I have so much I want to share with you; life experiences, high performance coaching, entrepreneurial insight, and leadership consulting. We are all faced with constant choices in our everyday life and it is up to us to make the best choice for ourselves, our families, and our livelihood. I also believe that with the choices come changes and that we should not be afraid of change, but should face it head on with passion and courage--as HIGH PERFORMERS! As a leader and a business consultant, I have faced many situations in which I had to make difficult choices and each one of those choices led me to learn more about myself and more about how I want to serve and lead others. This podcast is for anyone that is looking to improve and increase their self awareness, leadership and overall performance in life. I want to bring you insight, advice, and mentoring--speaking from experience and from the heart (with a little sass of course).
Ready to accelerate your growth in 2021? In E87 Paula Moyer and I sat down to talk about our own growth and share our top tips on how to accelerate yours - which could not be more important with the New Year right around the corner. Real talk...2020 was a serious dumpster fire. BUT. That isn't necessarily a bad thing - take a journey with me towards a serious perspective shift. Fire is simultaneously destructive and transformative. So why not take everything you learned in 2020 and use it to transform 2021... Burn off what we no longer need. Burn off what is no longer useful. Burn off what no longer serves you. And fuel that which is aligned with the best of you - to ultimately change the trajectory of your life. Paula's journey is truly an example of leaning into the transformative power of the fire y'all. This is an episode you don't want to miss!! And this all being said, we can also embrace how hard it actually was and grieve all the things that we may have lost (people, jobs, money, opportunities, health…). Both sides are equally important for the perspective shift.
Is your ego running the show? Now I won't get into the whole “your ego is not your amigo” speech - because here is the secret about true alignment, your ego operates in conjunction with the whole (it just doesn't run the show). In E86 Marianne Zakhour and I sit down to talk about operating from a place of alignment, specifically in regards to leadership. And if you think that means this doesn't apply to you, keep reading… Guess what? We are all leaders. Which means that even if you aren't responsible for a business or a team, you are still responsible for how you show up with the people in your life - this episode is for YOU. How do we show up more aligned? By doing the work. So sit back, relax, and tune into E86.
Are you suffering enough? And here is what I mean by that… I don't want you to inherently suffer, just like I imagine you don't want that for yourself either - so why is it then that we wait until we hit rock bottom to start to make changes? Why do we have to sink so deep into the muck that we feel like there is no way out before we decide we've had enough - that this isn't how we want to spend our lives? Because we think we aren't suffering enough for change to be necessary? In this episode, Dr. Diana Draper and I share our own journey's through the muck, and the lessons we've learned around responding to suffering sooner (listening to the gentle nudges before they become a big shove). Because guess what? Suffering is a natural part of life (meaning, it WILL happen), but that doesn't mean we have to stay stuck in it. We are here to redefine shadow work y'all - and bring more grace, more joy, and more fluidity to the process. You are not alone.
Get your snorkels out… Because we are about to dive deep. Ever thought life is hard? Now I am not here to tell you that you are wrong - but compared to what? Of course it is hard sometimes. But it is also beautiful. And joyful. And fulfilling. It's all about perspective. It's all about mindset. When you are faced with adversity, you are also presented with an opportunity. An opportunity to prove to yourself that you already have everything you need inside of you. And let me tell you, you are so much stronger than you know. In this week's episode, I share with you some of the major milestones of my own journey - and how the most difficult experiences I have been up against have led to some of the proudest, most beautiful moments of my life. Because this life, the triumphs, the struggles, it all has purpose. So ask yourself, how is your mindset when presented with a difficult situation? This episode is truly a conversation from my heart to yours, and I hope it inspires you to share your story - because it matters. And tune back in next week for part two.
