago; those who used loans to attend career-training programs that led to “unreasonable” debt loads or insufficient earnings; or those who are eligible for other loan forgiveness programs but did not apply. According to a pilot study led by Manchester Metropolitan University, those who do not read legacy mainstream media and opt for alternative sources of information demonstrate unhealthy symptoms of physical and mental stress, which can lead to heart attacks. The research study used so-called “sophisticated techniques” to monitor how people use media websites to measure their reactions to online information. The researchers claimed people with a low ID have a flawed ‘threat’ response when presented with misleading information in a stressful situation, which they say brings on cardiac responses and erratic reading behavior. The study also found that participants with low IDs also lacked self-confidence. It also claimed that reading alternative media from “unverified” sources (i.e., not reading CNN, MSNBC, BBC, ect) could negatively affect a person’s health and well-being. Senior Lecturer in Information and Communications at Manchester Metropolitan University and principal investigator on the study, Dr Geoff Walton, said: “Those who aren’t very good at making judgments about information they read or see in newspapers, TV, or social media, especially misinformation such as fake news, experience a negative physical response to it. This means that misinformation is actually bad for their physical health. “On the other hand, those people that are very good at making judgments about information tend to have a much healthier physical response when they encounter misinformation,” he said. Woman screams as Donald Trump is sworn in as President- Play 0:00-0:10 - That was an example of the healthy response they may exhibit. “Given the constant barrage of fake news that we come across every day of our lives, it clearly shows there is a worrying public health issue emerging.” “However, our previous research has shown that we can change this through teaching and training so that people get better at making judgments about misinformation such as fake news.” “By doing so, they will have a much better physical response, which will positively affect their well-being.” “This shows it is now time for school teachers and lecturers to be given the right tools, devised in our previous research, to develop ID in their learners.” The results will be presented at the European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL) later this year. A peer-reviewed journal article is in preparation, and a larger study is planned. Similarly, a WHO study from 2022 claimed reading so-called “misinformation” can have a negative effect on health. The official website of the WHO reported: Incorrect interpretations of health information, which increase during outbreaks and disasters, often negatively impact people’s mental health and increase vaccine hesitancy, and can delay the provision of health care, a new WHO review shows. The authors conclude that the effects of infodemics and health misinformation online can be countered by “developing legal policies, creating and promoting awareness campaigns, improving health-related content in mass media and increasing people’s digital and health literacy”. The systematic review of published studies found 31 reviews that analysed fake news, misinformation, disinformation and infodemics related to health. Misinformation was defined as false or inaccurate information deliberately intended to deceive, while disinformation also included misleading or biased information, manipulated narratives or facts, and propaganda. The authors gathered, compared, and summarized this evidence in order to identify ways to address the negative effects of false health information on public health. “Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram are critical in disseminating the rapid and far-reaching spread of information,” the systematic review explains. The repercussions of misinformation on social media include such negative effects as “an increase in erroneous interpretation of scientific knowledge, opinion polarization, escalating fear and panic or decreased access to health care”. The increased spread of health-related misinformation in a health emergency is accelerated by easy access to online content, especially on smartphones. “During crises such as infectious disease outbreaks and disasters, the overproduction of data from multiple sources, the quality of the information and the speed at which new information is disseminated create social and health-related impacts.” The authors found that social media have been propagating poor-quality health-related information during pandemics, humanitarian crises, and health emergencies at an increasing rate. They note, “Such spreading of unreliable evidence on health topics amplifies vaccine hesitancy and promotes unproven treatments.” All the more reason not to read mainstream media.

