Ohhh boy a long one. (That's what she said.) Rene' Jr. produces the show this week but can't help but to throw his 2 cents in on occasion. The Podcast makes a change with One More and Whisky Jim taking the reigns. The episode was recorded at Bartolini's Restaurant in Midlothian. There are some audio glitches in the beginning til about the 2:45 mark so be patient it gets corrected. Chris Bartolini joins the crew in the first segment to discuss the big changes on the horizon, how things came to be and where they are headed. An amazing revelation at just how much The Bartolini's cherish and appreciate their hard working staff. Whisky Jim and Chris go down memory lane with tales of the southside. In the second segment Phil Wingo joins the conversation with everything Porkmafia, his spice and rub brand. Phil describes how it all got started and explains why he loves doing what he does. His travels around the globe, the people he has meet and his many tales from those trips are damn entertaining and inspiring. As usual, it's all over the place but what else would you expect from Windy City Redneck The Podcast. Thanks to all the great staff and Bartolini's for having the crew and thanks to Phil's family for staying later than we planned. ChatGPT has taken the internet by storm, spurring all manner of experiments and examination as to what extent the artificial-intelligence model can supplant humans and daily tasks. But it's also being used on Wall Street, where a number of exchange-traded fund issuers, including State Street, have grasped onto the concept to help put together innovative products. Matt Bartolini, head of SPDR Americas Research at State Street Global Advisors, joined the What Goes Up podcast to talk about using AI in portfolio construction. His firm's SPDR S&P Kensho New Economies Composite ETF is up roughly 20% this year. “The reason why we went down this path of using AI is that we wanted something forward looking—something dynamic—because back in 2018, we understood that, in the ETF world, there weren't a lot of strategies that were this forward-looking, innovative-type paradigm,” Bartolini said. “The AI process was able to deliver that for us.” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Brit Bartolini is a Senior Enterprise Account Executive at Blueboard. She shares her initial reluctance to enter sales due to negative stereotypes, and her subsequent surprise that sales are actually a transfer of enthusiasm through storytelling. She also digs into how it is to sell to sales and HR leaders and how recognition and incentives keep sellers motivated and fresh. Brit talks about using the 5 love languages in her selling and how stories about experiences create a bond in a primarily online sales culture. HIGHLIGHT QUOTES Give sellers experiences to recognize their hard work - Brit: "I'm going to take away that justifiability factor. Go do something nice for yourself because you pushed harder, you went above and beyond, and then come back and tell us that story because that story, as we know in sales, has a ripple effect. It makes people care, it makes people feel connected. It motivates others." Cash is not the incentive to a winning sales culture - Brit: "When we're thinking about sales culture, especially as we turn our attention to a remote world, how are we building that connection? Cash isn't going to do that. If I sit in my room and feel isolated all day long making cold calls, and then my boss is like here's a $50 gift card for hitting your cold calling goals this quarter, yay? But I don't even know half of my team." Elia Bartolini (@elia_bodyweight), the Flexibility Guy - comes onto the Passive Hang! Elia is a flexibility and handstand coach living in Rome, Italy. I love Elia since he shares not only in-depth and tips for real flexibility development, but also loves taking th e piss of the culture of french fries fast information. We go deep on the middle splits in this episode, as Elia has… a great middle split. His inspiration comes from childhood, when seeing JCVD doing the middle splits over the chairs. Elia has worked out many ways of flexibility development, so much he has actually written books on it! He advocates for using a blend of traditional and modern methods, and we get to hear what he means by these terms. The great thing is Elia covers different approaches and considerations for you depending on your flexibility type - if you're someone where relaxation comes easier, versus loaded stretching. We also go through breathing within stretching, what type of floor surface, and the role of hip rotation in the middle splits. Thanks Elia!