Guess who's back, back again? Jasmine Shea's back, tell your friends - because they are going to want to get in on all the nuggets in this week's episode. If you missed my first interview with Jasmine, you can catch up on all the goodies by listening in to E67. And for those of you who don't already know her, let me give a quick intro for this incredible human being - she is a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner, a Human Resources professional with experience in coaching leaders & CEOs in digital marketing, and the founder of Your Dinner Is Planned. I am so honoured to be joined this week by the incredible Juli Ann Booker. Juli Ann is a Senior Account Executive at Western Wealth Capital - a Vancouver based real estate investment company. I have had the privilege of both coaching Juli Ann personally, and doing consulting work within the company as a whole. In this week's episode, Juli Ann shares with us the transformation she went through as a result of her time being coached - and how that transformation continues to impact her life today in the craziness of COVID, and the transition into working virtually. She breaks down the shifts that took place in her journey, the challenges that she overcame, and the wall she had to break through to step into her most powerful, most influential self. It was a beautiful journey to witness, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it - she has changed the way she shows up, the way she leads, and the way she moves forward. What part of your journey needs to shift for you to show up as the greatest version of yourself?

In this week's episode I am highlighting a story that I shared on my Facebook page that was the beginning of both the Thrive Collective, and Female Founders Club. A story of what has led me to the place I am now - a situation that has influenced my messaging and what I stand for, and has both navigated and fuelled the fire for what I am stepping into now. This episode is a call to trust in the timing of our lives. To take the “yes's” with gratitude, and the “no's” with grace. In this episode I challenge you to bring more joy to the process, to not get stuck in the trap of perfection, and to keep trying, and trying, and trying to put your ideas out into the world - because when the timing is right, and all those ingredients come together, it feels SO damn good! And I'd love to hear about your journey along the way! *** PS - For info on The Female Founders Club launch - click here link to get exclusive details on this upcoming launch.
SUCH a treat on the podcast today. Today I'm joined by the incredible Pam Fischer-Dale. Pam explains how she went from the corporate, high-tech world of silicon valley to becoming a highly successful entrepreneur and Certified High Performance Coach. Pam also chats about the HUGE milestone she just reached within her network marketing business; she became national vice president, which is something only 1% of people achieve. And yes, she did this during a worldwide pandemic. She also opens up about her decision to pursue motherhood, as a single woman, through the process of IVF, how the birth of her son, Charlie, truly changed everything for her, and how she really had to lean in to her spirituality and her coaching tool-kit when she tragically lost her father recently. Pam is also one of the founding members of The Thrive Collective - a collection of experts, coaches and consultants who will be working with the ladies in The Female Founders Club (launching in September) and we are so, so stoked to have Pam's presence on this team! She is such a bright light. For info on The Female Founders Club launch - click here https://charlotte-ferreux.mykajabi.com/TheFemaleFoundersClub
Honestly, I don't know how many more examples we need to see in this world for this to finally resonate and ring true for people…. This world needs stronger leaders. And it applies to every single dang one of us. Because leadership doesn't just mean you're in charge of a team. It's leading your family. It's in your communities. It's how you show up with people at the grocery store or in your office or at the gym. Every single time that your actions, your energy and your words have an impact on someone else - you're in a leadership position. So first, get comfortable with that and start to own the power that you have. In this episode, I'm going to challenge you in terms of how you show up as a leader….and not when things are happy and smooth and everything is peachy. But when things are tough and you're caught in the corner; when you're stressed to the max and life feels chaotic - how are you showing up in those times? *** Want to quickly gauge where you're at with your own leadership? Finally – after all of these years, finally I have the incredible Paula Moyer on the podcast! I have so much history with Paula and she's truly one of my soul sisters. Paula is someone who continually both inspires me and challenges me, and that's why I adore her so much. In this episode, Paula shares about her journey through this life and how she went from un-empowered, newly divorced single mom with $3000 to her name and terrified to even take a taxi alone (she finally did at the age of 40)….to a super successful, confident, empowered and hugely influential entrepreneur and business owner. I used to compartmentalize myself into two separate beings reflecting back over my careers through the years. There was business Charlotte – high standards, high integrity, confident & strong. And then there was personal Charlotte – people pleasing, seeing approval and sometimes unconsciously searching for something to fill a void that I didn't even know existed. I allowed