Have you ever looked at someone you follow online and compared your business to theirs because it looks like they have it all figured out? I can bet you that in one post you cannot even know a part of the story or details that helped the person get to where they are. I bet at some point in their journey, there have been moments of failure.Everyone fails. It's a normal part of life and a normal part of business. If you haven't already, at some point you will launch something that doesn't catch. This might make you feel like you failed. But instead of looking at it negatively, look at what this launch failure could teach you. What could really propel you to the next level, is looking at your launch from a bird's eye perspective. You're going to have to ask yourself some hard questions and that's what I'm going to talk to you about today in this episode. TAKEAWAYSStop self sabotaging. Sometimes we self sabotage by hiding behind a social media platform, doing something we don't want to do, launching something at the wrong time of year. All of this can be avoided as we go back and re-evaluate our launches and try something different next time.Analyze the quality of your leads and where they are coming from. Are you getting your leads from a Bundle? Facebook Ads? Your email list? Go back and analyze to see where you saw the most conversion, and use that data to make your future decisions.Ask yourself two questions. (1) Did you really want to launch the program? And then ask, (2) what's the data telling you? If you are not willing to ask yourself these two questions, you'll do the same thing over and over expecting different results while you'll keep getting the same results.RESOURCES:Find the blog post that accompanies this episodeDownload The $80,000 Email Template CONNECT WITH ALLISON:Follow Allison on InstagramDID YOU HAVE AN 'AH-HA MOMENT' WHILE LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE?If you found value and are ready to take action from listening to this episode, head to Apple Podcasts and help us reach new audiences by giving the podcast a rating and a review. We expand our definition of prayer a little bit, for we do have a history together. Prayer is talking to God, and thats how we begin. It is talking to God, however, with the purpose of flowering our talks into conversation. We consider two passages today, and two questions. Our passages: “And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. John 17:3 (as always) And one of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” 29Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; 30 AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' 31 “The second is this, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:28-31 Our questions: What does it look like to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? How can we love someone so, if we rarely or never interact, or talk to or have a conversation with them. You can share your answers or ponder them on your own the next time we will examine if these are ligament questions. "What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more." Have you set out to achieve something thinking it will elicit a feeling from within only to achieve that thing and not FEEL anything from your achievement? As we approach the end of the year, many of you may already be contemplating what you want and desire for 2024. I love goal setting when it is done with intentionality. In today's episode, we reverse engineer exactly this so we stop repeating this pattern. We cover:

Ep. 160: In his 42 seasons at Duke, Coach Mike Krzyzewski built a dynasty that few programs in the history of the game can match. He is the winningest, five-time national champion and NCAA record 13-time Final Four participant. As the head coach of the U.S. Men's National Basketball Team, he brought home six gold medals. So you might say that Coach K knows a little something about getting “buy-in” from his team. “You have to put yourself in a position to have conversations and build relationships with people,” he shared in this episode. “I spent more time near the locker room complex than in my sixth-floor office because I knew that would lead to impromptu discussions.” Our BONUS RESOURCE for this episode includes fill-in-the-blank notes and reflection questions. Nothing creates team buy-in more effectively than the “ownership mindset” espoused by our guest on this episode of Gratitude Through Hard Times. What's the secret sauce? Kerry Siggins, CEO at StoneAge Inc., shares with Host Chris Schembra her powerful building blocks for cultivating workplace cultures rooted in accountability. It's about caring – for colleagues, customers and ourselves – and ensuring that everyone feels seen and heard as well as empowered to act. She explains how StoneAge, an employee-owned manufacturer of waterjet tools and equipment for industrial cleaning based in Colorado, instills a sense of community and the safety to fail among its 250 employees (all of whom Kerry hopes to see become millionaires one day, thanks to their Employee-Owned Stock Plan, or ESOP). You'll also hear all about Kerry's latest passion project, her recently released