The official website of the WHO reported: Incorrect interpretations of health information, which increase during outbreaks and disasters, often negatively impact people’s mental health and increase vaccine hesitancy, and can delay the provision of health care, a new WHO review shows. The authors conclude that the effects of infodemics and health misinformation online can be countered by “developing legal policies, creating and promoting awareness campaigns, improving health-related content in mass media and increasing people’s digital and health literacy”. The systematic review of published studies found 31 reviews that analysed fake news, misinformation, disinformation and infodemics related to health. Misinformation was defined as false or inaccurate information deliberately intended to deceive, while disinformation also included misleading or biased information, manipulated narratives or facts, and propaganda. The authors gathered, compared, and summarized this evidence in order to identify ways to address the negative effects of false health information on public health. “Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram are critical in disseminating the rapid and far-reaching spread of information,” the systematic review explains. The repercussions of misinformation on social media include such negative effects as “an increase in erroneous interpretation of scientific knowledge, opinion polarization, escalating fear and panic or decreased access to health care”. The increased spread of health-related misinformation in a health emergency is accelerated by easy access to online content, especially on smartphones. “During crises such as infectious disease outbreaks and disasters, the overproduction of data from multiple sources, the quality of the information and the speed at which new information is disseminated create social and health-related impacts.” The authors found that social media have been propagating poor-quality health-related information during pandemics, humanitarian crises, and health emergencies at an increasing rate. They note, “Such spreading of unreliable evidence on health topics amplifies vaccine hesitancy and promotes unproven treatments.” All the more reason not to read mainstream media.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), an arm of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), recently saw one of its major agency efforts that placed severe limits on the Maine lobster fishing industry in the name of protecting right whales from being entangled in fishing gear rejected by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. The far-reaching impact of NMFS's rule on the Maine $1.5 billion dollar lobster fishing industry was widely reported, resulting in multiple lawsuits, and congressional action before it was rejected by the appeals court, who chided the federal agency for being “egregiously wrong” about its authority and assessments.NMFS's efforts to restrict the lobster fishing industry through the enactment of rules under both the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammal Protection Act is part of a larger trend. NMFS is also considering putting a speed limit on recreational boats in the Florida gulf to protect Rice's whales, and another proposal to impose a speed limit across nearly the entirety of the Eastern seaboard, which coastal communities, boaters and fishermen claim will shut down harmless boating activity and place boaters in danger by demanding they travel at the speeds that make boat travel impossible. A Russian court on Monday sentenced one of the Kremlin's most prominent critics, Vladimir Kara-Murza, to 25 years in prison, after what was widely seen as a show trial. This marks the longest prison sentence ever handed down against an opponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The owner of the Hotel of Terror has enough petition signatures to force the city to take a second look at using eminent domain to take his property. ALSO -  Kimberly Hermann with the Southeastern Legal Foundation joins Nick: In the fall of 2020, Springfield Public Schools held a mandatory “equity” training for all of its employees. In August 2021, Brooke Henderson and Jennifer Lumley, two educators in SPS, stepped forward and with the help of Southeastern Legal Foundation filed the first-in-the-nation lawsuit against the mandatory district-wide training. In the lawsuit, Ms. Henderson and Ms. Lumley alleged that the training violated the First Amendment because it compelled their speech and discriminated against their views that America should be colorblind. They also alleged that the district conditioned their employment on their commitment to equity, becoming anti-racist educators, and affirming divisive and discriminatory programming that promotes treating individuals differently based on skin color. Ms. Henderson and Ms. Lumley sought only a court order stopping SPS from violating the Constitution and a mere $1 in damages. The two lost the case and U.S. District Judge Douglas Harpool ordered Jennifer Lumley and Brooke Henderson to pay the district $312,869 in legal fees.