certain behaviors from others and I was attracting in certain things based on how I felt. But what I failed to realize, and what I have learned and really shifted in the last few years especially, is that there is no separation. Who you are is who you are. Your value base and your integrity is the foundation of your personal and business lives. The work we do within our business is the same as the work we need to do as individuals to have the positive results we want within our lives; whether they are tangible results or the things you don't see, like how you think, what you believe and how you show up. And when there are cracks, fragments that are left unhealed, there is a cause and an effect that happens. What affects one, ripples out and has an effect on every other thing. And for every effect, there is an underlying cause. In this episode, I'm going to share my journey around this and some tips on how you can start incorporating the laws of cause and effect into your life and your business. **** To join the waitlist for Charlotte's upcoming program, The Shifted Business Academy, and to get connected content and updates head here. https://bit.ly/SHIFTEDBusinessAcademy In the SBA, we help purpose-driven entrepreneurs build their freedom life and high-value digital businesses as leading experts in their field. A few weeks ago, I sat down with a dear friend, Dr. Diana Draper. She has spent the last 10+ years on her educational journey, working tirelessly to become a naturopathic doctor and open her own private practice. A year ago, she made the bold decision to pause and step away from her private practice. In this episode, we talk about pushing forward in the uncomfortable moments of life, how to break free from the titles that we link to our identities and how to honor and really listen to the signals that your body is sending you to help guide you through this life. Sometimes in life, we get these key messages sent to us telling us that something is not in alignment; we aren't happy with something and we either need to drop it or make a change around it. But it's hard to listen to those messages because quite frankly, those choices are scary and we often aren't ready to make those big decisions. Diana shares what that process was for her when she was receiving signs that a big choice and change needed to happen within her life and the steps she took to get there. It was such a raw and honest conversation and something I always appreciate about Diana is how open and vulnerable she is. I'm so excited to hear how Diana's story impacts you. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I do! Reach out to me on Instagram @charlotte_ferreux
It doesn't matter what degrees you have. What credentials are behind your name. What experience you have. Sure, those things will “get the job done”. But they don't make you a great leader. In this week's podcast, I'm going to share my thoughts about the 5 things that DO make great leaders - and not one of them has to do with your education, your credentials, your experience or your knowledge
Enough is enough. I am coming from a place of privilege. I will never know what it feels like to be judged solely by the color of my skin. I will never know what it feels like to live in fear of the people who, to everyone else, are the ones they seek for safety. I will never understand what it feels like to overcome prejudice of this nature. But I do know suffering. I do understand grief.I do feel extreme pain when I see suffering. I don't always know what will help, and I have often felt at a loss for what I can do to help in these horrific situations. I do believe we are all one and we are all living a human experience. And if you've heard the stories and seen the videos and heard the pleas from George Floyd's mouth - then I'm sure you felt it as deep to your core as I did. (Along with all of the horrible stories that have led up to this point) Because I didn't just see George. I also saw Ahmaud.I saw my children. I saw your children. I saw my neighbors. I saw myself. I saw you. Enough is enough. If we want to activate change, it starts with each one of us. Every action matters, no matter how small. It matters how we show up for ourselves. It matters how we heal. It matters how we show up in our communities. Every time something like this happens, it lights a fire in me and this time, I was compelled to get my thoughts out so I recorded them in this powerful episode.
Whether you're building an online business or working for a company or anything in between, I want you to create something that is truly your own. We are so bombarded with incredible information and content and people who inspire us. But where we need to be careful is that line between being inspired and trying to recreate exactly what someone else is doing. And a lot of times, we do it without any intention of it or without even knowing it. It's really easy to get so inspired that it really just impacts what you are creating. I want to share with you my top 5 tips to create content that will feel aligned and have an incredible, ethical base - all while staying in your lane. Lauren is a Certified High Performance Coach and the co-creator of Mojo Mastery. I always admire Lauren for her openness and ability to be so vulnerable; we can all learn so much from each other and we connect on such a deeper level when we all let our guards down a little. Lauren did just that in our interview; listen in to hear some amazing tips and coaching on how to push through adversity, how to trust in the process, how to bounce back without guilt or shame when you haven't been acting as your best self and why finding a deep sense of WHY is the key to it all.
