Wonderfalls was one of many victims of the FOX Network's impatience in the early 2000s, cancelled after just one season. Kevin, a fan of the show for many years, discusses with Jerome, a first time viewer, the disadvantages the show had going into it and how it went into survival mode after just one episode, as well as how it is very much a product of its time. A broad overview of what Jerome considers to be "the weirdest show they've watched to date" steers the conversation into thoughts on the show's concept, the main cast (including a reverse introduction to two actors previously talked about in other shows), its ties to the Whedonverse, alternate casting and future plans, and if another season was warranted. Somehow, The Simpsons and Star Trek are also briefly discussed.

Does Wonderfalls have the best theme song in television history? Is Jaye Tyler the greatest lead character of all time? Is Wonderfalls the best show to ever only last one season? We answer none of these questions, but we do ask all of them.
Some shows come and go with a ton of fanfare, and yet somehow, for some reason, we don’t get a Season 2. Think of some of the shows that you loved that never saw a second year? I know of at least one western sci-fi that hits the mark, along with Wonderfalls, and Cop Rock. Anyway, in this instance, the show could most certainly have had a second season if the people behind the curtain pushed a little harder, but with no story arc to tell, and a large budget to account for… it went away after giving us an amazing 10 episode arc. So let’s head into the past and future, lift a stone and see the creepy crawlies that are hiding in every magical corner of Lovecraft Country. Does it still hold up? Well, only one way to find out… on THE END. Ok, here we go, and we got our travel atlas… Full Episode

The short-lived TV show Wonderfalls might have only squeaked out one season, but you can always count on fanfiction to continue the story. A fire in Jaye's trailer leaves her scrambling for a place to live, and eventually leads to Tyler siblings' romantic lives being outed to their parents. But honestly, with dialogue as fun as this, who cares what the plot is? Link to the story: https://archiveofourown.org/works/1152583/chapters/2337081

Tracie Thoms (Rent, Death Proof, Wonderfalls) helps me brainstorm a Death Proof musical, recommends a cult horror classic, and elaborates on the Karens Gone Wild content that she contextualizes on Instagram. Her page is such a consciously curated source of news, follow her at @TracieThoms on Instagram and on Twitter. Then, because you loved her before and you'll love her even more after listening, book a Tracie Thoms Cameo: cameo.com/traciethoms And if you need a little help with an audition, you're not going to get better bang for your buck than her Artists and Beyond class: www.artistsandbeyond.com/traciethoms
Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 66th episode of "VideoFuzzy," reporting the progress I've made in cataloging nearly 2,900 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "Providing Leverage," I was joined by Marc Bailey of the "Grailwolf's Geek Life" podcast via Facebook Rooms in celebrating the three-year anniversary of this podcast with a where-have-they-been conversation about Jossverse actors. First, however, I feature the pilot episode of "Leverage," titled "The Nigerian Job." In Cross Connections, I track Timothy Hutton, Mark Valley, Lily Tomlin, and track Michael O'Neill as a Golden Thread running throughout my media collection. In my Classic VHS-to-DVD Collection, I talk about encountering the series finale of "Boston Legal," along with episodes of "The West Wing," "Eli Stone," "Fringe," a scrap of grid search and election night 2008 featuring John McCain's concession speech and President-Elect Barack Obama's Grant Park address. In my Direct-to-DVD Collection, I touch briefly on a second season episode from "Supernatural" featuring La Monde Byrd as blues musician Robert Johnson and introducing a crossroads demon, early proof-of-concept for Mark A. Sheppard's long-running Crowley character. I then transition to a wide-ranging conversation with Marc Bailey discussing Jossverse actors in such shows as "Angel," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Firefly," "Serenity," "Dollhouse," "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," "Seal Team," "Harley Quinn," "Powerless," "Miracles," "Point Pleasant," "Wonderfalls," "Dietland," "Castle," "Pearson," "The Crazy Ones," "Chance," "Tru Calling" and Joss Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing," with comments touching on "Star Wars," Kenneth Branagh's "Murder on the Orient Express," remastering issues and spoiler etiquette.
Things turn a little Sumerian as a Gozer-like energy entity attacks the city! Oh, wait, that's just flying brainwaves? Nothing to see here then, people - move along. Edward 'Snoke' Nygma sits atop his throne (not made of blood or in a castle of pain) and he is getting smarter before our very eyes! Dick springs into action and shouts VERY LOUDLY. Way to stay secretive, Mr Grayson. Joining the investigation is a new pairing, a new partnership - first up we have the Meme Queen herself, Alyson Grimm! Joining her all the way from Wonderfalls is Robert E.G. Black! This duo are here to deal with all the Cock & Bull and to lay the smack down on The Riddler's candy a**. The next episode follows on Wednesday. Same Bat Pod, different Bat Minute! Join us on Facebook at the Bat Minute Listener's Cave! Subscribe to us on Patreon for even more content! The Bat Minute theme song is by the band Rat Bit Kit and Ash Lerczak (aka Doc Horror) of Zombina & The Skeletones and Double Echo. Alyson Grimm - Twitter Robert E.G.