Kimberly Hermann pulls no punches no matter what. The pro-liberty advocate is general counsel, Southeastern Legal Foundation, a non-profit public interest constitutional law firm that advocates for individual liberty, free speech, economic freedom and the rule of law. In a penetrating opinion piece recently on five 'ways' Americans could see their First Amendment rights radically challenged during the Biden Administration, she wrote: "One word, five letters: 'unity.' It is the left's new mantra. How do we know? Because the mainstream media can't stop praising and echoing President Joe Biden's inaugural calls for unity. But a word is simply a word." "The actions of the left over the years have told a different story, a sneaky one," added Hermann. "One in which they use unity to create a divide. We are 50 states united as one nation under God. In that sense, we can all agree that unity is no doubt a civic virtue we should strive for. But today's use of the word "unity" is simply a wolf in sheep's clothing, and it comes at a cost to conservatives. That cost is your voice, your speech, your constitutional right." It's a trend, however, that cuts a wide swathe across the American population. "If you are a college student, or anyone else for that matter, and you disagree with any policy coming out of the left – for example, on climate change -- then you are personally responsible for dividing our country.," said Hermann. "if you agree [with the left], then you are very uniting our country." Added Hermann: "That is not what our country is founded upon." Then-Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch's concerns were first raised in a Ukrainian news story about a Russian-backed fugitive lawmaker in Ukraine, who alleged Burisma had dumped low-priced natural gas into the market for officials near Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to buy low and sell high, making a bribe disguised as a profit. The scheme was confirmed by U.S. officials before Yovanovitch alerted the top State official for Ukraine and Russia policy in Washington at the time, Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, the memos show. "There are accusations that Burisma allegedly had a subsidiary dump natural gas as a way to pay bribes," Yovanovitch wrote Nuland on Dec. 29, 2016, noting the story "mentions that Hunter Biden and former Polish President Kwasniewski are on the Burisma Board." The alert was the second in two years in which the embassy alleged Burisma had paid a bribe while Vice President Joe Biden's son served on its board. Back in February 2015, then-embassy official George Kent reported to the U.S. Justice Department evidence that Burisma had made a $7 million cash bribe to Ukrainian prosecutors before those prosecutors killed a separate corruption probe in the United Kingdom by failing to produce required evidence. The second alleged bribe in December 2016 was brought to the attention of Yovanovitch and Kent, then a top aide to the ambassador, shortly after the Christmas holiday when a story appeared in the Ukrainian press. "Lots of accusations/innuendo," Yovanovitch was told in an email. "Mentions Biden's son and Kwasniewski are on board of Burisma, which allegedly had a subsidiary dump natural gas recently as a way to pay bribes to P2 inner circle." P2 was the shorthand State officials in the U.S. embassy in Kiev used to refer to Petro Poroshenko, the Ukrainian president, who was close to Vice President Biden.   Because the allegations were first raised by Oleksander Onyschenko, a fugitive in Ukraine who was tied to Russian sources, as well as Radical Party Leader Oleg Lyashko, embassy officials checked them out and confirmed them before telling Nuland.   "The dumping part is true," the embassy's deputy economic counselor wrote Yovanovitch a few hours after the story surfaced and before Nuland was alerted.   The official told the ambassador a major Ukrainian figure close to Poroshenko was "photographed meeting with [Burisma founder Mykola] Zlochevsky in a Vienna restaurant over the weekend, and Zlochevsky may have handed over a suitcase. You can't make this up." Within a few days of the bribe claim, word emerged in Ukraine that the prosecutor general's office had settled their long-running corruption case against Burisma in exchange for a tax penalty. Anti-corruption activists in Ukraine quickly expressed their displeasure to American officials. Inside the embassy, U.S. officials who had worked alongside Vice President Biden for years were resigned to the closure of the case and frustrated that a company tied to Hunter Biden had undercut U.S. efforts to fight endemic corruption in Ukraine "The Burisma tale of getting a court to shut down a PGO investigation noted below would amount to nearly the same mechanism —  rich connected businessman politician seeks to use the court/judge of unknown reputation to close an investigation of a business with a dodgy reputation," Kent wrote Yovanovitch on Jan. 13, 2017, one week before Trump took office. Right up to Obama's last day in office, the U.S. embassy officials continued to follow and remark on Burisma's escape from prosecution.   For more than a year, the Bidens, congressional Democrats and their allies in the American media have sought to portray the story of Hunter Biden's work for Burisma as a Russian-inspired conspiracy theory that had been discredited.   But the Obama-Biden era documents gathered by this news organization over more than a year under FOIA clearly show State officials believed the Bidens' behavior created the appearance of a conflict of interest because Joe Biden continued to preside over anti-corruption policy in Ukraine while his son worked for a company under investigation for corruption.   And now the latest documents show those same officials had reported not one, but two alleged efforts by Burisma to pay bribes to end the investigations while the vice president's son served on the company's board.