Brendon Lundberg is the founder and CEO of Radiant Pain Relief Centres and the author of the Amazon Best Selling book, Radiant Relief, A Case For A Better Solution To Chronic Pain. His mission is to really change the way chronic pay is both managed and understood, but his message and really our entire conversation is about so much more than just pain. As Brendon said, “it's about every human's desire to become a better version of themselves and fight through the thing that is their biggest challenge.” For Brendon's clients, that challenge is pain. Pain is a very human experience. We all experience it, whether physical, emotional or metaphorical, but it's uncomfortable. We hate it. And the natural tendency with things we hate is to avoid. We mask it. We don't want to deal with it because it doesn't feel good. Brendon's approach goes way beyond short term, band-aid solutions. His revolutionary approach really comes down to retraining the brain. You can find out more at www.radiantrelief.com
There's a story we tell ourselves when we see someone's successes. We get captivated and we start to make assumptions about the results that we see someone else achieve. “Oh they're so lucky” “Everything must be so easy and fantastic” “She must just have everything she wants”. The reality is that regardless of the followers or the success or the results, is that there is still lots of struggle there. It's not easy by any means; struggle doesn't just avoid the people who are successful. Krystal Sutherland is the perfect example; she has 1.3 million Instagram followers and her life and full time career is being an online social media influencer. Krystal joined me for this episode of Rebel and Rise and she got really real about the fact that despite feeling so blessed and grateful for the life and career that she has, it still comes with its share of challenges. You definitely want to listen to this episode; Krystal gets real about her insecurities and how she's tackled them, how she balances a full time career with being a mom and a wife, how she's really stepped into the CEO role of her business over this last year and how working on her own confidence is something she's most proud of.
Whether you are developing yourself as an entrepreneur, starting your own business, leading an MLM or trying to level up your brick and mortar business, a huge part of your business is how you show up on social media. It's a massive part of the game. In this episode, I share why showing up on social media is so important and some tips on how you can do it with joy & with purpose to really make an impact on your life and your business. And if you're the person who already is showing up on social media, some of these tips will really help you take that content, that message and that online presence to the next level!
I juggle so many different roles in my life - High Performance Coach, Spin Instructor, Business Consultant, Entrepreneur/Business Owner and single mom to two energetic kids. I've been asked quite often, “Charlotte - how do you get so much done?” In this new episode, I'm going to share with you the 3 things I do to help me get a lot done - the things that help me have such high ambition in my life but here's the key...how I do it without LOSING MYSELF in the process. Sure, we can all grind it out and get lots of shit done. But how can we do that while ALSO maintaining our health, our families and our peace of mind? How can we be ambitious and work towards crushing our goals but also feel centered, fully aligned, peaceful and free?
In this episode, I sit down with Don Freschi and we talk about something that, quite frankly, makes most people super uncomfortable. Money. As a successful entrepreneur and businessman, Don really knows his stuff especially when it comes to finances and money. Don breaks down for us: *Why Cash is King in your business or personal life *Adopting a stronger mindset when it comes to money and eliminating your ego *Why knowing your numbers each month is crucial *Prioritizing your goals *The biggest mistake Don has made in his years as an entrepreneur *How to know if YOU would make a successful entrepreneur Whether you own a business or not, there are tips in this episode for all walks of life!
Anger. Frustration. Your blood starts to boil. You feel triggered and extremely unsettled. How do you typically react in those situations? And how do you typically feel afterwards about yourself and the way you handled it? Not everything around anger is bad. We think it is, because usually when we are angry we react and respond in a way that isn't aligned with our best selves and leaves us feeling badly about ourselves. But if we can learn to take some space between how we are feeling and how we are reacting, and if we really start to use that fire and frustration to fuel us moving forward, then it can be a powerful thing. Anger in our lives CAN be a good thing. It can do us some service. In this episode, I want to start to break down how to USE those times where we are triggered, angry and frustrated and channel it in a way that's going to produce a powerful and positive outcome in our lives. We can turn use those situations that anger us so much and bring some purpose into it; we can use that fire to create the life we want and really stand up for the things we deserve in our lives.