book, "The Ownership Mindset: A Handbook for Transforming Your Life and Leadership." In it, she highlights her personal “hero's journey” as well as hard-won lessons about how to conceive and execute corporate strategy. The formula includes several ingredients, the most important of which is learning how to formulate the right questions. Then ask, ask, ask again! Says Kerry: “You learn so much and quickly get to the root of what's really going on if you're curious. So that's my superpower: Questions!” Find out how to find and foster an “ownership mindset” in your workplace by prioritizing gratitude, empathy, agency and curiosity. The show wraps up with a reminder from Chris that in today's business global environment, these aren't just soft skills, “they're the hard skills needed to instill an ownership mindset within your team!”Click here if you'd like to grab a copy of Kerry's just-released book, "The Ownership Mindset: A Handbook for Transforming Your Life and Leadership."Or check out her podcast, Reflect Forward: Conversations on Leadership, at this link.If you'd like to learn more about Chris and his 7:47 Virtual Gratitude Experience or subscribe to our newsletter, please visit this link.Click here to hear more fascinating conversations with Fortune 500 CEOs, professional athletes and entertainerswho have shared their human stories on Gratitude Through Hard Times. So, if you ask really good questions, you can find out all kinds of information and get all kinds of new ideas.” (Kerry) “You learn so much and quickly get to the root of what's really going on if you're curious. So that's my superpower: Questions.” (Kerry) “The economic potential of any successful team or organization lies not in the strength of individuals on your team but in your ability to help them connect, collaborate and champion a shared vision.” (Chris) “When we're feeling Imposter Syndrome and fear, we're really focused on ourselves ... (but) you can make it about somebody else and turn that negative self-doubt into a positive impact on someone else's life.” (Kerry) “The power of questions, empathizing with those around you, giving gratitude around you – these are not just the soft skills that were once avoided in the boardroom. Hey there, Lashpreneurs!
Our series continues with Pastor Lisa Kai delivering this week's message as only she can in her unique and relatable way. We are all called upon to pray and rise up during our spiritual journey. Our Lord Jesus has placed upon each of us an anointing, but how will we respond when He comes calling to answer the opportunity? Our service of Him is not just within the church, but also at home, our workplace, or the community. Pastor Lisa starts off with “Two Questions for You and I” and follows up rhetorically with what kind of church member are you? She wraps everything up nicely by giving us a blueprint for success in “How to be Prepared for Our Devine Assignment” using our God-given special gifts and talents. We talk a LOT about questions and sometimes it can feel tough to know what question to ask and when or what question will help you the most. Today we're narrowing it down to just TWO questions and at least one of them is one we haven't talked about before. These two questions have helped my marriage a lot and they also help me avoid procrastination and get sh*t done! the fact that creation leads to success, and the fact that people want to create something never surprises me. What does surprise me is how many people never take action.I'm sure there are a ton of limiting beliefs and productivity challenges that makes people quite. We can discuss that stuff on other episodes, but for now I want to talk about the first thing that keeps us from starting. When we first get into content creation we struggle with two questions:Clarity of the medium (how to create it?)Niche, or topic (what to create about?)You might have an answer to one of these questions, or both, or neither. And it can change. Especially when we are multi-passionate
Two Questions: 1) If you died today, would you go to Heaven or Hell? 2) If you were to stand before God and he were to ask you, "Why should I let you into heaven, what would you say?" Pastors Bill and Eric discuss Ephesians 2:8-9 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God--not by works, so that no can boast. We cannot earn our way - we trust God for it. Welcome back to Courage and Spice! As 2023 continues, today I'm sharing with you a compassionate and deceptively simple self-reflection process that has gotten me through uncertain times recently. Listen in for these two questions that you can use to support yourself when the future doesn't seem so clear. QUOTES“Adulting has real periods of strain. And often there is no neat solution… we have to keep going. There's no destination. I'm unlikely to get to a time where there aren't pressures or some kind of constraint. I need to figure out a way to support myself in this.”“When the world or our lives feel really complex and uncertain and big, it's almost like we need to meet that with a big solution. But actually, I found that the simpler the solution, the more likely we are to do it.”