Have you ever been in a situation where you've wanted to do something or make a change or take some action…. But the mere thought of what you could possibly LOSE in the process stops you dead in your tracks? The reality is that yes, in the process of making changes and reaching our goals and pushing ourselves forward, we have to do things we've never done (otherwise we'd already be there). And part of that sometimes means we have to give up certain things in our lives. It's a scary thought, though, especially when we are so ATTACHED to some of these things. The thought of having to give things up brings up so much fear that we just do nothing; the fear wins. In this episode, we tackle what some of those fears are that come up for us when we feel like we're going to lose something in the process of making a change or reaching a goal. I'll share a few tips on how you can actually start tackling those fears and how you can gain more confidence in your ability to push through those fears so that you can start living the life you really want. Because on the other side of those fears? Is your desired life.
Have you ever watched and noticed how elite athletes prepare themselves, mentally and physically, before their games and competitions? The focus, determination, drive and discipline required is admirable. Take a step back and evaluate your life right now...you are a player in that game. And that game is happening every single day. We are handed a blank slate every single day, and yet we don't put in that same amount of preparation, focus, determination? We don't have that same discipline in what is, truthfully, the most important “game” - our lives. We are taking that time for granted. In this episode, I really want to challenge you to evaluate your life and start to think about training for each day of your life like athletes train for their competitions. This is your game. How you choose to play it out is totally up to you. You can do more and have more and do better. You don't have to be an athlete to apply the same disciplines and habits and focus; you can do everything that they do. You can lean on the same habits. The recipe for success is there - you just need to start viewing your life a little bit differently.
You're working so hard. You feel like you are so clear on what you're working towards. You are taking the right steps and making smart choices to push yourself forward. And yet...you aren't seeing any progress. You aren't seeing that hard work amount to anything. You don't feel like you're any closer to those goals. You feel frustrated. Angry. Discouraged to no end. Listen, I get it. I have been there so many times I can't even count and I have really had to self-coach and lean on the tools I teach in terms of High Performance coaching to get myself through those tough times. But it's not easy; to feel like you're taking all the right steps but yet not seeing the results happen. It's so discouraging. Every single successful person in this world has been through this; what's the difference between those who just give up and allow those feelings of frustration to take over and those who charge ahead, through those bad feelings, ultimately reaching those goals? I can't speak for everyone, but I'll tell you what I coach on and what has worked in my own life! In this episode of the Change by Choice show, I'm going to give you a few tools and strategies that I use, and I hope you can too, when I'm feeling that discouragement when pushing towards a goal in my life
Hands up if this is you...You walk away from a sales experience and you just feel GROSS? They certainly didn't get your business, and you definitely won't be in a hurry to return. Yup...we've all been there. If you're in sales in any regard:
Leaders - listen up!Whether you lead a team within your business, within an MLM, within a volunteer organization or even within your family… Your PEOPLE are your greatest ASSET. Are you treating them that way? Because those people that you pay to do work for you? They aren't just means to an end. They are human beings. They are connected to other people. They go home to families . How you treat them, how you set them up for success, how you listen to them and be present with them and effectively lead them affects how they feel when they go home. Which affects their relationships. It affects their health. It affects how they show up for other people. Your choices and your actions have a ripple effect; especially when you're in a leadership role and you need to take that seriously. You can either be part of a process that builds up healthy human beings or part of a process that breaks human beings down. The choice is yours. Listen to this episode for my thoughts on this; why your people aren't just part of your business, they ARE your business, why it's so important and how you can start to shift in the right direction.
Attention all business owners: whether it be online, brick and mortar, MLM…don't let this cost you another penny...or more so, your reputation as a leader

There's a reason why your mind gets to a place where it's filled with more negative chatter. It stems from something. And that negative chatter connects to negative feelings, which in turn affects our physical health and our mental health. And the cycle continues. Everything connects together; you can't have a healthy body with an unhealthy mind. In this episode, let's talk through what it really means to have an unhealthy mind and some habits you can implement to start building up that healthy mind and help you feel better, more vibrant and generate the energy you want in your life. We are doing a whole month in the EDGE insider on this topic for the month of July, and we have experts in different fields that will be igniting this conversation even further on what it truly means to have a healthy mind, how we can achieve one, and how the foods we eat and the physiology of our bodies affects the state of our minds. We have lots of live trainings scheduled up for July, as well as our monthly magazine. I'd love to have you join us! In honor of my 50th episode, I wanted to share with you one of my defining moments in my life. It also happens to be a moment I was incredibly embarrassed to share for a long time in my 20's. But I love sharing things now that are connected to huge learning's and so, I'm going to share it with you :) Actually I'm excited I went through this, and I realize now that I learned so many lessons from the experience that really have shaped me into who I have become. So let me share my experience with you...so that hopefully, you can apply the lessons to your own life, or use my bad experience to help you never have to go through it yourself.
Are you productive? Or just busy? Here's the difference. Productivity feels like progress. It moves you forward, closer to your goals. You end the day feeling satisfied, fulfilled and accomplished without feeling frustrated, exhausted or burned out. Busy feels like chaos. You end the day feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, as if you've been running all day, putting out fires and playing catch up but you can't really think of what you actually got accomplished that day. Busy is addicting….many of us get addicted to that chaos. We get addicted to the fast pace, going all the time, tricking ourselves into believing that we are super productive. But are we really doing anything in those times? And are we doing the right things? In this episode, I'm going to walk you through how to identify if you're productive or if you're just busy and a few ways you can move forward in a more productive way. Change by Choice…it's not just my brand and my business, but it's really the root of how I live my life. When you want to change - it's just a series of choices. When you don't want to change - you don't make those choices. One choice at a time. Sounds simple….and it is. But complicated at the same time….because this is LIFE. Life is complicated. It's never a simple path, it's never as easy as it looks on paper. So how DO we make change in our life? Yes, it starts with our choices. But in this episode of the Change by Choice show, let's take it a few steps farther. I'll break down for you what I feel are the 3 crucial pieces to creating lasting change in your life. And if you really want to develop a strong mindset to help you create change in your life, I invite you to become an EDGE Insider. We are doing a live training call with Q&A this month based all around mindset; this would be a perfect time to jump in! You can check out the details here: Become an Edge Insider.
When we feel jealous or bitter or envious, it's usually because that other person has made a step and done something that you COULD have done if you hadn't chosen the things you had chosen right now. And when those feelings come up, it's a strong indication that something isn't aligned for you within your own life. In this week's podcast, we tackle this: jealousy and envy and how you can really use those emotions as fuel and motivation to push your own needle forward in your life.
We've all felt pain; it's part of what makes us so incredible as human beings. The scope of emotions that we go through, both good and bad, that tells the stories of our lives. And while we can't control the painful situations that happen to us, we can control what we do with them. Remain caged. Broken. Bitter. Trapped in the prison of the experiences you have been through. Or we can become find freedom. Gratitude. Release. Charged by the experiences you have been through to push forward in a stronger capacity. And, like everything in life, it's a choice. I'm not saying it's an easy choice, but a choice. It is possible for you if you have a little faith in the process. In this episode, let's break down what it really takes to go from caged and trapped by our experiences to that freedom; to that place where we can use our painful past to really build ourselves a stronger future moving forward. Listen to episode 46: Using Past Pain to Build Stronger Futures over on itunes, spotify or podcast addict.
Negativity, criticism, nay-sayers and rejection are going to show up everywhere. And when it does, we have two choices. Fall into it and join them, or rise above it. It's all about how you show up for yourself; it's about strengthening that mindset and developing the tools you need so that you're not triggered by this negativity. So that when you're around it, or someone says something to you, you don't just go to auto-pilot mode and react; you're able to slow the process down, reflect on it and take action based on informed choices. In this episode, I break down the 3 steps you need to take to really start rising above negativity in your life.
I'm a true believer that all of our choices are a reflection of our self-worth. What is that telling you when you choose to push aside the very things that can set you free, generate time, energy, freedom, peace, and happiness in your life? When instead of doing the hard work and charging forward, you are paralyzed by the internal dialogue saying “I'll start tomorrow”, “maybe next week”, “maybe once things slow down”, “maybe once the kids are out of the house”. The excuses keep flowing and you push yourself farther and farther from your goals; farther from the life you truly desire to be living. In this episode, let's dig into every part of your life and see where you're being held back; we only have one life. When is enough going to be enough? Because if not now, when?
A question I get asked a lot from leaders: Charlotte, how do I make my team more productive? How do I get them more committed to the business and my vision? How do I level up my success?Without knowing the ins and outs of the business, the history, the culture and what's currently going on, it's difficult to give a blank statement answer to that question. There are so many different layers that need to integrate to get a team to operate at that level. But the common thread is this: it starts at the top. It starts with the leader. In this episode, I start to really dissect what a high performance team looks like and what the first step is in achieving that level within your business or organization.
I think it's safe to say that no one wakes up wanting to feel bitter, resentful and angry. We want to feel great, we want to be happy, and positive, and have those great, fulfilling days. But yet somehow, we continue to get sucked into those negative thoughts. Because those negative thoughts are extremely powerful emotions. Once you start to fall into it, it consumes you. The power of those emotions really changes how you see things, how you act and what you believe. It's like a dark hole that you get sucked into. And the worst part is that once you're in it, it's really hard to get yourself out. It almost takes on a life of it's own; we start operating from a place that is beyond ourselves and it really takes over if we allow it. So - how do we get out of this bitterness and anger trap? And how can we strengthen our mindset to prevent us from falling into it time and time again? Listen in to this episode and I'll break it all down for you.
Aren't those happy people so annoying? Well, if you're in a negative place...then yes, I guess they would be. But you know what's actually annoying? The people who fail to take ownership over the energy that they give out to the world. The people who enter situations and interactions and conversations with negative energy, with gossip, with talking badly about other people, with complaining and anger. That's the energy that they put out into the world? We are all entitled to feel the way we feel...and to act the way we want to act. But in my opinion, that's complete bullshit. The world needs us to start taking accountability for that energy; to be more responsible with how we want to show up for other people. I'm not saying bad things don't ever happen. I'm not saying you can't feel angry or speak your mind if you need to complain about something. What I'm saying is this: happiness...true, authentic happiness, is not a result of our circumstances. It's a choice that we make every single damn day. In this episode, I dive into happiness; why it's so important to take ownership over how you show up, how you can bounce back quickly when shitty things do happen, and how you can shift your mindset towards a life full of more happiness.
He has a remarkable story; and truly one that we can all learn something from. You will leave this Podcast feeling a little differently. About how you are in your relationships - past and current. About the kind of role model you are being for the people in your life, whether that's your spouse, your family, your children or the community. About how you persevere through the struggles. And about the clarity of vision that you really have for your life. How did he retire….yes, retire, at the age of 29?How did he lose almost 100lbs in 6 months, after struggling for years with his weight? What is his biggest driving force, his greatest motivator, in life? Charly shares all of that AND shares his the 5 P's that he's built his life around and what he shares with the people he serves: Purpose, passion, positivity, productivity and profitable.
Why is it that some people can get knocked down, and have terrible things thrown their way...yet they still have this amazing ability to be positive and joyous and view those situations as experiences to learn from? Whereas another person could go through those same situations and for them, they feel as if their life is over and everything is terrible. It's because the first person has strengthened that mindset. They've done the work and they've taken ownership over their life, their happiness and how they want to show up. When you work through that and you build that strong mindset, then you're able to move yourself out of those bad situations more quickly. You're more peaceful, more joyous and you're producing more results in your life.Listen in to hear the shift I made this year that is causing such dramatic changes in my life, how you can start to live into your best and why it's so important. Courage + Action = life changes. We know when we're playing small and not living into our best selves. We know when we are not acting as our boldest self, our most courageous and integral selves. But you guys...it's so important to find that courage, take that action and most importantly, HONOR those choices that you make in your life. In this episode, we'll dig into this some more - why action and courage are so important, how you can honor yourself and your choices and why the this all matters so much in the first place.
